If I could give this company zero stars, I would. We started a policy and immediately cancelled within 24hrs. The customer service was non-existent. The employees we dealt with were rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. I could just imagine what we would have to deal with if we ever had to file a claiim. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more with another company to be treated like a human being.

I have had several claims denied that should have been approved. What is the point in having a home warranty if you aren’t going to take care of my home needs? I will not be renewing with them. They send a different plumber to my home two days later than they sent another company. I specifically asked for the same plumber and they assigned someone different. After reassigning the contract to the plumber of choice, they denied my claim. Buyer beware

Requested service for a leaking shower faucet, they replaced the cartridge but did not cover the handle which was stripped. So had to pay extra for the faucet handle so we could use the shower.

They approved a couple of claims. The bigger claims they did not. Once my unit needed coolant and they would not cover it. So I had to pay the service call plus $300. I could have taken the money I’ve paid them saved it paid for repairs myself and had money left over. Other times there has been some fine print in the contract and they wouldn’t cover repairs. Also they have gone from $45 a month and $65 service fee to $85 a month and $100 service fee without proper notification.

The contractors they select are not professional. They constantly reschedule. I’ve been waiting 6 to 8 weeks now for a part for the oven. When I call for a follow up, they just say the part hasn’t come in yet. We’ll get back to you.

I dislike the fact that they sent someone out to my home that they have in their pocket, which means they know what to say so that your claim is not covered, when I purchased this warranty refrigerators was on the list , they charged 100.00 deductible and said my fridge was not covered, very disappointed, I should’ve listened to others before choosing this company

Very disappointed! They didn't have anyone who could respond to our septic tank backup for 4 days and when I got someone myself I had to pay $175 instead of just $75 . I had to pay $425 to the service company and I'll have to wait to get the $250 back that they WILL pay toward it as a reimbursement. In cases like this, they should pay the full amount when they can't find someone quickly and it is an emergency situation!

It took 6 days before someone came to look at my refrigerator. Then once they came out, had to wait another day for okay from Choice to let repairman fix it. Did without a refrigerator for 7 days.

I am really not sure how they have any positive reviews. Every time I have had to submit a claim it has taken several day to get a technician out to the house. Choice has also refused to cover items that are clearly covered. They have no technicians in our area and have to find folks from an hour or more away. It took me a month to get my air conditioner fixed in the middle of summer. We had American home shield for 5+ years and it was a great experience. I would avoid Choice.

I have had the worst experience with CHW. I submitted a claim 3 weeks ago about my water heater not working. It still has not been fixed or resolved. I have contacted them several times a week and they still haven't fixed it. They are horrible at communicating to me and the 3rd party. I bought this house and it came with CHW. I do not have a choice in changing the warranty program until i hit my year mark. Almost a whole month without hot water is ridiculous.

At first this seemed like a decent company. I switched from American Home Shield to Choice because of good ratings and lower price. But it seems to get harder to have a claim accepted. Our ice maker in the frig started to spit out broken pieces. The company that came to the house even said that the ice maker needed to be replaced. But Choice declined the claim saying it was not caused by normal wear and tear. That makes no sense. I will appeal but don't have my hopes up. When this contract expires, I'll be looking for a better home warranty company!

It’s a company that is out to make money and doesn’t care about the individual relying on insurance for any unforeseen discrepancy in the future. They say they cover certain components when purchasing their package and fail to tell you there’s a hidden policy that obsoletes their responsibility of coverage to HVAC. Ask for the actual policy contract and read in full. Do not rely on HCW if your AC is out. It took over 2 months in the heat of the summer to finally get a diagnosis and then be told will not be covered.

And still waiting for AC installation because of very poor communication between Choice Home Warranty and installation company plus irresponsibility On my property I have two senior citizens living without AC already for 15 days. They are great for paying the small claims - disposal, but do not cover the large items. We had a AC unit that went bad. They said that because the line had been contaminated, they would not cover it. That is a scam. The system had NEVER been worked on - how could the contamination got inside the line. Even the repair people they send out speak very poorly of this company. I will NEVER, NEVER do business with them again. Took my money and ran.

The company used by Choice Home Warranty should be fired. They never came to the The repair tech. never came to my house on the first appt. day. It took 12 days for them to call me back to fix my dryer and called at 12 noon of the day they wanted to come to do the repair (7/10). I told them that I installed the part that was mailed to my house and didn't need their assistances. I hope this company did not request payment from Choice for doing the repair. If I had waited for them to do the repair, it would have been 22 days from my request. Choice should never use this company again

I had good service up until the past time. My AC was out. The young man came and looked at it not real sure what he did. He turned it on. He left and it ran for like 10 minutes. I didn’t need it for the next couple days cause it wasn’t that hot and when I went to turn it back on it’s not working again. I have an appointment set up for next week but now you’re telling me that I have to pay the $85 again I paid $85 and didn’t even work so now I’ve been living in this house in my seat with these dogs. I am a senior it’s hard to be in the heat. .

) I don't like this company because what they promised me when I bought this insurance they told me that they were going to fix it for me but not the technician wanted to charge me $ 430.00 to fix it and I don't have that bone money everything they told me that company is a lie because I have to pay a lot of money he says that to make modifications that doesn't need to make modifications I just want them to be fixed for me no modifications because they say if we can't fix it for you we will replace it and that's not true that I don't recommend Choice Home Warranty

The sales team uses unethical bait & switch tactics. If you submit a claim they will either repair the item (after many weeks of waiting for multiple technician visits) or they will offer you a “cash out” settlement. Despite what the sales team will try and sell you on they DO NOT replace items and the cash out settlement will be a fraction (<50%) of what it will actually cost you to replace the item. Be prepared to pay a significant amount out of pocket if an item needs to be replaced. They will try to sell you on the idea that “all you have to pay is your service fee”. NOT TRUE!!

Awful customer service! Awful care for customer emergencies! AC broke down in 110 degree AZ weather, called for service and they had no-one available to service. Had to wait for 3 days before they approved me to find my own technician for a partial refund. I found a AC tech within minutes who arrived to service my AC unit immediately. Then I had to fill out a very long & detailed claim on-line reimbursement request to prove it was serviced and that I paid out of pocket. Never again will I use this company or refer it to anyone.
