I wish that when I described my problem to the person to set up the claim he had told me then it wasn't covered. I did not realize it fell under that clause. all he had to do was tell me then and I would have said OK. But he set it up for Sunday. They didn't show although the guy said he called (he didn't I was here). When they showed up Tuesday and I paid for it you said it wasn't covered. Why couldn't you have just told me that when I called the first time. I'm on a fixed income and $45.00 means a lot to me.

Make sure you file a claim correctly even if you have an emergency. You will risk the bill not being covered. 3 rating based on amount of claim covered and forgetting about the initial terrible customer service.

This is the second time they told me an appliance was not covered All that happened with CHW sending out a plumber was it cost me $60..Unless you have time to read their whole book of covered items I suggest you do NOT buy it. My hot water heater itself was not covered...only the components! With the refrigerator they don't cover it if water is leaking from it. I definitely will not renew it! I had American Home Shield Home Warranty before and was very happy with it.

Your company makes it too difficult to link up with qualified contractors and/or technicians in a timely manner. You offer the alternative to recruit a contractor/technician of the customer's choice. The problem is that no qualified alternative practitioner as even agreed to be the go-between with me and your company, even if I guaranteed to pay their repair bill up-front.

Do not select this company as a home warranty They do not provide what they say read fine print they say they cover water heat yes parts not the tank really what parts do you need to cover if not the tank they fine reasons to not cover You must maintenance you’re heating every year and have proof to that fact that you have done it and pictures even so I still don’t warrantee your heating unit if you have all that proof they will not cover !! Although this type of failure wasn’t covered under our policy terms, this is only 1 out of the 15 systems and appliances in which we provide coverage.

have had three claims with Choice Home Warranty. Repair of oven, excellent. Microwave replacement, excellent. Dishwasher replacement, horrible. The person I dealt with for the dishwasher problem offered $169 then $200 plus and eventually going up to $349. CHW uses a mysterious value to replace the dishwasher, your cost. Since you don't replace, using your cost which is less than retail, seems arbitrary and unfair to the customer.

We have had Choice Home Warranty for 10 years, every time we have a repair that is going to be a significant expense they come up with a reason to not cover it. I have threatened to cancel my policy multiple times and they have talked me into staying. Mainly because I hated to be without anything. The last time service call cost was $100 only for them to deny the claim. Currently in a settlement claim.

Worthless warranty. They use hidden clauses to deny any claim submitted. Rust is one common reason to deny any claim. What HVAC unit (where outside handling unit is outside) does not have rust? Do not use Choice Warranty if you expect any service or coverage of the appliances you want covered. They are not going to repair or replace in either case.

Scam company. Look at the number of lawsuits against this company. Agents lie on the phone and tell you everything is covered. But when you get your contract you find many items that are not covered. Perfect bait and switch. Now I want to cancel and they want to change me a fee etc. Even though the agents tell you that you can cancel for free anytime etc.

Microwave starts and stops. We are now on the FIFTH call. Order was lost once, cancelled by Choice once (?) we’ve held on the phone TWICE for over 20 min and then been disconnected. FINALLY Fed Up we told idiot rep to cancel our policy. He quickly transferred us to the “Retention” dept. Here, the friendly salesman sweet talks you. They basically won’t let you cancel. He baits you with promises of 2 months free—nope. That didn’t happen. Microwave still broken. No one at a Choice cares, good luck to you.

I just purchase the total plan from them, the policy they sent to me only mention the coverage is for platinum and gold plans. There is no mention for Total plan. I asked the agent who sold me the policy and he doesn't even know about different plans exist. I don't know whether it is a scam or not. They also sell you database to other companies. They keep on calling me with different products to buy, even I told them I don't want it, she still keep on talking wasting my time and my cell minutes.

I had a warranty that included the pool and hot tub option. When my hot tub stopped working in the winter I filed a claim. They denied the claim on the basis that my hot tub was an above ground hot tub and that was not covered. My argument was that the majority of hor tub owners would have above ground hot tubs. They said businesses such as hotels have in ground hot tubs. So why offer hot tub coverage to consumers? I was not informed when opting for the coverage that my hot tub would not be covered because it was above ground

I like Choice but don't like their assessment of costs to replace appliances. my micro wave oven combo is $2500, Choice offered me 700 to replace it, based on their assessment that the average costs for replacing a micro wave oven combo is 599. I don't agree with their cost assessment. I think it should be higher. I couldn't find the same costs, don't know where they came up with that estimate.

We called to have someone out to look at our washer. The man that came out was great, told us what was wrong, gave us a repair estimate and said he would submit to Choice to see if they planned to repair or replace it. We got a response from Choice stating there were no mechanical issues found and no repairs were needed. I responded thinking they had made a mistake and they responded with the same exact verbiage as the first email. I am very disappointed!

I have been a customer for 3 years with CHW. On Jan 8, 2020, I called to report a hot water heater leaking. I finally had a service co come on Jan 13, 2020. The tech said the hot water heater needed replacing. He sent his report in and it was denied because they don't cover, "water holding tanks." I had to pay the service fee. Why didn't CHW tell me on the 8th that the heater wasn't covered? No hot water for a week is terrible! The service fee added insult to injury.
