I knew about Protect America back east but now I live in Colorado. I got Protect America basically to protect the house because you knever know when you are going to need it, especially when you go to sleep at night. Often times, when I come down the steps, the thing goes off because I forgot to turn it off upstairs, but besides that, it's great!

We live out in the country and a lot of houses were being broken into and I used to work night shifts. We decided to get a security system to protect the family and our home. After researching different progam systems, I found Protect America. We purchased the smoke and burglar services. So far we haven't had any problems. They've made replacements to the system with no charge.

Brinks is hands down the worst company I've ever worked with. We use security cameras in our gymnastics gym to ensure the kids and coaches are safe, and they worked perfectly with Cox. As soon as Brinks took over we started having issues. I've now had 3 separate appointments with techs that tell me "I don't know how to fix this", don't have their own equipment (one tech used my personal laptop for over 6 hours during my workday AND didn't have a necessary HDMI cord), and have been without service for close to a month. I've spent more time on the phone with customer service than I can say, and not one person has apologized, been empathetic, or shown any concern. They refuse to prioritize getting us a new appointment, and I've had to wait weeks in between techs coming out. This has become a liability for my business and they refuse to even transfer me so I can speak with a supervisor. Please, please - save yourself the headache!

The fact that they only have 3 day warranty’s and they’re cameras in the back was very blurry we called called tryed to cancel several times … unfortunately they will not let you outta the contract… Guess we will have to Go to Court … I have a lady friend who’s in her 70’s these peoples have no compassion… when you have an emergency they call your phone doesn’t come through the security system in the house .. she’s a fall risk …we need better service… these people are a joke .. be careful people!!!! They only give you 3 days .. but online they say 30 days … very bad experience they don’t care about their customers… we want out of the contract… 3200.. plus Whst a joke … cameras are very blurry .. .. no visual… please someone contact me if you know how this lady can get outta her contract … she’s in her 70’s not in good health… people take advantage of elderly people all the time .. it’s sad … my email srwd12345@aol.com 757-269-1396…

The Home Security Representative was very helpful. I do not think it would have needed to get to the point that they needed to step in if Brinks would make sure the technical assistant folks are checking any and all issues when they are called on and Brink's Texting assistant absolutely SUCKS. It seems to be driven by automated questions and after 5 minutes, I quit using it as I had not even texted with a real person yet.

The young man that I spoke with advised the door sensor needed to be replaced. I am thankful that he figured out the problem because the new battery didn't resolve the issue. There's a gap in between the magnet and door sensor.

I received an email offering to lock in my monthly rate at $30.18 (rate was $42) by renewing a 36 month contract. I accepted the offer but my next bill was still $42. I called to find out why and was told the $30.18 was before taxes and fees. No where did it say the $30 was the base rate plus taxes or I would have stayed month to month. I spoke with a rep who was very helpful and able to get my rate down to $33 per month for 40 months, but still, Brinks falsely advertised a promotional rate so that's why I am giving them three stars. The customer service rep was excellent, but I shouldn't have had to call her at all, my new bill should have just been $30.18.

I was told by a representative I could receive a monthly statement in the mail. Last week I received my credit card statement in the mail and, I see Protect America billed my credit card. I called and spoke with a representative about the charge and, I explained that I was promised a statement by mail. The representative told me he would go back and listen to the recording of my conversation to make a determination regarding my statement. So far, I have not heard back nor do I expect to hear anything. I am very disappointed about this issue.

Not enough information prior to purchase. They didn't spec out my needs. Instead of asking good questions to determine what types of components would be the best fit for our home, they sold me a generic system which doesn't fit. We are still trying to figure out what gets returned and what gets replaced. Also the camera they sold me for an outrageous price is worthless. It's night vision is terrible. Overall they are way overpriced.

I like that I don't need a computer or a smartphone to have it and it keeps the burglars away. It is a little hard to get used to. They are very prompt with their updates and when they schedule an appointment, they seem to stick with it to the hour.

Little less worrying on stuff and peace of mind is nice. I think the motion detectors are a little too sensitive because once in a while it will pick up animals and I was told it was not supposed to. They are pretty helpful whenever I call them.

The touch screen control panel is really neat and cameras that I have are very good quality as far as picture. Protect America is very professional, very accommodating and explain things well - especially with installation. We like the price.

Very professional and efficient. The doorbell sends texts too much and the motion doesn't actually record what's causing the motion. I think they should enhance the functionality of the doorbell. I do like that Protect America is willing to lock in my rate for the lifetime of my contract.

This was the best home security company I found anywhere. It would have been nice if they could have come and installed the monitors but I got it done. I just wish they made the the monitors a little bit easier to attach to the window indoors they seem to fall off relatively easy.

I got it because I could put it in myself and the price was reasonable. They were very helpful with me setting up the system. I know I'm supposed to go through a check with them monthly but I haven't been doing that. The system works very well. It was easy to install and it works as it was supposed to.

It's easy to set when you're leaving the house. They are very good at making sure you follow up but they continually call. I was having construction on the house and couldn't get the system up and running and they called me and my husband at least 2-3 times a week for over a month.
