This Warranty company is a joke and has been ripping people off for years. I wish I had done more research before buying a 3-year plan only to have everything I've tried to make a claim on either be denied or left still broken by a technician who has no idea what he's doing. The technician they sent me was Rihanna at 1 star out of 200 reviews after changing his company name several times to get away from bad reviews.

The only reason I gave them 1 * was because it does not give an option for zero....this Comany is the worst Ive ever had... they are a scam in my opinion...run away! Ive had several attempts at claims now and have not gotten hardly any positive results at all from any and areas they claim to cover...and they dont mind tacking on extra charges for stuff on the premium...but for little reward. I will continue to sound the alarm as this is a terrible, terrible company and should not even be allowed to take peoples money...as I said...Run!

We switched to choice home warranty. So far we have had 3 claims and they have covered nothing. First they don’t cover ice makers, next they did not cover the a/c blower fan because they said it was caused from a rusty bolt, third claim they didn’t cover Freon to go back into our a/c. We have 4 houses with them and will be cancelling. Trust me... don’t waste your money!

They have the worst service! We had a water heater go out with water all over our floor on a Sunday. By Monday afternoon they still did not have a technician and told us we could buy one and be reimbursed. We did that and then they tell us that we had to contact their technician first to be reimbursed. All we get is the run around but no payment. They continue to come up with more items we must do before getting reimbursed. DO NOT USE THIS WARRANTY COMPANY!!! I am sure there are better warranty companies out there, but Choice Home Warranty is not one of them.

Customer service is not open 24 hours a day as you state in your "good" ledger, which is a bad reflection on this review site. Also after agreeing to a monthly fee, I never received any warranty information in the mail to verify the agreement. I will be cancelling but it will require a phone call during my business hours to confirm since availability is NOT 24 hours a day as advertised by your site.

One of the worst experiences ever with this company!!!! MY ac had a leak and said we wont don any repairs on it until it completely is inoperable but if it breaks down we need to see receipts that you did some preventative maintenance. If you make a claim by phone be very careful what you tell them as their goal seems to be to deny claims. The best bet is to contact them by webpage and give as little info as possible. Customer service is useless, I was transferred six times trying to get a simple response, you get the feeling they're playing you in hopes you hang up. P.S. I live in a rental property covered by this warranty, the AC compressor unit has been bandaided a number of times already and they apparently refuse to replace the unit until it’s totally inoperable. I am a heart patient as is my partner if this continues and we end up in August with No AC this will be a major problem. I would never do business with Choice on my own and will be posting the same throughout Social Media. Bad Customer Service and Worse Customer Experience.

The Service warranty came with home purchase. I received my contract in the mail ,but when i tried to use it, I was told that it was a realtors contract, and the booklet I received was not what they would go by. So bait and switch? nothings covered? I tried to speak with agents... would not take my calls, would not respond to emails. The cooling company even resubmitted.. denied again . They pulled words out of the air, my house had settled? A brick house? really they are not a nice company would not use them again.

This company has never covered a single thing that went wrong in our brand new house. The first day we moved in, the garbage disposal did not work. They wouldn't cover it. Our Air Conditioner stopped cooling a few months later. They wouldn't cover it. The contract we were given states they are available 24/7. This is a lie, they most certainly are not. You might as well throw your money directly into the trash, as you would get the same result. Thoroughly dissatisfied.

I had two appointments that were set by them and no one showed either time or called to request a reschedule appointment. Basically you get no service after the sale and $375 just wasted on nothing. The representatives have no customer service skills to navigate you to a solution to take care of the customer. So please don’t sign up!

Please do not waste your money with this company. They are SCAMMERS!!! I had a problem with my dryer and a technician came out with his child. The first thing he asked was how will you be paying. It took him two days to report the problem and it’s been a week and the dryer is still not fixed or replaced. My husband and I had to purchase a new dryer on our own. Very disappointed and angry.

They will deny most of your claims. My AC unit coil was leaking and they said its due to the rust, but the rust does not come under normal wear and tear, so denied the claim. So what is wear and tear? Water heater started leaking from bottom. They denied claim saying the water heater container base or something is not covered. Please don't get this company insurance.

This company is a fraud. Do not purchase their product. The warranty is written to absolve them of any actual coverage responsibility. I have had three claims since I initiated the coverage and all were denied for very specious reasons. I received a small payment for each claim (about 10% of the estimated cost of repairs) only after appealing the initial denial and getting angry on the phone with their customer service representatives.

Our very first time to call for repair and it was denied. Hot water heater leaking. Paid for an inspection and inspectors report said "water heater un-repairable". Next day notified by company that they would not replace or repair as their warranty excludes hot water tank itself. Now I ask you: how is it that the hot water tank itself is not covered when all connections are attached to the tank itself? This company is a scam. We were warned by friends not to use but unfortunately took a chance. STAY AWAY - they'll cheat you at every turn!

I filed a claim. After several days I called them to get the status. They told me they were trying to find a technician. I called and asked them who they were calling so I could help and they wouldn't tell me who they were contracted with. I asked to speak with a supervisor on three different occasions and they said they would call me back as they were busy. I never received a call back. I just had to schedule my own technician for which they would not pay. Canceled policy and asked for a refund and they refused.

I had a heater go out 2 moths ago they wouldn't replace gave me 250,00 cost me 1650 to replace then just this week my AC went out they would only replace the compressor giving me 700. When both units were 30 yrs old said they would upgrade system cost me 2300 for that checked with American Home warranty both would have been replaced. Choice finds a way not to replace things . I will not use them again it's false advertising .

Terrible technician who fixed nothing and then didn't return phone calls and finally when a new appointment was made never showed up - all over 4 weeks. Given incorrect information and had to speak to no less than 9 different people. Found out there were more exclusions than coverage. Told we would be reimbursed by our own plumber and then told we would only be reimbursed what they would pay, not what we paid. Finally cancelled the policy and cut our losses. You get what you pay for and with this company you get nothing for your money. RUN A MILE!!!

Choice Home Warranty Sucks! The Exclusions covers nothing. Quick example: Garage Doors do NOT cover the doors, garage door openers, or any parts. That's it. Nothing is covered, as with all systems. This is a TOTAL rip-off. We pay a minimum of $70 per month. I have had only 1 positive occurrence with this company, otherwise it’s always excuse after excuse after excuse if why you can’t come through to fix or replace a broken product in my home. You sent some pure thieves to work on the A/C and got no results. Now you say you’re going to replace my stove top with a measly $300. After I declined, another $100 was added really. You cannot replace a stove top with $400.00 So what is your purpose? What is your point?

These guys have an excuse not to cover everything we've claimed. The pool pump is only covered up to a certain dollar amount, the water heater isn't covered because it's too big and considered "commercial", the leak in the wall might be electrical and not actually water damage (It was water damage. We had a professional of our own come out and cut the wall open), the air conditioner isn't covered because it's too new to have gone out from normal wear and tear (even though the technician they sent said it was normal wear and tear and we did nothing wrong). These guys are terrible.

Very disappointed with my first experience. My thermostat was replaced with the cheapest model on the market, the size was smaller and didn’t cover the holes from previous one! The temperature isn’t holding anyway! I did not expect downgraded replacement. The problem isn’t fixed! On top of it 75$ payment was requested in cash , which isn’t required on the policy. After all , we went through multiple managers objecting such service and did not get anywhere! That’s not what I expected and paid for.

There is no way I can give them 0 or negative start. I would have given them if I had this option. They are the worst home warranty company I have ever seen. I had probably 5 claims with them out of which none of them got covered. They take months to find the technician. They say the appointment has been scheduled with the technician, I wait for the technician to show up but they won't because the appointment was never scheduled. This happened for 6 times. They are theif. If you want to waste good 500 bucks a year then take a contract with them.

This was 4 days and I had to keep calling. Rejected claim. Reason the furance was not maintained. Service Center was 7 blocks from me and originally sold and installed my furance slso does work with Choice. They hsd nrver received a call. 1 star is is to much 0 if it was an options.

Thoroughly disgusted with CHW. Water heater needed replaced. The plumbing company they contracted wanted $700 in "code violation" upgrades (I live in the county, not city, no codes apply here) or they wouldn't install. CHW stood with their plumber, but said I could try to find someone else to do it. CHW's offer for payment is only $435, which wouldn't cover the cost of the cheapest water heater even they could point me to, much less the cost of a plumber to put it in. Never again with this company. Nope.

I wish i could give 0 stars. I paid for a service that was never given. I waited at home on 4 occasions for an electrician that never came. In fact, i started calling the electricians and they refused to do business with this warranty company due to payment issues. Not surprised. Scam artists! Never a call back from customer service either. Oh, and these knuckleheads still call a few times a week to try to re-sign me.

Filed 2 claims ...one was a plumbing issue that still remains. No one has yet contacted me on fixing the issue. The other claim was for my AC which is fixed but now the heat is not working. Not satisfied with the contractors you all are sending out. Seems like they avoid fixing the issue and I end up paying a service fee with no solution. Not satisfied and I’m considering switching over to another company for my home warranty

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. Being very unhappy with quality of service provided and the length of time to complete repairs I decided to cancel the remaining two years of the contract. Not only did they keep the first year's payment and the fee per service of $45 but they charged me for every repair that they made. The bottom line ..they refunded $487 of a contract for $1,550 and $298 on my second contract at $1,050. Each contract was based on three years. Total scam and ripoff

It was the worst experience ever, serviceman turned in wrong type of refrigerator. Then low replacement cost. Had to go back and forth for days while still without refrigerator. When all is said done I have to wait 30 days to receive the replacement cost. Still living out of a cooler. This company has very poor customer service.
