As a property manager I’ve had my homes covered with American. For several years repairs where completed timely….not so much anymore. I waited 6 weeks for a microwave to be repaired. Now I’m waiting 7 weeks for a n Air Conditioning unit, I would like to switch to another warranty company BUT WHO ???

We filed a claim for our AC failing to work. It took 2 days before I even received confirmation that they were working on the claim. I pay extra for the AC coverage. That should be a 24 hour coverage.

During a dangerous heat wave, they have delayed responding by three days, and are now claiming that it will take another five days to repair our A/C. The service technician explained that the problem is the warranty company (FAHW), not the parts or service. Do not use them, they will put you and your family at risk.

Please be advised, the condenser fan motor is expected to arrive between June 29, 2021 - July 1, 2021. up until now good BUT THER ARE USING nana HOME SERVICES which doesn't have tecks for dallas/ft worth tx. nana failed to show last Friday from 4 to 8 pm and again today from 8-noon. don't buy this warranty co until u verify which service co will service you..had Sears come out here 3 times with good service and kept apps.

It is the worst company when it comes to home warranty.I have been waiting for two weeks now trying to get my AC done and all I get is the run around. They like to take your money for a service charge but don’t like to get the job done.

Horrible experience don't waste your money, I am paying monthly the dues but when it came to my first claim, I had to pay 75$ for every single thing that is not working in my stove because it's different clain This is SCAM HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY like i did, no good customer service, I give them zero star

Very disappointed 😞 After renewing policy I made claim on hot water tank. A simple hot water tank replacement ended up costing me a lot of money. I ended up paying $425 out of pocket.

Terrible service and poor communication. Still waiting after 2 months to have our dishwasher replace and oven fixed, and we still don't have firm dates. Many, many calls to customer service have not resolved the problem. We will never use this company again

Read The small print before you renew your warranty with First American Home Warranty. I was told that appliances were covered under my plan, as it turns out your MAJOR appliances are NOT covered, such as your refrigerator, washer, dryer, but your microwave is.

They're a fraud. They just hook you up with a technician. Which we can easily find on google or any local please. They charge you $800+ and then when you need them, the technician would come to the property and give you a $1000+ estimate and state that the warranty will NOT cover it... WTF is the warranty for then. its a fraud people!!!

Fail a total fail. Called with a work order on plumbing June 3, They sent a plumber on July 29th. The plumber did not have the right tools and did not come back. It is now Aug 10. Well over 60 days and no service. This it the worst service and qualified for worst home warranty firm ever.

Terrible company! We have been without AC for three weeks now. We make 6 calls a day and we get told they are waiting on a report. Additionally, when you do speak to someone they are not American and cannot be understood. They say they will call you back but they never do. Do not waste your money on this company.

1 Star...only because 0 was not an option! Difficult to deal with, no callbacks, texts or emails from the company when there is a claim. No service provided 4 days after I made a claim. They use shoddy contractors. Worst company ever. Stay away.

Opened a request back in 9/2019 and over 7 months, still not resolved. Technician came to my home for over 9 visit trying to fix my ref. and only get worse. Agent is not responsive to provide options. left message and no call back. The service suck and i dont think i would buy home insurance again , at least not with First American.

Would not recommend this company. I had them for 2 different homes. They make every excuse to not cover a repair. First was a furnace, they said it was old so they'll only cover half the cost. Second was plumbing. Said was not normal wear and tear. To me it's a waste of money to have this warranty company .

This is a Terrible Company. Very Rude Customer and there management team is Awful. I will be sending a letter to the State Attorney General Office about this Company. I do not know how there rating is 7.5 Do not use this company. There Contractor do not show up for appointments. Stay away from this Company. Real Estate Broker beware.

if I could do negative stars I would. We have had our thermostat go out 3 times and now they "supervisor" tells me what is your problem the heat works now. My problem is there is an issue which is causing the thermostat and the unit to not talk they don't care and I went without heat for 4 days with a 10 month old in the house.

Totally agree with all the previous bad reviews. Plus they will send you an invoice for nonperformance job. They send out people can't fix your problem when I call an handy man, he fix it within 10 mins. Bad performance bad customer service but excellent money collection. Don't waste your money.

I had coverage on my rental property for 2 1/2 years. They send the most unprofessional unqualified people. They give you the run around every repair. Rarely cover anything. Never cover replacement only crappy repairs that continue to break. It is the biggest scam! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

TE-Gabriel C allowed a company that took over a month and a half to fix a dish washer that is still not fixed!!! He was rude and would not even send the $74 part necessary to fix the dishwasher. I would have given First American 5 stars until I saw and heard with my own ears how little they care about customers been with them for years.

Consumer beware! We went 10 days taking cold showers and then ended up paying $550 out of pocket plus the $75 service fee. Don’t be fooled thinking you’re lessening your risk of a big unexpected expense. Wasted our money for six years. Stick with your local contractors. These insurance companies are a scam.

This company should be avoided - as they don't care about their Customers. The vendors they use are not experienced in their work. They send HVAC / Heating and Cooling company to fix my dishwasher - so the job does not get done right- and I have to pay $75 plus the hefty premium. STAY AWAY FROM them.

There are no contractor in your area and when i signed up for the warranty plan they told me they several contractors in my area. What is the next step for me now fix it myself and cancel the warranty plan?

I used to have this. I cancelled it because I had a leak under my sink and they never sent anyone. Then they charged me some fees for canceling. They didn't even care that my kitchen floor was ruined. This is a scam. They just want your money. You are better off having a savings account just for home repairs.

I put in a request for my air conditioning to be repaired. It is 100 degrees today and they are telling me I can get it repaired until tomorrow. They are terrible. I will call a service tec and cancel my service. Their option is to give me 150.00 towards a 500.00 portable air conditioner. Who can wait 48 hours in 100 degree weather.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. Best they could offer when air-con went out for over a week in the AZ Summer was $50 for a fan. The company are aware of heart issues that the tenant has but refused to budge on their fan offer. When asked for a cheap hotel they flatly refused. Don’t do it, this company is a rip-off.

Been dealing with the same issue for almost a year with no resolution. Multiple opinions. I would recommend finding a different home warranty company to work with. Apparently they just try break you down so bad that you just give in and have to walk away from what is right. So sad.
