UNACCEPTABLE -- Up until now we had great service with Choice Home warranty. We have had a claim pending for a gas dryer since September and still not resolved. You have contracted with Sears Repair service and have set 5 appointments that are no shows; we don't get a cancellation notice until sometimes after 4 p.m. This is UNACCEPTABLE. My husband has taken off 5 days of work to be there for this service call. You need to get someone else to do your subcontracting. This is deer season, he's is livid. What is going on with this? Now they've reset it for Tuesday 11-26. Thanksgiving week. I am really disgusted. Sorry to vent, this is not acceptable. If I hadn't paid over $2,000 for this warranty I would have retained my own repair person and doing laundry at my own home for the last 2 months. Going to the laundromat or hanging things up on a hanger to dry is getting really old. You need to address this situation.

You should know, because I voiced my dissatisfaction when appealing a claim. It was for a dishwasher, the first tech came, took the part and never followed up. The second one came over, and processed the claim. It was denied! She was very surprised herself. I first spoke to a claim specialist that told me that it was because the part was missing , and it was my responsibility based on the contract! We argue because I told her it was your tech that you sent, who took the part. Then spoke to another Manager who told me that it was not that, but because it was not normal wear and tear. I googled it, and a lot of people had the same issue, so? I wanted to cancel my insurance with you, but I was told I would not get any refund? This is not what I was told when someone convince me to buy it for three year, with the assurance that I could cancel anytime, reason why I bought it for three years. Next I order the part myself, ($50) and fixed it myself. The result: I am a very upset customer, (Real Estate Agent) for a very small intervention that you did not cover for lame reasons.

I feel like it's worth it, but often difficult to get the right person out for the job. Also, even if a repair was approved, I would have to pay a significant out of pocket amount for "uncovered items". It took 8 visits and as many months to get my refrigerator fixed. While it was covered, it was done very inefficiently.

I can get faster service on my own. Not saying cheaper service. But when you file a claim on a garage door opener and you get a service appointment for 2 weeks later. And they think that's a service?? You would think customer service would reach out to you and see if like maybe your car is locked in the garage and you would be without a car for that long. No there was no communication at all except feedback requests. Well here is your feedback. I never give feedback until the service is complete. But you wanted it so here you go. Effective immediately i want my contract cancelled. Do not attempt to charge my card again.

I am extremely DISSATISFIED with this service. Not only is customer service lacking, the contracted service providers are also of inferior quality. The AC company told me I had a loose wire connection and waited 3 days to tell me they were denying coverage. I had a different company evaluate it. They told me it was a burned mother board. When I called them back, they refused to covet it as I did not have THEIR contractors evaluated it. I live in Florida with my 90 year old mother and pets. Two weeks without air after 2 hurricanes is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Currently I have now been waiting 3 weeks for an electrical repair. It was approved but yet again the inferior contractors did not initiate service once they were advised, made appointments to do the service and failed twice to arrive. When I called, I was told they had skipped my house as they did not have the outlets or switches on the work van. The second time they never showed up. Neither instance did they bother to notify me. As soon as this service is completed. I will be canceling and demanding a refund. To add insult to injury, my case manager has yet to return a phone call or an email. Thus company and its contracted service providers are awful. I am extremely disappointed.

choice home warranty does not care about their customers!!! we have had our air conditioning down since July and they keep setting up service with vendors who no longer work with them. My microwave have been told to them by a Sears technician that it needs to be replaced and yet they have not given me a replacement and it’s been over two months now. They will not let you speak to a supervisor to have this escalated to get taken care of. Choice Home warranty is so terrible that my wife and just want to take a loss on our prepaid warranty and just pay everything out of pocket. We have wasted our money and a lot of time

Contacted Choice Warranty to schedule a home visit to diagnose a Samsung fridge ice maker not working. The third party vendor scheduled for morning showed up at three in the afternoon after I had been waiting almost the entire day. The tech had a bad attitude and unfriendly demeanor. Without much diligence he told me a new ice maker would have to be ordered. He told me someone from his office would contact me to schedule the install. Choice Warranty contacted me and told me they would not fix it because “it should be Samsung’ responsibility not Choice to replace the faulty ice maker” I was charged $85 for nothing as the third party vendor didn’t even spend 15 minutes to look at the fridge without doing anything physical to earn my money. I feel cheated out of my hard earned money. I don’t know if the grouchy tech had anything to do with the adverse report as he left my house clearly disgruntled after learning he had been given a parking citation for unlawful parking on my street during street sweeping hours.

Sprinkler head in ceiling burst (cold weather); tech came but couldn't repair. Kitchen faucet repaired promptly. Hot water heater repaired promptly. Refrigerator claim denied; appealed--after 10 years of working properly, defect couldn't have been anything other than normal wear and tear, but appeal denied. I'm unhappy!

We chose Choice Home Warranty because of the reviews online. However, we have been nothing but disappointed with the service. Basically, we need our water heater replaced. Choice has sent 4 plumbers to our house (at $100 per visit), each of whom has said the heater needs replacing. Choice has refused to replace it, even though the plumbers said it could start leaking at any moment and flood our house. Not only that but their customer service canceled appointments without telling us. They also denied claims and didn't let us know, we had to call them and ask why. They don't disclose what the plumber said when they denied the claim, even though the plumbers have said there should not be a way for them to deny it. When we submitted claims, we got emails saying someone will be coming between a certain time but when that time occurred no one showed up and we'd get a call from that company saying that Choice never scheduled a time but submitted a request. Overall, the process has very unpleasant and unhelpful.

A/c went on a Sunday. Was told contractor wouldn't be out till Thursday. I called contractor myself. He came out on Monday. Diagnosed that evaporator coil was leaking. Said need whole new system due to age. Paid my deductible. Did not hear back from Choice. Had to call them. There customer service consists of you call a number wait on hold then they ask for your number. You have to wait on a call back. They finally call back. I had to call five times to finally get someone to try to approve claim. They came back that I owed 5000 after the deductible. After more calls I was told they would review my claim. They said they do not cover the compressor or refrigerant.. after a week and a have of fighting them i canceled and had a real company install a a brand new ac and furnace for 5500. Waste of time and money.. worst customer service i ever had..

When the sales rep gave me the pitch about CHW... I mentioned that many of my appliances were old. He assured me that if something broke they fix it or replace it with something similar. I just needed to pay the service fee of $65. I signed up for 6 years. Several years later, my hot water heater failed. The could not fix it and they replaced it! This is a wonderful service I thought... and I told my friends all about CHW. Another two years have past and my oven stopped working. A technician came out, assessed the problem and call several days later to indicate the parts were no longer available. CHW offered to give me $338 gift card at Lowes to replace the oven. The oven cost is $4000. CHW indicated that I misread the agreement... they could replace the unit OR give me money. They elected to give me money... but not even 10% of the cost of an equivalent oven. So, I recommend you UNDERSTAND the FINE print and the meaning of the words before you sign up with CHW.

The promise to replace appliances is a joke. I had a washer go out. I was told repair was too expensive and they sent me to Lowe's (with a promise of a gift cert w/in 30 days) after I paid for the new machine and delivery and install myself. The "gift cert" for more shopping at Lowe's did not cover even half the cost. I will never use this company again. The only other claim I had was for a minor repair, and after my $85.00 payment, they agreed to cover the repair (probably $25.00 extra payment to plumber.l)

Always something to decline or ask for more information., or require a new submission because once the assessment was done and found to be an issue with a different appliance ( dishwasher not working but was because it was a garbage disposal issue and then I was going to have to pay another service charge for the garbage disposal) It was always something like this.

Since the beginning , I had issues with communication with this company. I now have a gas leak that they sent HVAC and a handy man. And now two other plumbers, the first submitted report to review and wait approval. And now they sent a second plumber and we are passing through the same issue. If you have gas make sure you inform your self on red tags and if your gas company provides them or do them digitally. On the other hand, they did send a plumber for a water leak Liberty Drains. He was fast efficient and highly professional. 5stars on my book.

I’m not happy with it at all my stove was looked at and they said it wasn’t a problem with it and it was the was it worked they will order me some more burners for it but I never received them but was charged 75.00 to tell me that I could’ve did that myself and saved me some money. The locks on my doors was supposed to be changed but they only made new keys I could’ve bought them on my on and saved 75.00 he didn’t put a key lock on the front door just changed the key to the top lock I’m not happy at all with this service. I called I had a freaking flood in my home on Sunday 10/06/2024 from the sink due to my pumping and or the garbage disposal or dishwasher being put together wrong. They said I with be charged for three different people coming out to see what the problem is with the water running all over the place. I have dishes stacked up I can’t wash and the appointment for the plumber is not until 10/16/20204 I’m deeply pissed off i think this service sucks to high heaven this way the seller paid for your service because they knew I was in shit to my knees with this house and was going to make you some money.

Has not been the greatest experience. I had a claim about my refrigerator and you sent a tech that I had to pay. He did a quick fix and said that it would freeze up every few months and it did. We put up with it for months before we purchased another one. Now recently my ac unit went out. A tech came and fixed it then told us that if we did not get a maintenance contract with them then my warranty would not fix my unit that he said was 40 yes old. We just got the house not too long ago and you guys did not say that. But we will see

I’ve bumped this rating up to a 2 because of the service that I recently had for an HVAC fix. However, policy and other docs not clear on repair of drywall and was extremely disappointed by the spin that I was given as to why my repair was not covered although there was nothing documented to prohibit coverage. At best, their documentation is poorly written and in need of clarifying updates; at worst, they’re not working with their customers in good faith. Seeking a replacement company as we speak.

Your all's service sucks. My dad has been without his air for more then 2 weeks. It will not turn off when you turn the thermostat off. There have been two different companies that have came and looked at it . The first company got it fixed with the leak. The second company didn't even do anything. All they had to do was cut a pcv pipe and they did not do anything. They said they was going to order parts but didn't let us know which parts we needed. Now you all are trying to get a third company to come look at it but I haven't heard from anyone about coming to look at it. They are trying to find someone local. I still have heard no response. My dad has COPD and he needs his air on at night. He can't leave it on because it runs and doesn't cut off.
