When I purchased everything was great. When I filed a claim they try to get you to do everything on line instead of talking to a human. Customer service rep was nice. Service tech showed up, performed diagnosis and submitted the claim which was declined. Found out from the service tech that this is a common practice. They find something in the diagnosis or repair that is excluded and deny the whole claim leaving you with the bill. After all, they already have your money, why would they pay anything out, that's not good business. Needless to say I am canceling my policy

Do not choose this company!! Waiting 7 days for dryer repair. Keep telling me Seaeching for a certified technician in your area. They want me to hire someone and submit the expense. They obviously have no business relationships with businesses in CT.. The second claim was denied for a water leak at an elbow. They don't cover corrosion. Customer service very poor. Canceling coverage and going with a reputable company.

I never got things fixed the first time. The technician will come out and would not know how to fix it. Takes weeks to fix one appliance by calling Choice back numerous times talking to technicians, etc. etc..... Choice never resolved the problem at the first time. I had to go through 2- 3 companies & will take weeks. This time, they declined to fix my exiting water heater. It took them almost a month to tell me that they are not going to fix my water heater. I do not recommend this company! Horrible service!

I am researching warranties and after adding my phone number to their website, Choice Home Warranty called me before I even got off their web page. The sales person was pushy, and kept offering me his next best deal, I told him I was looking for price and product, but when I told him I need to do more research, he said I obviously was not looking for either if didnt choose them, told me I was contradicting myself and hung up on me. Sorry, but Im surrounded by jerks all day, I'm not gonna pay money to someone to be one to me. I'll look elsewhere.

Called for service and it took the service rep four tries to get my name right. Then she kept putting me on hold only to finally tell me the drip in my bathroom faucet was not covered. Asked to speak to a supervisor and she said none were available Was on the phone for 35 minutes to schedule an appointment. Terrible service. Will not renew my contract

I haven’t signed up yet, but definitely WILL NOT with my experience with them so far. I said I was interested in their warranties 2 days ago and have since then been called 8 times, have 3 voicemails, numerous emails, and had somebody blow me off an hang up when I said I couldn’t talk because I was at work. Every time I have talked to somebody they have tried to get my credit card information. I don’t feel like they really care, they just want my money. The oppressive number of times they have tried to get my information makes it feel like a scam.

Abo I bought a 3 year policy and was told that if I didn't like the policy after a year I could get a full refund on the last 2 years... this is a lie... I had a washing machine issue that took them over a month to send out 3 different companies before they completely destroyed my $650 washer machine and gave me a check for 300 to replace it... I live way out my country it was hard not having a washing machine, if that had been my refrigerator my AC or my heat I would have been totally screwed! All I want is my 600 back!

Went online to get a quote. Within a few minutes of providing an online quote I received a call from a fast talking salesman. He tried several times to close the sale. I told him I was still shopping and wanted to check reviews. Once he determined he was not getting a sale today he became angry and abruptly ended the call. Not the type of people I would want to do business with.

Do not get your insurance with them. I had a 34 year old water heater that was leaking and they refused my claim. The contract did say they don't cover anything that retains water, but really, do they think water heaters last forever, it's 34 years old for goodness sake. I cancelled my policy, read your contact very carefully. There find print will get them out if paying for just about everything.

Stay away from them. I signed up with them for 4+ years. When I filed a claim to come and fix the refrigerator. First they kept canceling the appointment and finally after a month the person who came, spent less than 5 minutes and said compressor was not maintained so they will not cover. I finally called someone on my own and they changed a panel and fixed it, there was no problem with the compressor. CHW is a scammer just like their subcontractors. I would like to cancel my contract but even then they bill every month. I do not recommend this company at all.

THEN I Reviewed complaints on the web and Facebook groups just like yourselves with their nightmares dealing with your company. Too many lies and hidden wording they experienced with your contract. Let’s not forget the unqualified contractors who you recommend. And pro rating the appliances...what a joke....No thank you. You may have been a great company I. The beginning, however you have lost the trust of customers.

It is never mentioned in your sales pitch that you don't pay retail for a replacement , and the money you offer is a joke. Your last rep informed me that that there was a new range at Home Depot priced at $379,(she offered $349.99. We went to Home Depot website and found NONE for less than $800. You are rip-off artists.

HVAC went out and they are trying to say it was due to an "electrical" surge. Total BS. My husband has been an HVAC technician for 30 years and never had an electric surge happen that caused an HVAC to burn out. Many other reasons but not a surge. Now I have to get an attorney involved and file a BBB complaint because they want to find outrageous reasons to deny your claim. To boot, husband had knee replacement surgery so we have been home for weeks, no surge ever, no tripped breakers. They think they can just make up reasons to deny a claim.

I had a claim for a toilet. It was determined it needed to be replaced. I was offered $250 to replace it. My home is valued at $550,000.00 . My toilet is a $1,200.00 toilet. so I was caught off guard by the low ball offer. They said they can only replace at a builder grade. I went with this company because it was recommended by my agent. This company is the worst, they try to short you on your replacement, customer service agents are rude. I plan on canceling my service.

I am very disappointed with CHW. They declined repairing or replacing a coil on my air conditioner on the basis that the unit is 10 years old. Beware buyers CHW do not honor their warrant if the cost of repair or replacement is high. Their Claims manager, April was totally cold towards my appeal . I cancelled my contract on the spot. I declined it and a case manager called me. I got the amount up to $450 but I am still unhappy because I was told if I ever need a replacement it would be something of similar value. This is not true. I feel like I was lied to just so I would sign up. I will probably be cancelling my warranty and going with another company.

very disappointed in my selection of home warranty service with Choice. your service technicians only rip off the customer. case in point. my heating issue with my air conditioner heat pump. Bill plumbing heating diagnosed leak in system with no refrigerant. not true. after i called a true professional Olandi HVAC he performed a correct test and found the problem was with the circuit board. simple replacement. now Choice is only reimbursing me $98.00 for his $200 bill. doesn't seem fair since they said this was covered. I will not be renewing my policy when due.

Be the customer of Choice Home Warranty for a couple year, I'm very disappointed by my first service call. The central AC doesn't work lately. I called for service and file a new claim. After a week, they denied the coverage because the rust or corrosion are not covered. JUST BEWARE THAT THEY CAN USE RUST OR CORROSION TO GET AWAY FROM COVERAGE FOR PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING.

Well it's a week and my garage door opener is not even scheduled to be fixed. A garage door that can't be secured. A week to get the microwave looked at. It's probably going to be best to return to total Protect. The savings isn't worth the waiting. The longest it took total to fix anything was two days. I haven't even heard a word since the guy was hear to look at the opener. Then they also told me they will replace my quality opener with a builders grade. Total replaces quality with quality.

Customer Service after sales is not the best. I reported a problem on my refrigerator and stove and in both cases had the worst experience getting them fixed. They took. I responsibility for the fridge and for the stove, I waited 3 months with no response until I called again to check and the response was that the case was closed because the Technician they sent never reported anything to them. I don’t think I will want to renew it after it expires.

If I could go 0 stars I would. This company fights every claim, and does not pay vendors. I signed with them because their phone rep assured me that I would have coverage on a home for my daughter 3 hours away from me. Little did I know that they were no more than a scam. I had to find my own vendors as none in the area would work with them. Then when I sent the bills to them for reimbursement, the claims were all denied even with valid documentation. It is no wonder that the State of New Jersey is pursuing action against these guys. I hope other states will pick it up as well.

Never in my life have I experienced the level of curt behavior and rudeness from people whose job is it to deal with the public. The company would do well to invest in training programs that instill respect for others; believe me, it doesn’t exist at Choice Home Warranty.

I had a horrible experience with the call center, will not renew or recommend choice home Warranty to anyone. One person said my septic tank was covered another said it wasn’t . I Spoke to a very rude person who would not let me speak she just kept talking over me . This company needs to be more specific about what is actually covered when signing up for coverage. I was misled about what I was purchasing. Never again!!!!!

Home choice warranty would not stand behind their policy on plumbing leak. After two inspections by two different technicians, the case was still denied on the base of "rust and corrosion". Which was never point of failure. In fact, those words were implied by the case worker. Not to mention, according to the companies brochure, rust and corrosion is covered. The case worker assigned to me was the worst experience I've had in my entire life. She was very impolite, rude and downright horrible at customer service.
