I made a claim online about our A/C not cooling and they sent someone out the next day to repair it and all we had to pay was the small service fee. Fantastic service

My A/C got damaged due to unspecified Issue. The compressor windings grounded to ground. My tech determined the cause of failure of your system is the compressor has shorted to ground. But Compressor burnout is not failure specific: It can be caused by high temperatures in the windings. The excessive heat breaks down the motor winding insulation, which Could causes a loss of electrical resistance and results in the windings breaking open and touching the inner casing causing the direct short. But the cooling of the refrigerant only works as an agent to lubricate and cool theCompressor house and innermost mechanical parts, not the windings of the compressor. For the refrigerate does not pass through the windings for that is an electrical part not a mechanical part. Dirty Condenser coils can restrict air flow and this cooling process of both the refrigerant and the compressor itself. But the tech didn’t mention anything of the condenser coils being dirty, in fact the tech said that everything seem in good working condition. It couldn’t have been a power spike or surge That would cause the compressor to short Out the windings For there is no burn wires or connections due to high amp draw on the compressor that would cause the overheating and internal melting of the wires or other components. If contaminants of some sort enter the sealed refrigerant system that would be probable but that would only had happened when my past technician made test and diagnostic. prior failed compressor Is not posible for that’s the original compressor and it hasn’t failed until now. That non-condensable such as moisture or braze residue that found its way into the system is probable, but the system was installed and vacuumed out properly when It was first installed back around 2010 and has never been unsealed. And if that’s the case it would have broken down a long time ago, not 10 years later. debris from gauge hook ups, these could also cause the failure of the compressor, that also is probable but that’s is something that has to be done in order to check out the system for proper operation. And this is So for all HVAC system, plus they would all break down if that’s the case. Your right contaminants in the line that are not able to be properly compressed Will cause High temperature failures as such, are operating conditions that are not standard and units are not designed to handle and may have been avoided with effective routine maintenance. But there is no evidence of that in this case. So we can point out a million things that can cause the compressor to break down but the is no clear evidence so in the absence of evidence you can not say For sure that the compressor did not give out due to normal were and tear. So with out clear evidence there is no reasonable doubt that it has failed due to normal were and tear. fails when its windings short to ground, short to each other, or open--a break in the winding's wire. Insulation failures, including winding that is shorted The coil, could typically be caused by contaminants, abrasion, vibration or voltage surge. However, electric motors can be prone to any number of issues that lead to motor faults and failures, which can disrupt operations, decrease productivity and adversely impact a bottom line, lost. Electrical failures, including caused by an opening from a blown fuse, open contactor, Insulation break down, broken power line or bad connection, which disrupts the power supply to the motor. Thermal deterioration of insulation in one phase of the stator winding, which can result from unequal voltage between phases due to unbalanced loads on the power source, a poor connection at the motor terminal, or high resistance contact; or thermal deterioration in all phases of the stator winding typically due to load demands exceeding the rating of the motor or by very high currents in the stator winding due to a locked rotor. It may also occur as a result of excessive starts or reversalsAnd even a bad capacitor. Looseness and bearing failures. Another common fault stems from mechanical rubs, which can be the result of looseness of the motor shaft and/or the motor bearings. The most common mechanical faults are shaft imbalance, looseness, misalignment, and bearings. Often these mechanical faults are related: shaft imbalance, looseness, or misalignment left uncorrected will cause increased forces on the bearings which leads to rapid wear of the bearings. Causing the motor to work even harder. So it can be wear, and tear, or simply old age, failures occur due to various causes. Having a engineer look at this would better helps you identify, evaluate, and resolve this issues that arise over time. The point is that it broke down and the cause is undetermined and of none fault of my own. I keep the system clean and maintain, but Choice Home warranty doesn’t want to pay for repairs. They find the smallest things to blame the client and not pay.

Rekey service is a no brainer for new home purchases. $65 and 4 doors get rekeyed and 4 new matching keys. The locksmith was super professional and easy to schedule.

Awful customer service goes at the top of my list. We live in Arizona. It’s summertime, high/low is 90/115. Our AC blows (literally exploded, done, not repairable) so we call them ASAP to file a claim. They have a tech chosen by them that will come look at it in 6 days. 6 days. 6. My family and pets are in a hotel for 6 days as the temperature of the home is not livable. That alone cost me more money than the warranty itself. I called the company so many times and got different answers across the board about what I can/should do. They wouldn’t let me even get a different tech to look at the unit in a timely manner. Was hung up on by someone (they didn’t even have our full information yet) and just given the go around. On top of having to deal with the stress of broken AC I had to spend a whole day talking to people from the warranty company and getting no where. Wouldn’t recommend.

My last 2 experiences with CHW were negative I was not able to get authorization to personally contact a 2nd technician after the 1st was unable to fix my A/C unit and he also recommended that I contact the original installer. My cost was $150 labor (parts were under warranty) Yesterday (Friday), I was given the online option to personally contact a technician because no one responded to my claim. Friday late afternoon, when he attempted to get an authorization by phone no one answered at CHW and I did not receive a call back for over an hour after the Water Heater tech did the repair and left. $100 charge for labor! The instructions for getting an authorization are unclear that the tech must file a claim with diagnosis to acquire that authorization. The tech will not be able to complete the form on line until Monday (4 days later). I spoke to customer service regarding both issues - was told that I would not be getting a reimbursement for the $150 and "should" get the $100 for the water heater repair once the technician completes the form on line. (post repair) We will see. I most likely will be cancelling the current policy - paid though 9/2023 and not renewing my other home policy when it runs out 9/2020 I seems that the options for contacting a qualified technician changed to meet CHWs needs and not the customer. I have been a customer for many many years on several properties and never had such an unsatisfactory result!

I called because my AC wasn't working. 24 hours later, no call from anyone to come and fix the AC. So, speaking for the third time to customer service in foreign countries, I called Home Advisor and found my own AC repair company. Hudson Air came out and fixed my AC in 1 hour, and Choice approved the repair and they say they will reimburse me in the next 30 days. So, I did their job for them, but AC works now.

I feel obligated to other customers to be fully aware of the tactics, unprofessionalism, and criminal behavior by both Choice Home Warranty employees Melody R, Rebecca from Customer Loyality Department, and both David and Edwin owner and operator of Emergency Response HVAC-R Services, 3234 Lee Rd. Snellville, Ga. 30039. GA REG# CN 210813. (706) 254-4773. On June 4, 2020. Choice Home Warranty-sent David to my home for air condition repairs. First off, David arrived an hour late, never called, requested $65.00 up front before looking at anything- in a extremely rude tone. I guess he was aware that I called in on the company because of unprofessionalism (tartyness). Also when I attempted to call the company to get an understanding of the delay; the owner of the company Edwin, never answers the phone and does not have a voicem ail set up for the business-suspicious. I was lied to by David concerning the repairs and parts that were needed to fix the air condition-in TWO WEEKS. It was 80 degrees and I am a Senior Citizen, Retired Military, and a customer in need. However, the claim was denied and I was referred to another phone ghost- Melody R, who did nothing and only returns calls and emails on SUNDAY?? She stated she would call me back and call the company the misrepresented themselves. That callback from her never happened and she was of ZERO help! I had another technician come out two days later and fix the wires and both those attached to the compressor and one wire that was just dangling lose, which he asked why did David a trained and license professional just leave the wire hanging-WOW.. The company is not listed with the BBB, the company is not even listed in the google search. I became alarmed that these people are possibly running some undercover business-so I spoke to Customer Loyality department which I got off the internet and spoke with a rude Rebecca that actually hung up on me. Between David, Edwin, Melody R, and Rebecca-they have proven that Choice Home Warranty is a rip off and get you to enroll in auto draft monthly payment, sign a longterm agreement, and then send "BOOTLEG" buddies to slowly identify reasons not to cover your claim..PLEASE BEWARE and return to AMERICAN HOMESHIELD IMMEDIATELY. This nightmare went on from June 4th to the 21st.

I just had a very bad experience because of the coverage we have with Choice. Our central a/c had been out for several days this past week and when I called for service I was told by one of your representatives that you do not offer emergency service so we had to wait several days with no a/c to get anyone to even come. When a service man from a company in Tampa (which is not even close to where we live) finally came yesterday, I was told that our policy does not include any coverage for water so it cost us $875 to get a pump installed to solve the water problem with our central air-conditioning system. So needless to say I am not happy at all with Choice Home Warranty right now and we will reconsider after our contract expires whether we will be renewing with your company. We are very disappointed that it’s costing us so much money out of pocket with what we thought was good coverage, but evidently is not.

Choice offers quality service and respond in a timely manner. We especially trust Robert who has been so wonderful in helping us out in so many ways. We are thankful.

I like the fact that when something breaks down you have something to fall down to, BUT a lot of the times there is no contractor available and they give you the choice of supplying your own, which is fine but a lot of contractors do not want to be bothered in calling and receiving approvals

The service was delayed by 1 day but I believe due to July 4th long weekend. But overall we are happy with the service and technician was very profesdional.

I didn't like that I had to wait over the holiday weekend to get my ac repaired, but overall I was satisfied with the outcome! The Technician was very knowledgeable and respectful! I will continue to use the service!

Slow Service, response, poor communication! My air went out the wed before the 4th of July. It took them two (2) days to send out a repair person. He arrived on the 4th and the entire inside system needs replacing. Here we are on monday and it will take 2-5 days for the equipment to arrive and then another couple days to wait for a service installation This means approximately 2+ weeks without any air in the 100 degree heat of Texas. They dont have any means of expediting repairs or speeding up their otherwise slow and ineffective system. Or rather they do not want to! NOT IMPRESSED AND STILL sitting in the 100 degree heat!

When I bought this warranty, I was told service was same or next day. Now it turns out, it is at the whim of whatever company you subcontract to and sometimes as long as 4-6 days. This is not what I signed up for. If my Ac or plumbing breaks, how can i wait 4+ days???? Then when I called to talk to customer service, the agent just offered platitudes and at some point just stopped talking. I kept saying 'hello', I could hear him on the other end but he kept silent.

Sales rep emailed me an extensive list of the covered items. I had nine email conversations and two phone calls asking questions about coverage. After I paid for a policy, he emailed me the complete contract which included covered items and an extensive list of excluded items. I was saddened to find out that this policy does not cover a tankless water heater. This was not explained to me in my many emails or phone conversations with the company. Why should anyone buy a home warranty, when the home warranty clearly states it covers water heaters and then states in the exclusion list it doesn't cover my tankless water heater? So, 2 hours after I paid for the policy and read it, I called the sales rep and left a message, I've also emailed him stating I wish to cancel my policy with this company. The coverage is not due to begin until August 18th so I have not used any of the coverage to date. At the moment, I am trying to get my $500 back which I prepaid. Interestingly enough, the sales rep tried to sell me a 5-year policy. I would strongly suggest caution with Choice Home Warranty. I will be searching elsewhere for a home warranty.

I called today to get some information regarding a home warranty for my mom, who is a widow and I was unfortunate enough to speak to a very dis-engaged employee. As a suggestion, the leadership at Choice Home Warranty may want to have some employee engagement exercises or incentives to improve the sales departments stats. After I read the information online, I was thinking about switching my warranty. Of course the sales person I encountered on the phone changed my mind within 2 minutes. I just had a few questions to ask about coverage area and items covered and he did not have time for my questions and referred me to the website. Just signed up today, agent was pushy and rude after I paid for my first year. He kept insisting I upgrade to a three year deal and when I refused he stated "you're a customer now, good bye" and hung up on me. I almost called back immediately and cancelled. Hopefully if I ever need this service the support will be better than sales.

The last technition was grate. Professional, knowledgeable, neat and polite. Perfect job. AC is working better then before. Grate job. One before him - total opposit, wouldn't recomend at all. Would recomend not to let him in. Took to long to get all approved to start the repair. That is why 3 stars out of 5. If timing was better 5stars.

My first claim was my dishwasher. It had to be replaced and I had to negotiate to get less then $300. and I was a Realtor for years. The companies always replaced what they could not fix. The ceiling fan in the kitchen switch did not work. They could not get parts for either of these., Now 2 burners on my stove are out. The estimate is $900. They say the range was recalled, but have not given me any information about the recall or how to apply for it and are not giving me any money for my stove which has a convection oven, warming drawer, warming burner. It was an expensive stove,

They were OK with an appliance repair last year but this year our air conditioner went out and they have been unresponsive continually. We have called left messages and emails trying to get confirmation of our new unit being ordered and or delivered. When we call we have to wait for a call back that often comes as one ring and a hangup and when I do get someone on the line they have to continually check Our status. When they come back from hold they pretend not to be able to hear me and then hang up. They don’t call back even though they called me initially and have my number. I’ve had no response from my personal claims administrator in the past 2 1/2 weeks. I’ve sent emails and left numerous voice messages. I have had great experiences when i needed help with small things, however when my AC unit went out and needed to be replaced (i paid for the upgrade to cover this) i was only given $1500 for this replacement. i am not at all happy with this and am considering discontinuing my contract with them. i have no complaints or concerns about the service professionals they sent to my home, but i could have found them myself online.

Customer service needs a lot of work and more should be covered for a loyal customer of 5+ years. Something so simple as a programmable AC thermostats is NOT COVERED??! yea I am not satisfied and as a Realtor, I will no longer refer buyers/sellers to your company! I will look into changing my policy to a more compassionate company with better customer service.

I noticed my A/C was blowing hot air on Sunday (6-28-20) after waking up for work. I got online and completed a claim with CHW. Response stated contractors had 6 hours to respond to take my repair request. I got an email and telephone call stating a contractor took my repair but would not be out until Tuesday (6-30-20) between 11 am and 3 pm. I (family and pets) live in Phoenix and could not wait that long as the temperatures are above 100 degrees during the days. I responded to CHW through my claim asking if I could use my own contractor. Their response was I had to use the contractor that responded to my repair request or call them to re-schedule. I called the company in hopes of trying to get them out to my home on Sunday. The business's voice mail stating they were not open on Sundays. I notified CHW of this through my claim and they still denied reimbursing me if I used a contractor I found. I had no choice but to find a contractor that was able to come out on Sunday. I called an A/C company and the owner answered and stated he would be out in three hours. Terrible CHW uses contractors that do not work on Sunday's nor do they see Phoenix heat an issue, nor a priority, when needing to fix an A/C. My A/C was fixed by the contractor I located. I notified CHW of this and demanded to be reimbursed, minus my service fee. This was passed onto them through my claim. They denied my request for reimbursement on my claim now stating because I did not properly request reimbursement. I responded stating I wanted to cancel my policy then. I was sent a telephone number to the cancelling department and called it. After 12 minutes of waiting, I pressed "2" to have them call me back. Interesting I called their cancelling number and had to wait that long with no one answering their calls. My question is....how many people are calling CHW to cancel their policy being I had to wait that long with no one answering? I finally got a call back from their customer service department. They still refused to reimburse me even under the circumstances I was dealt with. CHW did cancel my policy "effective immediately" but I have to wait for my refund, which could take up to 14 days. For this reason, I would look elsewhere for a home warranty. CHW website states they pride themselves on fast and reliable service but this was not the case.

Choice Home Warranty is a fraud. I filed two claims with them and they claimed my claim was not a part of my warranty. They declined to pay for anything. Do not sign up with this company. My electrician did everything he could to get my claim approved, yet they refused to approve the repair. My electrician even said he had trouble getting his money on an approved claim. They don't honor their contract. I have been a customer since May 2017. That equals a total payment to them for $1,282.50. I feel that they should refund my money. They claimed that all appliances were covered no matter what the problem. This started out being a guaranteed repair/replacement warranty until they get you to sign the contract. Just try to collect on a claim. Now, I'm trying to cancel my policy and I can't contact them. I'm having a hard time trying to log in to my account. I surely hope you read this before you sign up with this company,

My fridge went up at the end of March...just stop freezing and getting cold. I filed a claim the first week of April, the service rep arrived within days and ordered parts. The parts took over two months to come and was serviced by another person on June 8th who told me I didn’t need the evaporator and they took the part back. My fridge was working for a couple of days and stopped making ice, freezing, cooling and started leaking water. A third person came out and confirmed what the first technician said in early April but Choice has not yet authorized the claim. I’m paying my monthly bill, paid deductibles and I’ve been without a fridge for 3 months now and had food spoil twice without any reimbursement. I received a call from Choice telling me my claim was denied because they sent me a $500 check that I never received and once confirmed, they apologetically said that the claim would be authorized to get my repairs done. It’s been a week and I keep calling only to be placed on hold for almost an hour to have the phone disconnect on me. I’ve tried the call back option and it’s been a half day without a call back. This is the first time using this company and I will never refer them to anyone else. I will eventually cancel my plan after the contract, as this is poor customer service.

There is a Sometimes a fine line Between what the fine print says and going the extra to help a client who needed several things done. Your follow through is really not the best in the industry

I definitely do not recommend choice home warranty for anybody, I was trapped with the cheap premium price, but I learned the hard way that there is a big penalty that comes with their service. I opened a claim for a broken microwave, they decided it is not worth it to fix it and instead they offered $190 to replace it, but the microwave worth $350-$400. I asked to either pay to fix the unit, replace it with a similar unit, or pay for me to buy a similar unit. The case manager was not responsive to e-mails nor voice mail, took more than a week to be able to talk to, was very rude, even refused to connect me to a supervisor and said "she is the highest authority in the company". I also opened a claim for Oven/Range is included in my home warranty contract (all parts included) Oven glass top cracked when we were cooking, once cooled down crack expanded and shattered some glass pieces. "Choice" company denied coverage because they considered this not a "normal tear and wear". If their police states all parts are included, then the glass top is one of these parts and should be included. It broke during normal use of the oven.

I had the warranty for 6 weeks. Ac started to not cool upstairs. Tech came out and was very nice. Warranty company won’t pay for repair claiming it falls under preconditions❗️It’s amazing that they pick and choose what they want to pay even small repairs like mine❗️I will not recommend this company to anybody❗️I can only imagine what they do on a big repair request❗️Do not buy a warranty from Choice because they will use any excuse to not pay for it❗️Eddie T

I've only had to use them once, for my garage door opener. Repairman arrived on time and fixed the problem in less than an hour. The whole process went very smoothly.

I just purchased a house and was told it had a home warranty. 3 months into me owning the house the AC went out. I have a 2 month old who is getting a heat rash from no AC. After spending the mo year to have people look at it and then they sent someone out, had to pay for them as well, they said it was normal wear and tear and they don’t cover that. I have been fighting with them for 10 days. It has been up to 90 degrees I. My house. So now I have to find someone to help get a new unit for my house. I will not recommend this company to my worse enemy. They find any little thing they can to say it is not covered so the owner pays for it. What is the point of home warranty if the owner still ends up paying for it but wasted over a week to get the final answer.

I'm new at this insurance plan. Time will tell, of my satisfaction. I am hopeful that it will be as good as it says it is. I am also hopeful that I won't need it that often.

I am not happy. I switched from American Home because of lower cost and the fact that your phone marketer said the coverages were the same. I had a problem with my oven door that couldn't be fixed and is now inoperable - $75 hinge issue and oven not usable. Just had a call on fix on my garage door that was inoperable - $200 cost of a spring. This is not the same coverage as American Home. I am afraid to call on a water leak on my washer, is there some issue involved that in not covered? I have just about had it. Bill Lee, Wichita.

At first the rep denied my claim, saying the only thing they insured on a toilet was if it wouldn't flush or if it was leaking. When I protested and asked to speak to his supervisor he paused me and then came back and told me the supervisor had waived that rule and that CHW would fix my toilet. Everything from that point went very well.

I was pleased with the service I received over the phone and the discount really helped. I appreciated the sales person helping me get the best deal overall.

I am new to the company so I don't have a lot of experience with your operations. However, I have dealt with Tosha … a case manager who is simply outstanding.

I am happy with CHW’s voice of technicians. I am unhappy with the time frame on much needed refrigeration repair. Refrigerators and ACs are important aspects of old folk’s living during Summer months. I’ve had to wait too many days on technicians, then they have to wait on you, only to find the claim is excluded. After being denied, a customer who chooses another technician must start the wait over again then pay another service fee to someone not associated with you.

I do not recommend using this company! I have been waiting weeks to resolve an issue for my stove (Induction). Instead of fixing my stove they have offered me money to purchase a new stove. They made me 2 offers, the first one did not even cover the cost to fix my actual stove or for me to even purchase a used one. The second offer is 5.00 more then the cost to cover the cost to fix my stove, I have asked multiple times how they are coming up with the amount, what stove they are using to compare mine too, and where they can purchase it for the amount they gave me(because they do not pay retail). I was shown a stove they were using to compare to mine however it was missing have of the key features mine has, was heavily discounted, and not available within 1000 miles of me. When I pointed out the features it was missing and asked for my amount to be increased and show actual stoves my was compatible too I was just told read section 14 again because they do not pay retail. This has been one of the worst warranty experiences ever, they do not actually cover the products you have in you home! They do not even try to give you an amount that might cover the products they refuse to fix so you can purchase a new one. All they do is say we dont pay retail, when apparently they dont pay actual prices and refuse to show you were they come up with amounts. I am asking to speak with a manager today. DO NOT PURCHASE this warranty, save your money for when something breaks because they do not help. This is not my only bad experience with them. My microwave broke and it took 6 weeks to be fixed, a second opinion because the person they sent was not professional, said he did not know what was wrong with it, almost dropped my microwave, and called me 4 TIMES from a check cashing company because my bank was out of state immediately after leaving my home! I then called me own repair man, it took him 1 hour to diagnose and fix my microwave.

I was not given a reasonable amount of money to replace my dish washer. Choice Home Warrenty Manager Lori J, said to me that I have to be in the company for 60 days and not 30 days to have gotten my dishwasher replaced or full value of a replacement cost. I was told upon signing up with the company I could call in for service upon 30 days if service is needed. The Manager Lori J said to me, the service agents signing customers up don’t know everything as an excuse for why I was not given the correct information. So, I was miss lead in what I was told by the service agent upon signing up. This company is not TRUST WORTHY....... I am so disappointed in giving the company the opportunity to rectify the dishwasher issue but, Manager Lori J was not willing to resolve the money issue to my satisfaction since I was miss lead after Ms. M knew I was miss-lead. ‘‘This is in no way how to resolve issues with their customers. Knowing a customer was not given the right information in regards to making a decision to sign up with the company or not. If I was given the correct information about the company upon being solicited to sign up and pay in full for one year, I would not have become a customer. Other companies don’t make u wait 60 days after signing up. And other companies do not miss-lead people and give them all of the much needed information on the company’s policy. Sham on Choice Home Warrenty!!!!!!!!!!!! This was definitely not the time to do this to customers since there are millions of customers who are out of work and can’t get jobs due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus going on in the world. They can do better and should do better. Choice Home Warrenty needs to hire better Managers who should be willing to right a customers issue after being given wrong information and service agents who solicits customers to be truthful and inform customers of the correct policy information and most importantly not miss lead customers to get a sale. I employ the company to not let this survey be in vein. Be willing to understand how this survey can help the company to do and be a better company that should not have Managers like Lori J and agents signing customers up who have been miss lead. Choice Home Warrenty can still make my issue right, by giving me more money and just an additional thirty dollars. Please give enough additional money that would be more reasonable to replace my dishwasher.

My tech Mark J, was very Professional, called with time he would arrive, he ask if I wanted him to cover his shoes, very good work. Would use again.

Your response time with setting with the service was excellent however the approval of the service was initially denied and I had to provide a credit card so he would complete the job. Fortunately he did not run the card and the claim was later approved.

Kayleigh R was very helpful explaining the whole policy to us. Very personable and friendly. Worked hard to give us a really good price! Loved doing business with her!

I told the representative I couldn't do the claim online because they didn't have foul odor. He should have told me they can't do anything for foul odor. Instead he put the claim in I had to paid $45. They just changed the setting of the heat water.

I like choice home warranty , the service was delayed that’s understandable in in thease times ,So they waved my service fee as the service was delayed and they promptly got me next day appointment and got it fixed,

The technician was professional and very knowledgeable. The warranty itself, however, is very flimsy. I have an issue with a hot water heater. The technician deems it unable to be repaired, has to be replaced. No damage to it, etc., just 17 years old. CHW agrees, and out of the $1300 estimate to replace, inform me that I am responsible for $450.00! The options are to agree or disagree. If you disagree, they cancel the claim. I responded ( or attempted to) asking what these charges relate to, but it’s a no -reply email. I have no idea what I am to be paying for. There is nothing special, high end, or unusual about this hot water heater.... I should have known better than to have gotten scammed into a home warranty deal - I’ve had one before and they always end up like this!

My A/C was not working. It took some time for them to find a technician to come and do the repair. But when the technician did show up the repair was completed quickly and professionaly.

Not satisfied with the settlement price for my Gas Clothes Dryer that couldn't be repaired as per the Technician, the settlement price is $299.99, There is nothing on the market as a replacement, most Dryers start at $600.00 and above.

As I explained to the customer service representative that I spoke to, when I declined further coverage. I'm not happy with the service that I have paid for. I've been in and around construction since I was a young, my Grandfather, Dad, and Uncles have all been in some sort of construction industry. For one, I am NOT impressed with Choice Home Warranties follow-up on issues. Please refer to my previous claims, and the number of times I had to follow-up on my own. In my industry, if our contractors had to continually call for back-orders, and fight with the 'vendor', in your case, the warranty company - they would go somewhere else. Hence, my position. Let alone the fact that I know there is an issue, and I cannot be home every time a tech is there, I have had my Mom there. I rely on the technical information provided from the technician. However, one case in point; a tech came to fix our freezer. Not only did I have to put the same claim in 2-3 times, to get it fixed because they didn't find anything. My Mom simply asked for the handle to be tightened on the freezer drawer, the last time out, after they finally found the problem, and I kept paying for each service call. The technician explained, he could not tighten the handle, because he would have to take the entire drawer face off. When I got home that night I checked myself, and it was only (2) set screws needed to remove the handle, tighten the bracket, and pop it back on. I guess I should have submitted a claim for a loose handle then, but I decided to do it myself. I'm not impressed with your back-office protocol, nor am I impressed with some of the technicians that our sent out. I'd LOVE to see that you have some type of outline for your contractors and standards they adhere to. While you may retain business for some time, eventually these types of issues will gain traction, by word of mouth, and people getting burned by technicians, paying for each service call, and also not getting to the root cause of the issue. I've asked for my icemaker to be fixed in my freezer, still NOT DONE!!! Oh, lastly - change the 'Amazing' button from your experience review, or 'OK'. Nothing amazing about paying a thousand dollars, and not getting any return on investment. Warranty companies should be profitable, but should also take care of their customer. Next time you look at an employee of 'Choice Home Warranty' ask yourself if they really understand why your customers purchase your warranty.

I put in a claim for my ceiling fans and didn't never get it did because the people was told to call house phone and steady texted my cell phone I gave 3 stars because I was so confused because it takes so long for them to get in contact with you

Bought 2 policies from you last yeat. First claim ever and it was shot down due to quest plumbing. I have two 3 1/2 year contracts with you and your sales rep Ralph B assured me that all plumbing lines were covered . He never mentioned quest plumbing. I had to pay $195 out of pocket for a ten minute $5-10 part job. Filed for reimbursement and Peta C(Claim Rep) has not replied to my 3 emails or phone calls. Mr B is also supposed to be talking to his manager to get me reimbursed. I am also thinking of possibly canceling both contracts if my plumbing lines are not covered. First time in 25 years, since we bought the home new, that we have had a plumbing line issue. So, as you can see I am very ,very upsset. Wayne Hurteau
