If I could leave a 0 I would. First bad experience someone came who said he was from the company and he wasn’t. Scammed us out of 89$. Second time we waited over a month for a new water heater. Again we’ve had cold water for a month and the contractor who was assigned didn’t come to do the job and left us still without hot water. Extremely poor communication with this company. Save yourself money and go with someone else. You’ll appreciate it in the end

PLEASE LISTEN up, I spent 3 years paying these people. Then I put my first claim in and they deny it. BUT they saved me in the end, as the cost for the claim exposed who they really are and how they operate. They are too dumb to realize they would have made more money off of me staying a customer and paying them then the claim was for. These things are SCAMS and these guys are the worst. PLEASE CONSIDER another option and read the small print.

Customers/Buyers Beware!!!! Total scam and a rip off. They have been trying to fix my oven since January 2024. March 2024, contractor submitted a replacement request. 2-10 NEVER notified me. I started calling in April to find out what’s going on with my claim. Kept getting passed around, to no avail. I finally got someone who looked into it and sent the replacement claim for review. After calling daily, a week later on May 8 I was told they denied the replacement on May 3. They NEVER contacted. Claim was denied due to pre-existing condition, which is not in the contract and I bought the house with the home warranty in March 2023. Everything passed inspection. 2-10 made up a ridiculous reason to deny the replacement just so they didn’t have to pay for a new appliance. DO NOT USE 2-10 Home Warranty, they breached the contract and don’t stand by it

Whaley Tucson, AZ

Going on the fifth week of a fridge repair. After initial inspection, approval process and waiting for ordered parts the contractor, XR Services Appliance Repair, stated they were never received. I would now have to wait longer to have the parts reordered and the processing couldn't be expedited. Additionally, the contractor wouldn't respond to texts and their phone system doesn't allow for voice messages. Escalating the service with 2-10 resulted in many 'I'm sorry, that is frustrating' statements, but no true solutions from 2-10. My two (2) main options presented have been cash in lieu of service or finding a different contractor by which the entire process of assignation, diagnosis, ordering parts and finally service would begin anew with no acceleration of the process. On 10/30/23 I asked for a new contractor, one was assigned and I was told I would be contacted soon to establish that initial service. It is currently 1p local time and I am still waiting for that call from Saguaro Appliance Repair. Also on 10/30/23 I was contacted by 2-10 stating that they had finally reached XR Services, they had the part and could come out on 10/31/23 to complete the repair. I left work early to be there for the allotted 2-4p window and the contractor arrived at 3:35. By 4:40 the contractor contacted his office and stated that he didn't have enough fuel to do the soldering necessary for the repair and would need to schedule another day to complete the repair. I spoke with the scheduler and let them know that they would need to come out 11/1/23 between 2:30-3p to complete the repair. XR Services has been unresponsive by phone and text and 2-10 has ZERO solutions to offer aside from calls and emails from Contractor Relations to these vendors. I'll reiterate, I have been without a fridge for five (5) weeks and the money I have paid for the warranty and the service call have not brought me any closer to resolution. Additionally, if you Google XR Services and Saguaro Appliance Repair for Tucson, AZ you cannot reach them as a private party. Interesting choices for preferred contractors.

In my opinion you don’t really get a warranty at all. Through the purchase of my new home I was provided (by the builder, and I paid $800 for) a 1/2/10 year warranty on a $500k home. What did I really think I was to going to get for that price? The answer turned out to be very little and they don’t even want you contacting them to process a warranty claim. That’s a red flag right there. You have to contact your builder, whom you don’t have a contract with to perform warranty services of any sort. So if your builder doesn’t wanna do any (warranty-covered) warranty work, they don’t! When you bring it up with 2-10 HBW, they tell you to go to arbitration (even for clearly covered warranty items in their warranty booklet), at your cost of $750 just to start the process. They just don’t want to get involved, or do anything other than deposit your check for your 'warranty' into their bank. They don't cover appliances either. That's a problem when you find out your one year manufacturer warranty expired 6 months after you closed on your home because your builder bought the appliances 6 months before you closed. I could go on with other ridiculous issues but I’ll stop here. The large builders provide, and stand behind, their own warranties but if the small builder of your new home provides you with 2-10's New Home warranty get ready for potential disappointment.

I purchased two contracts from 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty. The first issue with my double oven made me realize how shady this company is. After the contractor informed me that the part was not available from GE and the oven needed to be replaced. I received email from them with two offers 1- to order pre-owned part from Ebay or cash toward the repair for $189.00. I called them and was on hold on the phone for an hour. I asked the questions Can you please show me where the used part is mentioned in the contract? The answer was that it does not mention a new part in the contract as well. Be aware !!!!!!!!!!!!!! of how they are using their words and contracts.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! A 1-year home warranty from this company was paid for by the seller when I purchased my house, but I never had to use it. I decided to keep the plumbing policy in place after that year, which also for some reason required me to pay for electrical and kitchen appliances. I had an issue with my convection oven, not covered. Then my kitchen faucet, not covered, then a broken pipe in the basement, not covered. Then my ice maker/water dispenser on my fridge...you guessed it, not covered. They did pay $100 towards a company coming out to snake my drain as an emergency in year 1 of this coverage, which was only a fraction of the cost. In year 2 of the policy, they also covered a 5-minute job to change a hot water valve, of which I paid $85. They work in cahoots here in Omaha with a plumber called Accorn, who helps them deny claims they should pay and inflates costs of claims they say they're paying out. After the last time getting denied (for the refrigerator), I canceled the policy they day my payment for the next month came out of my account. Instead of even refunding that month's premium, they sent me a letter saying they aren't refunding my money, which makes no mathematical sense and nobody there can explain it. I will say that although they almost never were able to help me, everybody I've spoken to there is incredibly nice. I feel bad that they have to be on the front line taking the shots for their ripoff employer. This company is an absolute scam and there has to be a more respectable option out there.

If I could these guys a 0, I would! These guys have been absolutely awful! We have been trying for over 2 months now, just to simply have someone come out and take a look at a few things! Someone who did finally answer the phone told us that they tried to contact us. Which is true, they left a voicemail to call them back. We did call them back on the same day of the voicemail and haven’t heard anything. They had the audacity to say that they tried “multiple” times to contact us and we didn’t respond. That is 1000% not true and pathetic…. Just today we called back again around 12:30 and the automated system told us they would call us back when it’s our turn... You can probably guess what happened!? Yep, haven’t heard anything! Don’t waste your time with these guys, they have terrible respect for potential customers.

I wish I could give them negative stars!!!! This is the worse company I have ever had to deal with. We bought a home and we were so excited the seller bought us this warranty case we had issues. We lived in our new home about 3 or 4 days when we realized the hot water was not getting as hot. So we contacted 2-10 and it’s been nothing but a run around crap about it’s pre existing yet it worked when we moved in. We had a plumber inspect it prior to move in and have documentation that it was working. I am on hold for now what is 2 hours and 4 minutes this is the 3rd call of the day to get answers and I go online and they have closed our request without reason or even letting us know. I have a family and we are taking cold showers for over a week now. Absolutely horrible customer service the ladies get rude and hateful saying it’s cause how old the water heater is and that they don’t cover that. I do not recommend this company to anyone!!!!!!

Reviewed July 16, 2023 Do not choose this company. They have terrible customer service. If you need to contact them by phone you will have long wait times. They will do everything they can to get out of helping you. The contractors they assign take at least 30 days to show up…if they show up at all. I currently have 3 open service requests that are at least 6 months old. My AC went out on a weekend (not during 2-10,s business hours). I was lucky enough to get a company out here to replace it (I live in Florida - it is miserably hot down here right now). Of course they are denying the claim because I did not have prior authorization.

Worst home buying decision ever made, they would rather let you keep waiting indefinitely for a service repair on a non-repairable device than replace. Despite being notified by the appliance repair company that the appliance is damaged beyond repair and the rising cost of parts/labor, 2-10 would not listen and would rather let you go without an appliance stating "we are in the appliance repair, and not replacement business". I wish I knew better, I only renewed the service contract because the seller of my house offered a complimentary one year home warranty. I think I'd rather take my chances saving for a rainy day and having the funds to repair or replace my damaged appliance than to expect any level of dismal service from 2-10. The call hold times were at least 45 minutes before an agent gets you you and still they behave like you're bothering them, the home portal is deliberately scant of adequate information that one could use to estimate the details of the claim/repair process. I typically do not write reviews, but I sure had to on this one, a home warranty service company is not a bad idea, but using the 2-10 service is probably a bad decision that I regret making. This is even from an end users point of view, the appliance repair company also notified me that they do not get timely feedback from 2-10 as well, which places them in a precarious situation with the customer since they do not know exactly the state of the claims process. If I had to do it all over again, I'd use a competitor like ASURION; if any one contemplating the decision to use a home buyers warranty service had the patience and fortitude to read this, stay away from 2-10. Enough said.

When I needed something recently it wasn’t covered. You should be clear about what IS & ISN’T covered. Second. I had an apt with a water specialist who was initially responsive, I was finally able to schedule an apt, vendor missed my apt, then closed the ticket. Totally unacceptable. No follow up from 2-10. Overall I am very happy with one vendor who is amazing. My dryer, stove vendor. My I even vendor was terrible.

It has been a nightmare !! It took over two months to get 210 to act on replacing a water heater. I live outside a huge city and your people couldn’t get anyone to respond…which you ended up paying me pennies for getting it replaced myself. I despise your company and am in the process of replacing you. The pain and discomfort of not having hot water for almost two months is inhuman in today’s time….you people should be ashamed because of your lazy response and putting your people out there as fodder, yet you can’t reach management (cowards)…but you still get your monthly payment. NEVER will I recommend your “services”

Our realtor bought this warranty for us so I didnt even get a chance to read the Terms and Conditions of Service Agreement, but a bit of advice to new home buyers: same as with a car or any other big item, pay for an inspector to certify that the appliances or whatever you want covered in the warranty are in good standing condition prior to you gaining ownership and get evidence that you can show the warranty company. After we moved in, we noticed the fridge was cold, but not enough to keep things from spoiling after two or three days. So we called 2-10 to get a tech out. Tech was in an out of the house in 10 min, without taking apart the fridge to check any of the major components. Tech told us its the compressor and that it would take a week for the process of him reaching out to 2-10 and then proceeding from there. After the week, 2-10 calls us and basically tells us that the fridge is not covered because it was not in good condition before purchasing the warranty. After discussing with "Customer Service", unless you have evidence NOTHING in the house is covered. Side note: We had a co-worker/acquaintance who used to be an HVAC tech look at it (and by look at it I mean we facetimed, sheesh) and after a brisk diagnosis look through, told us it was a mechanical issue that is fixable. Keep an eye on the tech 2-10 sends out to make sure they do a thorough job.

I would give this company ZERO stars if I could. Buyer beware! Don’t not purchase. Oven broke and paid the $100 service deductible and was told that they could not get the replacement part. Was offered $200 by 2-10 for the replacement part toward a new oven when the original agreement covered repair or replace up to 3,000. They refuse to replace the oven. You can’t get to a supervisor. Customer service says someone will call back within 4 business hours and it never happens. Don’t waste your money on this company. They don’t go by their own contract. They just keep pushing you off til you give up and go away. They now what me to find my own out of network repairman to find the part, which they can’t find. I am so fed up and this has been going on almost a month. Do yourself a favor and run in the opposite direction.

I've paid for a 2-10 Warranty for the last several years and have had timeliness issues in the past. I always have to call and escalate to get an engagement from them. On the evening of January 26th, I used their online portal to file a claim for a malfunctioning dishwasher. It is covered under my plan - in fact I paid an up-charge for "premium" appliance servicing. The portal processed the claim and told me I'd be hearing from their assigned contractor ("Long Lane Home") withing 24 hours. I did not hear after 1 full day, so tried calling the contractor numerous times. The phone just rang with no answer, no message, no answering service. On the 28th, I tried the contractor several times, as well, and same no answer result. At 6:32 PM, I called 2-10 for resolution. I spoke to Andrea, who informed me that the 24 hours on the website was misleading - it's really 48 hours for them to respond. (Correct your website then!) She tried calling the contractor while I was on hold and came back to tell me she also didn't have any luck with an answer. I asked when would this 48 hours technically be up and she said they had until the end of 1/29 to contact me. (That's really bad math, clearly). I told her that wasn't acceptable and she indicated a supervisor would contract me within 4 hours. Today is January 30th and no supervisor ever called. I tried 2-10 and they are closed on Sundays. I tried the contractor several times over the last several days with no answer. I believe this is part of a strategy that 2-10 employs to slow play the service. As mentioned, we can't really blame this on the pandemic or job shortage or supply chain as: 1.) It happens nearly every time I do need service going back many years and 2.) Calling someone to update or schedule doesn't rely on parts coming in from China. I am super frustrated with them and their lack of responsiveness. You pay for a service hoping you never need it, but when you do - PROVIDE IT!

This warranty company is nonsense. Our dishwasher wasn’t draining so we called for service. The companies they contract with are cut rate and obviously inept. After three visits they still couldn’t fix the problem…. So we were told we could hire an out of network contractor and get reimbursed. The out of network contractor found in 5 minutes what their contractors couldn’t figure out in 3 visits. It was an easy fix. Now we get a call that they are refusing to reimburse us. It’s absolute insanity that we are being penalized for using their contractors which are inept. And if you think I’m being dramatic, the one company’s owner called us up and proceeded to yell, curse at, and threaten my husband and myself after I told 2-10 that they never told us they were coming and then didn’t fix the dishwasher. All the companies they use have 1 star Yelp reviews and it’s not hard to see why.

I've been with 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty since I purchased my home several years ago. Until recently we had only an occasional minor issue. Of course I pay them handsomely every month for this service. However, in August 2021 our convection oven / microwave went caput. 2-10 dispatched a repair technician (that took a couple weeks until they arrived) who diagnosed that 3 parts were needed to repair. On September 9 the service company ordered the parts. I did some prior research and knew that there was an issue with parts for this item. A few days later I received communication stating that the parts were delayed. Knowing that there was an issue getting parts, I asked how long until we could look at other options and they said 21 business days. As of a few days ago (October 7), the service provider determined that parts were unavailable (go figure). They uploaded this news to 2-10 for resolution. 2-10 has not provided any follow up to me and every time I call them (and wait on hold for ever) they state that they are still searching for parts and offer me a small cash out option to replace the unit myself. Keep in mind that we have been without our built-in convection oven/microwave since the middle of August. Based upon my research, their cash out option is about 1/2 of the actual cost to replace. In order for me to get resolution, 2-10 would like me to not only provide a significant amount of cash out of pocket to replace what should be covered in full under my warranty plus continue paying them $75 a month for their service plus pay the service technician fee of $100. I told 2-10 I do not want a cash out option at half the replacement cost. As of one of my recent conversations (October 11), they are still looking into options. Based upon this experience, I'm not quite sure what I am paying for with 2-10 home warranty. The item broke and parts are not available. Should I have to wait 6 months or 9 months for the parts? No one at 2-10 is able to provide me with a timeline on parts or if they are going to replace the appliance as they need 7 additional business days to review (tick tock tick tock - remember that I had to wait 21 business days to get the parts that never arrived). I suppose situations happen but just imagine if you were a 2-10 home warranty customer and in the heat of the summer your refrigerator or air conditioner went caput. Nearly 2 months later and still no resolution. This is definitely not a seamless process. Lots of calls made to the service provider and to 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty. Nearly 2 months of this and still no resolution. Very disappointed. Microwave finally fixed 10-27-21, nearly 2 ½ months later and hours and hours of telephone calls and stress. I decided to add this to my complaint with 2-10 Home Warranty. While I was waiting on resolution on microwave, my central a/c unit broke. The a/c is only 5 years old so even though I found this unusual, I thought fixing a broken part in a newer a/c unit should be easy. Was I wrong. I've spoken and texted my contractor on over 15 occasions and called and spoken with 2-10 Warranty even more and we seem to be spinning our wheels with no resolve or follow through here too. To begin, the temperature has been in the mid-80's and my wife and I and our animals are feeling the heat. As with the microwave situation, I escalated the claim because neither the a/c vendor nor 2-10 Home Warranty seems to know what’s going on. My contractor, Atlantis Heating & Air said she has spoken with 2-10 several times and claims that 2-10 promised to have escalated the claim. The last promise was that the part (s) were to be "overnighted." That was at least 1 week ago. No confirmation on this from 2-10 as every time I call 2-10 to confirm or to get an update, there seems to be no or very little communications documented in their system regarding conversations with my contractor or a status update. The latest conversation with 2-10 had them saying a new contractor had to be called because the other one quit. Every call to 2-10 is like starting over and every 2-10 rep promises action. I've also spoken with the 2-10 Purchasing Department and receive big promises with the same lack of follow through or resolve. When I ask 2-10 Home Warranty to transfer me to a supervisor I always get the answer that they are not available, but they promise a call-back within a couple hours. Of course, this never happens. 2-10 Home Warranty has fallen to bad home warranty company. Unfortunately, they charge higher rates than the others but provide equal or lower service than the much less expensive companies. Do yourself a favor and pay less for the same crappy service with someone else. Still no a/c repair and we are approaching 1 month since I called 2-10 home warranty. God forbid you have these issues with 2-10 home warranty in the heat of the summer.

On 08/28/2021 I filed a claim for a covered HVAC ECM blower motor replacement. I have filed claims in the past for pluming/HVAC repair and the contractor that was sent out was extremely rude and intimidating to my wife. He did not know what he was doing in regards to the HVAC system and wanted me to pay him out of pocket for what he diagnosed as a non-covered repair. When I received a second opinion at my expense, it was discovered that the repair should have been covered. On this claim I refused to allow the same contractor in my home. 2-10 informed me that they do not have any other contractors in my area so I have to use an out of network contractor. They authorized me to do so with a starting amount of $400. The actual cost of the repair was $1505.95. I have made several attempts to get 2-10 to authorize the full amount of the repair. They are only offering $605.00 minus $75.00 service fee for a total of $530.00. Not once have they asked for the part number to verify the actual cost of this part but yet they are stating a price that they would have paid. Furthermore, every time I have called they have informed me that my claim has been escalated and someone will be contacting me back soon. I have never had a return call.

There is nothing good to say about this company. I would give it 0 stars if possible. On June 30th I called to have my washer repaired. During the next 3 weeks the company dispatched 3 different contractors that never called or contacted me. The fourth contractor came out and told me that the washer needed 4 parts and it would be more expensive to fix it than to buy another. For the next 4 weeks I have been getting the run around from HBW 2-10 warranty. First they said that they were waiting on the repair contractor to file their report (this was a lie). Then they said they didn't have the parts list from the contractor (also a lie). Now they are telling the contractor to tell me that they are researching how to obtain cheaper parts and they will contact us in 2 days. WHY would you ever use a go between to communicate with your customer? I read another review that said there is no customer support or any way to get help if a repair "goes sideways". That is certainly true here. I've asked MULTIPLE times to speak to a supervisor (someone who doesn't just apologize but can actually do something to resolve my issue) and was called once and missed the call. That was 2 weeks ago and now HBW 2-10 is telling the contractor to tell me they are looking for parts? Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this company. They never have to actually satisfy the customer because the customer is the real estate agent or the home seller who buys the product. My next step is to contact the attorney General of Maryland and/or a news station that investigates fraud and incompetency.

I will never get a warranty through these people every again. I have been a month trying to get my reimbursement. I called and the person told me I was authorized for $200 and since roto rooter was out of service area I would have to get reimbursed. I called and they said I had to upload it through the portal. The portal didn't work and it had the prior homeowners name on it. Called back they said they fixed it, they didn't. Called back and they said it was fixed on their side, but not mine and they would fix that. Long story short it never got fixed. I have called 7 time and each time it is 1.5 hr wait. This time I finally got someone that would help and she said it hadn't been authorized. Funny considering I was told it was authorized when I called it in to begin with. After giving the lady all the info and being on the phone for more than 2 hours this time, they decided they would not authorize it now. We are officially out $400 for something we were under the impression we would get $200 back on. I'd like my almost 14hrs back of my life I have spent on this bullcrap.

This company is a complete scam. I am stuck with this company for the time being because it was included in the purchase of my home. My AC was not keeping up with the heat at the beginning of May and they sent an HVAC contractor to look at it. He showed up on a morning where the temperature had dropped drastically so the air was cold outside. The HVAC contractor simply checked the freon and said it was putting out cold air so it was good. I pointed out that the air outside was cold so obviously the air inside would be cold coming from the vents. He shrugged it off and charged me the service fee before leaving without fixing anything. About two weeks later, the AC died completely. I submitted a new work order and they sent M+Holmes to diagnose the problem 3 days later. M+Holmes came out and diagnosed the problem immediately. However, M+Holmes did not send the diagnosis to 2-10 until 4 days later. The only reason they sent the diagnosis at all is because I called 2-10 to see what was holding the process up and 2-10 said they didn’t have it. 2-10 then failed to make contact with M+Holmes. I had to call M+Holmes to get the diagnosis sent. After this, it took 11 days for the parts needed to be shipped in to M+Holmes. M+Holmes was supposed to contact me to set up an appointment for repairs. They never set up the appointment, even when I called to speak with them. They did answer and tell me they had the part. They also told me this fix would have taken less than 24 hours had I called and not gone through the home warranty company. Throughout this process, I have tried to reach out to 2-10 for help and been dismissed. The wait times have been over an hour to speak to anyone and when I do get through they act like I am inconveniencing them. They were paid to complete a service and they have not provided it. They will point the finger at their contractor, who does appear to be dropping the ball, but that reflects on them as well. This home warranty is a scam and I feel taken advantage of. There is no reason for an AC repair to take over two weeks like this when temperatures are in the 90s. I filed complaints through their customer service and the Better Business Bureau to no avail. They clearly do not care about their customers at all. I should not be surprised considering the slew of negative reviews online for this company. The issue has still not been resolved and the only options they have given me is to start the process over again by calling a new contractor. I have never had this much disdain for a company. They make Cox or Timewarner seem like the most customer service oriented companies out there.

I seriously think dealing with this company reduced my age by at least 1 year. This company was by far the very worst company I have ever dealt with. So, let me tell you what happened: First off, I did my research to buy my home warranty, and it came down to 2-10 because I had two older HVAC units that may have needed replacement soon. 2-10 claimed that they are the only company that would replace the unit if you buy the additional HVAC coverage. That's exactly what I did. Long story short, the first year I had a few AC issues that needed service. Each time they sent 2-3 contractors because they didn't like the quote from the previous contractor. And when they did, they listed a whole lots of things that wouldn't be covered under the policy. I would say this is BS because I had other home warranties previously and never had these issues with them. Ok fine, let's say that's normal in home warranty business. The most infuriating issue was that in the second year, I had to sell my house (relocation) and therefore needed to cancel the policy. During the sales process, the inspection needed some minor fixes ($200) which were all covered. They prolonged the process so long that we had to close before they pay and therefore I paid out of pocket. They didn't reimburse me for the covered cost. So I asked them to return the money I paid for the whole year. I called them so many times and waited on the customer service line for so many hours. I have submitted their online forms quite a few times too, but no luck! So my last resort is to let others know to stay away from this company! I mean seriously, even for this business, these guys are quite something!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! HOMEOWNERS BEWARE!! My A/C unit is broken so we started a work order a month ago to get it fixed. Still not fixed. They have sent the same part to our contractor, from what we understand, and it's the wrong part that isn't compatible with our unit, which the contractor told 2-10. I've been calling and I get no where. I have a 3 month old and we have no A/C in 90 degree weather. I've tried to get this escalated and haven't been able to. I called again, on hold for an hour, got hung up on. Called back and said there's a dispute between contractor and 2-10 because 2-10 isn't paying their contractor. They gave a new part to the contractor and it turns out, it's the exact same part that won't work. We called the warehouse they receive it from and they even confirmed it wouldn't work. My husband called them, and got hung up on as well. They claimed they called back and it went to voicemail, but they didn't. Even if they did call back, why wouldn't they leave a voicemail? This company doesn't care about their customers at all.

We inherited a home warranty with the home we bought in July of 2020. We are moving for my job to another state and we needed to have the HVAC serviced and there were items replaced. The bill came to $632.39 and we submitted the receipts as requested by 2-10. They responded by saying the check would be expedited and that it might take fourteen business days. That date has come and gone and still no check. I believe in doing what you say you are going to do. This company hasn't held up their end of the bargain, they were paid. Now that it's their turn to pay they are MIA, I wouldn't recommend 2-10 Home Warranty to anyone because they don't do what they say they will do. If you read the 1148 complaints about this company you may want to look elsewhere. Eric Gregg Longview WA

We have had this company for the past 3 years and have had 2 claims. Our first claim was for a dish washer that the motor burnt up and that claim went well. Second and most recent, our 2 year old microwave quit working, the only option given to us was to have a service company come to our home and repair it. They came within a week to diagnose, then they ordered parts which took an additional 2 weeks. Here is where our issue is, guy arrives alone to fix the microwave, it is a large built in microwave, while he was taking it down by himself he broke the bracket and bent the screws that hold it in place. He says, “I am sorry that I broke the bracket and I will get another one ordered and finish reinstalling the microwave as soon as the parts arrive., the microwave is now working though” I had no problem with this and he leaves this huge microwave on my cabinet. 2 weeks go by and we don’t hear anything so we reach out to find out the status of the repair of the microwave that was broken by the service guy and we are told that the microwave is working and they don’t Warrenty frames, they only Warrenty mechanical parts. What?!? The frame is broken due to you deciding to repair the broken one and now what? Now we we have to file an insurance claim with the service company. I spoke to the service company and they are saying they are not responsible because the “frame was faulty”. So needless to say we will definitely explore other options once our renewal is up. Consumer beware if you let a service company contracted by 210 into your home and they break something it isn’t their fault and you are on your own. I now understand why the rating of this company is a 2.9. Hard lesson learned, now I am out $75 service call and the $ to purchase and install another microwave. Wow. Just wow is all I can say.

I’m an extremely disappointed customer. After 2-10 sent one bad contractor after the other I am left with more damages than before and they have taken no reponsabilty for their negligence. I had an issue with my air conditioning unit (January 2020), which turned out to be a simple blown fuse (simple fix, but took us a year to figure out due to the poor contractors you sent). When I contacted 2-10, they promptly sent out a contractor of their choice. Here is where the damages started. The first contractor they sent did not correctly diagnose the issue, and had me buy a whole new HVAC unit. He also physically assaulted me by grabbing me from my waist when he was behind me. I reported him and they sent out a different contractor. This contractor installed the new unit. He left the instructional paper in the AC unit which resulted in burned paper coming out of every vent in the house. He also did not connect the unit to the two available transformer, but only to one. This caused the fuse to blow again. The paper left in the unit caused a blockage in the drain which caused overflow in the drain pan and leakage. they sent another contractor who did not diagnose the issue correctly. He said the emergency hose carrying the water outside was not properly installed. He removed it and installed a 3 story high plastic pipe that fell to the ground two days after due to poor installation. The drainage continued to occur and damaged the gas meter situated right under the HVAC emergency drain. I reported this issue but 2-10 was unable to contact this contractor to have him repair the damage. they also told me that I had to take it up with their insurance but only provided me with the information to their insurance 6months after I reported the issue. This resulted in the contractor’s insurance not covering the damage due to too much time passed. Literally EVERY single contractor 2-10 sent caused more damages than before. they took absolutely no responsibility for sending unprofessional contractors or for the damage they have caused to my property. I was left with several bills to pay that could have been avoided if any of the contractors they chose were qualified. this is unbelievably wrong. they provided no assistance when their contractors caused so much damage.

They were on the ball to get someone out to diagnose the problem with our range. Waited over a month to be told part for range is no longer available. Another month to be told range is no longer available. Selected a different range which was suppose to be installed within 3 weeks. Received a call range was in and would be installed the following day, yesterday, between 1-5 pm. They never showed up or bothered to call. I called them at 5:30 now being told the range is on back order. They keep making a cash offer. ?????

2-10 Home Warranty is not vetting their contractors. They sent a contractor out who diagnosed the issue with my washer incorrectly. I received a call from the contractor at 10:30 pm the night before indicating that he did not have the correct tool to assemble my washer. He already came to my house on 3 occasions. I contacted 2-10 and they sent someone else out. The new contractor fixed my washer in less than 10 mins. However, the incompetent contractor failed to put clamps back on my hoses which resulted in water leaking and damaging ceiling. 2-10 is not taking any responsibility for the damages. Mind you, the contractor diagnosed my washer with the belt being broken and then told me I needed a new transmission and belt. Neither diagnosis was correct. 2nd Contractor stated that my washing machine doesn’t even have a belt. 2-10 Home Warranty is not vetting their contractors. Buyer beware.

My experience with 2-10 was pretty on-par with others here. Waited weeks for a response for a water heater issue that I was having in December, and I eventually cancelled the request and had a private contractor resolve it. Calling customer support for an update was an exercise in patience as it was at least a 30 minute wait time with each call. When a technician was finally dispatched weeks later, he completely misdiagnosed the issue (according to the HVAC tech I hired,) which likely would have led to another dispatch and $100 service fee, and likely more after that. (Which is part of the overall 2-10 grift, I imagine.) The case then sat "awaiting diagnosis" for another week, until I called customer support again (45 minute wait this time,) where it was suddenly updated, and I was told that someone would reach out to me shortly to schedule the actual repair. Another week and a half passed, and I finally gave up and took care of it myself. (Because, you know, having heat in the winter is kind of a necessity.) Like many home warranty companies, it's a scam due to the mechanics behind it. Affiliated service contractors really have no incentive to move on these requests as they don't make any profit off of it, and it just serves to keep their scheduled filled. (Literally any other job they have scheduled pays more than what they see from these companies.) I've also learned to be wary of the caliber of technicians these plans come bundled with. I have a hybrid water/heat system in my condo; a little less common, but a standard setup that a qualified/experienced HVAC tech should be able to ID and work on. The service technician 2-10 dispatched was visibly confused and started asking me all these questions regarding specifics of the system. ("Hey man, that's why you're here; if I knew what all this was, I wouldn't be calling you," was my eventual response.) He then just kind of picked a valve he thought was the issue, (it wasn't,) charged my credit card $100 and I never heard from him again. My advice to anyone considering this company or a similar firm is to just avoid it outright. Like any insurance company, they're really good at not paying out when you need it, happily billing your credit card every month regardless of the fact that they bring absolutely nothing of value to the table. I would recommend finding a technician or service firm that you trust and that has a proven track record, and sticking with them. I've since cancelled my plan with 2-10 as I can think of dozens of things I would rather waste $70 a month on.

This company is horrible! Our dishwasher is still not fixed after 4 months even though they have replaced almost every part on it and they refuse to replace the actual dishwasher saying that maybe if another part is replaced it will work. You can wait hours on the phone only to be told they can't help you and then transfer you to someone who doesn't answer the phone! Our security system has not been repaired either because they do not have anyone to fix it. They said we need to find our own repair company for them. Customer service is terrible and they skirt around the real issues. Don't waste your time or money on this company!!!

Customer service is not real, they are just there to keep you on hold and transfer you. They do nothing else. My garage door spring broken, I contacted 2-10 and a contractor was sent and he said he had to order the spring, would be about 2 weeks. It's now 7 weeks later and I cannot open my garage door and cannot get any help from 2-10. Apparently the spring is hard to get, is on back order, is too old to find and they will not give me any time frame at all. I just wanted to know how long will this be allowed to continue? 6 months? a year? The only answer I got was "maybe". And if I am not satisfied with that, they will refund my $100 service fee and give me the money for the spring. If they can't find the spring, how can I? It still does not repair my garage door. If a part cannot be found, then the entire thing should be replaced, that's why we pay this company. I cannot open my garage door at all, can't get anything in or out. But according to their customer service, they basically don't care.

Pearl Li ,

The management of this company is completely unethical!! They will clearly deny your claim when it is covered under the agreement. I had a pipe leak on Sat. that was an emergency. Since I couldn't reach their customer service on a Saturday night, and their assigned contractor does not work on weekends, I had to call another contractor due to the fact that within 4-5 hours my drywall expanded rapidly with leaks and my electrical system had to be shut down as well. Regardless of whether I filed for this claim or not, they denied my full claim and only reimbursed me for $100 for this, when the total cost is$400+. They claim that I did not follow the process, when their process is designed to NOT work when their in network contractor does not work on weekends and their customer service also will not take calls on Saturday night. I ended up holding the bag every time. The only reason I am with this warranty is because this warranty was assigned to us by the seller!! Every step has been so painful in dealing with this unethical company that designs process for customers to fail and finds a reason to punish you for not following their impossible process for coverage. Also, when they do take calls, it usually will put you on hold for an hour before you can reach anyone's live. They want to maximize ways to deter people to ever be in touch with them. Even the customer service person was sympathic towards my situation , yet that is the management's direct orders. It shows that this company is rotten from the top! Please stay away!! It is horrible. I can not believe they are allowed to even stay in business!!!

James Couch ,

If you want a bare bones warranty at a premium price, this is the company for you. There is a $100 deductible in addition to the annual fee. We called them on our HVAC system twice and I had no complaints. However, when we had to have a hot water heater replaced it was a totally different story. First of all, they wanted to charge us $465 for a water shut off valve, drip pan, gas shut off valve and a pressure relief line. This was out of our pocket. Then they wanted us to foot the bill for moving a refrigeration line to get access to remove the old hot water heater. I'm not even sure what that would cost because at this point it was much cheaper to just replace the hot water heater myself than to get them to do it. And this in spite of having the supreme coverage option!!! I'm very disappointed in 2-10 home warranty.
