Horrible Service. I have a broken dishwasher and the appointment they gave is 2 weeks out. What are we to do ? I will get it fixed and then what. You pay home warranty using escrow how do we dispute bad service. If there is someone review please refund the money we paid for warranty so we can a aleast get our own contractor to pay for it.

I called to fix my covered a/c, specifically disconnect box is covered. I spoke with the compnay who said my 2-3 year old a/c needs upgrades and was not considered normal wear and tear and refused to cover any of the repair. Horrible company. I am actually still onhold after 1 hour and 1 minute. Go elsewhere.

Hi Steve. According to our records, you placed a claim on June 12, 2023, for your air conditioner not cooling. South Texas Air Force AC and Heating (South Texas) was dispatched and reported finding a shorted-out capacitor as well as a warped and melted disconnect box. South Texas replaced the capacitor however, they indicated the melted disconnect box was due to a power surge. Under the provisions of your home warranty contract, under Limits of Liability Number Three, we only cover failures which are the result of normal wear and tear. As such, on June 14, 2023, coverage for replacement of the disconnect box was denied. On June 20, 2023, in the interest of customer service, EMS HVAC was assigned to provide a second opinion and they will be contacting you directly for scheduling.

Stay away! I have had open warranty repair issues not fixed for over 6 months, passed around to multiple repair companies, mass confusion and empty promises from First American. Every customer rep and supervisor who say they call back never have in over 6 months! This is probably the worst company of any kind that I have ever dealt with.

Claimed it wasn't wear and tear or water breaking down pipe in my leaking pipe. Nown issue in my area. Wouldn't cover took my money. Said it was bent to the side and caused the leak. Faucet separated from house due to poor installation and slowly broke down from the inside not a bend no flairing bend in pipe ect where the leak was.

We have been without heat since after Christmas. Contractor sent out left Furnace apart and never called nor communicated. Opted for Cash out option after Contractor came back with extravagant non-covered charges and going on week 3 with no response. Small kids with no heat for going on 3-months. Do not recommend.

Terrible to deal with, most of their contractors don't show, show and you never hear from them again or have no clue what they are doing. Do not recommend even if the warranty is given to you with a home purchase as you will pay the service fee and spend hours of your time chasing answers down.

I had requested a call back from the supervisor to complain about overcharge. I was promised the callback in 24 hours. 28 days have passed still no callback. I have called in 7 times in the meantime. Each time they tell me, someone will reach back in 24 hours.

As a property manager I’ve had my homes covered with American. For several years repairs where completed timely….not so much anymore. I waited 6 weeks for a microwave to be repaired. Now I’m waiting 7 weeks for a n Air Conditioning unit, I would like to switch to another warranty company BUT WHO ???

We filed a claim for our AC failing to work. It took 2 days before I even received confirmation that they were working on the claim. I pay extra for the AC coverage. That should be a 24 hour coverage.

During a dangerous heat wave, they have delayed responding by three days, and are now claiming that it will take another five days to repair our A/C. The service technician explained that the problem is the warranty company (FAHW), not the parts or service. Do not use them, they will put you and your family at risk.

up until now good BUT THER ARE USING nana HOME SERVICES which doesn't have tecks for dallas/ft worth tx. nana failed to show last Friday from 4 to 8 pm and again today from 8-noon. don't buy this warranty co until u verify which service co will service you..had Sears come out here 3 times with good service and kept apps.

Very disappointed 😞 After renewing policy I made claim on hot water tank. A simple hot water tank replacement ended up costing me a lot of money. I ended up paying $425 out of pocket.

Read The small print before you renew your warranty with First American Home Warranty. I was told that appliances were covered under my plan, as it turns out your MAJOR appliances are NOT covered, such as your refrigerator, washer, dryer, but your microwave is.

They're a fraud. They just hook you up with a technician. Which we can easily find on google or any local please. They charge you $800+ and then when you need them, the technician would come to the property and give you a $1000+ estimate and state that the warranty will NOT cover it... WTF is the warranty for then. its a fraud people!!!

Fail a total fail. Called with a work order on plumbing June 3, They sent a plumber on July 29th. The plumber did not have the right tools and did not come back. It is now Aug 10. Well over 60 days and no service. This it the worst service and qualified for worst home warranty firm ever.

Would not recommend this company. I had them for 2 different homes. They make every excuse to not cover a repair. First was a furnace, they said it was old so they'll only cover half the cost. Second was plumbing. Said was not normal wear and tear. To me it's a waste of money to have this warranty company .

if I could do negative stars I would. We have had our thermostat go out 3 times and now they "supervisor" tells me what is your problem the heat works now. My problem is there is an issue which is causing the thermostat and the unit to not talk they don't care and I went without heat for 4 days with a 10 month old in the house.

TE-Gabriel C allowed a company that took over a month and a half to fix a dish washer that is still not fixed!!! He was rude and would not even send the $74 part necessary to fix the dishwasher. I would have given First American 5 stars until I saw and heard with my own ears how little they care about customers been with them for years.

Consumer beware! We went 10 days taking cold showers and then ended up paying $550 out of pocket plus the $75 service fee. Don’t be fooled thinking you’re lessening your risk of a big unexpected expense. Wasted our money for six years. Stick with your local contractors. These insurance companies are a scam.
