I have submitted structural claim with 2-10 Home buyers warranty team . It has been more than 3 months but yet to get the update that whether they will be able to fix the issue or not. I have been chasing them by sending mails every week. But getting same response that their engineering team is taking longer time to complete the calculations. This is really frustrating for keeping the claim for more than 3 months without any proper answers to consumer.

2-10 sent 3 refrigerator technician to my house diagnosed my refrigerator and both contractors didn’t repair and now iM on number 4. And still no appointment for repair however asking for freon funds. Unacceptable and i informed customer service we medication that needs to be the refrigerator. All customer service can say I’m sorry and by the Technician visit the house on Tuesday and a response from customer service on Friday..Can call for freon funds payment but NO repair date.

BUYER BEWARE - read the fine print. 2-10 has been the most difficult home warranty company to work with. You will sit on hold waiting for a representative for over 30 minutes. What you think they cover and what they do are two different things. The difference in what they will pay for labor and what someone will do it for is usually 5X less. What the repair company quotes for parts and what 2-10 will pay is massively different as well. The buyout offers always carry a nuance that favors 2-10. NOT Customer Oriented. Go with a different company.

The coverage is non existent. Claims service takes days to respond to incidents and then has the user go to a 3rd party that doesn't qualify for the full amount of services. Example was the hvac top tier support. Billed 2k in services 210 only paid 275.00 a percentage of services. Read what is covered vs what they actually will pay out. Terrible coverage. Fidelity home warranty is a much better service for claims.

AWFUL. I have had this home warranty almost 8 years and not had to use it much or would have switched before now. Our only ac unit has been out since Friday over 144 hours since I placed the claim. My daughter, dog, and I haven't been able to stay at our house in 6 nights. They claim that it is "an emergency", yet they have been looking for parts since Friday... the only update. I have been told that it is 3 different business days at this point and they cannot provide me anything else. The employees don't seem to want to help besides reading me what I can already tell them since I have been hearing the same thing since Friday, transferring me, and one wanting me to call to see where the parts are and said he was giving me the number. NOT my job, NOT offering to help with anything. I am not sure why I pay to have this for no help and I will be waiting another whole week for this "emergency" when it has gotten over 100 degrees. Our house was 90 degrees. Paid over 7 years for almost nothing and awful service(I maybe have made 3 calls till this)

I guess I was sold a donkey. I though to have insurance is a peace of mind. Not the case. Whenever I called to speak about my claim. No work could be done until it was approved. Calling and waiting 27 minutes to the worlds worst elevator music is time lost. This happened three times where I was not allowed to do any work until approved and each time I was told that you would send someone out. Each time I would wait 24 hours and get a call that there is no one in my area and to contact my own contractor, plumber and furnace/ac repair. Each time costing me more money. If you're only going to pay a small amount toward repairs. Just let us upload and be done, and cut the check. This has been the worst experience and time lost to be off work to have people come over and not do the work until approved. Needless to say I am canceling.

Absolutely horrible horrible horrible experience with 2-10. Words cannot describe. The contractor they used was incompetent and installed our water heater incorrectly so it was working incorrectly after just a few months (and permanently damaged) Then 2-10 refused to take any accountability or pay for the damages caused due to their and/or their contractor's error. My "escalated" claim is still not resolved even a whole week later. And I have been calling every day. The customer service agent assigned to my case even complained to me about how much phone tag she had to play.... when that is her job. Absolutely horrendous nightmare! And still not resolved!!

Just cancelled them today 12 July!!! Absolutely useless company!! AC (compressor) died on a Saturday and got an emergency visit on Sunday morning which was great. But the good part ends there, the first tech wanted me to do his legwork and pay ahead for the warranty items which is a flat NO! The next 4 technicians would not deal with a manufacture warranty, the last wouldn't deal with a Trane system. It had already been 14 days without AC. So I had to go out of network which cost me 3600 dollars they would only comp me 360. Their excuse was we could have found a technician that didn't mind dealing with a manufacture warranty. Mind you I'm here in Northern Va and its been 93+ degrees in my house this entire time. Had to buy window units to get by, but you wanted me to wait additional time to you can keep contacting technicians until you find one that works. So told them to keep the 360 and I cancelled them. Would give the entire company negative stars if I could. Date of experience: July 01, 2024

TRUST ME, you do not want to do business with this company. I would give it 0 stars if possible. I had a warranty for a few years and then my refrigerator broke and I made a claim. They only gave me $1400 for a refrigerator valued at $2999. I tried cancelling my warranty for the following year that I paid for in full after this issue and they decided they were not going to give me a refund and cancelled it anyway. It is July 2024 and the warranty was supposed to be good until June 2025. They robbed me blindly twice. There are so many other warranty companies. Please do not sign up with them. You will absolutely regret it. I wish I had done more research. They have horrible reviews.

Negative 1,000 Stars. Been trying to get a broken dishwasher replaced for three months (and counting). 2-10 previously agreed to replace the dishwasher after an all out brawl that required the BBB’s involvement twice. Long story short, 2-10 ordered a dishwasher that was too big. The tech was unable to install the wrong dishwasher and removed the broken one now resulting in a gaping hole in our kitchen. Today the rep stated that “the service agreement indicates that it is the [untrained, non-professional] customer who is responsible for obtaining the measurements, thus the too-large dishwasher was the result of my own negligence”. While on a tediously lengthy hold, I read the service agreement which was void of such statement. I asked for that legality to be produced in writing. It could not be produced. 2-10’s closing argument was that “it must not be written anywhere, it is just company policy”. Therefore, ANY measurements obtained by ANYONE would still not have resulted in a dishwasher that appropriately fit the space. 2-10 further stated that they would only cover the too-large dishwasher and that there was no other option, despite being a home warranty company with an obligation to its customers. This binding legality also could not be produced in writing. To quote the service agreement, 2-10 states that “If we determine replacement is appropriate, we will use reasonable efforts to find a replacement Item or Component (a “Replacement”) that performs the primary function, capacity and efficiency of the Covered Item or Component being replaced.” (Page 6, paragraph 3). Only offering a too-large dishwasher is not a reason effort to replace an appliance. I said this to the representative and she insisted that nothing could be done. A supervisor remained unavailable for the duration of the call. In summation, this a company that does not make “reasonable efforts” for their customers, hence proven by an this and all of my previous complaints.

I have had two claims this year with this warranty company. I "supposedly" have their Supreme Coverage. My first claim was for a garage door opener that quit working entirely, the motor burned out. It cost me $850 for a replacement unit, not including installation. 2-10 paid $150. My second claim was for a dishwasher that also quit working completely, it was not repairable. It cost me $1,300+ for a new unit ands $240 to have it installed. 2-10 again paid a whopping $150. Needless to say I will not be renewing this coverage. And I certainly would NEVER recommend anyone else buying it.

Worst Customer Service EVER!

I have contacted customer service now 4 times. I am unable to log into the customer portal and all they can tell me is that they can enter a ticket to have someone call me back in 48 hrs. Not ONCE had anyone reached out to me to resolve my issue. I had a 2-10 at my previous home and didn't have any problems so when I moved to a new home I figured I would use them again. BIG MISTAKE. I've asked to have my call escalated to a manager and again they had to enter a ticket for a call back. Moving from one address to the new one has caused an issue with the portal. I asked them to delete my profile and I would set up a new one. Again I was told a ticket needed to be opened. After 4 calls and countless hours wasted and never getting a call back is extremely frustrating. I was a customer service manager and took escalated customer calls on the spot. 2-10 obviously doesn't care about customer service once they get your money for the policy. I hope I never have to use it because I think I would have a very difficult time getting a claim opened. This is no way to handle your customer service. Again I sit here waiting for a call back that will probably never come. I guess a more serious approach will be needed to get a resolution. Due to this horrible customer service experience I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Please do not consider this company if you value fair treatment when something breaks down. I purchased a home with older but functioning appliances and HVAC, seeking protection through a 2-10 Supreme warranty for any potential issues in the first year. Trusting my realtor's recommendation, I believed this was a reputable company. After a month of functioning AC, it stopped cooling, prompting me to file a claim. From the start, the experience was abysmal. I filed the claim on 6/4, but it took seven days for a contractor to arrive, leaving us in sweltering conditions with a child and two pets, with indoor temperatures reaching 89 degrees. The first contractor diagnosed general wear and tear, recommending replacement as repair would be more costly. Despite this, 2-10 claimed not to have received the diagnostics and sent another company, which confirmed the initial findings. Yet, my claim was denied, labeled as a pre-existing condition despite both diagnostics indicating otherwise. After two weeks without AC, I filed a dispute with proof from my home inspection showing the AC was satisfactory at purchase. However, 2-10 persisted in their denial, claiming the unit needed replacement before I moved in, contradicting their warranty's purpose. Warranties are meant to protect against unforeseen breakdowns, not perfect systems. We rely on warranties because no one can afford to preemptively replace functioning appliances. My experience revealed that 2-10 will do anything to avoid honoring claims, contradicting their coverage of general wear and tear. Their refusal undermines the very essence of a warranty. I share this to spare others from this nightmare. Do not trust this company to protect you. Seek a reliable alternative. We are still suffering in the heat, hoping to find the funds to repair our AC before July.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Complete mess of a system and absolutely mishandling our AC request. First off $189 service fee for each request is simply highway robbery for the level of service we are receiving. Every time we call, we are on hold for an hour or more. Each representative does not know of our situation and we need to re-explain (EIGHT times and counting) the situation at hand. Our AC unit is broken and has been for THREE weeks at this point. The first vendor they sent over was incredibly inefficient and unresponsive. So much so that they agreed to send a new vendor. And yet they say that they work with “trusted, local contractors”. How trusted can they be if 2-10 can’t even get a hold of the vendor for any updates?! Now 2-10 is saying it may take more time to order a part, which is no longer being made since the unit is from 1992. Even though the vendor has informed them of this, they still insist on going through the motions. This will take another week. Once they FINALLY realize that they won’t be able to find it, will take another week to order the new unit. We are nearly a month since first escalating this issue and at this point looking like another month to resolve. No air conditioning with high 80 degree weather and a baby in the house. Two months for one service request is unacceptable. Their website says “service request is typically completed in an average of 5 days”. Utter BS. Simply said, don’t use them. Not worth the money, time, or headache to deal with this level of incompetency.

My ac stopped cooling, they sent a contractor, Andy N, and I paid the $100 fee. The contractor diagnostic was that half of the evaporator coil was dirty and the other half looked like it was white spray painted-crazy. He also mentioned that the freon was low but he couldn’t give me a full diagnostic or refill the freon until the evaporator coil was clean. Bcs they were charging me $450 to clean the evaporator coil, I had to find someone else for a second opinion and clean the part. So, I found out the“white paint “ was actually ice and there’s an actually freon scape that you can hear as soon as you enter the ac area. This just tells me that they are putting minimum effort to diagnose the problem and barely know what they are doing or they are just charging and taking advantage of their customers. Lack of honesty and effort !!! The second person as soon as he saw the picture I sent him said: that must be ice. Noticed multiple problems, explained them, and found a solution. That’s someone that knows what they’re doing. Very disappointed!

I have been a customer for over 5 years, I have had little to no issues with my home until this year. My water heater is leaking, I put a request order in. Three separate companies came out to give a quote, non of which were insured to work on a condo (2-10 has this info and should only be sending qualified companies.) Once a company who could actually service my unit came out, the quote to repair the unit came in HIGHER than using my local home depot. This included the "$1250" that 2-10 offers for this type of repair. Why have I spent thousands of dollars for 1. poor quality service and 2. to pay more than I would if I just sourced my own repair? I have called 2-10 on 5 separate occasions and requested to speak with a supervisor. Each time I have been told I will receive a call withing 48-72hrs. It has been 3 weeks and I still have no received a call back. Wait times are extremely long and I cannot receive a call back. I will be canceling my service and brining my business elsewhere. This is entirely unacceptable.

This company was recommended by the realtor. SO, assuming they knew what they were talking about we agreed to 2-10. NEVER AGAIN! To summarize shortly, It took 2 times to get a contractor to call back. ANd to set an appt time. WHen you need something fixed it should be right away not weeks later. They were far away from where I live which makes no sense. Yet funny I had calls all day long to renew my policy, the month before renewal time, yet if I called to ask a question it told me there is no one to answer my question at this time. THe repair companies and contractors were sub par and not helpful... it's like they didn't care and they were just there to get some extra money....soooo needless to say we are trying another home warranty company. I'm hoping for a much better experience.

My stove top stopped working and it was easy to file a claim but once it was filed it took 2 days for them to tell me to find my own provider. I did which they came out immediately I submitted diagnosis the same day I called for 3 days and never got a call back and nobody answered the phone. I had to wait 7 days to submit an escalation claim. It has been 2 weeks and I am still waiting for them to decide if they are going to cover the new stove. Now with the memorial holiday weekend it will be 3 weeks before they make a decision. Go somewhere else do not buy your warranty through 2-10. Customer service is awful.

This company is so difficult to work with. It was part of my home purchase agreement so I was stuck with them unfortunately. Had several qualified technicians come out to diagnos my water heater for free. They said I needed it replaced, so I contact my home warranty and put in a claim. The technician didn’t arrive to the appointment, so I called 210 and requested to be transferred to a different company. They told me there is only two people in the area they work with and moved me to the other one. Then the secound guy calls and does not work in the afternoons at all. I can’t be at the house in the morning, not everyone has that luxury so he refused to service me. So I called 210 again and asked now what. So they had no other options for me and basically told me I HAD to find a provider myself. So I found one. WELL right after I finish these 2 hours the original technician finally shows up. Great. I tried to tell him to leave but honestly didn’t seem like he was going to leave so I felt like I HAD TO let him look at the water heater . Finally he looks at it, changes the valve out and he’s like well it’s not leaking. Doesn’t drain the tank, doesn’t check to make sure it’s working properly, and in the mist of this before he leaves says he’s not even qualified tested as a plumber! What the hell. I didn’t pay and told them to contact me for payment tommarrow so I can talk to 2-10 on the phone. Because this is ridiculous. Mind you to talk to anyone sensible on the phone doesn’t get you anything, gets you no where and the constant answer is this just how we do it with no solution at all. This company is the biggest scam ever. I need a new water heater and they are not helping! I put in a request for it leaking a gallon a day! Obviously if you change a valve it’s not going to keep leaking because it was never a static leak!!!

Customers/Buyers Beware!!!! Total scam and a rip off. They have been trying to fix my oven since January 2024. March 2024, contractor submitted a replacement request. 2-10 NEVER notified me. I started calling in April to find out what’s going on with my claim. Kept getting passed around, to no avail. I finally got someone who looked into it and sent the replacement claim for review. After calling daily, a week later on May 8 I was told they denied the replacement on May 3. They NEVER contacted. Claim was denied due to pre-existing condition, which is not in the contract and I bought the house with the home warranty in March 2023. Everything passed inspection. 2-10 made up a ridiculous reason to deny the replacement just so they didn’t have to pay for a new appliance. DO NOT USE 2-10 Home Warranty, they breached the contract and don’t stand by it

I have the highest coverage with 2-10, including added on coverage for pipe leak, roof leak, and septic system coverage. I was reluctant to renew my coverage a second year as I'd had issue getting help on weekends, but the sales associate assured me I could choose my own contractor in emergency situations like weekends and evenings. This couldn't be further from the truth. On a Sunday, my plumbing backed up and septic flooded into the bathrooms and bedrooms. I immediately contacted their "24-hours a day / 7 days a week line" after filing an online claim. I received an automated message indicating no one was available and to call back the following day. At that point, following the instructions on their website as this being classified as an emergency, contacted a plumber who diagnosed a main pipe break from the house to the septic, which is indicated as covered under my optional add-on "Septic System" "Coverage: line from Serviceable Area to septic tank." I have just spent an hour trying to reach customer service to get this reasonable claim reimbursed, only to speak to two people in claims who denied covering this for two reasons: - I didn't get it pre-authorized - again, this happened on a weekend, when no one was available from their "24/7 7 days a week line." - The pipe failing wasn't normal wear and tear - which is a diagnosis from a claims agent on a phone call. I'm not sure how she diagnosed this as normal wear and tear, when my plumber and I weren't sure what happened with the pipe. In the end, they offered $50 as a courtesy toward the services for an $800 service call. I pay over $1300 a year for coverage. I should have saved the $1300 so I could pay for my own repairs.

My first experience with 2-10 has been sub-par. The claims didn’t have a radio button for the issues we were experiencing so I selected the closest. They sent a technician who was prompt and communicative but not able to do the work. I was informed a new service provider was selected who never called or confirmed. When I called, the rep was instantly defensive, rude and short, cutting me off and hanging up on me to prevent me from filling out the survey. They rescheduled with another service provider who wasn’t communicative about constant changes to the schedule. When I asked for another service provider, I was denied one because the service provider had “rescheduled servicefor today” for two days in a row resulting in more delays. When I asked for a supervisor, I was told 24-48 hours. I was told I could pay out of pocket and seek reimbursement which leads me to question why I’m already paying out of pocket for this warranty. In total it has been 12 days since we had gas and 2-10s poor service has neither remedied the situation or provided an acceptable alternative. This is not the kind of service I spend my hard earned money on.

Very disappointed with 2-10, after numerous years and the price going up year after year and barely using it for anything my hot water heater went. I am immune compromised and have Raynaud's so cold is the worst. Being told to wait 2-3 days for a plumber was not sufficient. We got someone over within 2 hours but of course out of network. So we have to pay. Useless and they don't care if it is a health reason or not. No customer service. Beware!

Going on the fifth week of a fridge repair. After initial inspection, approval process and waiting for ordered parts the contractor, XR Services Appliance Repair, stated they were never received. I would now have to wait longer to have the parts reordered and the processing couldn't be expedited. Additionally, the contractor wouldn't respond to texts and their phone system doesn't allow for voice messages. Escalating the service with 2-10 resulted in many 'I'm sorry, that is frustrating' statements, but no true solutions from 2-10. My two (2) main options presented have been cash in lieu of service or finding a different contractor by which the entire process of assignation, diagnosis, ordering parts and finally service would begin anew with no acceleration of the process. On 10/30/23 I asked for a new contractor, one was assigned and I was told I would be contacted soon to establish that initial service. It is currently 1p local time and I am still waiting for that call from Saguaro Appliance Repair. Also on 10/30/23 I was contacted by 2-10 stating that they had finally reached XR Services, they had the part and could come out on 10/31/23 to complete the repair. I left work early to be there for the allotted 2-4p window and the contractor arrived at 3:35. By 4:40 the contractor contacted his office and stated that he didn't have enough fuel to do the soldering necessary for the repair and would need to schedule another day to complete the repair. I spoke with the scheduler and let them know that they would need to come out 11/1/23 between 2:30-3p to complete the repair. XR Services has been unresponsive by phone and text and 2-10 has ZERO solutions to offer aside from calls and emails from Contractor Relations to these vendors. I'll reiterate, I have been without a fridge for five (5) weeks and the money I have paid for the warranty and the service call have not brought me any closer to resolution. Additionally, if you Google XR Services and Saguaro Appliance Repair for Tucson, AZ you cannot reach them as a private party. Interesting choices for preferred contractors.
