So far Sunnova has been great! They have an answer to every question, take care any issues that arise, gave me a clear and accurate time line and have not tried to oversell me on a system. They cold called me and I was leery at first, but am glad I listened to them. The experience has been painless and I would highly recommend them as a provider as they put the customer first.

No one has getting back to me in a few weeks. The guy who is suppose to be handling my case was on vacation for 2 weeks but it has been 3 and yet no answer to my question. My electric company wants me to sign a contract stating I have a 1 million dollar policy on my home. Which is not worth 300,000. Not good!

I am not at all happy with my solar. I was told during day light I would be total solar. It is now 89 degrees outside and I am still pulling from the grid. I am also not happy that a battery was not supplied with this deal, because I am using to much electric and now paying for both. VERY dissatisfied.

WORST EVER!! I hired Sunnova to install solar panels. They overcharged for their PPA. They made promises they didn't keep. NO SHOW, NO CALL. Worst customer service EVER!! I will never use this company again. And to think some builders require that you hire them.

This company is the worst company I been having problems with leakage in my hall entirely house every where and never fix it I didn't have leakage in my house before installing the panels but I decided to change the shingles to prevent any leakage in future but the installation wasn't as good as supposed to be. If you think to get solar panels from this company don't do it run and get different company please run 🙏

I take full responsibility for not fully reading my contract before the installation. I was not told my bill from Sunnova would vary and I will be charger at a higher rate as time goes on. I am actually going to be paying more than I was paying before I got solar. I asked about buying the system and was told that was not an option for five years. I listened to what I was told but I was not told the full story. Learn from my experience. COMPLETELY READ THE CONTRACT before buying. I'm sure this review will be removed quickly. Buyer beware.

Not happy

This was an add on to our current system (also Sunnova) and has taken almost 6 months to complete. We should have had the correct amount of panels installed the first time not requiring additional panels as we have not made any additions to our home.

This company is very unorganized. It was not my first choice as my installer selected this company to install my new inverter for my solar panels. I had a technician call me to let me know that he would be late but is still coming. But never showed up in the selected time frame. After calling customer service, I found out 10-15 mins after the technician called, that he cancelled and had my appointment moved to a later date. I was never contacted nor did I confirm the date and timeframe of the new service appointment. This caused a big inconvenience as I had to take another day off from work. I spoke with customer service to see if they could fit me in sooner because I had been 2 weeks without my solar panels working.The best they could do is put in a ticket. If I have the option to choose a different company for my repairs in the future, I would not chose this company.

The Sunnova installers damaged my clay tile roofs even though I gave them spares to patch back their damaged. It caused a leak in my house 8-years after install and $85K of damage. In addition, they wired the panels wrong. They had the panels installed in series instead of parallel, which made the system not effective. When I called customer service, they only guaranteed roof warranty of 1-year and the system warranty of 10-years as long as I don’t pay off my system. Unfortunately for me, I paid off the system to avoid paying their monthly charges. Their customer service was good to pick up the phone and answered my questions, but the company executed poorly to service or repair any damages their system created. I do not recommend Sunnova because they sub out their installation to people who are not qualified to work on solar or roofs.
