My overall rating is below 1 star but it won’t allow me to not select less than 1. Their service and customer support is very bad. They do not plan on taking care of any of your home products. They always claim you did not care for your appliances or you allowed the product to go bad, therefore they are not responsible. All lies and they are stealing money monthly from thousands of people. I have stopped business with Choice Home Warranty.

I'd give 0 stars if I could. I got a second opinion of the root cause issue to my water heater proving the first technician came out just listed the exclusion of the contact to void the warranty. Second opinion confirmed is was the age contributing to the water heater failure and choice then tells me the water heater is covered on my policy, just not the tank. Terrible company that transfers you around using loop poles and never solving anything.

RUN. I have had another warranty that actually paid or fixed items. This company pays very little towards replacement. They deny almost everything. They don't have techs. You have to get your own most of the time and then wait a month to be reimbursed. They told me they paid the same as my previous warranty. THEY LIED! Beware also - I saw on BBB that they had a problem with reimbursing people for reviews so they may not be accurate.

They are a joke! Don’t believe their fake advertising, phony warranty, and lies and excuse. They only want your money and service you will never get. I called about my microwave going out. They asked me to pay the 65.00 road charge and they only approved $ 227.00 for the repair. I refused and the escalated to a team lead. She came back with an offer of $247.00 and said it was final. The cost to replace is over 700.00 (250.00 microwave, 250.00 installation and trip charge 150.00 .. plus taxes ....50.00 Look whose paying for the microwave I will sue them

Their statement is if we can’t fix it we will replace it. They couldn’t fix my central air conditioner and they didn’t replace. T he dispute was settled by giving me 1,500.00 dollars. Where can I purchase a central air unit for that amount? Upon contacting them to cancel my policy I was told it I do so there is a possibility the check will be cancelled also.

It took 2 months for choice home warranty to send 3 different repairman to inspect my refrigerator and then decline my claim (they went the repairman's recommendation that wasn't covered). 2 months without a refrigerator? Because that's the service we signed up for, the empty promises while taking our money. The year before it took a month and half to send someone out to inspect our ac in the middle of summer in Texas, again not supplying the customer service they said they would while taking our money.

Instead a guy is coming from Stamford ct to Branford Monday. Terrible co. They try hard to to pay replacement. Many vendors won’t work with them. They are drilled and paid late. Don’t buy a home warranty. I have been a Real estate broker for 32 years worst company ever.

CHOICE HOME WARRANTY is a fake company, They loot people around, I bought house insurance asking for specific part for my Air Conditioner if they cover, i have email confirmation that yes they cover, i then had a field technician from there company to my home to investigate and they deducted service charge, after that when we filed the claim they rejected it, giving all sorts of reasons which does not make any sense. I request people for stop buying insurance from them , so that fake companies like these will stop looting poor peoples money because its our hard earn money after all.

To avoid headache and frustration please do not purchase with Choice Home warranty. They denied my claim from the start & I have to spend days requesting to cancel my policy, however they don’t want to cancel my policy made promises that no one know about. They assigned a case manager but apparently that case manager Kenny J doesn’t think it is urgent enough to return voicemail and email. I am still without a refrigerator. They really don’t want to fix anything and making excuses of existing conditions or they don’t fix leaks. Please do not purchase with them.

I made the mistake of "getting a quote" on Choice Home Warranty's website yesterday. I've gotten at least 4 calls since then: 2 from them and 2 from another company (Total Home Protection). When I asked them to remove me from their call list, they told me "of course, we'll stop calling you when you purchase out insurance". I will never purchase anything from a company using these marketing tactics.

This is the worse service and the biggest waste of money. They declined my claim based on the fact that the issue was caused by normal wear and tear so is not covered. Stay away from this and save your $40 + a month. This is flat out stealing. Almost a year making paymnets and first claim is declined not even a a good explanations. Doesn't keep up the promise. AC stopped working. Reported a claim and confirmed that the technician will contact in 4 hrs. but technician scheduled an appointment for the next day. Called CHW and requested them to send immediate assistant since we have infant at home. They said it is upto the technician to come and perform the service. Totally dissapointed. Will need to look for a better company.

I call for service because my ac motor fan stopped, they send tech after the tech try to get the claim approved and get the part they send him back to take picture then denied the claim for blower wheel is damaged inside . I call the tech to show me pictures he said he just felt with hand . I call and check they advice a scoundrel openion tomorrow is day no 4 without AC in Las Vegas with temp of 106 ,, please fan motor is covered until now I don’t see the basis for denial will see tomorrow and will update after paying 3 years in advance first claim deny after taking my money for 4 houses what ashamed and scam when the tech told me he can fix motor fan for $1000 ... if I got any company will not exceed $450 with part

Customer service and claim management services are the worst. The technical they hire comes after 3 days, they also change the appointment at the last moment. Repaired my refrigerator 3 times and could not fix it. When you call the claims manager she won't return your call or email. Customer service team will not able to help they will just escalate the issue. But this does not help. So be aware of this before you want to sign with Choice Home Warranty. I won't recommend them.

Don't be fooled. If you see a company with as many 5 stars as 1 stars, chances are that the 5 starts were purchased. This company business practices are unprofessional and unethical. Choice home warranty is a big scam. They will deny your claim for any major repair. They will find something in the fine print of the contract to say it will not be covered and you are on your own. I will not be renewing my policy and will discourage anyone who ask me about signing up with them. I definitely do not recommend this company. I signed up for Choice Home warranty. Salesman talked very sweetly and signed up for 3 years on my 2 homes. I had 3 separate issues/claims with appliance after 45 days. But they denied all of them and I had to pay for all. Then I called to cancel the service and they charged $50 on each policy and prorated charges for ZERO service. This is a very bad company, actually it is a scam. First, they alway deny your claim. Then, when you call them and fight with them on the phone, they will said that they will provide 200, 300, or maximum 500 dollars to have you. And then when the money they pay for you even to your pay, they will deny your claim without any reason. I called them to fix my water tank , handyman came and charge 75 dollar ,then left. I called choice home, manager told me my water tank problem not under warranty. They have some reason you never know before. This is bad company, without trust at all. You just waste money. They have very bad reviews. More than 50% complain from customers. I had them for last 1 year and recently water heater had water leakage and was told that it is irreparable since my tech coudl not replace the part rather stated to replace the unit. I called them on Sunday around 12PM and no tech came or call received until Monday 9 PM and i had to call my own tech to replace it since it further damaged by carpet and etc. Not recommending them at all. Please don't waste your time with this company. Keep your money in your pocket. I have called for a A/C repair no one ever contacted us and we paid to have it repaired ourselves. Had a water pipe bust inside our house and we have plumbing coverage. Was told they have 24 to 48 hrs for a contractor to get the claim and schedule a repair, we had no water in the house. Once again we Paid to have it fixed. Very unsatisfied and never will recommend and canceling our coverage

I had problems with my refrigerator that started in June of this year. It took two weeks to get a technician out to attempt a repair. After three attempts at repairing the refrigerator it’s still not working. It’s now August and the refrigerator is still not working correctly. After talking to the rep for choice they will no longer pay for any repairs or replace the refrigerator. The reason given is that the item that’s broken isn’t covered under the warranty. I would consider going with another company if your looking for a home warranty.

Read their policy document before purchasing. Any major issues you claim for, chance are they are going to decline your claim. When my garbage disposal stopped, they denied saying it was due to some foreign object and is not covered. I fixed it by rotating it with simple tool. Now when the AC went off, they said its due to water damage and that is not covered per xx section of agreement. I wont recommend to go with this company.

If I could give them less than one star I would! My parent's refrigerator stopped working and they sent someone out, the repairman told them it was their compressor. When my father called Choice about them putting in another compressor they told him no, they would not pay for a new compressor because there was a hole in one of their hoses and that it put a strain on the compressor which caused the compressor to stop working. The repairman told my dad that is an out and out lie! He said, there was no hole in your hose they are trying to pull something over on you! Total crooks!

I literally purchased a plan with Choice Home Warranty on Saturday via an internet application. As of Tuesday, 2 business days later, I've had 11 calls from this company asking me to purchase additional coverage, extended my coverage beyond a year, or to purchase home security coverage, of which I say no everytime! Each sales person acts like they had no idea I had already been called multiple times in the day! I'm literally being harrassed all day long & now I wish I never purchased anything from this company!!

Stay a way from these crooks there advertising is misleading and they don't do what say.They come up with every excuse in the book not to pay your claim.My a.c. unit went out and the tech could not believe how good of shape the unit was in for it's age.Choice told him to replace the compressor but do to the age there was non available. So choice came and said the condenser was rusted and that's way the compressor failed and all my years I have never seen aluminum rust .So please look elsewhere for coverage.

Refused to pay on a two zone ac system saying it was a add on. Originally installed as a 2 zone. When their propaganda says air conditioning system covered they don’t really mean it Be careful, they find any way they can to avoid paying a claim. They couldn’t find a HVAC repair in Golden,, Co. so we used the contractor who installed the unit. He couldn’t believe CHOICE refused to pay Choice is a total RIP-OFF, be careful

After being denied for my claim I wrote several bad reviews for this company. After they contacted me begging to take down the reviews for a full refund I agreed. several weeks later they said they issued a refund but I still have not received it so I'm renewing my reviews. This company is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. My only desire I now is to tell other people about my experience so they aren't taken advantage by this scam company. PLEASE DO NOT BUY!

I have had the warranty program since November 2018. I filed my first claim August 2 for a refrigerator. On Aug 5 I received an appointment for Aug 15!! I told them that I cannot wait that long. The service agent told me that I should contact SEARS myself to make arrangements....? Really. Still without an appointment, without working fridge, without resolve from CHW...
