It was probably one of the cheapest ones with a lot of services. They were very courteous and they answered all my questions and then they were on time. It only took like a week to have somebody come out and service the appliance, so that was not heard of before. Definitely trustworthy.

They actually do respond immediately back when you make a request, whether they have someone or not. They just need to let you know that they're going to cover it before you pay the $85 and you can just find somebody else instead of losing your money because once you pay them, you don't get it back.

I was with the American Home Shield and they were quoting me more money than Choice Home Warranty was, so I signed up for three years and I've been very happy. I just barely called them today, because I'm now in trouble with my air conditioner of all things, and and they're getting right on it, so I'm very happy with them so far.

Sometimes it's hard to get people on the phone, but for the majority of the time it's a very easy process. It's a good value. I feel secure with having coverage. The only negative comment that I have is when it comes time to renew, there's some sales people that are very pushy and want you to renew for many years at a time and they get very aggravated when you don't accept.

It seemed to be the best price deal that was available to me. I had an incident where I had to involve a case manager and it ultimately did not resolve the way I wanted to. We used the warranty for a repair of a central air conditioning system and there was an incident where a leak was determined to have existed in the refrigerant and the warranty would not cover the restoration of refrigerant.

We liked it enough where we bought a second policy for another house. Every once in a while somebody has to come back two to three times to get it right, but on most cases it's a quick turnaround. When we did have a problem with a vendor that they sent out to fix something, they kind of got on the person, and they were here pretty quickly after that.

I think that one of the reasons that I signed a long agreement with them at the beginning and paid upfront to save some money was because when I looked at the information they sent over, there was not much they didn't cover. It seemed like they covered most things and most claims. That has not been my experience so far. They've covered some claims, but it's definitely not been the way it was explained to me. That being said, there aren't there any policies that will cover the multiple things I have, so I don't think I have much choice unless I was to get 2 policies in the future with some other company. They are quick to answer. I don't always like the answers.

They responded to our need. We needed to use our warranty when our air conditioner broke on the hottest day of the year and they got someone out here. However, we had to pay $150 extra for them to come on a Sunday, which I didn't think was quite fair, but other than that they did a great job. It took them three hours and it was fixed.

It's a good company with which to make a purchase. When the people come out to do a good job, they follow up and make sure that things are done properly. It's just a matter of being patient doing the follow up and making the calls and waiting for the service person to come out and and do the work. Because right now I still haven't gotten the coupon for the microwave, but I'm sure it will be eventually coming.

My past experiences were very poor and my most recent experience was satisfactory. So I think they're getting better. Definitely things are looking a little bit up. I just recently had to use the warranty and they allowed me to pick my own vendor 'cause they didn't have a vendor and the vendor came out, filled out the form or whatever, and basically we did get approval. He took care of it.

I called in and they were very prompt with providing me with the service to come out to check out my system that needed to be looked at. I had a refrigerator looked at and I'm still waiting on someone to call me because they didn't get it done. I will be calling them. I was giving them time to call me, but I'll be calling them to find out what's happening with that service.

Every time I've had an issue, they were always quick and ready to respond and did whatever it took to get someone out to help fix whatever it was that was down at that moment. The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that it went up in rates without giving me a warning, but other than that, the service is excellent and the quality of work that I received is impeccable.

The direct telephone service is wonderful. They get right back to you and they take notes. But to follow up to get everything done, sometimes it takes takes a lot longer than I want. Will you let them know I am frustrated because I want my dishwasher back. I need my dishwasher replaced. They don't have the parts and they're talking to one another, but nobody's doing anything and it's now it's been a week since I last talked to them.

I've filed two claims with them. The first one didn't go very well. The second one used a different contact point and it went extremely well. Like everything these days a lot of it depends on the person you end up talking to, that they're at the company and they can make or break the experience for you. It's like most companies nowadays. Sometimes you get a really good representative, sometimes you don't.

Every experience we've had with them so far has been good. Our air conditioner went out and we had somebody come out and there wasn't anything they could do with it. But they referred us to a company who gave us a very good price and did a very good job. They were in and out of here in one day and we were very, very satisfied.

I had a bit of trouble getting in touch with you guys. Someone did return phone calls a few days later. So that wasn't exactly good for me. When we joined, we had two refrigerators that I was paying for, and one was a regular refrigerator, the other one was a refrigerator for wines. And the wine refrigerator went out and lo and behold, you didn't cover it. And I thought that was pretty bad. You did refund the amount that I had paid, so that was good. But I didn't think there was anything different between a wine refrigerator and a normal refrigerator, except it didn't even have a freezer, it just was a refrigerator. So I was disappointed with that. We did have a repair that was done on some toilets and the guy did a very good job, except for the fact that he didn't replace the valve that really needed to be done with the original. He used a temporary different brand one and it wasn't as good. I did like the the the guy who came out to repair the toilet. He was a very nice gentleman and I had no problem with him. I just had a problem with the fact that he didn't have the correct valve for our toilet. We've had some other companies and I would say that it's all fairly comparable. I was hoping that this was going to be better, but it didn't really end up being better than any other ones that we've had. And there's always going to be an issue. It's never a perfect world in this case, but I was hoping for that.

Update #2. Changing to four stars. Why? Today they agreed to pay the claim. Cannot give them five stars due to how difficult they made obtaining a reimbursement that was clearly warranted (total cost to locate and clear clog was $156. So their share of the claim was only $91.). Regardless, they finally (possible due to my promise to take legal action - even if it cost me thousands) agreed to pay the claim. UPDATE: I am changing my review to three stars. Why? They appointed a person to review the claim. The reviewer finally agreed that a stripped screw could not cause the sink to leak. They are going to pay for labor to replace the faucet and give me a small credit towards purchasing a new one (they offered to install a builder grade one at no charge - which is exactly what their policy states they would do so I am happy with this outcome). IF they pay the clogged line claim I'll raise my rating to 4 stars. The reviewer could not assist with that claim but gave me a suggestion that may result in payment. I am leaving the original post as it was 100% accurate at the time. I. CHW goes out of their way to deny claims. II. Their justification for denying claims have no bearing on the actual problem. Example 1. CHW denied a claim for a clogged home drain line because the technician did not find a "mechanical problem." Of course there was no "mechanical problem." The problem was a clog not a "mechanical problem." Example 2. They denied a claim for a leaking faucet stating that a stripped screw was the problem. The stripped screw did not cause the problem. Tightening or loosening the identified screw did nothing to resolve the leak. III. They go out of their way to make it as difficult as possible to obtain reimbursement. For item II.1 I had to threaten to have my attorney engage to get them to reopen the case so I could file for reimbursement. No payment yet and CHW has made it as difficult as possible to obtain reimbursement.

Choice replaced our HVAC system which I appreciate. It was a difficult process, but it was eventually covered. Initially they had difficulty finding a service tech in my area, or I would give them 5 stars. The provider they sent was very thorough, professional and efficient. This is the second major system they have covered, but I did prepay for an extended contract.

I had my first claim about two weeks ago after being a customer about four years. I did not like my first claim experience for this reason. I paid a $85.00 service fee in my opinion that could have been avoided if the customer service rep. would ask me what make and model microwave I had and what it was or was not doing because when the service tech came out he first asked for the fee and when he saw it was not heating or rotating, he stated it would cost too much to repair so I had to spend more money for another one an additional $150.00. If information was gathered on the front end the service tech would not have been needed.

I just updated my card and tried to reactived the warranty they said the card was no good but they used it for the call for the dryer. We called and wanted a home call for a power outage and got no call or email or text. Then we found out it was just the A.C. stopped working and blow the power.

New to the home warranty thing and have always done my own home repairs. Recently moved to a newer home and have to travel out of town a lot. Great having a piece of mind that my home repairs will be taken care of. Was a little rocky in the beginning and learning how it all really works but after that it’s been great. The air conditioning went out when it was over 100 degrees out, so we were without the air conditioning on Saturday and Sunday. They were out Monday, which is when I called. They were prompt, they got someone out here as quickly as possible, and the provider did an excellent job fixing what needed to be repaired.

I think it's paid for itself. Easy online interface. They're easy to work with - they've been pretty attentive with the times that I've used them. We called you guys, somebody came out that day, couldn't fix it, so they ordered a new opener and it's supposed to be put in this Sunday. So it was very good customer service.

Whenever you call to file a claim, they would say, how long ago did the situation happen? What does that matter? I'm calling to file a claim and telling you what the problem is. Why I got to tell you exactly how long ago it's been. I pay you every month. They gave me the run around about a claim that I had a long time ago. I can't remember if it was concerning a water issue, but I've been a member for years and I had not been using it and they had to know that before they would actually let me file the claim.

The last time I used the warranty, I had a garage door problem. I couldn't get my door up, so I couldn't even leave the house. And when I put it online to get on their schedule, I told them on there that I needed somebody right away because I couldn't get out of my house and they scheduled it for over a week out. And so I called them back and asked them if I could just find somebody myself and do the reimbursement plan but they said it was too late because I already had a scheduled service.

I switched over to Choice from American Home Shield, but I’m questioning my decision. I even got talked into purchasing the plan for 5 years ( 6th year free). I requested work on my oven- it wasn’t coming on at all. Also, back 2 burners wouldn’t light. A tech came out and fixed burners and did get oven to come on. However, he didn’t calibrate the oven or test it thoroughly. Yes, it came on but came on at highest temperature and wouldn’t settle back down to 350- oven was tested when set on 350 but registered 475!. I requested for tech to come back- they made me pay the $75.00 because they said it was a “different problem “ Tech came back, it appears it’s ok, but he didn’t have a thermometer to test it. I guess I expected more.

They responded in less than 24 hours. The tech diagnosed the problem very quickly and the part was ordered. An appointment was made to install the part and was done very quickly. He made sure it was working properly and also adjusted a couple of other minor things. Very pleased with the service.
