I never had a good experience with home warranty before but with choice it has been a really good experience. They respond within 2 days. Out dishwasher died two days before Christmas and the guy came out on Christmas Eve. We had to have it replaced and we got a check within a week. The people they use are excellent.

A little bit more expensive than it should be. Their customer care people were very friendly and knowledgeable. They were timely. and respond right away. Earlier this summer the air conditioner went out, I called them and within twenty four to thirty six hours the repair people were here.

The best valued plan. They get a technician here as fast as possible. It is worth every penny I pay because they get project running for forty five dollars and it would have been more like five hundred dollars with the parts and stuff. The technicians are qualified. Choice home warranty knows that they have the upper hand when making a claim just like all insurance companies do they are notorious for treating contractors terribly usually with misinformation or disinformation and make the contractor wait for them to make a decision while on the job before they can do the work this is on satisfactory behavior and it's the biggest drawback to using choice home warranty choice home warranty has always paid my claims and have generally been responsive

Service is/was great! Sears appliance and Sears could make a Svc call in 30 days. Choice was here in about 3/4 days and fixed the problem. However, I’m NOT happy with their sales department. Not knowing when my policy would renew I called and ask. The man told me it would renew in October and then talk to me about updating my plan. I thanked him and said I would call back in October. The next morning I found that he had charged me $450 which I had not authorized clearly. I called several times and got the runaround between different departments. After three days someone from billing. Listen to my story reviewed the tape of the phone call and then refunded the charge. So my problem was sales is a hard sell place don’t like that and when you call and they are busy they put you on a next available call back and after two days they never called back.

They were here and assessed the ceiling fan's problem. It needed a switch replacement. They were back within an hour and fixed my ceiling fan and was on their way.

You guys have good advertising. I was looking into a different company when their ad popped up. The service is fine. When I use the warranty, you are very responsive. Someone came out quickly to take care of my air conditioner. You aren’t really good about reimbursement and that is the one thing I don’t like.

There are some things I don’t understand, like why they only offered five hundred dollars for a brand new oven that couldn’t be replaced. That was a bad experience but when I had the garage door opener repaired, that was a good experience. The guy got here pretty quick and knew what he was doing. CHW loses a start because of not covering the 80 gallon capacity water heater tank (they stop at 75). 80 gallon water heater tanks are fairly mainstrea in single family homes nowadays, and knowing this "cap" may have led me to not signing up. This fact is something that also holds me back from an EXCELLENT on quality/value, and a 10 on the Recommendation scale.

It is a great company however I don't think the senior members of the company understand what the employees at the lower levels are doing. The company advertise they will help you replace or repair you system. That is a little deceptive. I recently lost my frig. Choice selected repairmen said it could not be repaired economically. Choice then offered to replace my Frig with an apartment style Frig and side they would only pay $200, I was responsible for the rest. I have a 3500 sq ft home and had a top of the line Frig in the home. Replacing it with an apartment Frig was an insult to me and should have been the same for your company. Scheduling an appoint normally take about 5 days. The company does not do emergencies. It appears if you train your customer service reps to provide upfront amounts they can pay to replace your items, this would add to the value of the company. Starting low and making the consumer haggle with them to get the best price is a poor business practice. It makes the company look as if they do not care for their customer. I should know as I have an MBA in business. Of course there are others that are worse, which is why I switched to Choice Home Warranty. My rating does reflect how easy it is to set up a repair request, that is probably one of the highlights of the company. Easy to use and prompt response (about 24 hrs). Fix your customer service rep who deal with the public during the replacement process and you will have a five star company..

I moved into this home and the microwave didn't work. Choice sent out the appliance company that fixed the microwave. It only lasted one day. The appliance co came out several times before they said, that they fixed the microwave, but you should purchase a new one and install it. The door is the issue. Not sure if that even makes sense. I should have just used the $65 towards a new one up front. From this issue, I had to call about the wall plugs, and the electrician replaced all of the wall plugs, but never really answered my question. Why don't you just add more wattage to the box in the basement for this issue? Not sure of how I feel about Choice at the moment. I do know that a home warranty is needed.
