I did some research on the web and decided to get it for my mother in law. I had to call them about the device a while ago, mainly because my mother in law would not wear the necklace. They sent me a new product, one that can go in the shower with her and that she can use to speak with them. I really like it. It's there for her and she doesn't need to wear the lanyard if she doesn't want to. We just tested it and everything is good, the device hooks up well and it's reliable. They worked with me on the financing part of things. They gave me a better deal for it since I paid for a whole year instead of paying monthly. I was able to put it on a credit card and it just saved me money.

They had a lot of choices for the button and, since they also had the lock box, I just went with it. I haven't had to use it, but I feel much better having it on me, particularly when I'm walking around town by myself. I'm not too happy with the wristband since it keeps popping open. I'd like them to figure something out with the design or something so that it wouldn't happen. Maybe if they had something that would go through and snap it shut or something. That would also be nice to keep it from slipping around. I'd also like to be able to choose the size of the band so that it actually fits my wrist the right way. Still, I'm quite satisfied with it.

My daughter played a big part in me getting it since I live alone. She checked different companies first and then picked one out for me. I keep the button right by my bed and I feel comfortable with it. One time, in the middle of the night, it seemed like someone was trying to get into my house through the back door. I used the button to call them and their response was immediate. They sent two people out to check my backyard and the fence around my house to make sure nobody was out there. After that, they came to my door too let me know that everything was ok. They're really quick, precise, and very easy to understand. It's comforting to have it.

My daughter worked at Medical Guardian, that was mainly where I knew it from. She was very informative about the product and how it worked, so I just went ahead and bought it for my mother. Everything has gone exactly as my daughter described. Setting everything up was easy and they followed up with us after it was done to make sure things were alright. My mom set it off once and they were real prompt about notifying us about it. She has 3 different devices: the wrist button that' like a watch, the necklace, and a little unit thing. As far as I know, they're super easy to use. She can even take the necklace with her into the shower. She can also be very far from the main unit and still be able to call them. Everything is great as far as I'm concerned. It works perfectly for my mom.

I researched consumer reviews and reports on services like this and picked Medical Guardian for my parents. Actually, my 92 year old father is the one that uses it. Every time I've had to call customer service they've been very helpful and patient with us. Right now the device is acting a bit oddly. My father has actually been getting solicitation calls through the device itself, just like anyone else would through a cellphone or phone. I'm not sure if that's because there's a phone number associated with the button or because of some other reason, but we're trying to figure that out right now...

Recently I went through a divorce. Around that time a good friend of mine had a heart attack and that made me think about my own situation. I live alone and even though I'm in good health at my age, I thought I needed to have something to get help if anything happened. After a bit of research I found Medical Guardian and I decided to contact them and got it. I have not had to use it, but I wear it everyday and don't even notice that it's there. I drive a lot to go to work, so take it with me in case I ever need it. I also do my monthly checks and people are always nice. Anytime I had questions, they were always good about helping me and putting my worries at ease. I couldn't ask for anything more from them.

We've had to use it twice. My husband has had a stroke and he fell in his in his bedroom and I could not hear him because I was at the other end of the house and so he pushed that he was able to reach his necklace and he pushed a button and I heard the intercom then which is in our living room say you know help is on the way and then I ran in there and he was on the floor but had he not had that to push I don't know how long he would lay there. They're just very dependable always there and I'm so happy that we did this and now my husband is in a nursing home and now I wear one of the necklaces that we were given so I don't know if the if I keep both necklaces it's still the same price if I would send one back is it less price or.

I just saw the advertisements on TV and, since I was getting to a point where I needed them, I got it. I have the bracelet, the pendant, and a smaller unit that I can put in my purse. That one I carry with me when I'm away from home. They're all very simple and easy to assemble. I had an episode where my son needed help so I used it to call them. They were on the phone with me right away and stayed on the line. They made sure I was the right person and gave me the best service they could. As a senior citizen on a fixed income, this service is financially easier to pay for and manage. I feel very secure with it.

It was a combination of things that convinced me of getting this for my mother. Anytime I've talked to them they've answered my questions well. The people are also happy to help you run tests with it to make sure that it's all working. Even the salesman wasn't pushy at all, they let me make my own decision and gave me all the information that I needed to make it. The day that my mother fell and broke her arm, she was able to hit the button and call for help. I got a call from Guardian and a few minutes later I got a call from the local police saying that they had taken her to the hospital. I met them there and everything was alright. It worked like a charm and I was really glad that she had it.

I didn't really decide to get this, my brother did. I researched the top ten medical alert companies for myself. The top two were Medical Guardian and another one I can't remember. I gave my brother the name and information of the two and he chose Medical Guardian. The button is easy to charge and use. I use it all the time when I'm at home. Whenever I go out I make sure that I have it on me in case I don't have my cell phone on me. I sometimes put it under my clothes and the button gets pushed without a warning. They're always good about that when it happens. Whenever I call with questions, they answer them and are very polite. Whenever I've taken a fall, they've been there to help me.

I did research on a number of companies and looked at all the different options. In the end, Medical Guardian looked like the right company to go with. Most of the times that we've called Medical Guardian have all been by mistake, but they showed us how quick the can respond. The one time we did need them, they were very helpful. My wife had fallen during the night and they dispatched an ambulance to help us get her up and take her to the hospital. They were very responsive, courteous, and followed their protocol. It seems like it works well in different parts of the country and in different areas without any issues.

My daughter who lives in California went through the whole process of getting it and paying for it so I could have it. I guess she just found the one she wanted for me and called me to let me know that I was going to get it. I haven't used it. I have fallen a couple of times since I got it, but I've been able to get up myself so I never had to call them. On top of that, I spent most of the holidays with my daughter in California. While I was there I just assumed the button wouldn't work, so I just didn't use it. When I'm in town I have it on me all the time though. I called one time by mistake and they were very fast in calling me. They asked me if I was alright and I just told them it had been a mistake, they were very kind. I'm sure they will be very alert if something happens. I mean, they were right on it when I pushed the button by mistake, so I know that they'll call me immediately if anything happens. It's a way for someone to keep an eye on me in case something happens, though I wish I didn't have to have it. Hopefully I won't have to use it.

I investigated several companies and settled on this one as the best one for the family member that needed it, my mother in law. She uses it on a daily basis and really enjoys having it. Customer support has never failed to answer the phone when we call and make sure to send someone when something happens. The button always works. She fell once and was unable to get up while she was home alone. She used the necklace and summoned an ambulance and police officers. Since we had the lock box, they were able to get in without any problems. They helped her get up and checked to make sure she was ok. Fortunately things were fine. They've been a wonderful company to work with. They're always very customer friendly.

There were 3 or 4 different companies that I was looking at when looking for a device for my mother in law. When we called them we just liked the way they answered our questions and they also gave us references of people that were happy with their service. Their price was similar to the other services out there so, in the end, it just came down to a gut feeling. Medical Guardian looked like it had the best customer service, so we got it and paid $500 for the whole year. It has worked out so far. One time my mother in law was on the highway when her car broke down. Since she doesn't have a cellphone, she pressed the button to get help. They called her right away and got her connected to another family member. The button works well, but there's a complication with the design itself. I mean, you have the base unit and the wrist one, and for it to work you have to bring the base unit wherever you go. You have to remember to put it in your pocket or purse and it'd be nice if you didn't have to. It'd be better if it could all be done with just the wrist unit. Still, my mother in law is happy with it and very comfortable, so she'd definitely going to keep it.

I called 2 or 3 different companies and they were the ones that gave me the best price for the features that I was looking for. That's why I bought it for my parents. They call in periodically to check in with us and have some features that I like a lot, like the keypad so that the emergency crew can get into the house without breaking down the door. My dad used it when he was stranded in the yard and couldn't get help. He pressed the button and they responded right away. Not only did the emergency crew show up, but me, my husband, and my sister were all alerted. We all went over to help him out.

I didn't actually made the decision to get it. After my husband passed, my grandson was worried about me living alone, so he got it for me. I've never had to use it but it went off once when I was getting my car serviced. I was at the car agency when all of a sudden I heard a voice calling me. I guess I bumped the button and it alerted them about it. I just said that it was a mistake, they made sure I was alright, and things were fine. I don't use it a lot, I just keep it charging by my bed and night and occasionally have it with me during the day. I love the service and I'm happy with it. The only thing is that the button is rather large, it's hard to carry it with me.

There were several reasons why I ended up picking them. In general I thought that the wrist and the other apparatuses were good, I liked the fact that they could help me if I fell. Besides, they gave you a good price too have it for two people. In general though, it was important to me that if I fell I could have a way to contact someone to help me, that's why I got it. I've accidentally pushed the button a couple of times and I got a call immediately. All I had to do was let them know that it was an accident and the person on the other side was very professional and efficient about it. I was happy with that. The only problem I have with the equipment is that the bracelet device is kind of ugly. I wish that there was some kind of expansion band or something that'd be easier to get on and off. It's just too long right now and if I cut it it's too tight. It's just hard to keep it fastened. Still, I haven't shopped around for something less expensive since I'm just very happy with them.

I looked at all of the services out there and this one was the one I ended up picking. I'm retired and I have very bad knees, so I have this on me whenever I have to go down to my basement or when I go out to take the garbage out. Thankfully I haven't had to use it yet. Every time I've called to test the button they're right there and are very pleasant. The button hangs around my neck and a lot of times I worry that it is going to get pressed when I lean against the washing machine or something. That's why I prefer using the wrist one. Right now my contract is up for renewal and I'm questioning whether or not I should go with them again, it's just very expensive for me.

I'm elderly and live alone, so I figured I needed to have something in case I needed it. I've actually fallen downstairs before and I wish I had had the device then. Fortunately I have not had to use it yet, but having it gives me security. There was a bit of a problem when I first got it but they called me and we figured things out. They got everything back up and working right away. The support that I've gotten has been very good. Whenever I call with a question they're more than happy to answer me and help me out with any problem. I have been more than satisfied with it. Though...I'm not sure if I can take the monitor out with me or if it's all just for the house.

My family did all the work of researching and looking around until they decided that Medical Guardian was the best way to go. I wear the pendant and make sure that the unit is charged up all the time. Whenever I go out of the house, I take both of them with me. I'm very pleased with it. I hope I don't have to use it, but if I do I feel confident in that I'll get a quick response from them. About a week ago I actually pushed the button on the charger accidentally and they called me immediately to see if there was an emergency. It's good and does what it's supposed to do. There's no way to measure just how valuable this is. I came close to dying a couple of years ago because I didn't have a way to contact help. With this, my family doesn't have to worry about me having another heart attack.

I checked several companies before going with Medical Guardian. It had the features that we needed, including a button that my dad could wear in the shower and a lock box so that emergency services could come in to help him. That, plus the availability of the system and the price convinced us of getting it. The device is working alright. We've had to use it twice so far. On both occasions he fell and couldn't get a hold of me, even though I live on the floor above him. He used the button on his neck to call for help and somebody called him immediately. On one of those occasions I was out of town, so they went ahead and sent somebody out there to take care of the situation. On the other occasion, since I was there I was able to just go over and help him up. Both times they did exactly what I pay them to do: they contacted my father or I very quickly and handled the situation in whichever way my father or I asked them to. They were also very calm about it all, there was no panic. It was nice to know that they were right on top of things as soon as something happened. It has given me the ability to leave my home without having to worry about my father.

I had tried a couple other services and had a bunch of bad experiences with them. They would call my son all the time to notify him of falls when that wasn't necessary and he was getting quite upset about it. After those experiences I decided that I wanted something that wouldn't notify him unless they had checked in with me to make sure it was an actual emergency. That's how I ended up going with Medical Guardian. I have some concerns with the lanyard though. It doesn't stay in place, I have to keep tightening it during the day and I've set it off accidentally a couple of times because it gets too low. I mean, it worked that time it went off and they were very nice about it all, but I'm not too happy with the lanyard.

We picked it since it had good ratings and they offered a wireless connection. We didn't need to have a landline to have it all plugged in. The wireless connection is awesome, it has a backup battery system in it. If the phone line goes down or if there's any fail in that system, we can still communicate and get help through the wireless connection. When we got it, customer support talked us through everything and made sure things were working correctly. They even stayed with us while we tested the button to make sure it worked. We actually tried it twice just to make sure that there were no glitches or bugs in the system. It was all fully functional when we finished. When we test it, we get an answer in a good amount of time. The button is just comfortable and everything is very user friendly and very easy to set up. I like having a person available all the time that can help my mother in law if she needs it.

My husband died recently and my son, who lives in Portland, didn't want me to live alone. He's a doctor and researched a lot until he found Medical Guardian. We spoke to the salesperson and she was very informative and answered all of our questions. In the end, we chose to go with them. When I received the things and had to set it up, they were very accommodating and helped me a lot with that. For my monthly checks, they are always on the ball with it and answer my questions right away. The button is very comfortable. I take one with me when I go out and having it gives me the confidence and security that I need. I'm a very active person, I do gardening and walk a lot. I looked around online a little. They gave me roughly the same price quotes as another similar service, but when I called their salesman was just awesome. For that reason I decided to go ahead and get it for my parents. They gave us the option of having the bracelet or the necklace and gave us exactly what we wanted in the end. They also sent us the necklace as well and told us to just keep it, they didn't charge us for it. They think it's great. We barely got it, so we haven't had to use it. I've had to call them a couple of times and the girls that have answered my calls have just been the sweetest, kindest, most patient girls ever. I researched all the medical alert things online and Medical Guardian seemed like the best. The button can go in the shower and it covers you everywhere because of the GPS. It's a very solid product and they even give you the option between the arm band and the necklace. I've been very satisfied. I wear it when all the time: when I'm in the pool, when I do aerobics outside, or even when I'm doing nothing. I haven't had to use it since I got it, but I've tested it and they've called me back really fast. I don't know how long it would take them to get to me though. Still, it makes me feel secure to have it around. I fell right before getting the button and it's very scary situation to be in, so having it is great.

Thank you for the review! One thing to keep in mind though. While our products are highly water resistant, we don't recommend their use in a pool or the ocean due to the potential negative effects of chlorine and salt water on our equipment. Other than that, we're happy that you are enjoying your experience with Medical Guardian!

I went online and looked up all the different medical alert companies. They had a good rating, I think 9.5 out of 10, so I gave them a call. The salesman that spoke with me wasn't too pushy and he was just very honest and nice. I liked that and it made me happy, so I went with it. I'm fairly new to the service, I've only had it for a couple of months, so I haven't had to use it. I check on the equipment about once a month. I have the bracelet on all day and keep the neck piece by my bedside and close to me when I shower. If I go out I take the base with me. It's just always near me. It gives me and my children peace of mind since I'm 85 years old. If I need to get up in the middle of the night or need to go somewhere I know it's there for me. I think the price is very reasonable, especially since I paid for the year in advance and got a discount. I've always wondered though, if somebody came in to help me, would they have to break the door to come in and help me?

They seemed to have everything that I wanted, including good customer service, at a reasonable price. It's not the cheapest option, but it has been the one that gives me the most safety. I haven't had to use it yet, thank goodness, but we've tested it to make sure it worked. They called us right away and made sure that everything was fine and that there was no mistake. When I received the package everything I needed was there as well as some other very thoughtful things. I got the lock box, the wristbands, the necklace, etc. There are a number of ways you can wear the devices, which is very user friendly. The only thing that I don't like is that if I'm in a different room from the base unit I have to yell for them to hear me. Though I have the feeling that they will be there for me if I actually needed it.

Brian, thank you for the kind review. You are correct about how our units work if our operators can't hear you. If you push your button and cannot communicate with an operator for whatever reason, our operators will assume you are having an emergency and proceed to call your primary phone number. If you are still unreachable at that point, they will move to contact EMS to dispatch to your location. Feel free to reach back out with any other questions you may have and have a lovely day!

So far everything has been wonderful from initial sign up to setting up the unit (which I did myself) and testing all the equipment. Unlike my last medical alert company which required a long contract and also required a technician to hook up the equipment (which had to be hooked up to my modem) and then the testing which was always a nightmare! Medical Guardian came with additional items, a lockbox for my key, a waterproof shower unit to attach to the wall down by the floor in case of a fall and then the regular items. Whenever I tested with my previous alert company they never answered or responded so I would usually have to hang up. When a smoke detector they provided went off I had to call them to tell them it wasn't an emergency. They didn't even know it had given off an alarm. When my contract was up and I tried to cancel I got serious high pressure trying to make me stay and I was having to get very angry with the person. I just did a monthly test with Medical Guardian and I got an answer in a reasonable length of time. I AM VERY HAPPY AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MEDICAL GUARDIAN!

My daughter was the one that took care of ordering everything. I've had the service for a short amount of time, but I had to use it already. One day I had a very severe shoulder pain out of nowhere. I called them and they came here immediately. Since we had the lock key box outside they were able to get in easily and everything went smoothly. They took me to the hospital and I was there for three days. Everything was perfect, I was very happy about that. The only thing is that I've gotten a little scared since I've woken up several times to see the red light flashing when I hadn't pushed the button or anything. I've called them about it but they haven't really fixed it. The red light is still flashing all the time. That's no good when the thing is right next to me when I sleep. That's my only complain though. I feel safe, especially since I'm alone a lot of the time.

We searched on the internet and found it. We've only had it for a month and haven't really had to use it yet but it's nice to know that it's there if we need it. Customer service has been very responsive to our needs. They were really good about helping us change some of the initial settings that we had. The only problem we ran into was with the necklace piece. The cord of the thing was too long for my wife at first. It would hang so low that if she leaned it would bump against things and set the alert off. We ended up tying a knot in it to make it shorter and fix that. Still, we're pretty happy with the service.

My mother has had multiple falls and since she lives alone with my father it was really hard for us to take care of her. He is also older and is going to the oncologist. Medical Guardian provided me with a comfortable solution since they can call me directly to make sure that things are okay. The thing is portable and she always has it with her at all times. I just wish it was waterproof so that she could actually shower with it rather than having to get out of the shower to grab it. Actually, a couple of weeks ago my mother fell in the shower. She was laying there for about six hours because there was no one there to help her. Guardian actually called me about it and called the paramedics as well to make sure that everything was okay. The person they sent tried to speak to my mother but since she doesn't speak English they actually got someone who could speak Spanish to her. Thank goodness it was all pretty prompt and my mother was ok. They actually adjust their program to be able to handle people that don't speak the language. They are very calm and courteous. With my mom being 85 I really appreciate them being so patient with her. I'm just extremely happy with it. It gives me peace of mind and now I'm calmer knowing that somebody is always going to have her back when anything happens. What I'm paying for it is nothing compared to the peace of mind that I get.

I was actually looking around online and found them. I got a call from a representative and we talked about everything. Since I liked what I heard, I went ahead and signed up. I haven't actually had to use it, thank god, but I have called to test it and make sure it works. When I called for that customer service was good about it. They were very cautious and made sure that I didn't have an actual emergency. They also call me occasionally to make sure that I'm satisfied with the service and that everything is fine. I wear the device every day and I put on the bracelet piece at night. The necklace is very comfortable. Sometimes the thing has to ring a couple of times before someone picks up but it's still pretty quick. I was surprised when I found out the cost of the service. I was hesitant since I had thought the price would be high but I found out it's actually very affordable.

I got it in case I need it since I'm by myself a lot of the time. My wife works so the alert button is there so my son can come and help me. I have grown to trust them a lot. Whenever I call they get me the same manager and don't question me much. They are even willing to take the product back and give me a full reimbursement at any time if I ever want to discontinue the service. They always seem willing to answer any question I have. They're there to help me and always encourage me to test it at least once a month to make sure the device is working. I know that if something comes up later on, if I have an emergency or a crisis, I can give them a call with the button. I'm thankful that nothing has happened yet where I needed to use it, but I'm glad to have it if the need arises. Their rates are excellent and it has been worth the money that I spent on it. They've been very helpful.

I had just fallen over in my apartment and it took three and a half hours of me yelling to get my neighbors to help me. They picked up the spare key, opened the door, and helped me to my bed, but I learned my lesson then. I didn't want to go through that ever again, so I went ahead and got it. The pendant is working for me and I'm very happy with the service so far. I haven't had to use it for an emergency yet but I have called in to confirm with two different people that the device is activated and working properly. If I need to use it for some reason I can just call them from the system and they'll come and find me. I've already paid them for the next 3 months but I do hope I never have to use it. The support team has been very helpful in getting everything set up and activated. I don't have to worry anymore about passing out, falling, and hitting my head on the floor. I'm hoping I won't need to use their services, but when I feel really dizzy I can just use it to call an ambulance and get picked up. I don't have to figure out how to get help when I get a dizzy spell.

I researched them and Medical Guardian just had a lot more to offer than the other services. I had to use it once when I had really bad chest pains. I couldn't get up from my chair so I pushed the button. The lady that called me was really nice and had a very pleasant voice. I just explained to her what was happening and she called the emergency people. She also offered to stay on the line with me until they got there. The emergency personnel was there very quick and got there before she had even contacted the people in my emergency list. It's very simple to use, there's no viruses or computers or anything that you have to try and hook it up to. It's just a little tiny box.

I saw it had a range of 270 ft which sounded ok and they had one device that I could carry with me, so I went with it. I've had the thing installed just some 3 or 4 days ago so I'm just starting to use it. So far it has been good. I got the thing that goes around my neck and the little modem thing that I can carry in my pocket, which is great because I'm kind of blind. Both are easy to manage though I'm still getting used to using it. Still, just the other day I went out and it was good to know that if I needed help all I needed to do was press the button. It gives me a lot of mobility. Their customer service people were very good about walking us through the set up of the thing and explaining everything.

I wanted to have something that I could take into the shower with me. Since I couldn't do that with the other one, this seemed like a much better fit for me. I haven't had to use it yet, which is great, but I've tested it and I know it works. I wear it every day and at night. I just don't take it off because I like knowing that it's there and I know I could fall at any time. I'm really happy with the device because I know I can just push the button to get the paramedics here. The lock box is also there and I know that this way they won't have to break down my door to get to me. I know it's going to protect me and I'm really happy to have this as a connection with emergency services. It's a pleasure to talk with their customer service people. If I have any questions I can just call and they'll answer them. They give me the answers that I need and don't seem to be in a hurry to get you off the line. They'll take their time to explain things to me. It makes me happy to get that kind of service. It's a little pricey for someone like me who's on social security, but I think it's important enough to cut back on spending somewhere else so I can get the protection. It gives me a sense of peace to know that I'm protected and that my people can get here as soon as possible

Since my husband travels all the time and I had had an episode before I got it, I decided to get something like this. We did a bit of research and I liked the fact that I didn't have to sign a contract. I had been having some health issues so, if those issues changed, that meant that I could cancel and I wouldn't be forced to stay because of some long term contract. I also liked the ease of everything, it was all pretty straightforward. I haven't had to use it but I do carry it with me at all times. I have the one that has a GPS so even if I'm out shopping or anything and I have an emergency, I could dial for someone to help me right there. From the testing I've done and stuff I know that the device works and that someone will answer right away. It makes me feel a lot more safe, especially during this time of the year when I shop and there's a lot of car accidents. I haven't found any hidden anything. Everyone I've spoken to has been very helpful and courteous. My experiences have been positive.

I saw it on the internet and decided to get it since it looked reasonable and the price was good. So far it has been pretty good for us. My husband uses the watch all the time. He has had the thing for two months or so but we haven't had to use it yet. They have been very attentive to us, especially when we set up the system and everything. My husband is a little deaf so he couldn't understand everything he had to do to set up everything. It didn't take him long to get everything set up, which I thought was very good. He did it himself. It's a comfort to have that device so he can get immediate care from emergency services.

I live way out in the country and I needed something that could ensure the EMS could find me. Since it gave me freedom to get out of the house with the range it has and it was the best I could find, I went with them. I can go out and walk in the yard, be in the shop, in my barn, or in the tractor with it. They mailed me everything within a couple of days. Since it took me a bit to call them, they called me instead and we activated the device in a very short time. Normally I spend most of the morning out, so I have the little necklace with me and spend some time in the yard. I can just mow the grass or rake the leaves before I leave the house. When I do that I take the other unit and put it in my belt. It does what it needs to do. It will notify the EMS automatically and I know it'll do that because we tested the thing. The first time it rang about 5 times and then I got an answer. I told the folks there that it was just a test. They still asked me if I was ok to make sure it wasn't an emergency. I was just very pleased with the product and how it performed then. The cost is right as well. It's competitively priced and it checked off all the things that I wanted. It gives me the security that I need to go outside the house knowing that I can just push the button to get help.

I was widowed last year after 54 years of marriage. I had never lived alone before since I went from my childhood home, to college, and then married. Since I also had a history of very bad falls the idea of living alone was really intimidating. I was afraid I would fall over and not be able to get back up. I know that if I wear this device around my neck or on my wrist I'm no more than a few second away from getting help. That is huge for me in this process of learning how to live on my own. It gives me all kinds of confidence because I can go do work in the yard, do things around the house, and just move around without the fear of falling or being injured and not being able to get back up for hours. I have not had to use it yet, but I have tested it. Everybody that I've dealt with has been very supportive and knowledgeable. Their response time is less than 5 seconds, it's amazing. So far I've had no problems with them. Of course, it'd be nice if it was cheaper, but it's just a little over a dollar a day so it's pretty reasonable.

I wanted to get something that I could wear around my wrist, plus my son in law did a bunch of research and found this one that has GPS in it. On a typical day I wear it all day while I'm home. I can take out the bigger piece with me when I go away from home and if I push the button it'll know where I am. Last week I passed out but pushed the button. Apparently they tried to call me but I couldn't respond so they called my son who is just 3 doors away from me. He got here before the emergency people did. They also contacted my daughter. They were very prompt. It is worth the money, had I not had it when I fell I would still be on the floor.

The person that I spoke to shared with me that they get to see the owner of the company going out and about in the office where they work. That gave me the feeling that this was like a family business and that they were very much involved with everything which was enormously important to me. I have no particular medical needs at the moment, but I decided that since I'm nearly 84 it would be perfectly rational for me to get it for my children's sake, so that they're at ease. I decided the device should be with me all the time, so I wear it when I exercise, when I go into the shower, etc. I have the charging unit beside my bed so that I can always reach it. I had to send it back because they sent me the wrong unit in the first place. They apologized of course and sent me the one I wanted which was more expensive. They even went and charged me for the first month as if I had kept the cheaper unit because of that. They were extremely apologetic and truly friendly, I feel like they're my best neighbors. I can buzz them, which I have done as practice, and I can speak with somebody. I'm very happy about it since they're available and they can contact my daughter who lives very close by.

When I was checking around it was the only one that could handle GPS. With t hat I could go anywhere anytime and still be called. There was a different that was local but if you wanted to get the GPS it would cost a lot more, so I went with Medical Guardian. I've never used it, but I wear it 24 hours a day, it makes me feel more comfortable to have it there. I never had any trouble. We turned it on real quick and easy and did the test. I figured that at the end of the next month I'll push the button and try it out again, but it seems to work just fine and I feel comfortable with that. As far as I know everything is great. As I said, I feel comfortable since I'm home alone and I occasionally go walking on the golf course with my dogs. I feel like it's a good way to make quick calls for help since it's harder to get up when you get more mature.

I bought it for my mother since she had just recently had a fall and didn't have anything to help her at the time. She couldn't call anybody and if it hadn't been for a family member that was in the house, she would've been in the floor for several hours. She wears the device every day, though she hasn't had a time to use it yet. We haven't had any equipment issues or anything and as far as I know from the test, it's working fine. Customer service has been very helpful and told me exactly what to expect. They walked me through the set up process and answered all my questions. Everybody has been very helpful and were on it. Thus far everything has been fine.

It was the first thing that came up when I was looking for a system for my mom. There's really nothing special about our days. We used to have the device that detects falls but we kept getting false alarms on it since it was so sensitive. We switched over to the one where she has to push the button if she falls. She hasn't had to use it yet but she thinks that it will be alright. Her fingers are numb now but she thinks she'll be able to push the button if she has to. Everybody has been really nice since we got started. They've been really good about he false alarms and everything. We are happy with it.

When I first got it, they were very helpful and went through all the steps with me. Originally I went with the regular button, the one that's just for when you stay home. Since I'm more active I decided to switch to Active Guardian. I made a mistake the other day though. I had to go get an MRI, so I put the device in my walker's basket. I never realized that the little squares in the basket were just the right size for the thing to fall through and I just lost it. I tried calling them to get a replacement but at that time they were closed. Afterwards I was able to get them to replace it for me and I'm waiting to get another one. I wish they had a separate phone line for emergencies that are not related to the button pressing. It seems that everything goes to the same line. On top of that, the replacement is $350. I wish it wasn't quite that expensive, especially since I'm sure I'm not the only person that has lost one. Other than that I'm satisfied with it, they are very trustworthy.

When I was researching it, the person that I talked to on the phone was very courteous and sounded very honest. When comparing the prices, some of the other companies would charge over a hundred dollars, especially with all the whistles and other features. Medical Guardian was the cheapest, $70 as the young man told me, so I went with it. I wear it 24 hours a day and I'm still very mobile. I drive my car, go to town, go to church, etc. So far I haven't had any incident, thank goodness, but I feel comfortable knowing that it's there. If something were to happen to me, if I fall or something, I would have it at hand. Being 83 years of age, being protected is a great thing.

In all honesty we haven't had this for very long. We did our initial testing when we installed it, but we haven't even had it for long enough to do the second monthly test. I have talked to some people when I had questions and everybody was very nice, helpful, and courteous. When we first got it we did have a component missing, but I just called them and they rushed to get it to me within 2 days. The device itself is really nice, it's not big an ugly like you would expect a medical alert bracelet to be and my mom doesn't mind wearing it. Thank God we haven't had to use it, but the idea is that it's there for her safety and comfort.
