CHOICE'S SERVICE IS SOLELY PREDICATED ON THEIR LOCAL CONTRACTED REPRESENTTATIVES. CHOICE'S CONTRACTUAL TERMS AND POLICY DICTATE THE LEVEL OF SERVICE AND THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK. IT CAN VARY FROM EXCELLENT TO TOTALLY UNSATISFACTORY AND A RIPOFF.

Most times they are very difficult to get ahold of. When you file a claim, you have to find your own repairman and then he has to send in a quote to Choice Warranty to get it approved. This can take up to two days. That's very inconvenient when the repairman is already at your house. They've also dealt with some repairmen that are known to be shady and untrustworthy.

They scheduled an electrician for Friday January 6th between 3-8 p.m. and after he didn't show up, we called him and he said that he told them that he couldn't do that time. He scheduled a different day and time with me. Then the CHW system rescheduled the appointment, and locked him out of the system, so he could not contact us! So when he didn't make the next appointment, I was really angry. My whole house's electric wiring is faulty and you guys are screwing around! No wonder American Home Shield is #1 in the industry!

The customer service has gone down over the years. The service representatives can not speak or understand english well. The service reps that CAN speak English give you an attitude. The company now takes a week to get a service technician. I would go on but ther is a limit for the review.

By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced in any industry / service I have ever received. It came with the house I unfortunately made the mistake of choosing Choice. Once the warranty expires, I will not make the mistake again of choosing Choice Warranty. I submitted a claim on Nov 25 for my fridge and it was not fixed until Jan 3. The fridge is still not completely fixed either, the ice maker does not work. They had also cancelled a claim I made on the AC when I told them not to cancel it. Please save yourself the mistake I made and go with another Warranty Company.

The part was delivered to the AC company but they made no effort to call me. Then they came yesterday an hour late. Then the part doesn't fit and have to order again. Now we have another cold snap and all I have is the portable heater.

I've h ad a contract for years. I don't like the ways to start a new claim and the times CHW provide for service aren't always the same as the provider. Sometimes takes too long to get a provider to fix the problem.

A premature determination was made in our case with our plumbing leak. No technician had a real look at the situation but Choice Home Warranty already rejected our claim. I even appealed the determination but was out right rejected even after explained to them the circumstances. I'm disappointed in this service and will be looking for another home warranty company.

No accountability. Case managers are rude and unwilling to help when you have an issue. Info provided about repairs is unreliable so you’re caught in the middle of Choice and technician. Service providers do not like working with Choice because they have a reputation for being unreasonable with difficult processes and policies. Customer loses out as a result. There have always been delays in the repairs I’ve needed and 2 out of 3 times, Choice refused to cover parts that the technician clearly said were needed for the repair.

My request for service was assigned to Sears appliance repair and scheduled for December 27th. After waiting nearly all day a mail message was received saying they had rescheduled to January 16th. Two emails to Customer service at Choice for another repair service and sooner date have gone unanswered. Very poor customer service. This is not the first time this has happened however we have had a couple of uneventful service repairs. It's kind of hit &miss with Choice.

Not always timely in answering a repair tech so repairs take longer to get completed. Weve never gotten a comparable appliance to replace one that was deemed necessary to be replaced rather than repaired.

Worst experience ever! An absolute nightmare. I wish I had never purchased their services. They almost always reject your claim or find a reason not to cover. A waste of money. They make every claim such a hassle, it's like they hope you get tired of following up and after all the back and forth, you never get anything anyway. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

The number of denied claims even when it clearly is part of the contract. IE recently my refrigerator door handle broke and they claim it was poor maintenance. Really??? All parts and components are clear in my contract to be covered. I asked for a claims manager to explain why and they did not follow up. They just don’t want to pay. Going to report them to Better Business Bureau. Another claim reduced a replacement of a $1200 dryer to a couple hundred dollars. Same model. Take it of leave it attitude.

I filed a claim a few days into my warranty (after the 30 day waiting period, of course) and this plumbing issue claim happened moments before I reported it to them, however, after sending a plumber out and determining that it appears to be a slab leak they have denied the claim citing that it must have been preexisting even though the plumber did not find indications of this and neither did I. What is the point of a home warranty if they are not going to honor it.

My water heater broke December 26th. Leaking water and called Choice Home Warranty. To no avail, my pleas for help from Choice Home to expedite and prioritize my claim went unanswered and unconcerned. This to me is not customer service. I even asked to speak to a supervisor and was told 24 to 48 hours I may get a call back.

Heating system died 6 weeks ago. They could not find a contractor and told us to find our own and that we would be reimbursed for the cost. We did and they wanted proof with photos and diagnosis that our company said had high levels of CO2 emissions and was a fire hazard from a crack in the manifold. They sent out their own man who confirmed the hazzard. Now they denied the claim because we had the work done before they got around to approving it. Supposed tp have a mediation call yesterday at 1:45. Never called. Now we have to sue.

Choice Home Warranty needs be review their contractors that they are licensing to enter the customer’s home. Some are simply crooks posing as professionals. They collect the service fee from the customer and say they are getting parts and do not return. It’s totally unacceptable. My most recent contractor was excellent compared with the previous five.

I have been waiting to get my pool Heater repaired since January. The original tech Aussi Pools never came back to repair the Heater after many follow up calls. And I understand they were paid $1200. By CHW. I called CHW 2 weeks ago and you entered a new claim. I have not yet heard from a Tech to come out to repair the pool heater. When can I expect this issue resolved.

Horrible, I spent over $3500 for all this coverage to make claims and them not cover it. The customer service is only sweet and work with you as long as you are buying something. But rude and "that's not my job", "I can't do that" when placing a claim. I am cancelling my plan and heading over to Old Republic, I have been in property management for YEARS and Old Republic always proves themselves to be the best. I do not know what I was even thinking giving this low budget company a chance.

Horrible company! Sent incompetent workers TWICE that didn't fix the problem and left my yard a mess. Then couldn’t find anyone to come fix the problem. Had to hire on my own and get reimbursed. Cost out of my pocket was $2800, they said I qualify for $500 reimbursement. **Tell me you don't have anyone to fix my Septic pump for 6 wks then only give me $500 to cover reimbursement???** Such a scam!! Stay away from this company!!!

I got screwed on coverage for a bad AC compressor. I started a claim in July and finally just had to get it replaced on my own dime after getting no help from choice home warranty after 2 months. When they finally got around to approving my claim, I lost all coverage since I went ahead and had the issue fixed myself. I guess they just wait you out until you get it down yourself before sticking it in your ass with no lube.
