My A/C unit went out on July 1st. It took a week for a technician to come out and find out the problem. Once they identified the problem they have to order the parts. They’re coming out on July 12th to fix it. We’ve had 90 degree heat during this time with no a/c. That’s unexceptable in my book. Not the first time I’ve had this happen either.

I am unsatisfied as a CHW customer. I have made 4 claims since i signed up and all 4 have been consistently lengthy in getting resolved. Never have been resolved in less that 2 weeks and has taken over 5 weeks. when technicians show up one said they never pay them for their service and another said they would not be returning as they do not pay and was having to threaten to get a lawyer to get their money. Made me not want to trust the company to re-imburse me if i hired my own technician after waiting for weeks to get service,.

It’s not that the company is bad or has not completed the work requested, but the contracted contractors sometimes fail and places a bad light on the company as a whole.

It appears that the claims are reviewed to look for denials vs coverage. The denial reason is not relative to the present claim that I made and the verbiage of the language is not clear. One pays timely and is loyal to the company, but it is disappointing to see that the claims representatives are trained to look for denials and not to help the customer's needs. The technician that came to my home was professional. He presented the findings to the company and Choice Home Warranty's claims rep was the one that IMMEDIATELY made the determination to deny.

Had it for 1&1/2 yrs. Refrigerator Broke no frig for three weeks the first time when it went out went out in less than 90 days later , broke again. Can’t get the parts ! Unavailable went without a fridge again for three weeks. Every time I call Choice they keep telling me to give them 24 to 48 hours. I will never buy it again I’m gonna cancel it !

I believe a home warranty is worth it but I may have to rethink using your customer care or company in the future as your representative told me I wasted their time. I didn’t ask them to contact me, but when they did I told them what I wanted and they couldn’t do it, so I wasted THEIR time. They told me the only thing they lost was time. I have found CHW to be generally slow to respond. It has become more difficult and time consuming to file a claim and some of the service people they have chosen seem questionable. Most recently, I was denied coverage on my refrigerator, because they determined that the problem was not “normal wear and tear.” Unless the appliance has been subjected to neglect or abuse or not used for the purpose it was intended, how is it not normal wear and tear when it stops working?

Takes too long to get approval. Taking a cold shower for 14 days is NOT my idea of fun! I had a plumber here today, diagnosed the problem with the water heater, ITS DEAD, cable light the pilot. It took over 35min for response, by then their window (9-5pm) had closed. So now I have to pay ANOTHER $65, have them come back to install the wh. We live 90 miles from any town. Unable to get parts. I may be canceling!

Warranty cases are handled by the company promptly but once they are outsourced to repair companies, it is often a long wait for a technician usually sometimes up to 5-6 days

Long wait for tech to be scheduled although my furnace was not working and it was cold. The customer service staff were polite but clearly had a script to follow. Choice Warranty does a great job marketing but clearly does not have enough technicians to provide service! When the tech finally arrived, he did a very good job.

Sometimes it seems like this warranty is a scam. All your marketing material says you cover water heater. When my water heater needed repairs, you denied the claim saying the tank is not covered. How do you cover a water heater without a storage tank? I have been a long-time customer, but the way you have been denying claim and not paying fair prices for items is frustrating.

I need my refund for 5 years program, I am super upset now for the service. Please refund my money asap. Their operators do not speak good English. They drop your call too much. They make you pay the $75 contractor fee multiple times even in the same job/complaint/appliance repair. They won’t replace old decrepit appliances, but will try to repair them and it cost you $75 each time a contractor comes out to fix the next part when they should have replaced the item to begin with. I am not renewing and not recommending anyone use this company. It is a sham.

I hate the fact that when an issue is brought instead of correcting the problem Choice likes to put band aids on problems. That's not how things should work. Especially as home owners dealing with issues. That's is the whole purpose of having the warranty. It's now pointless to me and I won't be renewing my warranty. It's always feels like jumping through hops and the fact you have to wait forever to get a tech out is crazy to me.

The plumber came took photos of the repair needed. The drainpipe that is hooked to the pipe coming out of the was was deteriorated and leaking bad. I just disconnected the section from the sink drain and placed it in the sink. The facet itself is disintegrating from the hard water, which is my assumption. All this was here when we bought this house. We have never had any problems til now. I don’t understand how this is not considered ordinary wear and tear!

When I was sold this warranty I was told that ALL interaction would be with a US Based customer service, NOT true. I spoke with a supervisor on the phone and when talking to her I could barely hear her and let her know that. Her response was NOTHING I can do about that! Trying to speak to someone that understands ENGLISH IN the US for claims in nearly impossible.

I disliked the fact I was told we would have someone out within 24 when sold my plan. It was 3 days later. I didn't like the fact they gave me a full 8 hour window of when they would be there and I had to cancel 2 important appointments. Lastly I was never told I would have to use a lowes gift card for replacements that is ridiculous. It's not even sent in a rush. I could be without a washer for another 30 days. I will never choose another choice warranty once mine is up.
