The first time I used them the customer service was horrible but the next time it was a much better experience. The service has be good. This last experience they did great getting people out there in a timely manner.

I think they are the most credible company, comparing all the existing companies. The response times are pretty good, though sometimes it takes time for the engineer to order the aprt once they come to the house.

Overall I would say they've done a pretty good job. They've acted pretty quick and within a day you have whatever repairs done. Most of the time all the expenses were covered by the warranty.

I would like them to be a little bit more clear under warranty package what is covered. They had to come out twice for my hot water heater. I just think that she could have handled it the first time.

Customer service is not really that helpful. When I call First American, I have to wait for a long time. I have to wait until they get a contractor and I think older people and people with kids should be a priority and they don't do that. I am getting what I paid for.

There is room improvement but they are generally good. I had the hot water tank and the air conditioning fixed and the hot water tank was wonderful and the air conditioning unit is inferior quality.

I chose them because I thought it was a great company to work with. I don't think it worth the money and I should have gone with another company. The contractors don't complete the job and there is a lot of back and forth and my washing machine still does not work. I would not refer them.

They tried to put a lesser hp garbage disposal in. I refused it. It took another few weeks to get permission to put a like hp one in. Mine was very quiet. The new one is like a freight train in the kitchen. Not real happy with it.

I’ve had my policy with them for almost two years, they great, but once I needed my water heater replaced, they sent a plumbing company the work with, and they wanted to over charge me to install the water heater. The home warranty is supposed to pay for the water heater, but the plumbing company that they hired wanted to charge me 2200 to install the water, once I felt this was to much, I ask the home warranty if they can pay me what it they were going to pay for the water heater, and I would hire another company. It was not a problem, but all they paid me was $460, and I used that money to hire another plumber, they installed my water heater for $1595, it was very disappointing that First American home warranty, was probably not really paying for my water heater with the plumber they hired, sounds to me when there were asking for 2200 it was all written in the price, so to me that made them very dishonest. At first I had great reviews about the company, like when they couldn’t fix my ice maker on the fridge, they gave me a brand new fridge. Overall, I can’t recommend them with the last claim I made, it was not justified the amount they paid me to replace my water heater.

I’ve been with First American for over 20 years. They have been very fair to my repair requests and have repaired many appliances and AC’s over the years. The only suggestion is that they screen their contractors more thoroughly. Not many but have had a contractor that was less than trustworthy that ended up costing me and First American excessive charges and long delays. I highly recommend First American.
