I recently had to contact 2-10 when something needed repair. The process of finding a contractor was a bit hit or miss. Some were great, while others were not so confident. It seems like the screening process for contractors could be improved. I had a bad experience with one contractor and was disappointed to be referred to the same company again. Overall, the service depends on the contractor, so improvements in the screening process are necessary to ensure consistent quality.

I recently had a frustrating experience trying to get my doorbell fixed. The technician who came out only charged it and didn't actually fix the issue. It was the A/C unit. It was blowing cold air, and it just kept going and going and going. And they came and they fixed it. And then prior to that, the garage door. I love 2-10. I refer them to everybody. They're nice, and it's easy to use. I'm kind of old school, I'd rather talk to somebody than just do it online. But if it's not major-major, I'll do it online. But if it's major-major, then I'll just call and talk to someone directly. And everyone's super nice, I've had real turnaround time. The contractors are quick. I've never really had to have someone come out more than once or twice, they get it done the first time.

I didn't have any issues. I spoke to a representative at the beginning of this month or the end of last month concerning the issue that I had and concerns as to how the company was going to actually help me out. And the young lady that I spoke to, I think her name was Amina, was very nice. She was very educated about the different policies and programs that y'all had with 2-10 Warranty. And so with her customer service alone, it made me feel comfortable with asking the questions that I need to be asked concerning my home. She provided great feedback and she knew exactly what she was talking about when it came to the actual warranties for our home.

2-10 is the best. I’m very thankful that the seller of our home purchased this warranty service for us. We had a series of unfortunate circumstances and 2-10 was there for us 100%. They covered 2 furnaces that winter. One furnace quit on us, then a couple weeks later the other furnace went out. They replaced both furnaces. Then our washing machine failed. We took a rebate to get a new one. Then summer came around and the A/C wasn’t working. They sent someone out to recharge the system, later we discovered it needed to be replaced and they covered the replacement. If that weren’t enough, the dishwasher went out and once again we took another rebate to replace the unit. I’m extremely grateful for their service. Everyone that I had contact with, from the people in the office to the contractors doing the work were very quick to respond, keep you informed, professional in every aspect, and worked to resolve the issues with our systems

I've been a member of 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty since 2008 and their service have never disappointed me. Recently, my AC coil needed to be replaced and at no fault of their own we had to switched to a different company due to communication issues. My claim was escalated to a new company that came out to assess my problem, submit to order the part, and scheduled a return appointment right after the part arrived. 2-10 Escalation team kept me informed the entire time and called to make sure the work was complete. I feel really good knowing I have 2-10 as my security blanket for my home.

I have been extremely pleased with 2-10 Home Warranty. They have dons some minor claims like a dishwasher, disposal , but they just replaced heating and AC system in one of my rental homes and there was no backlash from 2-10 on anything. They put in a new furnace and central air system and it only cost me around $1,400 for misc. small things not covered by the warranty. 2-10, In the past they were good. However, this experience was very costly to us, for the same issue. They helped with most cost for the water heater, but not the labor. Most Contractors don’t want to contract with a home warranty. Because they lose money, so we ended up having to look for one ourselves that took almost 2 weeks, and then embed paying $700.00 of out of pocket expenses in addition to a reg monthly fee.

It's pretty convenient. When I first moved into my new home, the dishwasher started malfunctioning, and I had to get a new dishwasher because the dishes just were not cleaning. It took a few times where the guys that come out to service it, but ultimately I wound up getting a replaced dishwasher. You can easily log in online to file a claim. Usually get a response within 24 hours. And the service has always been positive so far. I've referred two of my friends who have purchased warranties as well.

I had to use my warranty not very long ago because my ice maker wasn't working in my refrigerator. And so I went online and they have a portal set up online for homeowners. I logged in, put in all the required information, and as soon as I hit submit, within like 5 minutes, I got a message back and email telling me that my request had been submitted to a contractor.

I needed to use it for my HVAC, and we called somebody to come and fix it. And it took a few days to get out. And then after they finally made it out, even within a 2 weeks time span, the HVAC was still not working, and it was over a hundred degrees outside. And it was very hot inside and it was during the summertime. So it was not a good experience. But they did write off on me to get a private company to come out and fix the problem. And of course, I had to pay the $89 fee and about $300 out of pocket to get it repaired. However, the actual repair would have cost about $1,500. So it just saved me, you know, about $1,300 in the end. I have another one with my oven, but they gave me the option to get it fixed or give me money to actually just purchase a new one. So it was like a heavy discount. They gave me money to actually get a new one.

The most recent time was when I had some problems with my air conditioner. And at first, they came out and did some things which didn't solve the problem. So the same fella came out. They went ahead and found out that I needed, I believe it was a compressor or something like that. It was all he came out and took care of it. And it's been working fine since. The claims process went very smoothly. The company was on top of it, and they kept me in the loop as to what was going on.

It was related to replacing a water heater, you know. They contacted the first plumber. This was just before the end of the year, and the first plumber sent out to look at it, and they wrote up kind of an estimate. But then they said they couldn't do the work until the beginning of the year, which would have been about 2 weeks later. So then I asked them 2-10 to route it to a different one, and they routed it to another one and immediately came over.

One of the people I spoke to could barely speak English and I didn't speak her language. So we weren't able to communicate. And I just got frustrated and had to hang up. But other than that, the people that I have spoken to there generally have been helpful.

I had a broken garbage disposal. They came, they asked beforehand what model it was, and they replaced it immediately. They had the parts readily and available. I would say that they are very convenient. I do very much like their portal which makes it very easy for me to contact them or to submit a claim. They do contact really good contractors, and they're true to their word. We've had them for about 3 years now, and we will continue to pay for them.

I needed a repair done and it took me three phone calls to find out that my call had been dropped or completed or closed out. But Rick, the guy that does the plumbing, is awesome, he's great. That's all I can say. He's awesome, he's great, and I'm thankful that he's on your team. But you guys are doing great. I appreciate your services and I thank you very much. One more thing is, we can write checks to the company, as I prefer that over cash. There was one service guy that said that he wanted cash and not a check and I didn't like that at all.

They're quick, as far as I'm concerned. I had a water issue. And they contacted somebody out of Tucson, they said they were coming, but they didn't show up. I got a hold of them, 'cause that's what I was told to do. They said they don't pay like they're supposed to and it's too far away. So I had to try to find somebody locally myself. So that didn't please me very much because 2-10 couldn't find anybody locally. But I don't think it's 2-10's problem. I think that it's people's work ethic problem, in that they can hardly find people to do the work for them locally.

I'm approaching 70. A phone is a difficult way to reach out to them, but I had a situation where what was thought to be fixed wasn't, and it was a little difficult to get to a phone person, a live person. But other than that, the issue was handled the following day. There was a part that he had to search for and he just called me today and will be at my earliest convenience to replace it.

About 10 years ago, there was one issue that I had to discuss with the management but they resolved it favorably for us. The HVAC person that came out, TJ, came to check my air conditioner and give me some feedback on that. I thought he was really, really good. So much so that I chose him to install my new air conditioner, that's how much I trusted him because I thought he was a good fellow and gave me good information. Navigating online and trying to get somebody on the phone is a little difficult.

When calling in, wait times on hold seem to be getting better. I continue to be very pleased with this Home Warranty company having tried three others, and finally landing on 2-10, on the recommendation of a contractor when I was with a different company. This contractor said they prefer working with 2-10 as they’re easy to work with to get approvals, replacements and repairs done efficiently. I have three contracts and would recommend them to anyone who asks.

We lost our old HVAC system due to age. We went through the process of getting it repaired and ran into significant issues during the process. As the escalation team took over, it turns out that things got worse. That is until Laurie C from the president's office got involved and straightened out any of the misconfusion and we ended up extremely happy with her and her team! She is an ANGEL! We were in the process of deciding to renew our first year and felt that dealing with 2-10, despite any issues we endured, was well worth the time, investment, and commitment to staying with these professionals. We are quite happy!

2-10 Home Buyers is great, but some of the contractors they hire are not so great. They cause 2-10 to have a bad name. One electrical contractor sent someone to fix my problem. He assumed the switch on my electrical box was causing the problem, so he changed it, and the problem seemed to be fixed. I paid him and he left. But as soon as he left, the problem happened again; so the switch was not what was causing the problem. When I called for him to come back, he refused and refused to refund my money. 2-10 had to send another contractor out. He refused to leave until he found out what was causing the problem. He went up into the attic, which the other contractor did not do, and found what was causing the problem and fixed it. I have not had the same problem again.

They're very responsive. I just used it for my dishwasher and they sent a company that when I call the company directly I have to wait for weeks to have them come out. But when I did it through 2-10, they came out within 24 hours. I just had my dishwasher fixed and the guy did a great job initially, but now I'm finding that. when I when I go to push the button (which was the issue that I had them come out for and he got a whole new piece), I have to do it several times. I have to push it and then push the front part of the dishwasher in to close it up. And it doesn't light up properly. So then I have to do it a second time usually before it will do that. And so I'm actually thinking of calling them back about it because I just had them here within the last month. The other stuff that I've had them do has also been very good and very responsive. And they're also quite affordable. And I've never had them say, oh, well, we don't cover that, like you do a lot of times with these kinds of companies - you pay a lot, then you end up hearing that that's not something that they cover.

It's just been a good experience overall. I don't have any complaints at all about it. They say they'll come out and fix it and they come out and fix it. You know that company that they get in touch with the repair services? They come out and fix it within a day or so and then you know it works. That's the main thing. I've never had a home warranty before and it really works. And I think of all the stuff that we could have done in our other home before we moved here that we were paying for ourselves out of pocket, I didn't even know about it. I would say this last repair that we did probably paid for a year's worth of the home warranty. I just couldn't have asked for a better experience and it's been working fine ever since.

They take the time to explain what's covered and what's not covered and it makes me very comfortable and understanding as a new homeowner. But I wish that a policyholder would not be charged double in the event that there is an identical issue in the same category. For example, for a water heater and a slow drain there might have to be two separate plumbers, and I'd be charged a double fee and I don't feel that's fair. I had to use my warranty for an issue with my water heat and I had a slow drain, but fortunately they were able to dispatch the same plumber so that I didn't have to pay a double fee.
