Dan the Bug Man's cold Segway call at our curb as I was watering sod started what has proven to be a satisfying working relationship. Following his seasoned sales prowess with a customer centric style, he turned over operational reins to Javon to enthusiastically execute the plan. He, the GM and I chatted about the scope of our property and decided Super "J" would treat the home and environs first, following up Monday treating the more expansive grounds, which he did. Javon should attain a 5-star rating after displaying his audition performance was not a fluke. I think he's made of the right stuff!

On our first visit, the Aptive Tech took us thru a thorough inspection of our house and provided recommendations for repairing critter access points. He found many we hadn't seen. Besides doing a total spray outside for bugs, he placed several traps in strategic places. We caught a huge rat within 3 days. On our next visit, he checked the other traps, including several in the attic, and found no further victims. We haven't seen or heard any rats since. We are VERY pleased with their service.

Mr. B is super!! I so hated the bugs appearing in the furnace room in the basement, and I had set several bug glue papers in that room to catch them. Mr. B sincerely listened to my paranoia about bug-surrounding-furnace, and he kindly surveyed my glue papers, and he immediately figured out what those bugs are, and assured me with saying that all the bugs are typical bugs and his treatments would work for the bugs. And yes, it's almost 3 weeks passed, I don't see them!!!! Yay!!!

Treatment was done on 08/03/2019 and by 8/06/2019 my ant infestation was gone, Aptive Environmental's pest control products worked! Dean H's thoroughness in his application has left no entry point for those pesky ants to gain access to my residence, plus he removed numerous cobwebs and mud dobber nests. A very good start to a new service, thank you!

Tom (?) was just out to my house on Thursday and went above and beyond by checking and cleaning a trap in my crawl space. I had asked about that service when I was approached about switching from the company I was using, and was assured that crawl space traps would be checked. So I switched to Aptive, as I didn’t think my service did bug control, too. But the crawl space hadn’t been checked. Tom was not prepared for this (I had called earlier to ask to have this done, but that note was not flagged in my account), nevertheless, he went down, cleaned the trap and reset it! He listened to any issues I had, spiders, and said he would spray areas he feels where the spiders should be. Offered his services if any issues come up between now and my next treatment. The you g man seem very knowledgeable about my wasp problem. He suggested I pick up the plugs of dirt (results of my aerating my lawn 1-1/2 weeks ago) as wasps could be using them to build their nests. I did that last night, after the wasps settled in for the evening. I have seen a few this morning but not as many as the last week+. I am praying the problem will be solved with the spraying and my cleaning off the plugs. Time will tell. Thank you.

I like the concept of this environmental pest control service, and I'll see this first year how well it works, how thorough the quarterly technicians perform their service, and then make a determination about its value. I loved the "initial service" technician, Justin O (or Q?), who was pretty thorough, spent plenty of time, had credentials and knowledge, and was extremely amiable. I value the offer and guarantee of free "in-between" service calls. I'm very skeptical about the "less then obvious, though explained upon asking" business model of the heavily discounted initial service fee (with what appears to be an extremely jacked up list price), followed by the "essentially" required quarterly fees … and wonder if the follow-up visit, only 1 month after the initial treatment (which is recommended) is REQUIRED … and if so, will Aptive attempt to charge me for this next 1-month follow-up call? … which is NOT “quarterly” pricing or service, and would be deceptive.

I was a little hesitant as we signed up for Aptive with a door to door sales person. We've been battling ants in the spring summer for the past seven years. Treating ourselves hasn't worked well, so we agreed to sign up. The technician came the next day for our first treatment and we have not seen one ant since. Courtney was amazing! He was the best technician I have had come here since we started the service with aptive. He first called and said he was coming early in the morning but I had a sudden change in childcare plans and needed him to come later. He gladly said he would go to another home first and then call to check back with me on my status. He did just that and came when I was home and had dropped my daughter off. Then he did extra work to clear cobwebs off the sides of the house when I requested it. He was very kind and a great technician! Send him again next time!

The two workers one who set up the appointment and one who serviced the property were very pleasant, well spoken and knowledgeable about the service! Initial salesman was clean, neat and well dressed with a low key, knowledgeable presentation. When I expressed concern about my pets he left information with me to check out. I did, called them and they came out and all ants are gone. At the one month follow-up technician found 2 dirt dauber nests and 2 small wasps nests which he took care of. Very happy with them.

Your technician came in and did a fabulous job at removing a large wasp nest located between the window and the storm window in an upstairs bedroom. It looked like an impossible situation, but your guys were totally successful at removing it without harm to anyone! And without one wasp left alive!! Thank you!!! Today, Ivan came to service my home. He did a fantastic job. I’ve had recurring problems with spiders and told him (this was his first time here). He spent 3 times longer than any former Aptive employee has treating and webbing all areas of my home. Yay! I was extremely close to cancelling Aptive until this young man came today. He asked me to give the treatment 2 weeks, and if I still had problems to call Aptive ( I’ve done this in the past for courtesy retreats, but the same guy came out and didn’t fix the problem...until Ivan came.) His determination is the reason I engaged Aptive. Give this young man a raise!!!

I recently moved into a duplex riddled with every kind of bug you can imagine and spiders EVERYWHERE. I dont mind a few bugs here and there but it was overwhelming and created a concern for my pets safety. When I saw the outside of my home after Aptive came out to do a treatment I was thrilled with the results. The removed all webs and nests of other bugs and cleaned up the mess, its a complete difference! Jenner S went into my attic to check the area. He sprayed outside for wasps and found some in a lower gutter by the front door that other pest companies never did. He sprayed the eaves. He explained all this when he was done and told me that I should expect a number of wasps dying and falling near the front door. He did an excellent and I am pleased.

Service was on time (as per schedule), and the work seemed to be completed as described in the contract. Nathaniel B was friendly and very polite. However, there were two problems--one minor one was that I did not receive a call to let me know when Nathaniel would be arriving at my house, so I was a little surprised when he showed up 20 minutes before the appointment window that I was given. The second issue was more serious--when I inspected the house perimeter after he had left I found that an outdoor thermometer that I mounted (using wood screws) to a tree outside my kitchen window was knocked off of the tree and had been broken. I just found the pieces as I was doing the inspection and Nathaniel never mentioned that he had broken the thermometer. It was old and not an expensive item, but I really think he should have told me what happened before he left.

Service is good once the technician arrived. Getting someone to arrive on time was painful. I purposefully scheduled a service to fit around my family's schedule (including my job). The morning a technician was to arrive, I received an update saying Aptive had shifted the time window from the morning to the afternoon. In calling customer service, I was disconnected three times. Finally, a representative had the temerity to tell me the appointment had always been for the afternoon. Thankfully I had the original e-mail to back me up, but she still called it lucky she was able to re-schedule a different technician for a morning window. At the end of the call, the representative asked if I wanted a call one hour prior to the technician's arrival. How thoughtful! I requested the option for the call. I got a call 5 minutes before he arrived, and the arrival was still outside (30 minutes) the originally specified window. The technician gave an excuse for why the call was only 5 minutes prior to his arrival (not caring that he was late anyway) that made it seem, again, as though he was doing me a favor in showing 5 minutes after the call.

Thank you so much for coming to my door a few months ago, offering your services. I said of coarse! They started the following Monday and whatever was done made my yard fly free and any other bugs too. The neighbors on both sides of me with multiple dogs and I personally don’t they pick up poop(we use a poppers scooper x3 a week) so there is NO poop in my yard and since Aptive started, their flies and stuff don’t come to the yard from their yards. TIM N CAME OUT AND DID A FINE JOB WITH THE QUARTERLY SERVICE ON 7/22 HE SHOULD GET HIS $5 BONUS. MY ISSUE IS WITH THE DAY YOU GUYS SCHEDULED THE WORK TO BE DONE.NOT 20 MIN AFTER TIM FINISHED WE GOT MOONSON TYPE RAINS WHICH IN MY EYES DILLUTED OR WASHED AWAY WHATEVER PRODUCT HE PUT DOWN. THE WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE DAY STATED THIS WAS COMING. I THINK IT WAS POOR JUDGEMENT ON MANAGEMENTS PART TO APPLY ANY TYPE OF TREATMENT IN THIS TYPE OF WEATHER. I DOUBT IT WILL HAVE THE DESIRED EFFECT. IF MY THINKING IS WRONG PLEASE ADVISE. IN THE FUTURE PLEASE DO APPLICATIONS WHEN WE WILL HAVE AT LEAST 48 HOURS OF GOOD DRY WEATHER.

It's been over a week since our first application and I've hardly seen a bug. I was concerned because a rain downpour started shortly after the completion of our application. Previously, when I'd go out on our deck or out front, I'd do the 'dance of the ants' -- trying to 'get' them. My own solutions never worked even close to the results of Active Environmental. The attendant was professional, pleasant and knowledgeable.
