UNBELIEVABLY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! And now i am stuck in a 5 YEAR CONTRACT with a company whose phone system HANGS UP on you after 30 min of holding. Then you have to call AGAIN and get in the que all over again! After doing this for OVER 2 HOURS i had to SET OFF MY OWN ALARM just to get in touch with a human! When i complained and asked for a supervisor i explained the situation was put on hold for another 30 min and HUNG UP ON BY THE SUPERVISOR!!!

Strong armed---not customer friendly. Spent 6 weeks contesting paying an additional 30 days of service when discontinuing...finally received an email from them on Feb 1, 2019 saying I wouldn't have to pay the contested amount and they would cease trying to collect the amount in question. NOW 60 days later they are sending threatening mail again trying to get me to pay. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL DISHONEST COMPANY.......DO NOT USE THEM !!!!!!

1.Brinks has been taking more money out of my account monthly then authorized . When I called I was told they do this when they upgrade there equipment. When ask to talk to supervisor because I signed a contract that states one amount for 60 months and they decide to charge me more I'm disconnected . I'm forced to get attorney . thank God I kept my contract . 2. The service works part of the time and when you call no one can help you . 3. Tried to cancel when they switch from alarm .com to brinks and i was told I had to pay 60 months . but they can steal money from me monthly .

What Customer service? It is the worst ever imagined. When you ask to speak to a manager they give you a bogus excuse as to why you cannot speak to one. In addition, to cancel an alarm you're put on hold and transferred for an extended amount of time, which ends up with an officer being dispatched. I honestly can not wait until my contact is over.

Horrible. Contract issues. They can't tell me how long of a contract I'm in after the switch from MONI. They can't tell me when my contract ends. Sometime they say in 24 months then another rep will say I'm in a 4 yr contract. I've asked them to send me paperwork and they can't. They've changed all my online bills to reflect Brinks and all to reflect that I've lived in the same home address except I've not lived in the same home. The customer service reps do not provide any information. My bills keeps changing. AVOID THIS Company.

Brinks was fine until you want to cancel. They have your payment set up on auto pay and will not send the needed documents to cancel. They say they need 30 days from your signed document to cancel but will never send the document for you to sign. It is absolutely BAD business with days and hours of confirming information to get nowhere!!! I guess that is their way of having LIFETIME CUSTOMERS...

Terrible customer service and technicians just want to get the installation done as quickly as possible. Our system was moved from our vacation home to our permanent home. The rear access panel and stand are missing. The upper right side of the front panel now does not snap together—damaged during the uninstall. Should be an easy fix but I keep getting transferred to another department and finally back to Power Home Technology where we purchased the equipment (before they were acquired by Brinks). All of this for a few little pieces of plastic.

I figured I'd just go with Brink's for my cameras since I was already with Monitronics but that was a BIG mistake! It worked fine for a couple months and now either I don't receive the notice for my doorbell cam at all or I get it an hour after they ring it. I have called numerous times for issues with the same thing on my driveway cam but all they do is reset it and it works for a day or so then back to not working. I even call at night and get recording that the offices are closed when they say they are open. What a mess!!!

I cancelled my no commitment account that was originally with live watch an still 2 months later I am still being charged a monthly fee. The cancellation was process by Tyshona B which was confirmed today by Tayia in their billing department. Tayia stayed the account was cancelled 2 months ago., However for some reason it was still “active “ and there was notshe would do about that. Nice work. I had to cancel my CC to get the billing to stop. Maybe the Feds can do something with these people.

After having the service for 3 years I needed to cancel the service. I have been trying to do that since january 2019 and it is impossible to get rid of them. They are committed to keep you as a client and will do anything not to cancel the service. I am still waiting for the cancellation and has been charged for 2 months after I made the first call, Please look for another company that actually respects the clients.

Worst Alarm company in history. The customer service department is awful, wait times and help is hours. They refuse to send technicians out after a system does not work for over a year. Equipment cheap, went through 3 panels in a year and sensors need batteries every 3 months and they fall off as well creating alarms consistently and police at your house.

Total lack of consistency and information from staff. This demonstrates a lack of training which is reflected in their poor customer service. A product is under warranty, however you will need to spend $85.95 to come out to declare a product defective and another $85.95 to come out and replace it once the new part comes in. Brinks has a scam for “canceling services”. They drag out the process, won’t send DocuSign the first time, say you have to call back to cancel, then keep charging you after services have ended. They bought out Monitronics and service has declined terribly. But it is so unethical to continue charging the credit card on file long after paperwork has been submitted to end. After faithfully paying $50 for over 10 years, they have a scam to keep getting money after you see their true colors and try to cancel. Don’t ever sign up with them!

I got protect america in 2013 for burglary, fire, smoke and carbon monoxide monitoring. Now I find out they no longer do the above in New York, only burglary. My monthly rate remained the same for half the services. Not fair at all. And I purchased all that equipment for nothing. Now I gotta shop for a new security company. Maybe protect america should have renewed there license.

Extremely unsatisfied. We moved and cancelled our services, they said we had to ride out our contract until expiration but could do that at a reduced rate. We followed up several times. We just got charged another $50 for a service we haven't used in 6 months. On this call thay told us they automatically renewed the contract. What??? There isn't even service at the address. Unbelievable. Getting ready to fill social media with my experience unless they make this right.

The programming of cameras and sensors is tedious and monotonous . Don't recommend. It takes about one hour to program a camera and if your internet router needs upgrading you need to start all over again . Equipment is not replaced for free, especially cameras and the speed of internet must be really good to power cameras. I would not recommend this company. Make sure you read all fine print because they will totally screw you if you don't notify them in the exact number of days to cancel. go to lowes or home depot

If I could give no stars I would. This company just cares about money and not customer service. Always paid on time and when I had a issue they don’t even try to work with you. Horrible customer service. Called several times and each time had to explain my issue and they say they understand but wouldn’t work with me. Was not trying to get out of my contract and just wanted some time to be able to afford installation and new equipment since I didn’t bring my old one from my previous address. Would never recommend this company.

I have been a customer for 3 years and I have been very disappointed in the service provided. The app does not work intermittently, the alarm randomly goes off in the minute of the night without cause, they fail to call when the alarm goes off and the month cost is higher than most other companies. I signed up with Brinks 4 years ago with no clue that my contract was for 5 years and $59 a month. I've used the service a couple times years ago. I am an Arizona teacher on a minimum salary and tried to get out of a contract that is absolutely ridiculous. I was told that I could pay it off, no other choices. I told them that they had already taken a couple thousand dollars from me, please let me out of this blind siding contract. I was told no. This company has no heart. Look elsewhere for your security service.

Installation from that point is simply a matter of affixing the equipment in place and requires no additional tools or expertise. As to the same monthly rate as our competition, we do offer up to $1400 of free equipment up-front and a locked-in rate. we had their service for a long time but when we moved to a new house in May of 2017 with it's own service we couldn't get out the contract by even offering to pay off the balance. they insist on taking the 43.99 a month from our credit card hoping we will forget to call in March of 19 to CANCEL don't deal with this company because they will always try and give you new items which extends your contract. Not happy at all with Brinks. They took over our contract and now are increasing the price we had our contact for. There are so many security systems that DON’t have a contract I would definitely opt for one of them. They also only charge $10.00 a month. Why would anyone sign with Brinks when they don’t honor the contract and raise prices whenever they feel like it. Buyer beware of this company!

Very disappointed. Cheap and outdated system. Dont waste your money with this company. Sensors dont even work half of the time. We have had sensors fall off and set false alarms before. Had to send one sensor back when it was brand new on initial set up cause it didnt even work. Worst part is, we are locked in for 3yrs and cant switch companies.

I purchased Protect America two years ago. After trying to install the equipment for several months I gave up. There was no way to install it without ruining the brand new windows thatI had just spent a huge amount on. I called and requested a cancellation because I was unable to install their equipment. I could not find any way to break the three year contract without buying it out and selling to some other poor dupe. I am still paying on a very foolish mistake. Do not sign a multi year agreement with anyone without a written agreement on satisfaction with the system being used.

I called to have my subscription cancel because i finished paying off the 3 year term and they didn't want to cancel my plan. The customer service person was so rude and basically told me that I wasn't going to get the money that they debted out of my account. Bad company and Bad customer service , my advice is to never use a company that won't allow you to cancel at the end of your term.

Mop0notronics and now Brinks sucks,i am not paying 50.00 for a tecnician,i will change my bank act first.i have as for help countless times,said i may need to upgrade to a cell radio,i think not. extra money i dont5 have,for a service that has never been right and alarm goes off frequently,and in the middle of the night.they charge me 67.80 a month for a lousy service. which im suppose to keep for 2 yrs. i am going to contact my attorney general .

They deserve 0 stars! Can’t wait for my contract to be up. Equipment never installed correctly, Half of it doesnt work and they want to charge me money to have someone come out and fix it. Plus my alarm went off for 3 mins one morning and no one ever called. What if someone broke in. I pay them every month and they aren’t even doing their job.

Very high pressure to give my credit card to schedule a visit to my home. I was ready to have the install done that day but I was not giving my credit card for a consult. They lost a customer. Also tried to tell me that their system had a lifetime warranty that the locals did not offer but they were hiding the cost in the monthly monitoring.

I had to move and tried cancelling the service. Just like others in these reviews, Brinks demanded full payment for the remaining months and would not accept anything less than that. They threatened to report me to the credit bureau if I did not pay. They really show their true colors when you try to terminate the contract, and you the customer mean nothing to them.

I had 2 people call me within two days. I did not know what the other had talked to me about. They started asking "we did he discuss..." I told them that I had already talked to a salesperson. I told the first sales person that I would call them if I decided to go with them. The very next day another calls me. Bad sales practice because I will not choose your company for security services

The sales rep was a little too aggressive and after I had indicated that I was still researching companies and pricing options, the rep became curt with me and was quick to want to end the phone call. That was all I needed to experience to make the decision of not giving Protect America my business.

I have been with this company for 4 yrs, our contract is 3 yrs andin short my service with them for the remaining yrs was a month to month. Now i decided to sell my property and i called them to stop my service effective May 31 2017 and i settled all balances that same day. They continued billing me until Aug of 2017 and said that i did notfile a formal cancelation until july and for them to stop the service it takes a month. They also called telling me that i still have a contract. I don’t want to deal with this company anymore and i will never recommend this to my friends.

I was with Moni 8years had issues with false alarms.They gave me 3months to offset false alarm fees and took 10 dollars a month off my bill.I get a bill a month later saying Im late I called and explain the details and they stated that I also agreed too a 60 month contract lol.I havent bern in contract for years and Im moving why would I agree too that.Brinks owns it now tell me they will let me listen too the call saying I agreed to a 60 month contract .What is this a car lol.Stay away they are crooks.Im reporting them to BBB and I will find out whatelse I can do.

Very disappointed. I signed a 3 year contract and am halfway through it and wished I never joined this company. Lots of problems and now the tiny window sensor will no longer stick to the window, constantly falls off and they want me to pay them to replace this tiny piece of plastic, plus shipping and handling. It's just a tiny replacement part or a piece of new velcro. Take heed...don't waste your time dealing with this company...we can't wait to end our contract with them. Buyer beware...avoid this company at all costs.

Contacted Monitronics to cancel my service. They asked what they could to to keep me as a customer. I told them they had to offer a perk from what I was offered by their competitor on Saturday. A Senior Rep got on the phone & his voice escalated as he was getting upset that I wasn't going to continue my service. They said they send out a cancellation to my email, which I haven't seen. I contacted my bank today & asked them how to stop the payment from drafting my account. Very, Very, Disappointed in their Customer Service.

17 years with this company. Today I decided to close my account. After 40 minutes of abuse, they refused to close my account. The abuse got worse as the different managers came on the line. The last guys told me I had ripped my alarm system out of the wall and that he had a recording of me saying that I had. The system totally died on it's own. He continued to tell me I was a liar and would not assist me in closing the account. They had already billed me for 2 months of NO SERVICE and wanted to charge me another 2 more. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!! COMPLETE CONARTISTS
