Horrid company! Rip off artists!! Claim on my $2200 refrigerator and they offered $389. They say: (this is from the contract) 16. We reserve the right to offer cash back in lieu of repair or replacement in the amount of Our actual cost (which at times may be less than retail) to repair or replace any covered system, component or appliance. Their actual cost, so they say is $389. When I challenged as to how do I replace my fridge for that amount they said they have access to wholesale items but cannot offer them to me. They finally offered me $600 for a "like features" refrigerator.

I signed up for it. Frank M has given me a direct ph.no to call if I had questions. I wanted to change the effective start date and when I called. Voicemail asked me to leave message as star button was not effective to get the operator. No one ever called me back. I may want to cancel my policy as I am not happy with the response.

I requested an HVAC professional come and look at the HVAC unit in my home based on two previous (within the week) techs who said it was not even serviceable at this point for multiple reasons. Your company has denied my claim! So, until you do the right thing, you will receive no positive reviews and in fact I will ensure that everyone I know chooses another warranty company!

Choice home warranty is not so choice when it comes to areas such as heating and air, and electrical. They might send someone out to look but do not want to cover the problem. They are great at collecting their money though. Check around before you spend your hard-earned money. You may be better off without a warranty at all. Shifting blame on environmental happenings such as electrical surges tells me they are poor quality and are not for the customer.

My experience with Choice has been quite poor. After a small leak in our roof, which fits under our policy coverage (ie limited roof repair), we were charged the service fee of $65 for diagnosis and then they said they could not cover the fix of the limited roof repair. I was then told that due to the inconvenience of this lack of coverage that a future service call would have the $65 house-call fee waived. When the time came that we made another claim, they denied every promising that over the phone. Very poor home warranty company and would not recommend.

DO NOT PUT YOUR MONEY WITH THEM!!! Like scammers fraudulent company, they don’t cover anything! Every time I file a claim they send a company I pay service fee and then the WHOLE charge on the work, it’s basically you pay more then double! They deny any claim, even a very common one they denying. I had numerous home warranty companies in the past, some are bad some were good but CHOICE by far the most worst one ever. You are going to loose so much money with them. If I can help anyone from making this mistake I feel blessed.

We have hardly ever had a claim approved and when we have the service was terrible and Choice did not help get it taken care of. Even many of the service providers that Choice has called out have told me that other companies covered the things that Choice does not because the Choice policy is written to not cover hardly anything. I am telling everyone I know not to use Choice including all of the realtors I work with and home owners in our area in North Texas.

Had Choice for over 3 years and had 3 different issues with Plumbing Sump Pump went out, AC unit went out, and Fridge circuit board went out. All 3 Choice refused to replace and had to pay 100% out of pocket. Choice is a scam they will find any and every way possible to get out of paying for fixes and replacements. You will have better luck saving the $80 a month and putting that towards repairs etc.

They don't answer phone, don't return calls, response time is measured in weeks. If you have an emergency with one of your critical systems like heating/cooling and make emergency repairs while waiting on them to respond, don't expect them to cover the repairs. Read the fine print very carefully. When they do send a service tech, don't expect expert and timely service. I've been told by service personnel that their company will not work with CHW because they stonewall and delay payment way beyond reason.

This is truly the worst company I have ever interacted with. I paid for a yearlong policy and they refuse to cover anything. On top of that, HORRIBLE customer service. Rude people who won't help at all, take days to return calls and all profess to be able to "do nothing" to help, even though they are case managers and customer service reps. I asked for a refund and they refused. Choice Home is a SCAM, do not be fooled by them. They will take your money and not pay to fix anything in your house.

The premium is great, but I was quoted for an service fee of $65 and the representative told me he was going to send an updated contact reflecting the service fee I was quoted.Called he told me I should get it in 10 minutes as of yet no no updated information. Thinking about canceling the agreement. If you solicited my money and lied how can I trust you to provide great service

Our hot water heater needed a gas valve replaced. The technician that they send out was very polite and honest. However, He said that not only did the gas valve need to be replaced but also the pilot light assembly because the newer gas valves would not retrofit into the exisiting pilot assembly. Choice Warranty would not cover both parts only the gas valve and the plumbers labor. poor customer service.

The salesman, Jason, practically swore on his life you would be able to find technicians in my area to do the work. My very FIRST CLAIM and you left it up to me to find a technician to deal with a warranty. Not an easy task. Everyone hates dealing with warranty companies. AND now I am at your mercy having to wait for reimbursement. This is exactly why I left my last home warranty company. I’m very disappointed.

Choice has once again denied coverage for a claim. Indoor plumbing washing machine cold water faucet is not functioning and they call it a "hose bib" and they claim hose bibs are not covered. Time to finally cancel this coverage. Three claims in the last year have been denied or some excuse has been made to make me pay more than the service fee. American Homeshield is a way better company. Beware!

I have had approximately 4 claims submitted with Choice Home Warranty over the 2+ year I have been a member. 2 of the 4 have been denied due fine print in the contract. 1 was satisfied and 1 was negotiated up, however; I was still out of pocket an additional $100. I don't see the value with continuing with Choice Home Warranty when my current contract expires.

We decided to try Choice Home Warranty and that was a mistake! We had two claims with them, a dishwasher and a water softener. They did NOT repair either appliance and did not replace them. So we essentially paid 5 months plus the service fees for nothing! I think they may be a scam. I also found out after, that they have several BBB complaints.I wish I had known this before getting scammed myself.

Out of the three claims that I have put in...ALL were denied. A "water line" is not covered in a refrigerator. Garbage disposal broken bearings are not covered (possible corrosion & normal wear & tear) *8yr old disposal. Freezer not completely freezing...yep...condenser not covered. Therefore, there is NOTHING positive I can say about CHW. Also, two contractors that were called out insisted they did not have a relationship w/CHW. They wanted their service call money up front. Not the $45 CHW charge.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I have received. Nothing seems to be covered after the technician comes to your home and Choice blames the issue on you so they do not have to fix it. I am stuck with broken items, but have paid my warranty premium in full. I am not sure what I am paying for if I am not able to get anything fixed. Had someone come out to perform an electrical work on my stove hood. They couldnt get to the fuses. I paid $45, but they did not fix it. Now, have another appointment with another company and it say to have $45 payment. WHY? I dont think i should pay twice.

We have made a claim on our heating system that has an issue with. that wanted us to pay over $2100 to get some parts replaced. not sure why would any one pay for parts and labor if the unit is covered under warranty. i will never do business with them or recommend any body to do so. i contacted a contractor and he did state this should be under warranty! if there's a zero start i'd give it to them. very unprofessional.

I wish that when I described my problem to the person to set up the claim he had told me then it wasn't covered. I did not realize it fell under that clause. all he had to do was tell me then and I would have said OK. But he set it up for Sunday. They didn't show although the guy said he called (he didn't I was here). When they showed up Tuesday and I paid for it you said it wasn't covered. Why couldn't you have just told me that when I called the first time. I'm on a fixed income and $45.00 means a lot to me.

This is the second time they told me an appliance was not covered All that happened with CHW sending out a plumber was it cost me $60..Unless you have time to read their whole book of covered items I suggest you do NOT buy it. My hot water heater itself was not covered...only the components! With the refrigerator they don't cover it if water is leaking from it. I definitely will not renew it! I had American Home Shield Home Warranty before and was very happy with it.
