CHW could not repair my gas dryer so offered to replace. CHW replacement ‘cash/credit in lieu of’ was not enough consideration to replace even at a lower valued gas dryer and had to come out of pocket.

I called and told the agent upfront that my sprinkler pump is not covered in my contract. I had my outside faucet that is also not covered, replaced through supervisor assistance . I wanted to do the same with the sprinkler. The agent verified my address twice and told me three times the sprinkler was not covered. Every time she said that, I said I kew, but I needed to speak with a supervisor to arrange the repair. The third time she hung up on me when I raised my voice saying I needed to speak with a supervisor.

I accepted the funds in lieu of replacement on April 18, 2023. Since the gift cards are electronic, there is no justification for this to take 30 days. This is simply an action on the part of CHW to hold onto funds longer to earn interest but at the expense of their customers. I have been forced to go to a laundromat for 2 weeks already and don't see why I should continue to be inconvenienced due to the greed of CHW. Karen

Choice Warranty did not uphold their decision when I appealed to their representative regarding whether my required repair would be covered before I agreed to have the repair contractor come out to examine my repair need on my faucet. Subsequently, I was left with paying a copay of $85 to the repair person without getting my faucet repaired. I needed to pay someone else to fix it at extra cost to me. Reneging on a decision is totally unprofessional and irresponsible.

My A/C broke, it's been 9 days and it's still not fixed. Choice Home Warranty (CHW) decided that they did not believe their own technician, and that the repairman did not prove to them that a new evaporator was needed, as per Brian (a supervisor in the call center). They sent another repair person who provided the same diagnosis, evaporator failed. Then they order the wrong part...to m ake a long story short tomorrow will be our 10th. day without A/C. In whose book is this great or even acceptable service?

Steer clear of this company. They refuse to fix our dishwasher & instead are offering to pay not even half of what it would cost to replace. They state they will only pay for what it costs them to replace but refuse to order it for us or replace it and instead will give us the money and make us replace. $249 for a $650 dishwasher, seriously. You also cannot talk to a manager or even get in contact with them. Aren’t willing to help in any way. Definitely pick a different home warranty.

When we call to explain that our issues are not fixed, all we get is “you have to submit your receipts”! We CANNOT submit receipts because no work has been completed! We are getting very frustrated because the company working with us can’t do the work until they get approval from choice home warranty and the warranty company wants receipts for work that has not been completed or even started! It is very frustrating and has been difficult to work with them.

I requested a technician to fix my dryer because it makes a loud noise. He came out twice and it’s still making that noise. I requested another company or technician to come out but I was informed if I want another company I would have to pay another fee. Feeling very frustrated.

Worst company ever!!! Do NOT use them. Everything is handled overseas and no one even has comprehension of what you are describing. Even the people who come to inspect or repair say they are horrible! I pay for the highest warranty they have. I had an electrical issue and an issue w my fridge. 1.5 years later I am still…STILL…dealing w those issues!! They outright lie about what the contractor has told them!

Terrible company to deal with. Dont give them 1cent. They do not truly take care of your problem, more often than not Screw you with finding a contractor, then after he is done, they refuse to pay their share.... On a scale of 1-10 Id give them a -50. If they contact you, NEVER DO A MULTIYEAR WITH THEM. They will offer you 5 yrs for 3 yrs cost .. but since they do NOT live up to the agreement...its 5 yrs of payment for nothing. Want proof look up Choice Warranty on Facebook.....Open the group andvread the thousands of people that THEY HAVE SCREWED!

Accused me of taking the refrigerant cover off causing the compressor to go bad on my a/c unit. When I explained no one has been on my roof since last year when I had the same symptoms I was asked so you have proof our technician did it, my response so you have proof he didn’t. I quit them, demanded my prorated money back and am contemplating becoming one of the many with a lawsuit against Choice since it cost me just shy of $7000 to have my unit replaced. My advice, steer clear of choice home warranty!

I ended up having to pay a third repairman 2 call visits and a filter on my own because the 2 repair men you sent would not come back and install a new filter. This was an extra 400 dollars on top of the 2 service calls I paid the repairmen you sent. Needless to say , I'm not a happy acustomer.

We have not made any substantial claims after paying almost $2,000.00 for a plan. A supervisor actually tried to make it seem that we have gotten our money’s worth for a repair of minor items, light switch which a was repaired in a shabby manner, repeat calls for a dishwasher and garbage disposal that wasn’t repaired properly the first time and few running toilets.

Choice home warranty has tried everything they can to not fix my air conditioner. We have had two different contractors out to look at the system and they have told CHW what needs to be done and they won’t listen to the professionals. At the present, I’m waiting for CHW to give me a e-mail to say that another company will be out to look at our air conditioner. This has been going on since 11 April. The warm weather is starting to rise and it would be nice for CHW to follow through on their obligations.

The company was not up front about their limitations, tried to make the contractors for my plumbing problem perform work that would have cost me more than if I did not use the warranty service, and do not communicate updated to claims via email, only via the website, which you must check every day. I emailed them to cancel service, and they still haven't reponded. If there were an option for negative stars, I would give 5.

The assigned repairmen were good two times, 3 Stoges the other two times. Late or no-show half the time, Denied claims over made-up or unsubstantiated reasons. Example: Heat pump stopped working. Tech was no call - no show on the first appointment. Then inspected the next day. Turned in the report that the fan motor was locked up, and recommended replacement. No exterior damage or poor condition of the unit was noted. Result - not approved for poor maintenance. Even though it is well maintained, free of debris, surrounding shrubs trimmed back, ect.

Sent out unqualified / licensed plumbers. Never able to get a straight answer from CHW nor the technicians for exactly what work to be done. LIed to by one tech and charged $320 for expansion NOT needed. After water heater changed out leaks appeared in piping. Next tech nor CHW would give answer to what work to be done but CHW stated charge to be $775. Can not prove first tech broke the piping which resulted in having to have repiping done. RIP OFF by CHW and techs!

I paid for 4 years upfront. I've had 3 claims in year 2 of contract. They denied everyone of them. Hot water heater, pool pump , pool filter system. They told me when I took it out that everything for pool was covered except pool light. I have inground. For the 3 claims I paid the service charge and ended up paying over $1800 for claims they should of approved. I live in arizona and choice home warranty is terrible. They lie and don't cover what they say they do. Buyer beware for sure.

Choice Home Warranty couldn’t find a technician for any of my problems that I had, so I used their reimbursement program. I was told by the technicians that I hired that the work they were doing was normal wear and tear. When I turned everything in to CHW, they informed me it wasn’t normal wear and tear, and wouldn’t pay any part of my reimbursements. I was furious as they tried to pay me a tiny fraction to keep me as a customer. I hope they treat future customers better than the way I was treated.
