The contractors they send out are not the best. I've had to call back to get someone else to come back to my house because they never showed back up. Also if a part can't be found, instead of replacing the appliance they pay you for it & then you have to replace the appliance

I have been a customer for about seven years. At first Choice gave excellent service. It is only in the last year or two that you are having trouble getting help.

If a service repair guy decides an appliance unrepairable, this company advertises it would replace it by giving you the funds to buy a similar appliance. However, the truth is that they give you a third of the cost of a similar appliance. I call that false advertising!!

I am disappointed that when an appliance cannot be repaired, I am not receiving the proper compensation for a new one. Instead, I have to pay the difference between the cost now vs. what Choice is giving for the new appliance. I was under the impression that if an appliance cannot be repaired that a new appliance will be provided for without additional cost to the consumer.

They assign very small plumbing companies which sometimes are not even local. They are not properly equipped and may only have 1 or 2 employees. The second assigned company had their employee on my job walk off the job and refuse to come back. They sent their other employee to finish the job.

Last experience was a total failure. Took almost 2 weeks to get a plumber and when they finally found one, the tech wasn't even Qualified. Paid the service fee and was told he will need to send it to choice for the decision and it got closed and I still had a water leak damage behind my wall. I had to personally call a plumber and pay it out if pocket.

I got the service in November. In January my dishwasher stopped working. They sent our technician to fix it . He did not have the necessary parts, and at that time getting parts was difficult. I called three different times and spoke to the technician. Finally I called the company. They told me that they had closed out the account since they had not heard from me. They began the process again sent out more than one technician they were unsuccessful and fixing the dishwasher. But at the end of August I finally received a check to pay for the new dishwasher. However the check was not what it would take to get a dishwasher like mine. In the end I wound up buying a second hand dishwasher and moving out of the house. I found the company's service to be terrible. I found their follow-up to be terrible and I would never deal with them again

Impossible to reach a live person. Repair co they chose was totally incompentent and impossible to work with. When I had a call back I was told that I would have to pay another service call because the first 'tech' claimed the problem was lack of maintenance. I can prove not true. When I disputed the second possible charge I was told repeatedly that if I couldn't prove what was wrong w/my garage door opener when the next tech came out that I woul have to keep paying service fees until I could. My opener was not working intermitedly so no way to prove. They then refused to send someone - who couldn't come anyone for several days. Desperate for competent care I called a local company who sent somewone that day and diagnosed the problem as a failed computer board which the first guy didn't even consider. During this time I had received an e-mail message from CHW asking if I wanted to chose my own repairman and when I didn't see that message in time to respond to it (they only waited a couple of hours) I was then sent another message to tell me that my opportunity to choose my own repairman was now closed and I would have to pay the service fee for them to find me one. This is insane but a great way for them to avoid paying someone local to do the job their people couldn't do. I clearly bought a 'pig in a poke' when I purchased their contract. It's amazing to me that from the first day I bought my contract I have continued to receive several e-mails a week from their sales department offering to sell me again the contract that I had just purchased. They have no idea what they are doing and they owe me for the new opener that I had to purchase on mu own. However,I have no way to contact them to submit a bill added to the fact that they told me I had lost my opportunity to do so because I didn't respond in the short time they allowed.

Well two times my air conditioner went out, it went out last year and it was like last year it was like 97, I'm 80 years old and they could not get anybody out to take care of it so I had to have it done locally and out of pocket expense was 270 something dollars. This year it went out they couldn't get anybody out to me within 72 hours, I had just had Covid and I had pneumonia so I had to get that done locally again that was another out of pocket expense of a 127 dollars. A week later it went out again, I called them they said they would have someone out to check it within 24 hours, it was 48 hours and that was over three weeks ago and I still do not have an air conditioner. I have been told about 15 different things and none of it is true and it's going to wind up before it over costing me over 3000 dollars for something I had a warranty on. Hopefully they will get it fixed within the next six or seven days, I don't know so far it has not worked at. So no I'm not very happy with it I'm not happy with the company and I'm not happy with the way they response I'm not happy with their follow up through.

My microwave was not working, it was not giving power, so they paid me 50% of the microwave but it is a built in microwave which cost me to change the microwave which cost me about $900.00 and they say that the check will come in 30 days. I still haven't received the check, but they are offering not the replacement cost, only the partial cost. They don't listen properly to the customer, I am not satisfied at all.

I had the kitchen faucet replaced last year. The new faucet was dysfunctional and obviously of the lowest quality possible. For example, the faucet alternated between spray and stream on its own and I would then struggle to switch to the function I wanted. The plastic part connecting the faucet to the hose broke when I was extending the faucet to spray the sink. Choice refused to accept responsibility for installing an egregiously inferior product. Shame.

Very pure customer service. Two claims. The washer machine did not work and Choise home warranty approved a replacement. They never paid me one cent. At the moment, they gave me a replacement for my Dishwasher. They offered to pay me $246.00. For that money, there is no option to buy any dishwasher. I used the exact same dishwasher as I had. I paid $539.71 including tax. They tell me that they only cover retail price. I asked that they order or tell the lady where I can order. The answer was that they don't. Have I emailed at least ten times. In the last email, I said that I would sue them in the competent court. They immediately called me to talk to me. And again nothing. I think it is a very bad Company. I pay Home warranty for nothing.

A covered service repair under Choice Home Warranty's ultimate coverage plan was not reimbursed based on a technicality of not submitting the claim before the service was performed on our disabled HVAC system, even though we had elderly parents visiting our home that weekend from another state and the home was hotter than 80 degrees and rising. BTW...this was in early August with temps in the 90's outside. Choice Home Warranty extends no compassion for its customers. Even after I explained the emergency situation I had, and the fact that I used their approved HVAC company in their network of contractors, they still won't reimburse me for the cost of the replacement part (blower motor), less the $65 service call fee. When I asked to have the matter escalated to higher management, no name was given and only told to wait for a possible phone call. The integrity of this company is very poor!

Once they handled a claim on my washer and repaired it. When I had the same problem again, they opted to replace it and offered a gift card at Lowe's for about half of the cost of Lowe's cheapest model. I called them about insufficient Amy offered. They said would assign a claims agent to handle further action, rec'd 1 email from her with contact info. I spent the next 3 months calling and leaving voice-mails and sending emails. Some company policies don't make sense. My AC went out in the summer, and it took 3 weeks to get a part to fix it. In the meantime, they wouldn't work with me on expediting it or finding a different service provider who might have it in stock. Then, had a pluming leak and flooding in the house, and their policy is not to make any sort of emergency call for a plumber. The policy is the policy, didn't matter that I needed someone fast to stop the flooding.

My first experience with Choice warranty was a nightmare. I took them 3 month to do a simple washer repair. They made my life so miserable that I would not wish that experience for anyone. They charged me more than a new washer. I was much better off just replacing my washer. I contacted anyone that I could possibly contact but to no avail. I escalated my claim to the sales person Adam D he hang up on me, I escalated to the claim manager she was very rude and did not care at all. I have all the records which I can provide to anyone from Choice. This is not a bogus claim it is a real life experience. Please please people do not I repeat do not sign up with this company, they make your life miserable.

I have had a recent claim that was denied based upon erroneous understanding of the damaged part, an A/C condenser coil. We have a Trane unit. CHW's inspector came out and recommended replacing the coil. They denied coverage based upon a "corrosion" exclusion. It is impossible to apply that exclusion because the coil is made from 100% aluminum for the purpose of it not being able to corrode. The report from CHW's inspector clearly states the failure is NOT due to corrosion. When I explained this to the "case manger", he would not even attempt to see it the way it really is and just kept saying he had to go by the policy. They are badly denying our claim and I can't help but believe it is just a "rubber stamp" denial, regardless of what the facts are.

From the onset Choice never fully explained anything to me. I had to google the the business to get a customer service phone number. So when my garbage disposal stop working, I called a got a referral to a plumber to come check it out. He said it was definitely broken and I'd need to replace it. I asked if it would be replaced with the same kind, 3/4HP and not standard builders. He said that would be an upgrade and would have to get an ok from Choice. So they did and he put in the new one. I wasn't able to use it right away as I had surgery and was in the hospital for 5 days. So it was about 2 weeks before it was used. I called the plumber again and told him I was unhappy with the disposal he put in because it wouldn't drain. The owner told me they put in a Bardger 1/2 hp. Which was written on the invoice. This was a bate-n- switch. Then the guy that installed it called me and lied to me, telling me they no longer make the model I had for safety reasons. So I got on the internet a searched for what I used to have. Guess what? They still make it! Lots of them! I then called your company and was told they wouldn't do anything, so I asked for a manager, same deal, no deal; I get what I got. The end. Very rude and couldn't care less. This is the second survey I've done for this company. That are dishonest and and ask for a total refund of $1200. They only return less than $1000.00. I am very disappointed in this situation. I will not be referring Choice Home Warranty to anyone.

Their call center is manned by idiots who haven't a clue what in the heck they are doing. It took me dozens. They tried to reimburse me $1050 for an entire a/c system which was under their warranty. They cost of the replacement was $8050. After numerous calls, my story made it to the management side of things and they agreed to pay me another $3950 because, unbeknownst to me, we have a $5000. When after 2 weeks had past and still no additional check, I called them and, "I'm sorry....I don't know what happened.....sometimes these things just get hung up in the system. I've pushed it through but it could another three weeks.
