My very first experience with CHW was good when it came to response time and dispatching the tech; however, the work was denied and I now need to pay for replacing an AC unit out-of-pocket. I paid for several years of service upfront and am "VIP status" but it means nothing to the big business.

I was misrepresented to on the phone call when I purchased the product. I was honest and told the representative that we currently had another company and we’re experiencing bad customer service as it related to a A/C claim it was assured that I could sign up and have immediate coverage. I was later told if that was considered a pre-existing and would not be covered.

Long wait for help to arrive. Could have caused a disaster. Very contradictory plan of action saying there's no emergency help given but all appliances covered , if broken, can create a disaster emergency. Not good. This creates impossible coverage by this company. My case was delayed first off now delayed again due to appeal. A wrong interpretation was made by choice warranty which is not supported by the worker report , nor by any photos nor by an independent contractor I paid for myself

I submitted a claim last Monday to simply replace a flush tank system in my mother in laws bathroom. I was sent an email that service would not be available until Thursday. Thursday came and went without anything being done only to have an service person come out Friday morning to be told he needed authorization. Now we are waiting for some response for Monday or Tuesday? Poor at best.

I have had a Choice warranty for several months and last week I called for service. My appointments have been cancelled without notice 3 times now. I called last week and asked to speak to a manager - I was told I can't speak to one but they will 'email' a manager and they will call in 24 hours - no one ever called. Service is abysmal. They work hard to sell you a policy but never deliver. I am in Colorado. They provide a telephone # for the tech who is scheduled but the phone is never answered and messages are never returned. Stay away from this company!

Terrible company. I made my first claim 3 months after purchasing the policy, and they immediately assumed it was a pre-existing issue. Also, their contractors are incompetent and even talk bad about the warranty company. We are not able to choose another plumber to take care of our issue, even though this plumber has no idea how to work on a shower panel.

Zero stars, you didn’t serve me! I put in a claim because my hot water heater wasn’t working. Days later I’m still waiting for you to respond to my claim. Meanwhile I’m receiving calls from your representatives trying to sell me a policy and I already have one that I have never used since 2019 but paid for. Then you send me an email stating that you can’t find a “technician” in my area? What kind of game is this? I’m very disappointed in your service and cannot provide a recommendation for CHW.

Choice Home Warranty has refused to cover an adequate or reasonable amount of the work needed. Even though Choice states that they have a cap of $3000 per system or claim, they are only authorizing $500 out of about $2100 of quoted work. They "bad-mouth" other home warranty companies and tout their $3000 cap per claim, but do not "live up to" their contract terms.

I like the simplicity of booking an an issue and he quickness at which I get a tech out. I don't like that I was told my service would be warrantied for 90 days, but then when it broke again I had to create a new ticket and pay an additional fee (warranty is BS)?

I'm so disgusted with Choice How Warranty that when the work is completed, I'm cancelling. I reported my refrigerated quick working Aug. 8th. I'm getting it fixed Aug. 18th. My refrigerator is completely out. Waiting 10 days is way too long. I also reported my oven wasn't working at the same time I reported my refrigerator and it's finally being fixed on Aug. 22nd. This is the worst customer service of any company I have ever encountered.

I have been with Choice Home Warranty for almost two years and the customer service has been consistently declining. I am stuck with them because I purchased a 3 year warranty. My most recent frustration was an AC system repair, they sent one contractor who charged me for washing the outside condenser and adding freon I paid ($400.00). Had to call CHW back out for the same problem three weeks later. This time they declined the claim. I ask for a supervisor who called one time left a message and never returned my call. It is no wonder they have a "D" rating with the Better Business Bureau.

I have an open claim on my central air-conditioning system. I have had no air-conditioning since August 3, 2022. I am still without air-conditioning on August 16, 2022. I was informed that I would have have a call from a case worker today (August 16) at 10:00 A.M. It is now 10:35 A.M. and no one has called to explain what the delay is. Your company has NOT fulfilled its obligation to a paying customer.

In the Sioux Falls area, Choice has a limited network of technicians to meet the customer's repair needs. My boiler is currently out, and Choice does not have a technician under contract to repair my boiler. I have contacted several companies, and they do not work with Choice due to the administrative procedures that Choice requires. My research indicates that Choice is a reputable company, but I would not recommend them if you live in South Dakota.

I would not recommend this company . I spent way too much time on the phone trying to get someone to settle my claim. I was assigned a caseworker and she would not answer my emails or get back to me after several phone calls. When she finally got back to me she gave me a difficult time in getting my case settled. She complained about her case load and she claimed that she was overworked. I told her that my time was also important and I would be cancelling my agreement with Choice Home Warranty.

I've been calling each day for over a month because my central A/C unit is broken. At first, Choice Home Warranty's Customer Service Associates would tell me the technician would be out the next day but that never happened. More recently, they keep saying that they have a new contract and the vendor will be there the next day. I'm a 73 year old woman whose already been to the hospital once - Choice Home Warranty should be ashamed that it is not honoring their contract especially regarding elderly people.

I paid for three years up front for my warranty. It cost around $1,300.00. I have only had three items that I tried to claim a warranty repair on. They were all denied. Since finding there seems to be nothing that ever gets covered, I have started checking into this company and that seems to be a pretty consistant complaint. Nothing ever gets covered as they have so many exceptions that do not get covered. I just basically gave this company $1,300.00 for nothing.

I was pleased with the quick response. But my washer was recommended to be replaced. I like the idea of them giving me a gift card from lowes. But they only gave me half the price of a replacement of equal size. I talked to the adjuster and was told that is the amount they can get for But I can't get it from you. So why do I pay for insurance when I have to pay additional money on top of the deductible. I am new to choice and I am very disappointed in your service. I will be closing my account.

During the hot summer months in the south, you left my family with no A/C for 14 hours where the house became 97 degrees, instead of allowing me to find my own technician asap, you made me wait forever. when I called for my own technician he came in 10 minutes. I will be leaving choice home warranty when it expires in January due to this horrible experience.

The customer service seems good, but they deny warranty work more frequently as i have heard and as it also happened to me. They denied my claim because they deemed it preexisting condition and that the system was not in good working order. The system has had no problem in the last 5 years and more. The recent heatwave overworked it. Despite knowing this fact they denied the coverage.

They will tell you whatever you want to hear to sell you the produce. They promised all sorts of things and then back talked or qualified the original promise when we had a claim. They offered us $246 as "full replacement value" for a one year old dishwasher. They said that WAS the full replacement cost for a wholesale version but they had to way to facilitate us purchasing one wholesale. I think home warranties are a scam and am quitting and putting that monthly fee into a savings account instead.

Took over a week and a half to get someone out to fix my air conditioner during the hottest part of the summer! Was forced to go out and buy window ac’s just so we could sleep at night! I have been a customer for 3 years now and by far the worst customer service I ever dealt with! Asked to speak with a manager several times and never heard from one in the week and a half! But they still call me everyday to renew!! I would give 0 star if it was an option!

Not good right now because my claim has been denied and there is not a solid reason for the denial. We bought the house, there was no issue with the shower that we were aware of. The issue arose and we reported it to you for coverage after purchasing the agreement for your services. I feel as though y’all won’t cover anything we report at this point so I have no level of satisfaction at this time. It feels unjustified for you to have denied the claim - not sure why the tech wrote in his notes but obviously it’s incorrect and impacting my coverage for this item. Not happy at all!!
