Call to make a new claim the communication was hard the operator hade a heavy accent My appointment for a A C repair was scheduled 4 day after I open the claim. The gist appointments nobody showed up then I made another appointment that was moved 3 times. Now the technician finally came was there for 3 minute and claimed he replace a fan motor and cap absolutely not throu I like to know how much it charged you for this job

I felt bad because I cannot give ZERO Stars. Do not spend you money in companies like this one! Paid $1,750.00 when I bought a brand new house and after three years and 5 months, my house started have some issues. I called in regards to a a/c defect, and even though the company (Lennox) is responsible to replace all parts, the denied to cover the labor. They are on the market do MAKE money. Do not count on them!

This has been the worse experience. The vendor was a lot of the problem but Choice picked the vendor. We have a refrigerator/freezer issue and it's been almost a week with multiple lies from the vendor and days waiting for a decision from Choice. We have had to throw out a lot of food and are still waiting for a call from the repair place to come and fix the frig. We have a contract or I would have cancelled with them.

Contacting the right people is a nightmare. I had and emergency and couldn't wait the 3 or 4 days as told. I hired my own septic tank company and they came out on Sunday because they knew I was in trouble. Both bathrooms were over flowing with septic sewage. I was told to call and get authorization before work is performed, well Mr. Choice Home Warranty, I needed help ASAP. Now how do I get some of my money back if any. Septic was pumped, and a motor was replaced that had went out. Thank the good lord for that kind of service. My bill was $1150.

The presentation is great but the service leaves a lot to be desired. I feel were given the run around and the situation was made to be much more stressful and took longer than it should have. Once a second technician was dispatched to us, the issue was resolved after 2 weeks.

From the very beginning,(sales process) I was lied to by omission about how I could pick my own vocational technicians. Out of 5 service calls for 4 different properties 2 of the technicians contracted by CHW did not bother to call or show up to the property to perform the job. By the time I was able to get the jobs taken care of at least a week had lapsed. This is the short list of complaints.

One week after repair guy came out and still no resolution. Choice keeps asking for additional information. Now they want proof that we have repaired the issues that led to the hot water heater needing repair. WHAT? I thought that's what they were there for, to repair or replace covered items. This company needs some serious training. Shame on you Choice Home Warranty for taking hard earned money from customers and refusing service!

So far my experiences with Choice HW have been nothing but unpleasant. They have been to my rental twice for a leak in the refrigeration system. Each time they have tried to sell me a new air cond . I called my contractor and each time it has been a clogged condensation pipe. So far I'm so sorry I am stuck with your company for 3 years each on two of my properties.

We were very unhappy with Choice Home Warranty. The plan says it covers hot water heaters but we learned that in the small print that it doesn't include the tank. So basically hot water heaters are not covered. Instead of telling us this upfront when we called and told them the tank was leaking. We paid the sixty dollars for the plumber to come out and tell us we were covered and he would put in the claim. About 2 days later the claim was denied. Took almost a week without hot water to get a new tank and get it installed.... and more than $2000.

When I was sold this policy I was lied to & told that if a covered item, in this case 2 Ceiling Fans, wasn't able to be repaired it would be place with a comparable type product. Imagine my surprise when I was told that I was entitled to only "Builder Grade" ceiling fans and that I was being sent $140 for BOTH FANS! This is beyond unacceptable; just WHERE do "builders" buy fans that cost only $70? I cannot believe that a company as well known as CHW get away with these kind of practices and in my opinion are "comparable" to Scam Artists.

I was assigned a tech to come out 2 weeks after the ticket went through again. I had it repaired once, thought it was fine and working. A few hours later, the washer went out again. They are saying no one is able to come for two weeks. If I choose to, I can contact someone who has to call them and get authorization then can come to my house. I have to pay the tech then the company will pay me back. They don't want to do their job so they are having the customer do their job for them.

Bad experience. Representative hung up on me while I was asking question. Handicapped and not given common courtesy. When I called back another one hung-up when I was trying to talk and get a understanding. Talking fast to make a sale. One way does not fit all situations. They need to be trained to work with all people.

Do NOT waste your money. I've been with them for a year now and the compressor blew on our a/c unit in the middle of summer in Texas. They're saying it wasn't normal wear and tear so they are refusing to cover it. Every A/C technician that has come through our house in the last couple days has said they are really bad about not covering customers' claims. They sent me out a cheap a/c repair man who was shady and trying to sell me stuff without going through the home warranty. Save your money for a better home warranty where they won't rip you off.

I would probably not bother wasting time and money on this company. The salesperson will tout no inspection necessary. Will tell you if the home or units are not new, that that is exactly the reason to obtain The Choice Home warranty, “as nothing lasts forever” But should the need arise they will use the exact reason why you purchased the warranty to deny you claim. Not worth cost frustration and anger you will experience

I wish I could give this company less than a rating of zero. If you need a home warranty, keep looking and don't pick Choice. I am an honest person who bought this home warranty as an extra level of added protection. I had been with Choice for 4 year and had no claims. Recently, I had two minor issues. Dealing with Choice to help with the issues was near impossible. I hope no one else has to deal with this too. This company will use EVERYTHING to get out of paying your claim.

Instead of $60. it end up costing me $340. to use my plan, I was treated very dishonestly and unfair because I keep all my service receipts for what I was told I didn't do in preventative maintenence. But because they were looking for default, no one was interested in seeing them or speaking to me further 😔 scared to call again but sadly my plan was paid up front for the year.

I placed a claim with this company for a stand alone freezer on June 14,2018. The freezer needed to be replaced so they sent me a notification they would mail a check for less than half of what it is going to cost to replace it. I wasn't happy with their service so I decided to call today and cancel my warranty and go back to First American. I was told the check would not be issued if I cancelled so I am going to have to pay for another month to receive what I already paid for. Horrible company!!!!!

The salesman on the phone told me that if something can't be fixed it will be replaced. Not some dollar amount given to me but a full replacement of the item. Then when I read the contract it said that Choice Home Warranty has the option to give me cash instead and that amount can be what it would cost them after their discount. I am in the middle of my second claim with CHW. I will NOT be renewing my contract. It has not given me the peace of mind I paid for. The first repair (11 year old stove) was denied, and they wanted to give me $350 for the COST? of replacement (stove cost $2,000 when it was purchased). I am waiting for them to approve a simple washing machine repair (4 yr old machine.) They deny receiving paperwork from technician, even tho technician sent it 2 days ago. Horrible!

I have no idea why you would send me a review and my air conditioning is still not working. My air conditioner broke almost 2 weeks ago. My house temperature is around 85 degrees. I had to go buy multiple window and try to cool down my house. I am getting reimbursed for anything. There have been numerous no shows and 30 min wait phone calls to get through. I am not happy.

I called to ask questions about a home warranty and a representative by the name of Jack answered the phone and I was questioning plumbing coverage. He advised me that plumbing was not covered and asked would I be interested in appliance coverage and I told him no and before I could say anything else he hung up on me. I should have read the fine print, a/c coil went bad so I thought I would be covered. The contract stated coil will not be covered due to rust or corrosion. How else will a coil fail other than rust or corrosion? Save your money and fund your own repairs. Would not deal with this company again, fortunately I only have a 1 year policy. I think you would have better odds of me coming out to repair your appliances than you would choice home warranty. Buyers beware!!!!!

Very very disappointed in the service from choice warranty. Roy came Saturday to fix our AC. He was very cordial and fix the problem. However, we ended up paying him $225.00 because he had to get permission from Choice Warrsnty to replace the part. He emailed and called. After 45min he received no answer. Come to find out, you have no one on the phones on the weekend. What is the point of having technicians come out on weekends if they can’t get the okay to repair the AC.

Horrible customer service! I was told repeatedly for a week that they had authorized payment to fix my AC and they reneged on their promise and said they will send a check, their wholesale cost of a part, for me to buy a part to fix my AC. They kept stringing me along for a week and I still have a broken AC unit (in Tucson, 100+ degrees). Choice Home Warranty LIES, CHEATS ,STEALS, and laughs all the way to the bank with your money! Do not but a warranty from them, you will get screwed!

They are great when selling you the contract but their customer service closes at 5pm eastern and they make you wait in hold for 45 minutes. Their technicians are not reliable and they want to give u pennies on the $ to do a replacement. Ridiculous!
