Water heater had to be replaced and the company they sent was very nice and accommodating. Only issue I had was the part they said I had to have the insurance would not pay for and that was 150.00$ since this was mandatory I feel I should not have had to pay for it. Wasn't the vendors fault.

The problem with Choice is you feel lost with them. The system is so difficult to get to communicate, to get answers, all emails are no replay, others are not handled by anyone. They go home at 5pm on Fridays and have no one to get in touch during your emergency. We have two contracts with Choice for our two properties. The property my son lives had a plumbing emergency, he contacted them in their working ours because they had water everywhere in the bathroom and they said there was no one available to go, that my son had to look for a plumber himself and had the plumber call them with the estimate. The plumber went and called them, they never answered, it was a Friday, the claim was outstanding with no results on their website, we had to resolve the situation, paid the plumber $1,010.00. Choice on Monday called indicating they never received an estimate and was not going to pay what we paid the plumber. They ever asked what the problem was being informed verbally what was happening in a household with two minors. They said we needed to open an appeal. Horrible long process, they ended paying $500.00 of a procedure they messed up from the beginning. Other experience is a recent claim of our other property, the other contract with Choice, our refrigerator was making water from down to the floor. We opened the claim, they sent an appointment and the technician never showed up. The status on the claim was they were waiting for the technician report and that we needed to get in touch with the technician to let him know that. No phone number neither email given for us to do what they were supposed to do. They didn't even gave follow up to be informed the technician never arrived to our home. We were desperate with the water coming out to our kitchen floor, afraid to fall, we looked for the contact information and got to chat with Sears Home Services, gave them the order number and emphasized in the urgency, it was Friday, they sent a reschedule for Monday, all this done by ourselves. The technician came, we paid the deductable, he said he needed to shut off the water valve to the refrigerator water and ice making system and that our refrigerator needed to be changed, that Choice needed to give us money to buy a new one or send us to a place to get a new one paid by them. Is all rusted in the back and if he was to change the water pump, we were going to keep on having water coming out all the time. That was yesterday, we haven't have an update from Choice yet, we have no water or ice working in our refrigerator.

When I call they just keep me updated on the technician that is handling my case. I used it to have my faucet repaired and I got a response the same day and the technician came out and did the job and everything was fine. They are the least expensive compared to the other companies.

I have had a few denials in the past that I thought should have been covered but were not. The reason I was given was because it's user responsibility. I've noticed that coverage terms have changed for both of the non-covered items. My last claim was covered minus my copay. I did have to follow up on the initial request because I had not heard from them within the time limit given.

It was very hard finding a repair person for our dishwasher. We ended up with someone who works many miles away in Montgomery County who only took the job if he had other jobs in our area. There just weren't any other companies available and it took many months to repair the dishwasher. It was also an issue finding a plumber to fix our sink, but not as long. Recently our microwave stopped working and your company gave us $191 to pay for the microwave but WE still have to pay for the delivery and installation fee of $130. We're thankful for the money to pay for a comparable new microwave but your company needs to take into consideration the additional fees that we have to pay. If you are saying you will pay for the replacement, then you should include the money for delivery and installation! We have not purchased the microwave yet. I hope you do read these messages because we should not have to pay the additional amount. Their house is only 3-4 years old. A microwave should last longer than that.

The company that they sent out was excellent, we're very pleased with them. They took a reasonable amount of time and so far I'm pleased with Choice. Our air conditioners weren't working and it was hot and we called and took us three days because it was weekend and they came and fixed it. I would prefer to be able to talk to a person but doing it otherwise has worked fine.

They're very efficient and very quick. I've had a lot of experiences with home warranty and they aren't all good. I had people that did not follow up, I've been told that they're going to come out and they don't come out and then they don't answer telephone calls and that sort of thing so that's not very good. I've had other times where they've sent out somebody who has been very professional and very good. My experiences with them vary.

The garage door failed so I called and the person came out and fixed it on the spot and it was the same with the plumbing. We had a stoppage in the kitchen sink they went ahead and did the stoppage, they first make out the line and they replaced all the plumbing underneath the sink and it works perfectly.

I used my warranty just recently for my refrigerator, my ice maker wasn't working. A technician came out as scheduled and he had to replaced the part, he came on the day and said he would be back to replace it, I've never heard from him again until weeks later. I had to call Choice twice regarding this matter and they were finally able to get a hold of the technician and he will be coming to finish up the job. So I was a little disappointed because the company never responded and never called me back. I also had someone come in to check my sink when it was leaking and that company was absolutely wonderful. They came in, they fixed repairs very, very quickly and I was very happy.

I've been with them for over 15, 16 years or so. I've left Choice a couple times before and tried other warranty companies and I went back to Choice because they just couldn't compete. Just recently one of my air conditioners went off. I had to use the warranty to replace the compressor and some other things, but the contract didn't pay for the compressor being removed or replaced, but it did cover a lot of other things. So basically it cost me $2000, but I would have spent $5000 without Choice. Yeah, I'm OK with that.

I like the the platform, the portal, like how you could do the claim status, you have a pretty fast response rate. I was having issues with with an AC unit at my rental property and I think I put it in like a night before and within the next day a technician was there, so that was that was nice that they got there pretty quickly.

Whenever we've had to call them they're really polite, very nice. They got things done real fast. We just had an electrician out when our fridge had completely broken down, so we had to get a new one. But they had a service person come up to try to fix it and they paid for the refrigerator.

I had to have something done with my refrigerator. It was not working right, and they said it would be $75 for someone to come out. And that's gone up I believe from when I started. They sent their young men out. He opened the refrigerator door and he looked at the mechanism in the back and he said that needs to be replaced. I paid him the $75 in cash and he left. Now when they finally contacted me from Choice warranty office, it took 30 days for me to get a response from them that they were going to replace it. They only covered 400 and something dollars, I can't even buy a refrigerator with that, but they said that is the ammount because of the age of refrigerator. There's maybe a miscommunication with replacement when it's broken totally to how it's covered. Disappointed

Easy to open claim for heat pump noise. They sent Pendergrass H&A out. Pendergrass tech diagnosed a a bad fan motor and ordered a replacement. Came out next day and installed new fan to correct the problem. Great job! Thanks to all!

I have had 2 minor requests. One was for the garbage disposal. It was replaced with a low end, very loud disposal. I was not consulted about the potential of an upgrade. The product was a brand that to my knowledge is no longer being manufactured. The second instance was adding Freon to my AC. That was a good experience and was completed quickly. I assume it was not considered urgent since it was 3 days after my call that the service was completed.

on my last call for broken Air conditioner, The service providers they wanted to send would have taken4 days to respond and service my home.We live in South Florida and the temperature inside my home was 90 degrees, I called to request a quicker response, that was the best they could do. I have an elderly father living with me and I explained his health condition and the need for a prompt service call, I was told that the service to be provided was not emergent and that was the best they could do.So I was forced to call in another company to help me get my air conditioner fixed, It tried out it was an easy repair and required a quick reset of a button on the part that was outside. I found it frustrating they did not hsve the resources to get a person out to my place in a timely manor, i would have paid extra to hsve someone come sooner, but they could not figure out a way to help me.

We needed a repair on our whirlpool washer, and they had whirlpool corporation seen a technician to repair it, instead of just a run of the mill repair person. I was disappointed when I had go purchase my own faucet and be emburse only $70 when a faucet of the caliber that was taken off cost me $124. Just didn't seem fair and I had to wait until I had the funds to purchase it to use my kitchen faucet. I had to cut the water completely off because of the leak. So for the following three days I had to fill a bucket in my bathtub and heat water up in the microwave, it was not a fun job. The only reason I still gave y'all a 4 is because of the technician. He was very good and got me back up and running quickly.

I like that Choice Home Warranty allows their clients to find their own technicians if Choice is unable to find one for them in a reasonable amount of time. However, Choice needs to be more careful in choosing technicians to work for their company. The technicians should not only be competent, but also honest and responsible. I recently had an issue with one of their technicians who failed to show up for three scheduled appointments! All three times, he failed to call, text or email me that he wasn't going to be able to come. On each of those dates, I was given a four or five hour window fo his arrival, which meant that all other possible commitments had to be postponed. (For many people this would've meant serious loss of income!) Not only did the technician fail to call me; on two occasions he refused to return my calls after I left messages; and the one time I did reach him, he was impolite and suggested that it had been the responsibility of Choice to call me rather than him. The people I spoke to at Choice told me this was not true. Choice agreed to reimburse me for the technician that finally fixed the problem for me and for what I paid myself in replacement parts; but the amount they agreed to send fell short of the actual cost to me. I have not yet received the check from Choice. I was also angry when they spoke of charging me another $85 service fee call for my technician, even though I had already paid the fee to the person they originally sent who ended up doing nothing for me. Some of the people at Choice fais I would have to pay that second fee, while others said I would not; so I guess I'll have to wait until I receive the check to see whether or not I was charged a second fee.

The refrigerator man you sent knew little about the sub-zero refrigerators although he tried, but offered no help. I had some weather stripping to replace the bottom strip seal that was worn so repaired the unit myself. Refrigerator continues working very well. The $85. Paid to DFW Appliance evidently went for his transportation but not for any improvement.
