At first this seemed like a decent company. I switched from American Home Shield to Choice because of good ratings and lower price. But it seems to get harder to have a claim accepted. Our ice maker in the frig started to spit out broken pieces. The company that came to the house even said that the ice maker needed to be replaced. But Choice declined the claim saying it was not caused by normal wear and tear. That makes no sense. I will appeal but don't have my hopes up. When this contract expires, I'll be looking for a better home warranty company!

It’s a company that is out to make money and doesn’t care about the individual relying on insurance for any unforeseen discrepancy in the future. They say they cover certain components when purchasing their package and fail to tell you there’s a hidden policy that obsoletes their responsibility of coverage to HVAC. Ask for the actual policy contract and read in full. Do not rely on HCW if your AC is out. It took over 2 months in the heat of the summer to finally get a diagnosis and then be told will not be covered.

The fastest appointment they could get is for a week and two days after the day we reported the problem. That’s not what Choice advertises. I called and left a message and no return calls. We have no electricity in half of the house and have to wait a week and 3 days for someone to come check this out. You should be ashamed.

They take forever to provide repair. I had to keep calling them. I foolishly renewed for the coming year and they won't give me my money back for the renewal that doesn't start until the middle of August unless they immediately cancel and don't complete current repair.

I had to locate a vendor that was contracted with Choice to complete the repair. I had dogs and a child in a house that was 85 degrees and they were not helpful in any way. They were ‘waiting for a vendor to pick up the ticket’ instead of proactively searching for one.

Horrible. You didn't even pay for all the cost of my fan when I pay you a monthly fee and an 85 dollar service charge. The fan was 150 and you paid 70. I had to pay the difference. That is not what I expected. Unexceptable.

Very misleading company. They state they cover a list of things in your home but when you submit a claim they don't approve the claim stating they don't cover it. Very frustrating and not worth paying a monthly fee if your company not going to fix things that you say you cover.

I had a frustrating experience with Home Choice Warranty when my refrigerator wasn't cooling. The technician they sent couldn't do the work because he doesn't work on closed systems and couldn't add Freon. Now I have to wait another week for a different technician. Disappointing service.

I was unhappy with the settlement and canceled the policy after the agreement pay the claim. They refused to process the check. This is Fraud

I had a terrible experience trying to get my refrigerator fixed. After promising to fix it, the service never showed up or called back.
