As off today 5/20/2022 I am not a satisfied customer. My issue still has not been resolved, No one has contacted me about claim #157158979. I will not recommend Choice aHome warranty to anyone I know. They will not contact you about anything. you have to call them and hope to get a real person on the phone to find out what the heck is going on. I have an electrical issue but that isn't serious to them. As of now I will not recommend this company to ANYONE!!!

We had a refrigerator that needed replacing. Choice only offered to pay half the cost of a compatible replacement unit. They claim in there advertising and sales pitches that you'll get a replacement just like you have. Buyer beware the contracts that the home warranty companies are worded very tricky. They make millions of dollars and give out very little. Will be better off putting the monthly payment to them in a savings account. Let's see if they put this review on their website. It will be interesting to read their reply.

This is not going so well so far. A simple repair request has become a nightmare. My pool pump is still leaking. I submitted a request to CHW back on May 10. It is now May 19 and CHW cannot find a tech to do the repair. I found one, but CHW has denied them. I have told my story to at least 5 CHW customer service reps. Twice the call has dropped while on hold with no callback. They continue to tell me that someone will be in contact within 4-6 hours. Not once has that happened. I don't doubt we will solve this, but so far, not a good experience. BTW...I never complain.

Unfortunately I am locked into a 3 year policy with this company,,,It has been a horrible experience! It took nearly 2 months to have refrigerator fixed, still waiting for them to find someone to work on our water well ( 4-5 months). AC went out and excuse given for why it was not covered which will cost us over $7500 to replace. What a scam company!! When signing up for the policy (we live in a rural area), we were assured that they had contract with technicians to cover our area. Wrong!!!!

7 days to get tech to look at AC unit and not able to reach anyway at the warranty company. The first tech was a no show and the window was 3pm-8pm. Contacted first company and they said they don't even do residential and the appt was never set up on their end. Couldn't reach a live person at the Warranty company, we exchanged emails but they were automated.

I've had your warranty company for 2 years the 1st claim I put in for a washing machine and an internal part was broken and they told me that it was wear and tear and did not cover it my 2nd claim is my dishwasher that is now in 3 months 2 different people same problems they damaged my floor in my house which is now partially repaired but not properly and they've replaced every part in the machine almost for the 2nd time And I'm paying a second in service fee which I should not even though it's over a month it's the same problem

Every claim I've submitted has been contested, with most denied. For example, I had a water heated claim denied as it was claimed the bottom was rusted out. On having an independent technician remove the water hear, we found NO rust. I just has a central AC claim denied for compressor failure due to some leaves inside the housing. It's my belief that HCW is using any small print of excuse to deny claims. It's my understand that HCW is being sued in several States over false promises to its clients.

Lie about coverage. Essentially end up covering NOTHING. Paid for several years and have tried to file for a few things that happened - fridge, water heater, dishwasher, air conditioner. Have NEVER covered a single item. Waste our time to wait for a repair person to review (who you have to pay out of pocket) to just be told our claim is denied. They also inform the tech 2 hours before they tell the customer, intentionally delaying and wasting time. DO NOT BUY. Wasting your money

Not impressed! I have been experiencing problems with my hot water tank. Twice there have been contractors sent out and neither times was the issue properly diagnosed. Both contractors left me their cell numbers to call if the problem reoccurred saying they would come right over. Both times, when I experienced gathering problem again they said to call Choice. I paid $45 twice for no repairs. I am still without hot water!!!!

So far I'm not impressed with Choice. Firstly, they had 2 different repair people coming to my house, then changed it to one. The repairman was fine. Then I received an email telling me Choice is "replacing" my microwave with one of equal value and features for a measly $191 !! I don't think so.! Have you looked at over-the-range-microwave prices lately? They START at $300 ! You're going to get a LOT of bad press from me, folks. You need to up your game and start acting like you're in the 21st century!

Requesting my policy be cancelled within the first 10 minutes due to poor customer service. Had a woman call and try and pressure me in paying in full for the warranty, even after telling her no thank you. She kept pushing and when I said no, AGAIN, she said thanks in a snotty tone and hung up. Then when I called to speak to a supervisor, the gentleman who answered was just as curt. I don't do bad customer service.

1 star on the rating above is far too generous. During 4+ years paying these people I've had 5 claims. 1 of the claims was handled properly and 1 I had to argue with them until they finally approved. This last claim was denied after I got the parts needed and all I needed them to cover was labor. So I do not advise anyone to set themselves up for a costly disaster.

I have had Terrible experiences with Choice on every claim throughout the years. They don’t cover glass top stoves. They gave me less than half the cost to replace my washer. My refrigerator was missing the serial number, so they denied the claim. Gave half the amount to replace my dishwasher. If you have nice appliances, choice will not repair them. They will only give you a fraction of what it takes to replace. I’m so thankful that my contract is almost over. I would even rate them a one. Also it takes 30 days or longer to get your claim money.

After many months of having a serviceman come to fix my refrigerator for the same problem and paying a charge each time for the same problem, I gave up turned in a claim. Now you have denied my claim and refuse to pay for a new fridge. your insurance is worthless. I have waisted my money and want to cancel my policy. Someone from your company called me and said they were emailing me a letter regarding this, and I never even got the letter.

Past two claims have been horrible as far as service. So many technicians complain about your requirements for them that are not fair to your clients. This last claim has made me decide to go with another company. I know you can’t please everyone but at least be consistent with your follow up and stop trying to resolve issues that has more than one complaint. PICK UP THE PHONE AND HELP!!!!!!!!

They will do anything to deny a claim. My heating system (gas boiler) broke down. First they said it was caused by a power surge or outage and would not be covered. I have a Ting monitoring system by Whisker labs that shows that there was no outage or surge. Then they said it was caused by improper maintenance and would not be covered. I ended up paying a substantial amount out of pocket to have my heating system repaired.
