It took over 3 weeks to get my issue resolved. I kept calling CHW to in form them that the company they chose didnhave a clue. Three different parts were ordered by 3 different technicians. When it was all said and done, Im told that the ice dispenser was not repairable. Spoke with my claims adjudter and informed him that it wasn't enough that they were awarding to even get close to a replacement. The claims adjuster ssid it was his call and that's all that was going to be allowed. Then he tells me, it will take 30 days to mail a check!! Carrier pigeon I guess. I have never had an issue with CHW until this issue.

From the last time I've had to use them. I had work done by an electrician never finish the job. I called them a couple times and I called the electricians to find out when they were going to complete the job. It was never done so when I called Choice back they said it had been too long and I had to re-open another ticket which meant that I had to pay another service fee for something that was never completed to begin with. I blame Choice for closing the ticket and I blame The electricians were never finishing. Thank God the new electrician they sent out with a new company finished a job it was very professional. But I had to pay again which was not fair.

We needed to use the warranty when our garbage disposal broke, and it was totally replaced within one week. The company that they outsourced it to got right in contact with us, and we had an appointment within a couple of days. And even with them ordering parts, it was totally replaced in a week. They are always available to answer.

My garbage disposal broke and so I went online to set up a claim and somebody reached out to me within 24 hours to schedule an appointment. The company they got was very responsive, they were good. I didn't feel like they were trying to rip me off or anything. It was really nice.

I file the claims online, and it was pretty easy. My garage door opener was acting up, and so I put a claim in and it was a really easy process and they were there in two days. The company that came was a very good company compared to some of the other home warranty companies. I was very happy.

I submitted my claim and I had a response back that it's being assigned to a certain person and that person would be in touch with me and be out to the house the next day at which happened. The turn around town time was very quick for the repair person to get to the house.

They didn't seem to understand my claim very clearly one time when I was trying to explain the problem and that was a little frustrating. It was a very relatively minor problem but it was good. It was fairly quick and I'm satisfied with it. My AC was out and I got a reply from them and the company they chose was excellent. The man at the service deck could not have been more efficient. He listened to my problems, listened to the situation, diagnosed it, solved it and was gone within an hour.

My AC was leaky. I called them, went online, they put in the service order. They E-mailed me the information of the AC company they were using. They scheduled a time to come in and went in and fixed it. And then that was it. It took less than it was less than a week.

You could actually talk to a person, answer the call, and they are good about returning phone calls. Our sump pump in the basement had overflowed and they were able to come out pretty much the next day and took care of it for us.

The several times that I did have to call for, my plumbing and my AC. They listen to what I needed and provided me with excellent service. It's a comfort to know that I do have someone I can call in an emergency to have something fixed here in my home.

My AC went out and I had to do a warranty claim. It took about two days until they actually got here but when the service people got here, they were able to find the issue, fix it. And then it was affordable just to pay the $65 fee to the contractor and I was happy because the AC started working after that.

The first time I need to use my warranty, took over 30 days to get the hot water replaced. The first time they struggled finding a service technician in the area to pick up the service request. The service request was almost completed. It never was actually fully completed. I had to follow up with them and the next service person they had on that same claim was a no call, no show. And then I followed up with them again and they told me they were having problems finding a service technician. And then when I followed up again, they told me it had been over 30 days since I last followed up, so they closed the claim out. If it still wasn't fixed, I have to open a new claim. So that was my introduction to choice home warranty, and it was horrific. But I was locked into a year with them and the subsequent home warranty service requests have been better for sure. But it was a very poor initial experience with them. This last one I had, they had a service technician assigned within 24 hours, and the service technician called me and showed up when he was supposed to and made the repair on this first trip. It was absolutely perfect. It was textbook.

Recently I had to use the home warranty for a microwave. When I did the online stuff, they kept rejecting it, and then when I call, they put me on hold and then the person didn't understand me too well, but I got the service. When they give you a date and a time about the service personnel it's right on the money so to speak. And he did a fantastic job.

Choice Warranty contacted the repairman right away and he called me to set up an appointment. The appointment was further out than I was comfortable with, so I called someone else that came right away and made the repair. I did call the rep back to cancel and he was very curtius.

I need to first say I've only used them once on a minor issue, garbage disposal replacement. But they had someone out within a week. The person was professional, knowledgeable, courteous. Arrived a little early after confirming that was ok with me. Got the job done quickly, efficiently, and cleaned up afterwards.

Water heater had to be replaced and the company they sent was very nice and accommodating. Only issue I had was the part they said I had to have the insurance would not pay for and that was 150.00$ since this was mandatory I feel I should not have had to pay for it. Wasn't the vendors fault.

The problem with Choice is you feel lost with them. The system is so difficult to get to communicate, to get answers, all emails are no replay, others are not handled by anyone. They go home at 5pm on Fridays and have no one to get in touch during your emergency. We have two contracts with Choice for our two properties. The property my son lives had a plumbing emergency, he contacted them in their working ours because they had water everywhere in the bathroom and they said there was no one available to go, that my son had to look for a plumber himself and had the plumber call them with the estimate. The plumber went and called them, they never answered, it was a Friday, the claim was outstanding with no results on their website, we had to resolve the situation, paid the plumber $1,010.00. Choice on Monday called indicating they never received an estimate and was not going to pay what we paid the plumber. They ever asked what the problem was being informed verbally what was happening in a household with two minors. They said we needed to open an appeal. Horrible long process, they ended paying $500.00 of a procedure they messed up from the beginning. Other experience is a recent claim of our other property, the other contract with Choice, our refrigerator was making water from down to the floor. We opened the claim, they sent an appointment and the technician never showed up. The status on the claim was they were waiting for the technician report and that we needed to get in touch with the technician to let him know that. No phone number neither email given for us to do what they were supposed to do. They didn't even gave follow up to be informed the technician never arrived to our home. We were desperate with the water coming out to our kitchen floor, afraid to fall, we looked for the contact information and got to chat with Sears Home Services, gave them the order number and emphasized in the urgency, it was Friday, they sent a reschedule for Monday, all this done by ourselves. The technician came, we paid the deductable, he said he needed to shut off the water valve to the refrigerator water and ice making system and that our refrigerator needed to be changed, that Choice needed to give us money to buy a new one or send us to a place to get a new one paid by them. Is all rusted in the back and if he was to change the water pump, we were going to keep on having water coming out all the time. That was yesterday, we haven't have an update from Choice yet, we have no water or ice working in our refrigerator.

When I call they just keep me updated on the technician that is handling my case. I used it to have my faucet repaired and I got a response the same day and the technician came out and did the job and everything was fine. They are the least expensive compared to the other companies.

CHW sent highly skilled HVAC technicians in response to my claim for a non working A/C. The deductible is reasonable and the claims process is quick and easy. I would definitely recommend them to others based on my experience.

I have had a few denials in the past that I thought should have been covered but were not. The reason I was given was because it's user responsibility. I've noticed that coverage terms have changed for both of the non-covered items. My last claim was covered minus my copay. I did have to follow up on the initial request because I had not heard from them within the time limit given.

It was very hard finding a repair person for our dishwasher. We ended up with someone who works many miles away in Montgomery County who only took the job if he had other jobs in our area. There just weren't any other companies available and it took many months to repair the dishwasher. It was also an issue finding a plumber to fix our sink, but not as long. Recently our microwave stopped working and your company gave us $191 to pay for the microwave but WE still have to pay for the delivery and installation fee of $130. We're thankful for the money to pay for a comparable new microwave but your company needs to take into consideration the additional fees that we have to pay. If you are saying you will pay for the replacement, then you should include the money for delivery and installation! We have not purchased the microwave yet. I hope you do read these messages because we should not have to pay the additional amount. Their house is only 3-4 years old. A microwave should last longer than that.

The company that they sent out was excellent, we're very pleased with them. They took a reasonable amount of time and so far I'm pleased with Choice. Our air conditioners weren't working and it was hot and we called and took us three days because it was weekend and they came and fixed it. I would prefer to be able to talk to a person but doing it otherwise has worked fine.

The garage door failed so I called and the person came out and fixed it on the spot and it was the same with the plumbing. We had a stoppage in the kitchen sink they went ahead and did the stoppage, they first make out the line and they replaced all the plumbing underneath the sink and it works perfectly.

They're very efficient and very quick. I've had a lot of experiences with home warranty and they aren't all good. I had people that did not follow up, I've been told that they're going to come out and they don't come out and then they don't answer telephone calls and that sort of thing so that's not very good. I've had other times where they've sent out somebody who has been very professional and very good. My experiences with them vary.

I used my warranty just recently for my refrigerator, my ice maker wasn't working. A technician came out as scheduled and he had to replaced the part, he came on the day and said he would be back to replace it, I've never heard from him again until weeks later. I had to call Choice twice regarding this matter and they were finally able to get a hold of the technician and he will be coming to finish up the job. So I was a little disappointed because the company never responded and never called me back. I also had someone come in to check my sink when it was leaking and that company was absolutely wonderful. They came in, they fixed repairs very, very quickly and I was very happy.

I like the the platform, the portal, like how you could do the claim status, you have a pretty fast response rate. I was having issues with with an AC unit at my rental property and I think I put it in like a night before and within the next day a technician was there, so that was that was nice that they got there pretty quickly.

I've been with them for over 15, 16 years or so. I've left Choice a couple times before and tried other warranty companies and I went back to Choice because they just couldn't compete. Just recently one of my air conditioners went off. I had to use the warranty to replace the compressor and some other things, but the contract didn't pay for the compressor being removed or replaced, but it did cover a lot of other things. So basically it cost me $2000, but I would have spent $5000 without Choice. Yeah, I'm OK with that.

I had to have something done with my refrigerator. It was not working right, and they said it would be $75 for someone to come out. And that's gone up I believe from when I started. They sent their young men out. He opened the refrigerator door and he looked at the mechanism in the back and he said that needs to be replaced. I paid him the $75 in cash and he left. Now when they finally contacted me from Choice warranty office, it took 30 days for me to get a response from them that they were going to replace it. They only covered 400 and something dollars, I can't even buy a refrigerator with that, but they said that is the ammount because of the age of refrigerator. There's maybe a miscommunication with replacement when it's broken totally to how it's covered. Disappointed

I have had 2 minor requests. One was for the garbage disposal. It was replaced with a low end, very loud disposal. I was not consulted about the potential of an upgrade. The product was a brand that to my knowledge is no longer being manufactured. The second instance was adding Freon to my AC. That was a good experience and was completed quickly. I assume it was not considered urgent since it was 3 days after my call that the service was completed.
