So if you we're to press your button anywhere in the house, it would still trigger the alarm although you might not be able to hear the operator. By standard protocol, our operators will try calling the base station first and if they do not get a response, they will call the premise phone number. If they do not get a response from either, they will dispatch help immediately to ensure that everything is okay. I have had Medical Guardian for two years , and have excellent service when I need emergency help. My problem is with your customer service. I have had problems with my mobile for months with not being able to get the mobile charged. I put it on the charger, and it will not get a good charge, and as today, it has been on the charger for nine hours and it is NOT charged. This happens often, and when I call customer service, I get the same thing which is no help at all. I am handicapped and feel safe when it works, but most of the time it does not. Customer always tells me to leave it on the charger , and other things that does not help. I wanted to return it and get some brand that works, however, customer service does not seem to care what the problem is, or if I have a working mobile or not. So, please tell me how I get some help with this. I would be hesitant to recommend Medical Guardian because of not being able to get help when needed when mobile fails.

The services given are very good but the prices are misleading at first. The option for someone disabled would most likely be the $40+ a month, over $480+ a year. Much too expensive for most disabled/handicapped/seniors.

When I signed up initially, MG was quite efficient and I was pleasantly surprised to receive the watch about a week after placing the order. The watch was not of sturdy construction though and the wings that contain the pins that attach the watchband are pretty flimsy. On the first watch, two broke off after maybe the 3rd or 4th time I put it on. Further, the watch wouldn't hold a charge for more than 8-10 hours. When I spoke with the tech support group, they stated it might be my cell coverage (I live in the country and don't have a land line) but wanted to send me a second watch to see if it did better. The second watch didn't do better and so they sent me the "pendent" unit along with prepaid return shipping labels. I put the two watches in the mail on April 3 and, when the "pendent" didn't perform either, I mailed it back on April 8 with my label and money. The April 8 package was received the same week and the two packages mailed on April 3rd, using their prepaid labels, weren't received at least 2 weeks later . This return service is just slow and frustrating for someone like myself who wants the service cancelled and charges stopped. The bottom line for me is the people were friendly and tried to be helpful but the product just performed miserably due to my poor rural cell phone coverage.

Already used it once when I'd fallen on my sun porch. Emergency help came and I was unhurt. My only point is that I would like to be able to communicate through the wrist band.
