Protect America sales team is awesome.! THE SERVICE IS THE WORST. You have to perform a check up every 30days. The siren randomly gets turned off so if you set the alarm off you don’t know until the cops are knocking on your door. The hold time to speak to a rep is RIDICULOUS, even at 7am when they open. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY!

The WORST security system I have ever had! Everything went out and I was left with nothing and the soonest they could come out was 5 days - and they didn't care!! They are very deceptive about their equipment - glass breakage unit on ceiling was bogus! Just don't use them!!!

This has to be less than a 1-star company. Watch out for the tactic of getting you hooked. Watch out for the agreement you are signing up for, especially termination agreement. It is very hard to get to customer service for anything. The worst in the business.

I closed my account over two months ago and they recently reactivated it without my consent. Now they want me to pay $51.99 for service on a home I no longer own. And they will not close my account until I pay my final bill. That is called extortion! Do not use Protect America!

Brinks took over my security company. They started to nickle and dime my account with hidden charges that I did not see. "Cost Recovery Fee" = allegedly communications and firewall security charge. $1.99 for a paper billing? I am going to cancel and go elsewhere just to send a message that power billing is NOT acceptable. (Customer since 2012)

We also have the option to do electronic billing in order to have the paper-statement fee waived. In addition if you have automatic billing then you would receive that fee either. My mother in law is moving to a retirement community, when I tried to cancel the service the rep was very rude and kept saying she must payout the contract extension. They had a 90 year old woman sign a contract extension for 4 years and now want payment in full. Over $1,100.00. This is senior abuse at it's worse.

Honestly one of the worst companies. They basically do nothing before and after your contract period, do nothing to keep you until you actually quit, and then they charge you for an extra month of service at the end because it takes the 30 days to close your account for some reason. Never been happier to quit a company.

Long wait times with customer service, rude people if you ever get someone on the line and I have been trying to cancel for over two month and they keep billing me. The first month having the system the motion sensors kept going off. After reinstalling several new motion sensors we finally got some that worked. Now 3 months later the smoke alarms are now sending out false alarms. The fire department has now come out 4 times for false alarms and say they have had problems with this particular company.

Horrible. Horrible. My contract was up for 2 years. Was just paying monthly. I was going to cancel and switch companies when they told me I had 41 months left on a contract I never signed or agreed to. Needless to say the battle is ongoing. Stay away.

I'm a new customer that had a first date set for set up help before my equiptment was here. Second I call back 3 times and hold for an apparent appointment I had today . The equipment is not what I thought it was going to be . So day one and customer service is horrible and the DIY instructions suck!!!

This is the most crooked place that I have done business with. I have not lived in my house for over a year. I had the system for 2 years previous to moving and I am still having to pay 50.00 a month. When I called today they said that I still have 28 more months to pay.

Easy to sell, imposible to cancel service. I have been trying for months to cancel the service that my mom is not using anylonger and we continue receiving bills. I was told that we were going to receive a refund, but instead we continue to receive bills. I dont recommend this service to anyone.

Absolute worst company ever! Continued to deduct money after they “agreed” to break the contract due my Home flooding. They never received the box... but now have been sent to collections and not notified. I was only a customer for 6 weeks when my home flooded! Customer service reps have zero compassion for life!

I would not recommend this security company . They don't upgrade equipment when they or the ones who say you need it. Equipment gives false alarms and you give them secret word but police still show up costing you money. If you call them you will wait 30 minutes to talk to someone. I don't think anyone should use this security company.

From day one I have had issues with this company. Most recently had an alarm event (front door was pushed open) alarm rang for 4 minutes and I had already turned off the alarm before anyone from the dispatch center called me to see if I needed help. Worthless company!!!

We have tried 6 times over the last 4 months to attempt to cancel our service in conjunction with a move. Understand before you subscribe that it is nearly impossible to cancel the service. They intentionally make it convoluted and fail to follow through on commitments to provide follow up communication or correspondence.

When you’re a new customer they will answer you quick, once you’re an existing customer and are having issues with your system you need to reserve a whole day just to talk to them. I was on hold for over 2+ hrs and decided to hang up no answer what so ever.

These people are crooks, I cancelled service and they still keep trying to bill me to the point where I had to have my credit card company refuse their charges. STAY AWAY FROM THEM! DO NOT USE THEM! We switched alarm companies and they still think we're with them! Called them over and over about it, so now we just ignore them and trash the bill.

Not happy with the company. The alarm system was installed at my mothers house, but in my name, because she was elderly. Unfortunately my mom passed away over 2 years ago and Protect America holds me responsible for the remaining payments even though it has been disconnected when my mom died! Very sad, no compassion, but very greedy!

Renewed service after 3 years. Was told 3 different things on equipment. Did not receive what I agreed on. Was told to pay $5 fee to return item I was supposed to receive. Agent would not waive fee to take care of customer. Frustrated customer who is just looking to get what they agreed on.

Talked extensively about product etc. And then asked sales rep to email me with particulars we had discussed so I could discuss with wife before making a decision. NO email was ever recvd and then the rep phoned back two days later Bad sales

used car sales men type calls, I would have signed up for sure, value was great and equipment as well but the constant sales calls were so annoying it pissed me off and I went elsewhere.

Less than Zero... Terrible experiences with this company...Too numerous to mention here. Customer service is non-existent and rude, uneducated about what they are doing. Equipment is garbage. Tried to cancel my account they will not allow me to.
