It was the best value for the money. If any of my friends needed to have some one of these services, I definitely would give them heads up for this particular company. They are very good. I purchased it for my mother, and she has been using it for now for three months. So far they have lived up to their advertising of what they do, and we expect our service to continue as such. We have not had any emergency situations such as a fall, but they've been very proactive at handling any situation. She's had no problems with it. In fact, they were very cordial whenever she had a problem getting the thing to connect up with their system. The customer service that they had was outstanding. They stayed working with my mother, who is not technically minded, to get her necklace working properly until everything worked just the way it's supposed to. It's compact enough that it's easily transportable, and it's also good that it's attractive enough not to look ugly against whatever she's wearing.

I did research and I found that it was the best value for what I wanted. It's easy to use, it's light weight, it's water resistant, and I wear in the shower every day and haven't had a problem with it. It's handy. The customer support is courteous. It didn't take very long for the phone call to go through. It was clear, and it was easy to understand. I've used the device twice. I have Parkinson's disease. I was standing and I couldn't get seated because I couldn't move anywhere, so I pushed the button and they came and helped me find the seat. Another time I was having some severe all over pain, and I pushed the button to get help from an ambulance. I think the wristband one was too heavy; I'm a very small woman. It's heavy and it's plastic and it's hot, so I had my girls cut it off and put on a ribbon. I wish that they would buy something other than the plastic wristband. I mean, I made it work, but it sometimes fails because it's just velcro.

My kids decided that I would have one. So I said fine, found it online, and called and ordered it. They've been excellent, and I'm very happy with it. One time I was in the hospital up in Syracuse, and I just came out of the operating room and I had given the device to my daughter because I forgot to leave it at home. She left it in her purse, which she put on a chair or something, and somehow it hit it just right, and the thing was ringing there. I guess we didn't hear it immediately at the time. My son in Italy got called, my daughter in Atlanta got called, and they were calling here. My daughter was out back and the police were at the front door, and the ambulance was on the way, but she told them, no, I was in Syracuse, New York being operated on! They responded very, very well. It was an accident, but they covered everything. It's very efficient, and you know, you can't ask for anything better.

I checked a lot of different companies' ratings, and what people had written about them. AARP and everything else had them as number one, so I went with them. It's a little bit expensive, but it's convenient to use, and it seems to be very well made, so I'm happy. When I first got it, I was supposed to have gotten a watch setup instead of the the necklace part, and I gave them a call. They straightened it out in a heartbeat and sent it out; I had it in two days! I've never had to use it, fortunately, but when I do call for my checks to make sure the system is working, they are very prompt as far as answering. Other than that, it's a nice feature to have when you get a little older and your health's not that good. I already have recommended it to others.

I was looking through online reviews and then contacting the company and talking with them. They were very quick getting the device to us; it was seamless. They were very patient; they were able to work with my dad, who's got a pretty strong accent, and they were very helpful over the phone. We actually got the device talking him through the steps and how to set it up, so I think the online support along with the direct support was super helpful. My only hesitation was the one time we did a test run. It seems like it took a while longer than it should have for somebody to respond to us. I think the cost was right in line with everything else. It seemed comparable to others and it stayed the same. You can cancel anytime, so you aren't stuck with it forever. He has it just in case he falls, so it's just a nice back up. We have not had to use it. The equipment is simple. The one they can wear around the wrist is very helpful. Same with the cellular device that they can carry with it, so it's portable, and it's not stuck at your house and that's it.

I was living by myself and had a lot of instability issues that were progressively getting worst. I had a couple of falls where I ended up going to the hospital, but it wasn't until a few years after that that I decided to actually get an emergency button. I had just recovered from a back problem but needed to have both hips replaced. Between my back, knee, and leg problems I was just unstable and kept falling off. I'm totally also disabled now and I'm usually on my wheelchair, but from time to time I get up from it. There is a nurse that takes care of me too, but she's only around in 14 hour shifts. Because of that we got it. The button is not hard to use at all. I just have to press it and they come out and help me. I had been using it for a while when I fell going from my bedroom to the kitchen. The nurse was there but I didn't know that, so I pushed the button and sure enough the people came here with an ambulance to help me. They stayed on the line with me to make sure that I was alright and everything. I didn't need to be taken to the hospital, so they just helped me get up. I feel more secure knowing that I can get help if I fall again. The price is not bad at all, but I do wish it was lower. I'm on social security and have to depend on my daughter's help to pay for it. Still, I'm keeping the system in case of emergency.

It's primarily a preventative thing. I live alone, and my kids were not comfortable with me being here by myself thinking that I might not be able to get up to get my phone. I have not had to use it at this point in time yet, so I don't have much to say about it except that the comfort of knowing that I have it is nice. My daughter researched it, and based on that, she thought this one was the best fit. I think that there was a special going on anyway. She said something like that when they selected this one. It is convenient. I just wear around my neck, and I prefer that to the wrist version or whatever else is available. When I test the apparatus there is an answer right away, so I know that everything is okay.

My sister's son bought her one that works a couple of yards around the house and her yard. I thought I'd get the same one and without realizing it I got Medical Guardian. I'm glad though because in the end I got just what I wanted. It's a great asset to have since I can travel to see my children with it and it's a great security blanket for that. I always have it around my neck or in my purse so I can be safe wherever I go. At first I was confused about how I wanted to pay for it, but we got that straightened out. I thought the price was really high since I'm on a limited income, but I'm fortunate in that I can afford it. I feel very happy with everything and I'm really glad that I'm using it.

I got it for my mother since I live in northern California and she lives in southern California. She lives by herself, is 82 years old, and has a lot of broken bones, so I really wanted her to have it even though we have relatives down there. After my husband heard about them, we decided to go with Medical Guardian. It was pretty affordable and so far everything has been great. The product and the service couldn't be better. The button works great. If they can't get a hold of her they'll just send someone out right away. She falls a lot and it has probably saved her life a lot of times since we got it a few months ago. They have gone by and picked her up when she falls so she doesn't just lay on the floor for hours. Both my sister and I get alerts whenever something happens. One time they alerted us and by the time we checked in on my mother the fire department was already down there. Whenever I call with questions someone always gets right back to me with the answers. They're very polite, helpful, and accommodating. They're so empathetic. It has been a great experience.

I did a lot of research on the companies. When I called them, they answered my questions a little better than the other companies that I talked to so I ended up purchasing it for my mother. It just felt like they were actually concerned about the person rather than just trying to make a sale. They were very helpful in setting everything up and in answering any questions we had. They made sure that my mother knew how to use everything and were just very professional and helpful. We're relatively new to the system, she has only had it for a couple of months, but it's clear that if she needs help she will be able to get it. She hasn't had to use it yet but she seems comfortable with it. The price is reasonable and I'm very pleased with the way they handle everything. They're just very helpful and honest. It has been a good experience.

I'm my husband's care giver so I researched all of the services on the internet to get something for him. Judging from the information that we got and the amenities that they had, Medical Guardian seemed to be the best match for us. I also felt they give you the best bang for your buck. He puts it on the minute he gets up and takes it off when he goes to bed at night. So far he hasn't really had a bad fall or reason to use it, but we have tested it several times. We were concerned that it wouldn't work well where we live in Florida, but we were able to hear them alright. Sometimes when we call it seems to take them maybe a minute or two to come on the line though. It's not instant, but we've been very pleased with it. The other day I dropped it in the toilet by accident. I managed to take it out and spray it well with disinfectant before trying it to see if it worked. They had reassured us that it was weather proof, and after all that the button still worked. Now we have a broken clip, so we have to replace it since that's the button he prefers using.

I picked it because it gave my father the freedom to go where he wanted to go and do whatever he wanted to do. He drives two miles to church every morning and sometimes in the evening too. It's also not a big deal for him to walk a mile or two from the house, so he takes it with him. It's easy for him to carry it around. He doesn't have to worry about losing it since it comes in the little pouch that you can put on a belt. He also has the bracelet or the necklace. If he needs it, all he has to do is push the button. I've never had trouble with them whenever we call or push the button to test it. Everybody is always very helpful.

I checked about it, asked some questions. I have a 95-year-old mother, and just wanted to use it as an extra support. It's just a little bit of insurance for when we're not home and she's home alone for an hour or two, in case something would happen. We really haven't had to use it for anything like an emergency, but we do get calls to see if it's working properly. We haven't had to use any of the real support yet or anything, but it's always there. We haven't had any problem with it or anything of that nature. It's pretty easy to use, it's well-lit, everything is helping. It's pretty simple to use, to start and stop, and to keep an eye on.

I work for a home care company that has non-medical home care. I had one client that had just received a Medical Guardian system and we were able to just call them and figure things out. They were very polite and helpful, so we had no trouble following the instructions to set it up with the telephone line. When I called to place an order for my mother, the gentleman that I spoke with made everything very clear and easy to do. Setting it all up was pretty straight forward as well and, judging from everything so far we got the best and quickest service out there. It's more than adequate as a service. The button is easy to use and my mother knows exactly how to use it. Apparently, she pushed the button once by accident because we got a notification about that. It was an accident so she told them that it wasn't an actual emergency and they didn't send anyone out. That was really good since it's one of the most important things for us. I'm sure they were very respectful and responsive then since she called me right back after it happened to tell me about it. She doesn't always remember things, but that must've been significant enough that she remembered it and told me about it.

I was looking things up on the computer and send an inquiry about it. I had barely gotten off the computer when they called me and gave me all the information that I needed. Since it sounded like a good company and I had seen it listed as one of the best ones, I chose to go with them. The device is good. I haven't had to use it yet, but I've tested it twice and it has worked ok so far. They're quick to respond and want to make sure that I'm alright and if I need help. Usually I just tell them I'm alright, give them my name, and they thank me for testing it. My family and I feel better having it around.

My children were the ones that pretty much decided to get it. I had a crisis where I almost died while trying to call 911. After that my kids told me I needed one of these buttons because I lived alone. They researched it and thought Medical Guardian was the best one for me, so they got it. My only complaint is that they're not always available. I tried calling them once over the weekend and they didn't respond. They should have a person that you can talk to at all times if you have a problem or question about the thing. I mean, for the money that I'm paying, there should be someone there 24/7. Other than that I haven't had any problems with the device and when I lost it last week they sent me a new one. They're a good company, but if someone asked me about it I'd probably tell them to look for something more reasonable.

I received information from two different companies and went online to learn more about them. In the end, Medical Guardian was the one I felt more comfortable with, so I got it. I haven't had to use it, but I wear the necklace thing and carry the voice box with me all the time. It's very comfortable. Now I'm used to taking it with me even when I go down the driveway to get the newspaper. When it's rainy or really cold out, I make sure I take it with me too. That way I ensure I can always get back to my apartment safely. It gives me a great deal of comfort to know that I have it and that I can get help with it. I called them when I misplaced the little booklet that they give you. I asked if they had a manual or something else that would give me more information about the system and within a couple of days, they mailed it out to me. I really appreciated how quickly they responded to that. Now I keep the booklet handy all the time. The button is not obtrusive and when I wear it nobody notices that I have it on. That's very important to me since I don't want people to know I have it on. It's just something that's very private.

The ability to use the service while away from home and the GPS location bit were what convinced me of getting it. The people are very knowledgeable, it just takes a little bit to get through to them. I've had to use it once while I was at home. I needed to go to the emergency room and they sent an ambulance out to pick me up. I've also tested it when I was out and about in the community and they were able to locate exactly where I was. One of my watches has broken before and they sent me a new one to replace it. The thing is that that one broke again when I was out doing physical therapy. My home unit is messed up right now too, I can't really press the button on it anymore.

I've had a couple of mini strokes before and my children were concerned about that since I live by myself. Because of that my daughter went and got it for me. I'm a senior but I still I go to the field to play softball. Since I wear the necklace all the time, I just tell the guys that if I fall down I can just press the button and someone will come get me. Thank goodness I haven't had to use it, I've only really pressed the button by accident and I usually don't even notice that I've done it. They always call me right away when that happens. So I know that if I really need they they'll be there for me. I even got a door lock so if I don't answer the fire fighters can come in without breaking the door. They had a good list of services and features so we looked into it. They had a lot of positive reviews and when we called the person that we talked was very helpful. Because of that we decided to just get it for my mother. They helped us set everything up and since then my mother wears the pendant everyday. On one occasion she had to use it when she slipped and fell down. She had trouble getting up, so she pressed the button and they came to help her get up. Everything seems to work very well, the only problem she has mentioned so far is that, since the button is very large, she sometimes sets it off by accident. Still, it works very well when she needs it.

I pulled out a website that showed the different features of each device. Medical Guardian had all of the features I was looking for and I knew some people that were using it. There were other services out there that were less expensive, but they just had exactly what I was looking for so I went ahead and got it. I don't keep it in my house, but I have a place out of town where I go by myself. When I do that I always carry it with me in case I need to reach out for help. Thankfully I have not had to use it, but it seems to be working the way it should. I inadvertently pressed the button once while I was out doing stuff and they came out immediately. It gives me comfort and peace of mind to know that I have something that I can use to get assistance if I fall.

My wife was the one that found it for me. I work out a lot by myself while my wife is out at work. She wanted me to have some way to get help if something happened during those times. I don't have a cellphone and I'm out by myself a lot. If something were to happen it's really useful to have it since I can get a hold of somebody who can call an ambulance for me. I usually just have it on me, either on my belt or around my neck. I've called a couple of times to make sure that it works and contacted them, but I haven't really had to use it. The only downside is that, if I accidentally hit the button that I wear around my neck, they will call everyone even if it's a mistake. I've done that a couple of times actually. Though, when I can to just ask questions I usually get vague answers. I know it's a little high price-wise, but I'm sure it's worthy everything it costs.

While getting everything set up and going through everything that I needed, they made things very easy and simple. I wear it all day or have it somewhere that I can reach easily. I'd prefer it if it could look a little fancier, it just looks too medical right now. Because of that I have to make sure it's not showing when I go out with it.

Quite frankly what convinced me was that they included the lock box and that their pricing was competitive. I like that they let me put a couple of names down in my emergency contact list. It actually works very well and they contact the people on the list if I happen to need assistance. Everything went perfectly when I had to call for an ambulance using the main station. My sons got messages immediately after I pushed the button. There was also one time when the alert went out when it wasn't a medical alert or an emergency of any kind, but we got that figured out. It worked when I needed it. I'm completely comfortable with my decision of going with them.

My daughter is a nurse and she researched different things and read a lot about these services. In the end she chose Medical Guardian for me and I've chosen to stick by her idea. I'm comfortable using the button. It's a little bit heavy but I've been able to keep it from dangling under my clothes by keeping it in my bra. I do wish the button was a little smaller, but otherwise it's great. I know that when I press the button, even if it's by accident, I'll get someone to help me right away. One time I realized I wasn't wearing it and that it had fallen off of my clothes. I didn't see it at all so I called because I was very scared of losing it. They were able to tell me where it was and in a little less than 5 minutes I was able to find it.

I was in the hospital for six weeks and we got it all set up and ready so it'd be there when I got back home. I haven't had to use it, but there's times when I've pressed the button without knowing and they've answered right away. Actually, I used to wear it to bed but I don't do that anymore since I've hit the button in the middle of the night and gotten scared when they call. We called several times and, quite honestly, it all came down to the customer service we received then. Of course, we also checked around and looked at the reviews before getting it for my mother. It has been easy to check the button to make sure that it's all working. There have been a couple of occasions when we did need it and we got the exact response that we expected to get. They're very responsive and respectful. It has definitely lived up to the promises they made and expectations that we had. We'd like the button to be a little bit more attractive since it's something that my mother needs to wear all the time. That'd make it a little easier to wear.

It works, for one thing. I had one before from another company, and it sounded real good, except it didn't work very well. I had to shop around after that. I found this one, and it does work, which was the main reason for choosing it. We've tested it a couple times just to be sure it was working. It's supposed to work anywhere, and anywhere we ever tested it, it does work. As long as you have cellular service, it will work, so it's fine. It does what it's supposed to do. It's not cheap, but they are very trustworthy; I have no reason to think they're not. My husband died and I live alone, and that's why I got the device, but I have not had to use it yet. I had done research and I decided that it was the best one for me, providing the best service. Every time that I have had any dealings with them, they answer your questions and they're easy to deal with. My only complaint is that nobody ever calls to check on you. When my mother had a device I remember they called once a month just to check in, and nobody ever calls to check in. Also, the device is too large. I was wondering if they have a wrist device instead of the one that goes around your neck.

It met the criteria for what I was looking for so I got it for my mother. When I first purchased it, the young man that I talked to was very thorough and he answered all my questions. He went through the pricing with us and everything. My mother is following all the instructions that came on the packet that they gave us. The information there was very thorough and easy to understand. She has told me that when she puts the necklace around her neck it feels very heavy, especially since she's a tiny person. I've tried to encourage her to wear it around her waist, but she insists on putting it around her neck. I'd like it if she had something that was a bit more lightweight. Otherwise, she's very happy with it. They've done exactly what they told me they would do and I've had no problems with them. There was one time when she was out shopping and she pressed the button. They went to her home immediately to try and find her but since she wasn't there they called me and kept on looking for her. They were very thorough in finding her. I've been very pleased working with them. The service is expensive, I'm paying about $60 a month, but it's worth every penny if it helps protect my mother.

I had a different one and I was not satisfied. My doctor got on the computer and entered the information to have everybody call me, and Medical Guardian was one of the first ones that I talked to. The young lady that I spoke with was so nice and knowledgeable. Every question that I had she answered very nicely. She was just always so polite and she brought up things that I had not thought of. Their support has always been there when I needed it. They call just so you know how your equipment is doing, and to check on you. I had to use it one time when I fell over and I hit my head. I was bleeding pretty badly. I was conscious and knew where my phone was, but I had the Medical Guardian on me, which was much better. I asked the operator if she would call my son and daughter-in-law, to come over from close by, to see if we needed an ambulance or not. We stayed on the line and they came over. They looked at it and they told her that I needed to get to the hospital, and they got everything here quickly. The device itself it is very user-friendly. The pendant is very easy; just wearing a neck strap on your neck, that's no problem at all. I have the one you wear on your arm and that was my favorite. I had to replace one, though. One of them just came apart by itself at one point, but when I called, they said that's no problem; we'll just send you a new one, and it'll be in the mail in three days. You can't beat customer service like that. I like their device, I like their customer service, and I am satisfied. I am not going to change.

I researched all of them, and it seemed like this was the best. There were more positive reviews about this company than the other ones, plus the price wasn't that bad, and I could cancel after three months if I had needed to. I'm sure it probably resembles all the other companies, but it seems efficient. I talked to the person that signed me up and he answered all my questions right there. Since then I haven't had a need to utilize customer service. I've had no problems. I can wear that device in the shower. If I go out, all I have to remember is to take that little transmitter with me and that's it. People keep asking me what time is it when they see the thing on my wrist. If somebody asked me, I'd recommend it, because I don't see any problems with it.

My daughter bought it for me, and if I knew someone that needed it, I would recommend what I got. I accidentally hit it once, and they're right on the money. I was out in the yard and I got a fire ant on my leg. A cop car came up. The officer wanted to know if I needed an ambulance. I said "No, I didn't push anything," and he said "Yeah, you did." I must have hit my bracelet with the electrical cord or something but didn't know it. But they were sending up help! I was happy with their service. If I had been in trouble I'd have appreciated it. They were there even when I even touched it and didn't mean to. They're very alert. I depend on it, and I wear it most of the time.

We found it at Costco and decided to get it for my parents. For a while, every time my mom leaned on the table the thing would go off. I called their 800 number and the guy gave me different things to try and fix the problem. In the end we just had to make the cord on the necklace shorter so it wouldn't dangle when she put it in her shirt. They've used it several times since getting it, usually they fall in the house and press the button to get help. Their response is always very quick and they've been helpful. We also love the fact tat when they call my parents can choose to either call us or call the paramedics. The button is very easy to use and it charges quickly. Whenever we have questions they answer them.

After I fell, my daughters looked things up on the internet, found the best company out there, and got it for me. I had to use it about two days after Christmas, on the 27 of December. I fell backwards when I was going into my house, I just lost my balance and went down. It was really cold out, 5 degrees below zero, and I didn't know what I was going to do. Thank god I had my medical alert with me, so I grabbed it and pushed the button. I also happened to have my cellphone on my pocket and used it to call my daughter. She called the fire department too and they told her that they were on their way already. If I hadn't had those two things I would've died, no one would've come to check in on me. It saved my life. I think that every elderly person that lives on their own should get one. Even if you have another person in the house with you, they're not always available to help you. It's worth it, there's no way to put a price on your life. I don't mind paying what I'm paying to have it.

The features, especially the GPS one, were an important part of my decision. From what I looked at, all of their features were excellent, so I picked them. I realize that there are other folk out there that also offer that, but I've been very happy with Medical Guardian. I like everything about it so far. Generally speaking, I make sure to wear it most of the time while I'm out and about and sometimes when I'm at home. Thus far their customer support has been good. I've gotten a great deal of support from them since the set up and they have been very responsive. It's not cheap though. I mean, I paid for a full year and I wish I had gotten some kind of discount on it since I'm a disabled vet, but anyway.

I got it since it allowed my mom to be independent and go out of the house on her own. She is able to go and be part of the community and still have some security if something were to happen. She has not had to use it, thank god. On a regular day she either goes to the grocery store or just stays at home to work in the yard or something. She wears the necklace but it's just very large. She's afraid that if other people see her wearing it they'd think she's handicapped and that's a problem for her. If she could have something smaller that was not as obvious, I think everything would be perfect. Right now I'm thinking about getting her to wear the watch, but it might still be a problem. Still, I think it's a fabulous device. They have been very helpful. They called us when they were setting things up in her home and were very patient and just excellent.

I picked them for my mother since I liked that it was based in the United States. That way they had English speaking people that we could understand easily. My mother doesn't really wear it much when she's around the house. When she walks outside to get the mail or something she takes it with her. She has fallen before while going for the mail so we're glad she does that. Though She finds it very difficult to carry the thing with her. She doesn't like wearing it around her neck since it bumps against her chest. When she tried just holding it, she accidentally set it off. If there was a way for her to have it in her pocket without it going off, that'd make it easier for her to carry it. They do seem to be readily available all the time.

I liked the pictures that I provided so I decided to go ahead and get it since I live on my own. The button is comfortable to wear, plus you have a station that you can use to speak to a live person in case you need to talk to someone. I've never placed a call or done a test run without getting a very polite and helpful person on the other side of the line. They're always very concerned about me. Honestly, I haven't had to use it, but it's a big comfort to have it with me. I know that if I need help, I'll be able to get it. If I'm away from my house and something were to happen to me, the GPS locator can find me.

I looked them up on the internet to see see if they were good. Since they were more highly rated than a lot of the other more expensive companies, I just went with Medical Guardian. They're always very courteous, nice, and polite. They try their best to help you out as much as possible. I have a problem with the necklace, it just goes off really easily. One time I was leaning on a counter while I was out shopping and the button notified them that I needed help when I didn't. That happens often and sometimes I can stop the alarm but some other times I can't do that. I'd rather have something that I can wear on my wrist so that it won't get in the way. Either that or shorten the neck cord, but I haven't been able to figure out how to do that. When I change the length, it always ends up going back to the same length it was before.

Last summer I had a fainting episode and my family started nagging me so I would get something of this nature. Since a friend had this system I decided to go with it. The button is easy to use but I really don't use it. I have taken it with me occasionally if I'm going out in the car. Still, they've responded whenever I call with the button to check in with them. Sometimes it surprises me that it takes them a few minutes to respond after I push it. Though when it comes to my interaction with them, things have been satisfactory. At the time I took the annual payment in order to get a discount, but I imagine their price is about the same as other companies.

I called around and since they had a reasonable pricing I got it for my elderly grandfather. It has been very useful since most of our family members are out of state. We had a couple of different options for what to give him. They have a wristband or a necklace and he wears whichever is more comfortable. They're both waterproof as well, so he doesn't have to take it off at all, which is great. The button is easy to use and they're very efficient. We don't have to contact them a million times just to make sure that they're doing their part. It has helped us on numerous occasions when he either fell or didn't feel well. Whenever there's an alert, they've notified me right away and send medical help his way almost immediately. They also call me when they've arrived at his home.

I did a lot of research and from all of them Medical Guardian was the best fit for me, especially since it works almost like a cellphone. Luckily I haven' had to use it, but I have a rheumatoid arthritis and have taken a couple of falls where I couldn't get back up on my own. There's always a chance that I'll fall again, and since my husband passed it's best for me to have this. The button is small enough to carry it comfortably, though I usually have the one that looks like a mini cellphone with me. I can take that anywhere I want and as long as I'm within a 640 ft range from it they'll be able to hear me if I hit the button. The price is good. It's like $39 a month and even if I don't use it much I'm grateful to have it if something happens.

At the time I just needed to have a medical alert system very badly. They were really the only service that I had information so I got it. It makes me feel very secure, I wear it all the time, except during the night that is. Usually I tie it to my walker, which is right next to me bed, so it's close to me all the time. They've saved my life twice already. On one occasion I had blood clogs in my lungs and knee. I fell on the floor and I couldn't breath well. I called them and they came here in a reasonable amount of time. They took me to the hospital and we got there in no time. The people that came were very knowledgeable and proficient. I wouldn't have made it if I hadn't had it. It really saved my life.

I picked them for my mother in law because of the coverage they have. She travels all the time to see her daughters and sons, so we really needed something that would be available no matter where she was. Be it the Midwest, Florida, Hawaii, or Alaska, we needed one unit that would work everywhere. We haven't had to use it but we haven't run into any glitches or problems with the system. When I've called them about different things, or when I just want to check in with them every month, they're always very helpful and pleasant. It is kind of expensive, but the comfort and security that we get with it is good.

We saw it on television, that was what hooked us. We got it mostly for my wife on account of how much she falls. She's totally blind and, if anything were to happen to me or to her, the GPS thing can pinpoint where we are and we can get help at any time. It's with us all the time, 24/7, and we've had no problems with it. When we have to call them, everybody has been very supportive. We've never had to use it and we're actually quite happy about that. I do think they're very trustworthy. Anytime we've tested it, it has worked alright. There's always somebody on the line right away and they ask you if there's a problem or if it's just a test. It's a good thing to have. I don't think you can put a value on it since it's like a lifeline for us.

I got something in the mail from them at the right time. Back then I was often alone at home, so when I got their thing in the mail I filled up the information and send it their way. When my son came back I told him about it and he agreed that it was a good idea so, whenever they reached out to us, we completed the sign up and got it. There was one time I had to use it when I fell outside. I couldn't really set off the alarm since the button was out of reach from the base, but I was able to get a little boy to help me out. He was walking by and I called him and gave him my button, told him to go in and just push it to get me some help. Within 10 minutes, they sent out the firefighters and they helped me out. They were here immediately. They are very reliable.

At the time I had a different service that would only work within my house. After reading their brochure I thought that if I was going to spend as much money as I was spending, I might as well get something that could go further than my home. That's why I decided to try them. I wear it around my neck all the time, but I'd like it to have a chain or something like that for the necklace instead of the black cord. It's not very attractive. I can take it with me wherever I go. If I go visit my daughters I can just notify them and plug the little receptor at their place. I can use it anywhere inside the United States and it'll work, it'll notify someone if I need help. Sometimes I forget to take the monitor with me whenever I go out though. I've been trying to get better about that lately but I guess that's the one thing I don't like about it. I haven't had any reason to call them. Though one time, after the electricity in my place went out, I wanted to ask some things about that. I called them with the button and they gave me a service number that I could call since it wasn't really an emergency. When I called them, they answered my questions and things were alright. I'm satisfied with it all.

I looked online and considered their reputation and all the feedback they had from consumer supports and such. I also looked at how easy the product was to use and how fast their response was before getting it. So far it has worked out great for me. They are always responsive and courteous. There was a time that I slip in the tub and it was difficult for me to get back up. I used Medical Guardian and fortunately they didn't have to send the emergency services my way, my wife was there and was able to help me up. The button is easy to use, though I wish that the battery would last longer so I wouldn't have to charge it as often.

My daughter picked it out while I was in the hospital. If I remember well, she said she picked them because they had a one time price instead of a monthly one. I actually took the button to the jeweler and had a permanent clip put on it. I also bought a nicer silver chain for it. It's a little irritating to wear sometimes, but it's better than anything. It works well in the shower. I've never had to use it for an emergency, but I wear it all the time and test it once a month. They've always been responsive when I do that. The only thing I have a bit of a problem with is the thing that hangs on the door with the extra key inside. It's kind of big and it bangs against the door every time I shut it. I think they could come up with a better design for it. Still, I'm happy with it.
