We have been trying to cancel life Alert for 3 months since our mother passed. Life Alert has been extremely difficult to deal with. Yesterday they promised to have the equipment picked up by UPS, and like all their other promises, it was not delivered.

They make it extremely difficult to cancel the service. First they tell you no one can help you at this time and someone will call you back. When you have to finally call back then they want a power of attorney faxed over. They do everything possible to stop you from canceling.
