The installer made many mistakes having to return to correct there shoddy work at least five times. The project started in August and was completed in late December.

After they installed them, no one came to talk to us to explain how it works. It wasn’t turned on so I googled it. I don’t even know if you bill me or do I get the bill from ASP? Lots of guestion that were never explained

I’ve had a rather frustrating experience with Sunnova solar panels. They subcontract the installation company Freedom Forever, and unfortunately, Freedom Forever has made a few mistakes. They’ve installed the panels on the wrong side of the roof, despite the panels producing electricity as expected. When I reached out to Sunnova to express my concerns, they suggested I contact Freedom Forever. However, Freedom Forever then redirected me back to Sunnova, leaving me feeling stuck and uncertain about how to proceed. I’ve decided to seek legal advice to explore my options and find a resolution to this issue. Don’t go with Sunnova.

My system was installed in January 2024. My monthly payment for my system is $200 less than my old electric bill. I have not had an electric bill since then.

In the beginning everything went well then once we signed a contract we really didn't hear back from anybody. Also we are expected to get a check for 6 months of service as an incentive of signing the contract which we haven't heard back from anybody

Well I send an email and called my sales person the email never were answered the sales person was busy and should call me back when she have a moment been more than a week ! First after installation the system didn't pass inspection than they showed up in the morning not even call to tell me anything the inspector came again same morning he was upset because the repairs should be done before not in the same moment than I claimed to the attic and found they removed the insulation to run the wires and never put them back also when they installed the solar panels the 4 inches screws instead of go in the beams they just perforated the roof leaving a dangerous spot so now to move around got to becareful with my head ! I asked to the sales person about the edge of the panels because the guy replaced my gutters tell me they are to close to the edge when snow comes down off the panels they will take the gutters down or damage them ! I got an email from sunnova telling my system was canceled so now not sure what is going on with it also I asked how I know my system is working or production because isn't any meter on the electrical box I have my old system from Sunrun and the meter shows everything and is 10 years old so no body come and give me guidance about this no calls no nothing I answered the text message from them about the survey and didn't answer either! So what happens you get the system installed like crap and not even have the decency of call to schedule to review with a costumer! I tough this company will be better than Sunrun because of sales person but the way I see is the same garbage

I don't even know who sunnova is. The first install crew was horrible left a mess on site,and had me tear up driveway to trench underground conduit, because they couldn't do the job otherwise, and my driveway is still screwed up.

My friend referred me and was told she and whom she refers will get rewarded (1k). That was a lie. I didn’t get anything because it wasn’t “offered” when I signed but I got an email for that month about the same reward.
Installment was a mess, people drove in my yard despite having a long driveway open to use and side of the road. They were scheduled to come 8-9am, but showed up a little before 7am. Was told power would be off 6-8hrs so I took off work to accommodate and they never needed to turn it off. I wasted my annual time at work for no reason.
The installment resulted in my year old roof leaking and it was extremely difficult getting any responses to help as I have water coming through. They tried to blame my roofing company, despite they just installing it and then having the problem (if my roofing company messed up, it would have leaked prior to this installation especially with the several storms we had with downpouring).
Communication was poor and the manager Justin just ignores it.
I feel like I made the worst decision of my life with this company.

Every one of my calls goes to a central call center where the representatives are very nice but they cannot schedule appointments, answer any questions, and no one ever calls me back when I ask them to have a supervisor respond to me. They make appointments without checking with the homeowner, and I only find out about them if I call and they randomly happen to have scheduled one.

They are rude. They are unwilling to help except to say that you are under contract. They are unwilling to compromise or let you speak to support personnel or a supervisor, saying they will call you back within 2-3 business days. They refuse to accept accountability for unresolved issues. They have no real concept of true communication siting that all issues are going to be resolved accordingly and then no one ever calls you back unless YOU call back several times and then they call but it will always come back to your error in communication or non communication with them. You are under contract is all they site on any and all issues.

So far, system is working however I'm concerned about the placement of the panels. It's different than what the plan showed and now, it looks like 2 or 3 old trees may have to come down. This does NOT make me very happy!

While the sales team and install teams were fantastic, the administrative personnel in the background were completely oblivious. My panels and service were installed over 45 days before they obtained all the needed documentation from my township and from Met-Ed. When trying to contact that department for updates or resolve, all they offered was “we’re waiting for approval to turn your service on”. This should all have been completed prior to the install or nearly at time of install.

I liked professionalism and helpfulness of all people who were involved in the process start to finish, I dislike you being inaccurate about certain things, not the people, the company, where you promised to have a comprehensive app that show production AND consumption of power for my house but it turned its an optional hardware I’d be paying extra for on your website and it rubs me off the wrong way when things like that happens so you either include everything in the system or you make it very clear about the optional things you guys offer through an automated email or text or mail etc…

You need to find installers that give a damn about what they’re doing!!
There are people that have had the panels sitting in their driveways for months, some with panels installed but not hooked up and no idea when they’re going to!! These installers are representing Legacy, and giving you a really bad name.
I was lucky enough to have Trevor V as a representative that gave a damn!! I have a couple issues right now that he working on now, but not everybody was that lucky.
Kudos to Trevor Legacy NEEDS new installers!!

Took a long time and no communication with company. Now that it’s turned on I have not recieved any instruction about an app to monitor if the system is producing what I was promised. All I was told was they will know if it’s working!! Not good enough communication for me! I am really having second thoughts about this whole solar experience. Not a happy customer.

Installers did a terrible job on running electric wire in my attic over my attic access and areas I had for getting to storage spaces and servicing my A/C unit it not the professional type job that I did when I was in the A/C business.

I purchased ADDITIONAL solar panels AND a battery from Sunnova and once everything was connected, my PG&E bill SIGNIFICANTLY increased. I sent am email to Sunnova customer service AND the CEO (John Berger) and they basically told me there was nothing they can do for me. They haven't even tried to determine what the cause of the increase was in my PG&E bill. I have been trying to do my own research and present them with my findings. This is a horrible company that will say whatever they need to to get you to buy from them but will not offer any support for issues that arise after the installation in complete. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

Installer was great & knowledgeable.. However, the customer service didn’t have a clue as far as service dates. It changed four times in three days! Even when the installer was there I received a text saying the installer would be there the next day.. Please communicate with your scheduling departments

When sunny Mac sold us on solar they never mentioned that we would have to pay for this for the next 25 rears. I am 75 my husband is 73. We thought they were using our roof for smart energy. Who in their right mind would do this

The tech arrived without the netting again!!! He looked at the wall with the anchors showing and said he’s not skilled at repairing the damage. Why was he sent out? Why would your company assume that I have all this time to be at my home constantly for no work to be done! This has happened so many times! Your company is the absolute worst I have ever dealt with! I plan to inform as many people as I can of the countless complaints I have made to you regarding installation, customer service, repairs, bad employees, and the list goes on. You can clearly see that management is this issue with your company! Hopefully the more dissatisfied customers like me that make this public will help to correct all your faults and improve the company or shut it down!
