Every time I call or submit a claim, someone has gotten right back to me. I had an issue with the dishwasher not draining, they fixed it with new parts. Everything I’ve had has been taken care of. I think the price is pretty reasonable. I was able to get some discount from the service center. It has been good.

My realtor recommended it. They cover all our major systems. That was our main concern since I am disabled. I cannot get out in the yard to check out the systems like I used to. The workman they recommended came to my home in a timely fashion and determined that my refrigerator needed a new door gasket as the magnets on the old one had stopped working, preventing the door from sealing properly. A new gasket was ordered and installed. I was told to close the door firmly for the next couple of weeks until it was firmly seated and holding the door tight. I do not feel that the door is sealing tightly yet. I will give it another week or so to see if the kinks will wear out. If not, I will be calling back to see what else is recommended.

The customer service is always excellent but nobody's perfect. I used my warranty for my heating and it wasn't done correctly first time I called them back and they fixed it and it was at no cost to me so it was really worth it. They don't send, in my opinion, the top quality people the first time.

The policy does not have turnkey replacement of appliances. When I had to replace an over-the-range microwave oven, instead of CHW taking care of everything like American Home Shield does, CHW only sent me a check that does not fully cover the replacement costs: (purchase, delivery, installation, and disposal (of old unit)). Additionally, the web portal to request service does not have a stored- CC-number payment feature to "touch a piece of paper / handle an issue only once." In other words, I have to interface on the service issue an additional time with the service provider for payment -- AHS has this feature. As a property manager, I interface with home warranty companies on their web sites may times throughout the month. I prefer those companies that use an AHS-like consumer interface process that allows me to take care of a repair/replacement issue with the least amount of work and hassle.

They tried to fix the problem the best they could. If the appliance couldn't be fix and they give you money to purchase another one, but it is only a third of the cost to replace it so you had to put two thirds more money to replace the item and I was under the impression that if they couldn't fix it they would replace and it didn't work out that way.

I would have given a higher number because the warranty program has worked fine in my opinion. However they are employing people who deal with their customers in an offense and unprofessional manor. I called to re-new my policy and spoke to a young man. After getting my information he proceeded to try and up-sale me a five year policy. He spoke so fast I could barely understand him but basically wanted more money and it would be a better deal for me, according to him. When I said no, he became belligerent and insulted my intelligence then hung up on me!! Really is this the way you want your customers treated!!!

Previous experiences have been superb but this one failed the test. To get a canned light that bulb exploded fixed I had to use two separate claims so th contractor cost me $130 instead of just $65. The first electrician that came out told me that the canned part was bad and needed replacing and he would go get the parts and bulb and return that afternoon. He never returned. So I placed another order and that contractor called me and asked me for more money when he came out. I refused and he refused to come. Choice sent another electrician, Lawrence, who determined it was fine and just needed the bulb replaced. Since it was a spotlight in the can he did not have one on truck so I have to purchase and find someone to climb obnoxiously ladder and replace. Six weeks and $130 I still do not have light!

I've had a good experience with Choice. Only one claim in all my years with them has been denied. It was when the garbage disposal broke. They said they don't cover rust. Only one bad experience in years is a good thing. They have replaced or repaired several things in my house in the last five or six years.

The last issue was my vented microwave would start cooking on it's own.
