While Medical Guardian does offer some of the best equipment and services in the industry, there are still some aspects of their service that require additional attention prior to purchasing.

  • Initial Service Agreement: While there is no contract with Medical Guardian, there is a minimum three-month (90-day) service agreement. Medical Guardian asks that consumers try their service for at least three months before canceling. Consumers may decide they do not want to wait three months to cancel; however, Medical Guardian will keep the 90-day minimum charge and consumers will then receive money back for any remaining portion of the service charges they did not use. This is not ideal for those who want to test Medical Guardian for one month, but cancellation is still possible.
  • No Combo Package: Medical Guardian does not offer a combo package at this time. This means that consumers will not be able to group multiple items together to receive a discounted rate.

How much does Medical Guardian cost?

Medical Guardian has four products that vary in price. Here is a price breakdown of each product:

  • Classic Guardian: $29.95/month

Is there a contract?

There are no long-term contracts for any of the products. However, part of the customer agreement states that there is a minimum three-month service agreement for each product. The equipment remains the property of Medical Guardian. The monthly charge begins the day the customer receives the device. After the three-month period has expired, the contract will be automatically renewed unless either the customer or the company elects to terminate it. Customers who cancel after the three months are entitled to refund of any unused prepayments, provided the equipment is still in working order. If customers do not return the equipment, they are subject to a charge for it. The benefit of not owning the equipment is being able to have the newest gear available without having to pay a bunch for it.

    I wear it everyday, it’s comfortable. The only thing I don’t like is that it’s so big that I usually wear it under my blouse and it reaches out of my blouse. It’s not flat; it’s really thick. I also wish you could get a watch, or a wrist button, but that wasn’t available to me. I got it for myself because I live alone. I haven’t had to use it, except to test it. My experience then with their representatives was fine; I just told them I was testing it, and they asked me if I was okay, and I said yes.

    So far, we haven’t had to use Medical Guardian. We got it for my mom because she lives alone and she uses a walker to get around. Before we got it, she did fall and didn’t have any way to get help. We got it as soon as that happened, so that if she had any more incidents, and I wasn’t around to help, she would be able to use it. I wanted to be able to have something anytime she’s walking around or in the shower so she has some kind of safety device to help her in case she falls or can’t get up. Medical Guardian’s representatives were really courteous, and they explained the whole system. We purchased the necklace and the bracelet together. We got the whole system within a week of ordering, and got it set up immediately and got it connected. We don’t have any problem; it’s really simple to set up. You just give the representative your numbers for your emergency contacts, and when you receive it, you plug it in and call them and tell them that you activated it. There was nothing to it, it was super simple!

    We called when we first got it, just to test it, but haven’t had to use it. My mother wears the device all the time, and we feel comfortable now that she has it. If anything happens, we know we’ll get a quick notification. Besides, their customer service agent was very informative. I personally thought it was easy to use, easy to connect and everything was straight forward. She was very helpful. I’m very satisfied with the ease of use, plus, setting it up was very easy.

    We purchased Medical Guardian for my 81-year-old mother. She wears the wristband every day, all day. Whenever she goes out of the house, she takes the little GPS box with her, in case something happens. The reps? They were great! When I initially reached out for more information, they called back within like 30 minutes. We ordered everything and got it between 8 and 9 days. Besides that, I would recommend to add a more descriptive user guide. A more general description of which device is used for what, is one thing that could have helped my mother.

    Speaking to them was wonderful! The representative answered all my questions, and I told him that I would get back with him in two weeks. He only called me once a week to check on me, just as I had requested. My mother was in rehab, so I couldn’t really buy it just yet, and he fulfilled all my expectations. A couple of companies I checked before Medical Guardian still keep calling me. I would definitely recommend the representative I spoke with. and I would give him the highest marks you could possibly give somebody.
