Extremely unsatisfied. We moved and cancelled our services, they said we had to ride out our contract until expiration but could do that at a reduced rate. We followed up several times. We just got charged another $50 for a service we haven't used in 6 months. On this call thay told us they automatically renewed the contract. What??? There isn't even service at the address. Unbelievable. Getting ready to fill social media with my experience unless they make this right.

The programming of cameras and sensors is tedious and monotonous . Don't recommend. It takes about one hour to program a camera and if your internet router needs upgrading you need to start all over again . Equipment is not replaced for free, especially cameras and the speed of internet must be really good to power cameras. I would not recommend this company. Make sure you read all fine print because they will totally screw you if you don't notify them in the exact number of days to cancel. go to lowes or home depot

If I could give no stars I would. This company just cares about money and not customer service. Always paid on time and when I had a issue they don’t even try to work with you. Horrible customer service. Called several times and each time had to explain my issue and they say they understand but wouldn’t work with me. Was not trying to get out of my contract and just wanted some time to be able to afford installation and new equipment since I didn’t bring my old one from my previous address. Would never recommend this company.

I have been a customer for 3 years and I have been very disappointed in the service provided. The app does not work intermittently, the alarm randomly goes off in the minute of the night without cause, they fail to call when the alarm goes off and the month cost is higher than most other companies. Happy to be leaving to go to another more affordable company.

I signed up with Brinks 4 years ago with no clue that my contract was for 5 years and $59 a month. I've used the service a couple times years ago. I am an Arizona teacher on a minimum salary and tried to get out of a contract that is absolutely ridiculous. I was told that I could pay it off, no other choices. I told them that they had already taken a couple thousand dollars from me, please let me out of this blind siding contract. I was told no. This company has no heart. Look elsewhere for your security service.

Hi there, we don’t provide any install services because all of our equipment is pre-programmed and fully customized by a security expert in-house and then shipped directly to your door. Installation from that point is simply a matter of affixing the equipment in place and requires no additional tools or expertise. As to the same monthly rate as our competition, we do offer up to $1400 of free equipment up-front and a locked-in rate. we had their service for a long time but when we moved to a new house in May of 2017 with it's own service we couldn't get out the contract by even offering to pay off the balance. they insist on taking the 43.99 a month from our credit card hoping we will forget to call in March of 19 to CANCEL don't deal with this company because they will always try and give you new items which extends your contract. Not happy at all with Brinks. They took over our contract and now are increasing the price we had our contact for. There are so many security systems that DON’t have a contract I would definitely opt for one of them. They also only charge $10.00 a month. Why would anyone sign with Brinks when they don’t honor the contract and raise prices whenever they feel like it. Buyer beware of this company!

Very disappointed. Cheap and outdated system. Dont waste your money with this company. Sensors dont even work half of the time. We have had sensors fall off and set false alarms before. Had to send one sensor back when it was brand new on initial set up cause it didnt even work. Worst part is, we are locked in for 3yrs and cant switch companies.

I purchased Protect America two years ago. After trying to install the equipment for several months I gave up. There was no way to install it without ruining the brand new windows thatI had just spent a huge amount on. I called and requested a cancellation because I was unable to install their equipment. I could not find any way to break the three year contract without buying it out and selling to some other poor dupe. I am still paying on a very foolish mistake. Do not sign a multi year agreement with anyone without a written agreement on satisfaction with the system being used.

I called to have my subscription cancel because i finished paying off the 3 year term and they didn't want to cancel my plan. The customer service person was so rude and basically told me that I wasn't going to get the money that they debted out of my account. Bad company and Bad customer service , my advice is to never use a company that won't allow you to cancel at the end of your term.

Very high pressure to give my credit card to schedule a visit to my home. I was ready to have the install done that day but I was not giving my credit card for a consult. They lost a customer. Also tried to tell me that their system had a lifetime warranty that the locals did not offer but they were hiding the cost in the monthly monitoring.

I had to move and tried cancelling the service. Just like others in these reviews, Brinks demanded full payment for the remaining months and would not accept anything less than that. They threatened to report me to the credit bureau if I did not pay. They really show their true colors when you try to terminate the contract, and you the customer mean nothing to them.

The sales rep was a little too aggressive and after I had indicated that I was still researching companies and pricing options, the rep became curt with me and was quick to want to end the phone call. That was all I needed to experience to make the decision of not giving Protect America my business.

I have been with this company for 4 yrs, our contract is 3 yrs andin short my service with them for the remaining yrs was a month to month. Now i decided to sell my property and i called them to stop my service effective May 31 2017 and i settled all balances that same day. They continued billing me until Aug of 2017 and said that i did notfile a formal cancelation until july and for them to stop the service it takes a month. They also called telling me that i still have a contract. I don’t want to deal with this company anymore and i will never recommend this to my friends.

I was with Moni 8years had issues with false alarms.They gave me 3months to offset false alarm fees and took 10 dollars a month off my bill.I get a bill a month later saying Im late I called and explain the details and they stated that I also agreed too a 60 month contract lol.I havent bern in contract for years and Im moving why would I agree too that.Brinks owns it now tell me they will let me listen too the call saying I agreed to a 60 month contract .What is this a car lol.Stay away they are crooks.Im reporting them to BBB and I will find out whatelse I can do.

Very disappointed. I signed a 3 year contract and am halfway through it and wished I never joined this company. Lots of problems and now the tiny window sensor will no longer stick to the window, constantly falls off and they want me to pay them to replace this tiny piece of plastic, plus shipping and handling. It's just a tiny replacement part or a piece of new velcro. Take heed...don't waste your time dealing with this company...we can't wait to end our contract with them. Buyer beware...avoid this company at all costs.

Contacted Monitronics to cancel my service. They asked what they could to to keep me as a customer. I told them they had to offer a perk from what I was offered by their competitor on Saturday. A Senior Rep got on the phone & his voice escalated as he was getting upset that I wasn't going to continue my service. They said they send out a cancellation to my email, which I haven't seen. I contacted my bank today & asked them how to stop the payment from drafting my account. Very, Very, Disappointed in their Customer Service.

17 years with this company. Today I decided to close my account. After 40 minutes of abuse, they refused to close my account. The abuse got worse as the different managers came on the line. The last guys told me I had ripped my alarm system out of the wall and that he had a recording of me saying that I had. The system totally died on it's own. He continued to tell me I was a liar and would not assist me in closing the account. They had already billed me for 2 months of NO SERVICE and wanted to charge me another 2 more. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!! COMPLETE CONARTISTS

This company makes it impossible to cancel service with them. They send you a form up to a week after you request to cancel. Once the form arrives in e-mail, you have 7 days to complete or the form expires. Once you complete and send in the form, you get a response that requires you to "talk to a specialist that who can create an offer just for you." Then, you have to click on the review document that also expires and your account will be canceled in 30 days. Isn't this against the law?

Deceptive Practices. Bad company. I'm locked into a 60 month contract. Have reported to NE Atty General, a waste of time - it made no difference. I'm convinced theres no other option other than paying $50 per month for a service that I never turn on. I'm two (2) years in, am being robbed every month and there's nothing I can do about it. I'm retired and 66 years old and will finish paying them when I'm almost 70. BEWARE.

I called to inquire about service and get a quote. Once through the process they wanted my social security number. I told them no I wasn't going to have it run. The salesman then told me he could just use the last four of it to check there records on whether I owes them money. Turns out they did a hard pull on my credit anyway after being told they couldn't. Apparently they dont need the whole thing to do that anymore. Be careful with this company... they lie to get what they want.

They are total Scammers. I keep paying them with my bank account information, and they get their money. Then the next month they charge me double in late fees saying that my payment got returned because of a wrong account number, even though it was right when they got paid. They do it every month even though I update it every month and they get their double payment.

Have had hawk security for about 2 months, was recently broken into and nothing happened, I have all the bells and cameras, flood sensor, door bell camera, indoor and outdoor cams. And nothing recorded or happened. Very upset that I’m paying all this money for something that doesn’t even work. Should have gone with a more popular company but now I’m stuck. Do your self a favor and don’t go with this company. Initial set up was easy and cheap but the longer I have had it the more problems that have arrived

Make sure to keep a copy of your original contract, since they lie about and extend your contract agreement when you try to cancel service. Not a trustworthy company at all. They use tactics to keep you from canceling (the lowest in integrity: lie about contract agreements). Beware of this company since they do electronic agreements and might or might not send you a copy of your original contract. They also don’t provide corporation number as they should when requested.

This company is the worst! I had Monitronics for two years, I moved and had the service switched back over to my landlord. Moni sent me a bill for $800! They are essentially double billing, billing both me and the landlord who is back in the house. We've called several times and the issue was supposed to be resolved. Horrible company. AVOID I have tried to cancel my contract that they locked me in for three years. There is no way of canceling, not even by calling or emailing. When I told them that I wanted to cancel, they kept passing me from one department to another. Their answer was that I had to wait until my term is over, and they only accept a written cancelation 30 days before the contract is over. I have never heard such a thing, I am very angry and feel scammed by this stupid company.

I called Moni this morning to cancel service. I told them I was moving from CA to Vancouver, WA. They told me that I had 14 more months on my contract. They insisted that Iwas locked into my contract. I applied for a complaint with the California Attorney General’s Consumer Affairss office. I will continue to spread the word about this crooked company with the Consumer Protection Agency, Better Business Bureau, Yelp, and my local Sheriff’s Department to close these crooks down!

I signed a 2yr contract 3 years ago with the company Moni acquired. We've had all sorts of problems with the equipment, so I chose to install my own equipment. I just tried to cancel this service and they told me I had signed a 5yr agreement and therefore could not cancel it. I was obligated to stay under contract or buy it out. What?? And, when the contract does terminate in 2 years, I have to send them a written letter a month prior. Zero, and I mean ZERO customer service!!!!

Used this company for 5 years.....paying $54 a month. When it was time to cancel it was a hassle. You have to fight the company to cancel, they set all kinds of conditions. One time I was so frustrated, I cried and asked them, "what do I do to get away from your company?" The company harasses you, they will call up to 4 times a day! Finally they cancelled my service but not before they said will you stay for $15.99 a month?????? NO!! They gave me so much grief, I won't stay if it was free. Worst customer service in the world.

This company is garbage, I had them for several years and they missed an alarm in my house and told me it was my responsibility to contact them regularly to make sure they are communicating with my alarm panel. I asked them why they did not notify me when they lost contact with the panel and I was literally told to read my contract. I am just warning you read all the fine print and search for options there are many out there.

It is unfortunate that my mother has fallen sick and along with that has made poor decisions ,we (children) moved her back to MI. from AZ. so we can take care of her.. but MONI dont care they still want my 79 yr. old mother to pay two more years of contract.. while we figure how to pay her medical bills. well at least there CEO/ corporate can still thrive. thank you ,,, I understand a contract is a contract but some sort leeway would have went a long way with me !!

We recieved service from Protect America for NINE YEARS (3 yr contract) & when there equipment failed (after nine years of no contact, correspondence or equipment upgrade) they wanted us to sign another three year contract to upgrade the equipment at a higher monthly rate and pay for the time we had no service. NO THANK YOU - OH YEA I FORGOT THE MOTION SENSORS NEVER DID WORK. I remember the women on the phone (somewhere in Texas) when I tried to set up the equipment.

Online reviews . My wife is grateful for the help with installing the system in my absence. However, when one of the sensorsame fell off the door,it triggered an alarm that summoned 3 police cars. No one was home at the time. She found dealing with the agents by phone quite frustrating and could only get satisfaction from a supervisor. We have cancelled our agreement and returned the system. My wife feels safer with a big loud dog in the house and a gun under her pillow.
