Customer service is not helpful. There is no visible contracts no matter how many times you ask to see or receive a copy of the contract. Cancellation is impossible. Nothing ever improves no matter what customer service tells you.

I unplugged the power supply to move my desk. Did Brinks call me and let me know there was something wrong, NO! No power to the Master Unit and they did not care! When I called to find out why NO ONE notify me, I was told I should have called them first to let them know I was unplugging the power supply! I CANCELLED MY SERVICE!

This company is a scam. I called as a new customer they were supposed to send tech, and never did. I called them and canceled they said you don't owe us anything since you canceled for your 30 days window. It has been 4 months and still sending a bill which I never had service for. Stay away brinks home security.

I moved while having service with Brinks. The sub-contractor and brinks never transferred service to my new home. I paid for service for a whole year that I wasn't receiving. I stopped paying and Brinks reported my non payment to the credit agencies.

They reported a late payment on my credit report and completely messed it up. I do not even have an account with them. I called their customer service team and they are no help. If you care to call me to help me resolve this issue before I go to BBB and report it to your state Attorney General for fraud feel free to contact me via my email.

The system has NEVER worked properly. It went off TWICE for NO REASON and didn't even go off when it should have! Oh, and when it went off, they sent out one lumpy guard half an hour later that would've done NOTHING. Thanks for being completely USELESS, Brinks!

The most rediculas verifacation system that has to be used everytime you wast to do anything with the system. Now they want ton charge for cloud services. If I had not already paid for the system I would not even consider it. Go to walmart and get your security system. To bad I can't give a rating lower than a one star.

The first year things were ok. Every since its a very glitchy system - always having issues. It takes forever to get anyone on the phone to assist you or to have someone come out to your home to fix the problem. Complete waste of time and money.

I was with Protect America, It was a month to month base payment but when they sold it to Brinks Home Security, they locked me in to a contract that I didn't even sign and charging me for as long as they want. I never agreed to a year contract and now I can't get out of it.

Cost is double listed value, at nearly $60 per month. Regular mistakes in billing result in additional fees you will be forced to call to correct, nearly monthly, even with automated billing. Technicians and customer service reps are competent but hamstrung.

If they won’t take care of Service Members you think they will take care of you? I recommend hiring another company to take care of your security needs not this one.

Trying repeatedly to cancel my Brinks account to no avail. Originally with Envision but Brinks bought the account. The service dates back at least 2 years, possibly 3 prior to my husband's passing in 8/2018. At 88 I have the desperate feeling that they will be trying to collect from me after I am dead.

This is absolutely the worst alarm company going Their primary tactic is to put you on hold until you become frustrated and hang up I’m writing this review while I’m on hold with them and have been on and off for 45 minutes. Whenever the rep comes back I’m going to cancel monitoring why have it my system doesn’t work !

I have been trying for a week to talk to a customer service rep to get the forms to cancel the contract and pay the remainder that I owe. I sold my house and no longer need the service. The new homeowner is not interested in Protect America's service. They are not protecting anything for me.

Moved into a house that had a protect American system. They advertise $20-$40 monthly but couldn't offer that low of a price. When I changed a battery on a window alarm the alarm went off and they wouldn't tell me the code to turn it off unless I signed up for service. It was torture and probably bad for our kids hearing.

They are cheap but good luck trying to cancel the service. I cancelled in Nov. Still getting bills. They claim they had no record of it but could tell me when I had "tried" to cancel! Claim to have called but I have no record. They NEVER emailed regarding but are emailing me the cancellation form now. Just delaying to get more $$ out of me!!

Protect America sales team is awesome.! THE SERVICE IS THE WORST. You have to perform a check up every 30days. The siren randomly gets turned off so if you set the alarm off you don’t know until the cops are knocking on your door. The hold time to speak to a rep is RIDICULOUS, even at 7am when they open. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY!

The WORST security system I have ever had! Everything went out and I was left with nothing and the soonest they could come out was 5 days - and they didn't care!! They are very deceptive about their equipment - glass breakage unit on ceiling was bogus! Just don't use them!!!

This has to be less than a 1-star company. Watch out for the tactic of getting you hooked. Watch out for the agreement you are signing up for, especially termination agreement. It is very hard to get to customer service for anything. The worst in the business.

I closed my account over two months ago and they recently reactivated it without my consent. Now they want me to pay $51.99 for service on a home I no longer own. And they will not close my account until I pay my final bill. That is called extortion! Do not use Protect America!

YOU CAN'T GET RID OF THEM! I closed my account 2 years ago and somehow they got into my account and kept billing me. After i caught them changing my bank I called them again to close it and even did it on line they are still sending me invoices! DON'T USE THIS DECEITFUL COMPANY!

Brinks took over my security company. They started to nickle and dime my account with hidden charges that I did not see. "Cost Recovery Fee" = allegedly communications and firewall security charge. $1.99 for a paper billing? I am going to cancel and go elsewhere just to send a message that power billing is NOT acceptable. (Customer since 2012)

We also have the option to do electronic billing in order to have the paper-statement fee waived. In addition if you have automatic billing then you would receive that fee either. My mother in law is moving to a retirement community, when I tried to cancel the service the rep was very rude and kept saying she must payout the contract extension. They had a 90 year old woman sign a contract extension for 4 years and now want payment in full. Over $1,100.00. This is senior abuse at it's worse.

Honestly one of the worst companies. They basically do nothing before and after your contract period, do nothing to keep you until you actually quit, and then they charge you for an extra month of service at the end because it takes the 30 days to close your account for some reason. Never been happier to quit a company.
