Choice gave me a little bit of misinformation. I needed them for plumbing and they sent me a plumber as quickly as possible. It was fine. The only thing is that they put in the request twice and I had to pay it twice and I was upset about it. They rectified it by saying if I needed them again, they would not charge me the next time I had to call.

The technician and completed results were a "5." But the original communications were almost missing. They originally told me to find my own electrician but at the last minute informed me who was coming. But he was not told and could not handle my issues. Finally came yesterday and did a top-notch job.

CHW is OK for minor things, but there are so many exclusions that sometimes it seems pointless to make a claim. For example, recently I had to replace the ballast on a fluorescent light in the bedroom closet. The electrician came out, checked, then said it wasn't covered. He then showed me how to replace it myself. Took about 15 minutes and cost less than $20. No rational reason why something like that is not covered. I contacted CHW and never got an explanation.

This last experience with Choice was far better than our previous experience. Our first experience was with a washer that died. We had to fight very hard and long to get replacement value. This time it was about repair of a furnace which Choice responded quickly with the part and service and the service company was great.

One experience was awful and one was great. About 7 weeks ago I called because my dishwasher quit working and 2 days later they sent a tech out and he told them what he thought was wrong with it. They said they needed to order a part and then they would be back and fixed it. They have never been back and they haven't called me. I called choice home warranty about two weeks ago and told them this so they called the vendor. They told them the part was on backorder and they'd be in the next week. That was two weeks ago. They never called me to tell me this. Another time my hot water heater went out. They sent a tech out on a friday. He came out with the part Monday and fixed it and by Monday evening I had hot water.

My customer support person has not called me back. We used the warranty for a hot water heater that was failing when we moved in. They helped us and got us a plumber who has not helped us. Choice supplied the equipment but the plummer has as of yet not called us back. I wish they would have more representatives in my area to help me instead of a single one that's hanging me out to dry.

It was one of the over the stove installed microwaves that works as an exhaust fan. They were very prompt in getting the service in time. The prior call before this one was regarding a plumbing issue and it took them awhile to find somebody to come out, but I don't have very good phone service in my office.

They were very quick getting someone out but I had a problem with the technician who did not come back but they resolved the issue and sent out a technician who was very goof and communicated with me. I had a great experience with their service. They responded quickly to my issues and sent technicians promptly. Although I faced a slight misunderstanding regarding a charge for my garbage disposal replacement, the service was efficient. It did take a bit longer for my heater pump to be installed, but overall, I'm satisfied with their responsiveness and support.

Some minor things (i.e., bathroom sink faucet) are not covered under the warranty. After 10 years of use, there will be some 'wear & tear'. Also, terrible experience with one of the vendors (All Star Plumbing) regarding a leaky hose on my washing machine (again, after 10 years of use). The technician lied to me about coming back to make the repair that he wrote down as recommended. Not only did he not return, he told the Choice rep that he did his diagnostics and found nothing wrong. .

My refrigerator was acting up and they weren't able to fix it completely in range of the warranty, which I didn't really agree with from what they were advertising and I have other cases where they actually did come out and complete the repair so I have pluses and minuses. As far as timing goes, they respond quickly and get somebody out quickly. I will not extend my warranty because there are too many little things they don't cover that I wasn't aware of.

We've only had one issue that is still pending. It's taking a while based on the fact that they have been waiting on a part for a dishwasher so we're pleased that it was approved but it's taken a couple of weeks. Choice sent out a repairman and he determined the issue and said it would be a couple days. We waited a few days and we got a message finally that they would send dispatch another technician. This is probably the third week and it just seemed like it took a little while longer than we expected.

I read over my contract quickly and I like what I see. We had American Home Shield and we weren't necessarily satisfied with them. We were able to contact them and explain what was necessary faster than we could with American Home Shield. We have the warranty on two properties and on one of the properties, a leak was fixed and it started leaking again but that was the only thing, they came out quickly. Also one plumber did leave a mess, though he did do a good job.

Had it for almost three years but I had an emergency situation with flooding in the bathroom and I waited three and half hours for them to call me back and inform they couldn't come out because the technician hurt his back and couldn't carry the equipment so I had to call another plumbing company and when I talked to choice they said I could submit the invoice for the cost of the service and I did and I heard nothing so called them and they only reimbursed me a hundred and thirty five dollars of the two hundred and ninety seven dollar invoice. They didn't help me, they made the situation worse and they are not interested in helping me only in covering themselves.
