Put in a claim for a roof leak, and it was denied, with no explanation to me or the roofer! I hardly ever put in a claim and when I did it was denied?! With the amount of money I pay per month, that is inexcusable ! I was not looking for a new roof, just some patchwork!

I heard good things online I had a technician come to my house on June 18. My refrigerator needed a part I checked online and it’s a very common part. I still have not heard from the company and it’s two weeks later in the middle of the summer and my refrigerator is not working properly. Totally unacceptable.

On August 3, my Choice Home Warranty agreement became active. Ironically, on that very day, our main air conditioning unit stopped working. Murphy's Law certainly applied. I immediately submitted a service claim. Although the AI claims system was slow to respond, my claim was eventually processed and a work order was sent out. On August 4, an HVAC company accepted the assignment, and a technician was scheduled to come to our home on August 5. The technician arrived as scheduled and immediately began diagnosing the problem. After multiple attempts to reset the circuit breaker and replacing the capacitor, it was determined that the compressor had completely failed. Later that same day, I was notified that Choice Home Warranty had denied my claim and would not cover the compressor replacement. I disagreed with the decision and requested that my claim be reviewed again. I then received an email informing me that I had been assigned a case manager who would be my single point of contact. However, to discuss the denied claim, I was required to schedule a 15-minute appointment through an online calendar. The first available appointment was 11 days away. Waiting nearly two weeks to discuss a denied air conditioning claim during one of the hottest months of the year is completely unacceptable and demonstrates poor customer service. The reason given for denying my claim was that, under Agreement A2, my air conditioning system was allegedly not in proper working order before the warranty became effective. That is simply not true. The unit was operating normally until the day my warranty became active, when it unexpectedly failed. I had absolutely no reason to delay reporting such a significant issue. In Georgia summer heat, a functioning air conditioner is essential for the comfort and safety of my household, and I reported the failure immediately. I am giving Choice Home Warranty 1 out of 5 stars, and that's only because the technician who was dispatched was prompt, professional, and accurately diagnosed the problem. If half-star ratings were available, that is what I would have given. My experience with the claims process and the denial of coverage has been extremely disappointing.

Ill be dropping you when my warranty runs out. I have a water leak. You will only pay for the valves to shut off the water. The leak is still there after the valves would be replaced. Doesn't make sense. I paid good money for insurance but you don't want to fix the problem. Very displeased with your co. will let everyone i come in contact with how you wouldn't take care of my problem. You should be ashamed of yourselves for screwing your customers like this. I hope this happens to you and your family's. You go home at night so proud how you saved the company money today. Patting yourself on the back on what a fine job you did. One day you'll have to answer for your deeds.
