My washer broke. They sent a technician out. To repair the machine he was $107 over the choice warranty limit so they wouldn’t allow him to order the parts. They said my washing machine had a pre-existing condition so they wouldn’t replace it. I appealed the claim. I called and emailed several times and can’t even get a response back. I am cancelling ASAP.

The worse experience I’ve even had. I am trying to get a hold of somebody for 6 days after they sent my swimming pool claim to a case manager (Eddie S). I left 3 voicemails and two emails - nothing back. Called customer service 10 times answered they just tell you they are too busy. Don’t waste your money. My pool is about to collapse and I explained that to customer service. Even after they upgrade claim to expedite service - nothing is done on their part. Horrible. I have been their customer for four years. Definitely waste money. Never again

It took 17 days to replace our water heater. The account manager had no authority to do anything. The idea of a personal manager is a good one, but in practice it is a joke. I didn't even get my call returned. When I pointed out there were several hundred water heaters within 5 miles of my house, I was informed they were shipping one but it was delayed due to COVID. INCOMPETENCE IS NOT A SYMPTOM OF COVID. Shame on Choice for using the pandemic to excuse very poor service and operating systems.

Once you report a claim, its takes days before a tech or repair company is assign to the claim. Then you call choice home to get a script about the process needing more time. Then when the tech shows up, its takes days to get an approval to start repairs. I may switch to american home sheild....

This company is dishonest. They promised a policy that was for full replacement costs, then changed the policy to double cap and then changed it again to the standard policy. They promise everything but when it comes time for delivering on their promise they are no where to be found. I would not trust this company. If they cant get the contract right imagine how they will treat a claim! STAY AWAY

Very poor. Cant get claim people. Leave message and they are suppose to get back with you, this does not happen. I believe they do not plan on taking care of any claim filed and change claims people over and over hoping you will give up on the claim. I was warned never to work with this warranty by contractors and others who took out the warranty. I am not impressed with this company at all.

I wouldn’t even give them 1 star. They are horrible and cover nothing. They will find something to get themselves out of claim even though you are paying for a plus plan. They take forever to respond to claims. Customer service people know nothing and are very rude and not helpful. Trust me and go elsewhere. After my 3rd denied claim I cancelled.

They don't cover anything but the appliances and the one appliance they sent someone out to fix, the guy didn't fix anything but we paid him and you guys paid him for telling you he replaced a part that he did not in fact replace. A home filter to protect my home from sediment in the water isn't covered but you will replace a toilet if it cracks. This warranty is bogus and I will make sure I tell everyone not to get a warranty with you

Service tech said one thing and Choice said another. This is the second claim I’ve had and both experience have been horrible. They never call back, AC has been out for 6 days since the claim has been placed. I’ve been with other company’s that have worked out very well. These guys just have a script and stick to it. I believe they get paid for holding claims down. DON’T USE CHOICE!!!!!

We have only had Choice Home Warranty for a few months now. We switched from our previous company because the rates were much better. However, we have tried to use the warranty plan twice now and both times the claim was not paid. I will be canceling our plan and going back to our old warranty provider. They might have been more expensive but at least they covered what they said was covered.

We have Total Plan for over a year, last week we made a very first claim and was denied, because they said it is "not a normal wear and tear", compressor is supposed to last for 10-15 years. compressor is 8 years old and as a second owner of the house I get only 5 years basic warranty which expired April 2017. Since they found of about the unit being out of Warranty, Lydia C, our case manager is not taking my calls or replying to my emails. I have repeatedly told them we have a 4 months old baby in the house and it is now been 8 days without AC. Terrible Service.

Week I filed a refrigerator claim in February or early March and it still has not been paid out yet. It took 2 months of me being without a fridge for them to say we will pay you out.. if and that's going to take 30 days!?? Oh did I mentioned three low baked the crap out of me. I had a $2100 refrigerator and was offered $500. After "negotiating" with a manager the highest she would go was $900. Guess no consideration for 2 months without a refrigerator..i still haven't gotten a check yet.

Horrid company! Rip off artists!! Claim on my $2200 refrigerator and they offered $389. They say: (this is from the contract) 16. We reserve the right to offer cash back in lieu of repair or replacement in the amount of Our actual cost (which at times may be less than retail) to repair or replace any covered system, component or appliance. Their actual cost, so they say is $389. When I challenged as to how do I replace my fridge for that amount they said they have access to wholesale items but cannot offer them to me. They finally offered me $600 for a "like features" refrigerator.

I signed up for it. Frank M has given me a direct ph.no to call if I had questions. I wanted to change the effective start date and when I called. Voicemail asked me to leave message as star button was not effective to get the operator. No one ever called me back. I may want to cancel my policy as I am not happy with the response.

I requested an HVAC professional come and look at the HVAC unit in my home based on two previous (within the week) techs who said it was not even serviceable at this point for multiple reasons. Your company has denied my claim! So, until you do the right thing, you will receive no positive reviews and in fact I will ensure that everyone I know chooses another warranty company!

Choice home warranty is not so choice when it comes to areas such as heating and air, and electrical. They might send someone out to look but do not want to cover the problem. They are great at collecting their money though. Check around before you spend your hard-earned money. You may be better off without a warranty at all. Shifting blame on environmental happenings such as electrical surges tells me they are poor quality and are not for the customer.

My experience with Choice has been quite poor. After a small leak in our roof, which fits under our policy coverage (ie limited roof repair), we were charged the service fee of $65 for diagnosis and then they said they could not cover the fix of the limited roof repair. I was then told that due to the inconvenience of this lack of coverage that a future service call would have the $65 house-call fee waived. When the time came that we made another claim, they denied every promising that over the phone. Very poor home warranty company and would not recommend.
