You were a 5 until I had to work with multiple case managers on 1 claim. I have been given the run around for 3 weeks on 1 documents. This experience has ruined a 5 star score. These mangers do not call you back. They can't make a decison. They have been awful.

Microwave quit working and took over 3 weeks to finalize claim ticket. Choice only wanted to give me $191 for a exact replacement that costs $349. Then after disputing they agreed on $249. I had already paid the tech that came out $85 to check it out. It was repairable but Choice did not want to pay for a repair. Now I am also stuck with the bill for reinstallation into the wall. The reimbursement is going to be in the form of a gift card to Lowes but may take up to 30 days to receive it. Thus I will be out of pocket approximately $235 for replacement and installation. If I wait for the card to come I will only be able to buy at Lowes. I cant wait 30 days more for the card so I will also be out of pocket another $249 until the card comes. Then I can only use it at Lowes.

I used it and they told me I had to pay $400 for the A coil because they said what needed to be repaired was not part of the AC system. I asked four different people if it was part of the air conditioning system and they all told me it was. I am refusing to pay since I already paid an annua premium for the warranty and I just don't think its fair to me as the consumer.

Response time should be more timely . And when the provider calls and receive the information regarding the appliance they should walk with the product to avoid the second visit and further delaying the repair. This is usually a big inconvenience.

I had two air conditioners that over 10 years old and were located on the Jersey shore in the salt air. They had to be replaced by your workers denied both one was my fault for the 10 year old A/C in the salt. The other had two units but I didn't report the other unit (didn't know I had to) and worker said the small unit 1.5 tons was covered but not the 3 ton unit that had to be replaced.so it cost me over $6000. When I appealed decisions I got know all the appeal perso did was read the first report. When I tried to cancel all 3 houses I was told that I would get not funds back.

I have nine separate policies for rental property I own and spend $450 per month on CHW premiums. I originally signed up for the service the help with the convenience and ease of getting things repaired or replaced. The amount of hours I have to spend arguing with CHW's terrible staff on the phone absolutely removes the convenience factor. In addition, 50% of the time I file a claim, they don't have a technician available in my area and give me the option to hire my own. Every time I hire my own, they put me and my technicians through the absolute ringer trying to get approval for those specific claims. They drug out a claim on a furnace for more than a week and a hot water heater for 4 weeks. The majority of those specific claims are ultimately denied while a lot of my time, and the time of my technicians are wasted. Imagine not having heat for a week in the winter or no hot water for nearly a month? CHW doesn't care. The goal of their staff is not to provide a service which you the client pays for but rather to absolutely maximize profits on the front end. It's truly is if they have no long-term business goals because they are losing me as a high paying customer. If I would have simply placed $450 a month in my business savings account, I could have more than paid for all of the repairs and replacements I originally needed CHW for but with far less hassle and stress.

They sent an electrician and the electrical company insisted that we have to pay full amount of their service. They said that Choice Home will not pay the remaining balance because we opened the switch that they supposed to repair. Choice Home should review this experienced we had because it's not good at all. Very disappointed of having a back and forth conversation with the electrician they sent. They never seem to live up to what they advertise in their coverage. I'm supposed to have replacement cost coverage but every time that comes up all they want to do was reimburse for some lower amount which won't cover the replacement. I always seem to get into arguments with them about trying to settle whatever I'm calling from about. They never want to cover what's supposed to be covered.

I'm not really happy with them. What I paid for my home warranty I think I could have had faster and better service. I needed my washer serviced for a drain that was clogged up and they sent a handy man out. He poured some stuff that he shouldn't have down the drain and couldn't fix it. They told me I could find my own company and they would reimburse me. When I did I had to wait 6 months for the reimbursement check for the service and they didn't cover the whole thing. They can't seem to find people to come out and service.

For my garage door repair, the repairman adobes that both springs were installed 2008 and one was snapped the other was ready to go. He advised that Choice would only authorize one spring, and I would need to pay $198 for the other. I was not happy that Choice was not willing to take care of the appropriate repair to take care of the problem. Previous claim was denied for a pool pump that stopped working. Makes me wonder why I’m paying for insurance.

Although the repair was set up by Choice, the plumbers on both occasions did not show up or call to explain why they didn't show up. my dryer (gas) quit i called they said give them time to locate a repair man after a week i called they still had no one they were having a problem locating one i said sears trucks r allways around they contacted them they came out they tried oreded one no langer averable but tried another to make it work but it diden't now it's over 6 weeks i call give them more time we have only one laundery mat my husband is a disabled vet i am cancer (colon) disabled i haved called for two more weeks they say they are still trying to decide what they r going to do to day I asked to speek to a manger they got one she said what is your problem there is nothing can be done said good by and hung up this is causting us money and we do r laundry & thaking wet to dry I have never had any problems before but I do now I did say to the preson I am thing there should get compsation that when she hung up or get this fixed now as I said we r retired I have been trying to be paticent but after today I am really getting upset u have always been very helpfull please help us thank u so much have a blessed day

I thought Choice was very responsive with plumbing and electrical items. However, when it came to my air conditioning system failing, I was found to be at fault and Choice did not cover ANYTHING on replacement. I have never been exposed to a worse experience with no communication with Choice in a 2-week period when temps were over 100 degrees and I had no air conditioning. They didn't even join the 15-minute meeting that was scheduled a week in advance. Right now, I regret that I paid for a 3-year agreement with Choice, and I'm only halfway through it.

The hype of getting me to join to the point of actually using the services was just like night and day, when I actually truly needed the services of my air conditioner being looked at in 110 weather it took a week and then I had to call the company to find out what was going on and then all of a sudden everything become a priority. And wants the technician got on site and did his job very properly and professionally the whole time I felt like a bad person for using the services for his scrutinizing as choice was to help me restore two pounds of freon in my system. 2 lb! I paid more for the services of a year than what it was going to cost to recharge my system and get me and my family comfortable. I guess in the end as the customer I was guilty of being wrong and not needing the services until proven innocent and needing the services. Definitely would not recommend this company for anyone who lives in West Texas.

Only my second claim and they did not live up to their contract. They claimed my issue was not covered under the contract until I had to screenshot and send the exact portion of the agreement. Then they sent out a technician. After the technician identified the issue visually and verbally, the technician waited over 45min. for verbal authorization from Choice Home Warranty. The technician could wait no longer and had to leave for another job. Later I receive a message on the CHW portal, the technician found no faulty mechanical failure and not replacement needed. I then had to contact and pay for my own plumber to replace a bad Pressure Valve. Do not trust CHW. .

Last year I had a pool problem. You could find anyone to pick up the job so you said I could find my own person and be reimbursed. I found someone to replace my pool pump. It cost me around $1,200. If you asked how much I was reimbursed and you said zero dollars you would be correct. No money and no explanation. last month my AC stopped working I called and you contracted a company to do the repair. After a week or so when no one showed up I called back and was assured someone would fix my ac. Again no one showed up. I called back today and you contacted another company. I'll see if someone shows up.

First time I had a problem with my central air I emailed a claim. Didn't hear anything so after 2 weeks I called a A/C service on my own they came out fixed the problem and I paid the claim out of my own pocket. Technician had part on his truck. A month later A/C went out again on a Friday afternoon. I called in a claim and said I did not want to hire my own technician. Got an email on Tuesday afternoon saying a contractor had been called and appt was scheduled for Friday. Luckily my son was able to diagnose and fix problem on Saturday. f I would have waited for Choice Home I would have been without A/C in 90-degree heat. Is this why I pay 43.00 a month? I have other more worthwhile places to put that money. Just sign me as ANOTHER unsatisfied customer !!!
