I just submitted my second warranty claim. The first was flawless and was quickly resolved. The second claim was promptly addressed AMD the service provider was excellent. However, Choice Home Warranty denied coverage. How can they deny coverage for a part that, when broken, disables the AC system and a part the system cannot operate without? Ihave appealed, and depending on the result, I may change warranty companies. This "uncovered" item makes no sense.

This has been a horrific experience. Been without a refrigerator since May 10 and after 3 service calls and then to end up with less than 1/3 of the cost to replace my refrigerator is awful and I did not even upgrade, in fact, the unit I bought is smaller than the one I had to begin with. I know what to expect now from this company, Not to live up to what they tell you at time of sale.

Took longer than normal to find a technician. Also, the turn around time for approval should be during that technician visit, not 24-48 hours later. This add to the delay of repairs!

We were paying you since February an in June 3rd our pool pump went out n you said it was a pre existing thing it wasn’t n the tecnition told you it wasn’t never had a problem befor n you wouldn’t pay the bill 2000.00 we had to pay out of our pocket so no I don’t give you many stars had to pay a lot out to fix stuff after hurricane sally so didn’t have that to spare

Worst company ever, I believe all they are is just a scammer. They hounded me until I gave in, and it was the biggest mistake. They have a hard time finding someone that will complete a repair for an appliance that you have covered with their contract. It has been almost two weeks since I had an appliance break that is covered by Choice. I am thankful it is not in the middle of winter, and needed an urgent repair of a furnace.

I waited two days for them to find me a technician they could not find me one I called my own technician he gave me a price and an estimate and then they only offered me 1/4 of what the bill was so they offered me $100 towards a $400 bill people on the phone we’re very rude one person hung up on me one person basically had me on hold for 30 minutes the service is very poor and they do not have technicians in my area no matter what they tell you because they would’ve found one for me

Although the service person who did the repair work was excellent (One Drop Plumbing) and kept me in the loop with updates, it took two weeks for Choice Home Warranty to replace my water heater. That's a LONG time to be without hot water. I called, emailed and texted and talked to managers and it didn't help. And perhaps worst of all, I had to pay a total of $450.00. for this new water heater. (what's the advantage of insurance coverage if I have to pay so much(?) Since this was my first experience, my first claim, I'm disappointed and worried about further claims that may arise.

It's been a nightmare. Nothing gets done. We are 4 weeks old with no water and they just keep putting us off. It took 6 months for them to deny our septic system because it's not in the foundation. I don't know of any septic tanks in anyone's home foundation. Took 3 weeks to get a hvac guy out then they didn't even want to pay him. No one wants to work with this company. Run! Mary Buchta

2ND TIME I HAVE TRIED TO UTILIZE THIS SERVICE AND WAS AGAIN DENIED THEY DO SEND OUT VERY GOOD QUALIFIED REPAIR COMPANIES. HOW DO YOU FIX A ELECTRICAL PROBLEM, BUT YOU CAN'T REMOVE THE CEILING FAN CAUSE IT A COSMETIC ITEM, SO HOW DO YOU GET TO THE WIRING WITHOUT REMOVING THE CEILING FAN? BUT ONCE THEY DO THE INSPECTION AND CALL IN THE PROBLEM MY CLAIM GETS DENIED. READ YOUR EXCLUSIONS VERY CAREFULLY. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO UTILIZE THE SERVICE THAT I HAVE PAID FOR. GOOD LUCK TO ALL

I have always had a home warranty and switched from HSA a year ago just because they weren’t going to cover the refrigerant and my HVAC but I’ve had nothing but denied claim s... most recently they said they wouldn’t replace a cartridge on a faucet because it failed due to sediment… The faucet was installed less than a year ago . They denied HVAC repair because they said the foils were rusted… While I had pictures and three statements from HVAC technicians that they were not rusted. That decision to switch to Choice has cost me a lot of money

The process for submitting a claim is very easy and the communication is good CHW needs to inspect systems prior to putting them under warranty. We have had issues with an appliance and it has cost us significantly with damage it has done to the house

Choice promised in country point of contacts and calls, but they sub-contracted a company (sears) who is out of the country. Sears scheduled, picked up the work order then no showed. Then i had to take a 2nd day off to ahve them come. It took 4weeks to get a washer fixed. I will never buy a warranty again, instead I will pay a local to come fix items.

The worst company ever!! does not fix ceiling fans with lights. Does not fix water heaters. Denies all claims. And takes HOURS to speak to a customer rep from the Phillipines. Rude customer service. Didnt fix a leak in my refrigerator (5 weeks later), Rust appeared and BOOM, can't cover because there was rust?? But wasnt rusty 5 weeks ago, SAVE YOUR $ THEY ARE AWFUL

Well it is coming up on three weeks that my hot water heater has not worked properly. I got caught between the technician who said they would not come repair it and Choice that said they would. Then the tech said the water heater was leaking, which it isn’t, so Choice denied any repairs. I appealed the decision and Choice said they would repair it but I still do not have an appointment. It has been 2 weeks since the initial diagnosis.

CHW is full of surprises when you need something fixed. some are good. others not so good - to find out that the part which causes a problem is not covered (toilet flange) is not covered is not great, so in addition to paying CHW a large amount of money each year, need to pay the plumber to complete the job

My AC went out on Saturday. Choice wouldn't send anyone till Monday because they won't pay for Saturday service. I called my own technician because they said I could get reimbursement. When I tried to get reimbursement, they found little details and rules that I didn't know about to deny my claims. Rust and corrosion is not covered. Blocked drain lines and mold is not covered. Total waste of money. Don't sign up they don't cover AC unit repairs.

My AC unit is approximately 20years old according to the information on the units and the technician that came out. And it’s time for a replacement they usually last 10-15 years. They have denied the claim to replace the one that’s out saying it’s not due to normal wear and tear. Just anything to not cover the expenses. The woman at the customer service was super rude and unprofessional.Before you decide to go with this company Please check the BBB site and check out the lawsuits against them.

Choice Home Warranty advertises and sells warranties claiming to cover home appliances. If a covered appliance needs repairing, CHW uses technicalities and legalese buried in the fine print to avoid repairing the items they claim to cover. This company eagerly takes client’s money and greatly in increase renewal fees but don’t expect reasonable performance.

Our upper AC unit stopped working. Technician came & checked it out, gave us a diagnosis and never submitted a ticket to CHW. When he left, our lower AC unit was now not working. We called the company multiple times with no response all while having to endure Georgia’s heat wave. Now, with the additional issue of the lower AC unit we had to pay the service fee again only to find that the first technician never turned our lower AC unit back on. The second technician came, wrote a ticket and CHW denied our claim. So, we’re out $170 with nothing fixed that could’ve went to repairs.

It took me several days to get a plumber and when one came the sink was broken in the process of him trying to unstop it and Home Warranty denied my claim to fit it. My sink is still stopped up and the plumber was supposed to check my running toliets which was not done. I was told I would get a call back and I never did. The customer service is awful. I have called several times, brote emails and sent text without a response. I piad Monet and got no results.

So far, with the 2 claims I have submitted, nothing has been done to remedy by problem. One took 2 months to act upon, and my issue was not resolved. This time the tech for fixing my a/c didn't show up. When I texted him, he said his car was stolen and he was busy dealing with that. I've gotten no communication about rescheduling. I'm on day 5 without a/c. This is one of the worst companies I have experienced. I need to review my contract to see when I can get out of it.

Your Account Executive, Nathaniel J, was impatient and came off like I was bothering him by asking questions. It was a horrible purchase experience. Additionally, I asked to speak to a supervisor multiple times at the end of the call and he wouldn’t let me speak to one. Highly disappointed by the level of service provided and quite frankly only chose to go through with the purchase because of a strong family referral. I sincerely hope that Mr. J’ behavior isn’t indicative of the customer service provided by Choice Home Warranty.

You are told when you buy the warrantee that it will cover home appliances when they fail even if you are just purchased the home. Then you place a claim and they say you have no coverage. I wonder why I pay for coverage. If something fails- it isn't covered.
