I have had two issues one with the motor in the ac air handler and the other with a microwave. After waiting for a tecchnitian for more that twelve hours over a two day period neither was covered. This company does everything to make it as uncomfortable as possible and then finds a reason not to fix nor replace as they advertise. SAVE YOUR money, do not buy this home warranty!

Terrible experiences. The first time or two we had reputable service companies provide the service and it seemed ok. But the last couple of times service techs arrived in personal vehicles, how professional is that? and the the claim was rejected for exclusions. My fault, should have read closer. For new customers read what is excluded not what is covered. The fine print will get you every time. Some of their justifications to deny claims can not be found in exclusions.

I was talking to someone on the phone about coverage and options with intent to purchase a plan. The gentleman I spoke with only seemed interested in my credit card number. This was concerning. I told him I would like to understand the options before signing up for this service. He then told me to do my research before I call and hung up on me. I did my research which is why I chose to call this company. But, the research clearly failed me. I would never give my business to someone that treats their customers this way.

Compressor for my air conditioner failed. CHW sent a HVAC representative from across the river, Council Buffs, versus using a local Omaha representative. My AC unit was installed in 1996 and the compressor was warranted for 10 years. CHW stated that the compressor was not serviced properly so it wasn't covered. The compressor had operated successfully for 21 years and had simply worn out. In addition, they wanted me to provide invoices showing that I had annually serviced it. Who keeps invoices for 20 plus years. CHW is a scam. Don't BUY!

I got a call from a service rep today. After explaining to him that I was looking to switch my warranty because the old one was expiring and I wanted to see if there were any better deals the rep said "that's understandable". I then asked could he send me an email so I can compare what I have to what they were offering he said "it's on the website" then he hung up. I will never communicate with this company about anything.

Choice warranty sucks I recommend anybody looking for a service contract stay very far away from his company. They look for every way to get out of fixing anything or covering anything Check all the complaints look at the lawsuit from state of New Jersey and state of Washington and a lot of other complaints. I plead with everybody who has had the service to tweet how bad they are.

This company is a total scam. They do not want to pay for anything and expect the owner to pay for all repairs and their wasted deductibles. This is my first year with them and last one. Had to out of pocket for a new water heater, washer, disposer, plumbing for a burst line, and toilet valve. All instances I called them up and had to pay the 45 usd copay for them to say that they won't cover it. I will stick to Craigslist contractors. Never again will I purchase this scam.

My claim for a plumbing repair was denied- the problem needed to be fixed by "jetting" the clog. According to the authorization dept, that was not covered under my policy. I was told on the phone by a representative of Choice Warranty that only rust or corrosion would be cause for denial. As usual, this insurance company was happy to take my premium, but always finds a loophole to avoid paying a claim. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED AND DO NOT RECOMMEND CHOICE HOME WARRANTY

Choice Home Warranty is a scam. The lied to us about our claim. We called the company that inspected the AC on behalf of Choice Home Warranty. The information provided by the technician was misrepresented by Monica and Latisha at Choice Warranty. They denied the claim even after we confirmed their [Choice Warranty's] misrepresentation. We cancelled the warranty at an additional cost to us! This company is running a scam and homeowners need to be wary.

I bought the three year plan. What a mistake. They have NEVER fixed anything. They have the worst repair companies ever. And this is from A/C repair, plumbing repair, Appliance repair. They all have crummy equipment and are incompetant. They are cheap for a reason. They have the scum repair companies so you end up paying twice to get it fixed right. I have had to hire other companies to come and repair items and they all do it without a problem. BUYER BEWARE11

Absolutely the worst experience trying to get things repaired!!!! I had to wait over 2 months for them to finally approve an air conditioner repair and then, they wanted to charge me $1650 for 'upgrades' needed. I spoke with a air conditioner service shop and they said it didn't need 90% of the things listed. The worst part was the constant calling them and them telling me they needed this or that - pictures, documents, blah, blah, blah. My blood pressure was through the roof because of these people. I finally told them to keep their $400 (which is all they would pay). It was worth it to me to go elsewhere for the repair and the moment I did that - I was physically and emotionally good - after 2 months of their insanity. STAY AWAY FROM CHOICE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH AND YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!

They will do everything possible to not pay. We had our A/C go out. They send 2 techs out who said the parts aren’t available as the blower is from 1977 and the whole thing needed to be replaced. Magically, the next day, we were informed both of those techs were no longer contracted with Choice. They said we would need a third tech to come out. He told us that it was our fault and the interior of our unit was packed with animal fur. We got our own tech, who told us Choice’s guy was scamming us as the interior unit is sealed and there is no possible way fur could get inside (he even demonstrated how that would be impossible). We escalated with Choice, and they kept talking in circles, then they refused to send another tech out (Mind you, 3 estimates in our favor, 1 in theirs.) We also had our water heater explode. Choice wouldn’t replace it due to the previous owner installing a used unit (how would we have possibly known this?). We had perhaps 4 items over five years and Choice wouldn’t pay for a single claim. Good luck finding a technician who works with them.

This home warranty has more to offer than others I looked into. The cost is $24 less than my previous one, covers more like electrical work, and has a lower deductible - $75. as opposed to $100. per claim. I'm in luck!

I'm older now but again reminded to read the fine print...while living in Houston we chose Choice Home Warranty however realized after various service requests that not much is covered. in one case they sent a service tch in the end approx 4 times with short term fixes and even after stating that they would replace the microwave if another repair service was required yet to provide a short fix again....If we had to do it again I would advise to investigate before making any decisions

Started out ok with a reasonable monthly cost, then they continued to raise it each year so that is what not such a good deal. Twice when I had a claim for home repairs they wanted to constantly contest the repairs and finally agreed that I was right. But it took a long time to finally get paid. I dropped them and looked elsewhere.

I was totally disappointed with this company and their between the lines contract. My refrigerator ice maker was not producing ice. The technician came in and the wording of his diagnosis prevented the denial of the company authorizing the claim / repair . I canceled my contract after they received over $5,000.00 from me in contract payments. They offered a second technician to be sent out, they never showed up or called. My daughter ended up buying me a new refrigerator for $700.00 from Lowes with a 5 year warranty for an rxtra $14.99. Please beware of these warranty companies if the parts or components to be repaired or replaced are not included in your contract Or are listed as an exclusion in your contract, Then you may as well buy a new appliance. Because the time in a warranty contract will cost you more sometimes then replacing it all together. Hope this has been helpful.
