Your warranty does not cover normal wear and tear such as condensation in AC Units refrigerant coil lines after aging. This is the major cause for AC Units failure due to there is no maintenance program or scheduled service program to flush and refill refrigerant Freon, especially after the unit refrigerant has become obsolete. My units have aged and needs to be replaced. the refrigerant R-22? is no longer in use. I find it is best to save my money and not rely on a warranty programs as a way to maintain my appliance operation. This seems to be a scam.

Since I have signed up online with any inquiry last week daily I have been called multiple times, emailed multiple times daily and now texted. This is way over the top and borderline harassments guys. I do have to conduct business during normal business hours so all of the calls are excessive. I signed up for crying out loud there is no need to continue calling me every day still by different folks.

If I could give less than one star I would! They refused to pay for a repair on my central air conditioning system. The compressor went out and they claimed it was not grounded properly or some such nonsense. Its 8 years old, they claim it should last 15 years. We live in the south ! Do NOT use this or any warranty company! They are ALL total ripoffs that will NOT pay for anything although the contract says it will!

I like the low service fee, however, on my recent claim concerning an LC malfunction (leak detected), it took 2 weeks before a tech was assigned. Previously, we had a water heater that went out, we went a month without hot water in our household of 4 and when we got tired of waiting and going back and forth with claims, we went elsewhere and got it fixed and it meant nothing to CHW. Very frustrating and lack of concern for their customers.

Run the other way, absolutely horrible customer service. Promises made never held. More than one incident with them. Had a leaking hot water heater in the garage, told me that someone would be out to fix it. The contractor told me that he didn't serve my area. Next contractor told they would be out in 10 days while water was leaking into the garage. Had numerous contacts with promises never held up.

Too many house problems and breaks are limited by the tight legalese of the policy contract. You have a repair need, and take time to set up a repairman, and then get caught by, "no, CHW doesn't cover that."

Price is too high for what you get into Mini Service call fees when they never fix anything completely. They always had to order parts and come back so if you want to dryer knob that needs to be fixed, he can take four months.

The devil is in the small print, or certainly the way they interpret it, when they denied paying for my A/C repair. Choice was great initially in getting service to my home. Their local tech was great. Despite doing all the maintenance my unit requires every year, they claimed the problem with my unit did not meet their definition of “normal wear and tear.” Think twice before you choose Choice.

Technician came very knowledgeable. Found problem with my ice maker. Checked for parts. Parts no longer available. Choice warranty wanted to give me a 400 dollar Lowes card. To fix my ice maker. Ice maker costs over $1200. Plus installation. Trying to low ball me. I'm not happy.

Requested a repair for a refrigerator water dispenser. The service man said he needed to order a part, which he usually had on his truck. Choice said the part was obsolete and denied. Not true. Finally they said they don't warrant ice makers or water dispensers. It would have been nice to know that up front so I could have taken care of it myself. Guess I'll keep buying water at the store until I can get the repair done.

Every time to get something approved is a fight. You call customer service while the technician is in the house and they can’t tell you why a claim is denied. Then you have to wait 4-5 days to get a technician to your house and then pay the $60 deductible and then pay another $260 on top of that to get it repaired then argue with Choice home Warranty. Once this appeal process is complete I will be canceling the policy and trying a new company.

Very dissatisfied with this company. My oven malfunctioned and CHW chose to repace it. Offered a Lowes gift card for $338.00 to replace it. I have a GE slide in oven with glass top, dual burners, self cleaning , etc. Ovens at Lowes comparable to mine start at over $1000.00, and a GE starts at 1500.00. I refused the offer and was switched to a manager. After sending photos of my oven I was told $338.00 was all they would offer, pretty much a take or leave it proposition. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Have the “Choice Ultimate” home warranty plan. Dishwasher leaks; called to submit claim; approved for replacement. Only offered $246 to replace. Seriously?! When refused offer and spoke to “specialist,” was told offer is firm, and offer is based on wholesale prices. How does a consumer buy at wholesale?? Am continuing the complaint up the food chain, but can’t get an “appointment” (phone call) with a manager until May 10th. This whole process started April 20th. Almost a whole month without a dishwasher. Ridiculous! Don’t purchase this scam of a home warranty policy!

Horrible customer service. Even after speaking to the technician that was out doing the diagnostic, that the system would have to be replace due to the part being unavailable. . Choice Home will report that the tech was no able to diagnostic and they would assign another tech in which you would have to pay for the same information over and over and never have the job done. When I ask for the diagnostic that they received they point me back to the technician.

I felt pressured & signed up for the warranty. When they called to ask if I had any questions, I told them I wanted to cancel. I was hung up on & called them back. I spoke with a different rep & he stated he cancelled & I would receive an email the next day verifying. I waited till Tuesday & attempted to reach them again only to be transferred without them telling me only for the next person to answer said she needed to transfer me to the cancellation dept. I asked does that mean the policy wasn’t cancelled on Friday as requested? She said it was not. Then hung up on me.

Purchased n 2017 for $1,750.00 for 5 year contract. Reported 1st claim on refrigerator water filter & warranty didn’t cover. Reported 2nd claim on the fiber band that goes around oven window inside stove door ( because got stained from cooking and while cleaning it the scrubbing broke it dow) & warranty didn’t cover. Made 3rd & 4th claim on my microwave same issue and it took 6 months to get fix and didn’t get fixed and am still waiting for replacement e-gift card for $191.00 from Lowe’s to replace and still haven’t gotten it. Warranty service SUCKS.

I have choice they are terrible. Example I have a two drawer dishwasher one drawer a year ago started leaking they paid to have it fixed. The other drawer did the same thing and now they say not normal wear and refuse to fix it. How can that be? Ok one drawer not the 2nd one a year later. Refused to fix AC even though I should proof of bi-yearly maintenance. They will deny claims for no reason. Waste of money.

replace like and kind is a joke. Our LG electric dryer is on the blink and the repair people that Choice Warranty sent out is they can't get parts for it anymore. Has been discontiuned. Choice would only come up with $488 for a Whirpool. To replace with an LG that is 7.4cu. (because they don't make the the7.0 anymore like ours) is $799. This has happened on the A/C claim and the water heater claim. They advertise to replace with like and kind and it is very false/ they are 3 for 3 in paying about half what they should have on the 3 claims we have had in the last year. NOT

I moved in to a dishwasher 12 years old covered by policy from seller . CHW came on 4/13 - informed a needed 2 parts one simple the other the board that was no longer manufactured - the would require 10 days to research availability - only in formation I am provided they will let me know 4/27 (that’s 14days) . The part is no longer made . What’s the chance there is anew one on the shelf somewhere. Oh ok a refurbished one is satisfactory? Not by me . After reading this how would you grade CHW. My grade is ZERO
