for some reason a customer service representative set up an account on the house i am buying and the house i am currently a renter - then choice cancelled both - i spent 45 minutes being transferred around until i was able to" butt" in to tell an Agent to NOT transfer me again. hopefully i won't have this same issue if i should need to file a claim.

Two claims have resulted in multiple visits by inferior technicians, refusing to replace a 43 year old furnace unless I paid $2200 in non-covered costs and another claim resulted in a tech from a relatively unknown company working on the unit twice without fixing it but charging me $350 in addition to the service fee. 4350

The technician that was sent out was great, very professional and courteous. Up to that point my dealings with choice was anything but pleasant. I asked several times to speak with a supervisor and was not given a supervisor I was told they were too busy to talk. I am not happy with choice in the way they handled things. I am going to another company.

Choice Home Warranty gives lousy service. I submitted my claim on January 1st for a non-working refrigerator and the work was finally awarded to the technician on February 7th. I messaged and talked to supervisors too many times to count before the work was awarded. Still don't know when the work will start since the technician has to deal with the compressor manufacturer since it is covered by it's own warranty. Way too long to be without a refrigerator!!

I do NOT know where to begin…. The dishwasher… dryer….or refrigerator! Just know it was almost 5 months with no dryer…… just different techs… who quit due to non payment on Choice end. My fridge was serviced and they tech replaced a part only for another tech to tell me that wasn’t the issue. I will be happy once my appliances are working. The last tech was amazing though. He was very informative and honest!

You really don't want my review. I'm still mad about last summer, when it took two months to get my dishwasher fixed and it still isn't right. The first repairman expected that I'd need a new dishwasher, but he was unreliable in coming when expected and when I got a second, very nice repairman, he did the best he could, but, while the dishwasher washes somewhat, it doesn't dry at all.

This was my first time to use Choice Warranty. Apparently, the slick salesman failed to tell me that you replace appliances at wholesale prices. Now, if only I could purchase a new washer for a wholesale price. How absurd. Your warranty states that you replace at your lowest cost. Very unfair to use wholesale pricing. I feel that if the lowest cost offered to you should be at retail. I am very unsatisfied at the take it or leave attitude of your appeals service.

Terrible Customer Service. Actually hung up on me and requested credit and cancelation for a service I had canceled 9 months prior. Tell me how I can cancel, get weekly phone calls asking me to come back, not get charged for 9ish months, and then only receive partial credit and cancelation after being hung up on by Employee. Never use this company. They do not care about their customers, they only care about pinching pennies.

Scam artist. Sold me 3 year policy for two places I own. When it came to make a repair on the AC unit, they went through every trick to deny it citing catastrophic failure on the AC unit. That's why I bought the warranty. To cover for unforeseen circumstances. Thank you claim adjuster Nevada Rivers. U did your job. Now if I can warn everyone to stay away from Choice Home Warranty.

All I wanted was a home warranty for a year. The representative kept trying to upsell me. I told him over and over again that i wasn’t interested in anything more than a year because I wasn’t going to commit to a service for multiple years without any experience with this company as a first time customer. I asked, “are you listening to me?” And he got very aggressive and rude. He even gaslighted me like I was being irrational for telling to stop. Such a horrendous experience! Just awful. Ugh.

Your service is incredibly difficult to deal with and slow in dealing with claims. I submitted a claim and it took two weeks for your team to find a contractor only after I had called to complain. While I was waiting for CHW to find a technician to do the work (it was subzero temperatures without working garage doors) you did mange to send me over a half dozen offers to extend my service. I would not recommend CHW.

I have not had a claim in 14 months and all of a sudden when I did place a claim they are saying the water heater is not covered due to some exclusions! Well when you sign up all they tell you is that if it can't be fixed they will replace; however, they have denied the claim to replace. I was recommended to this company by a friend, but if we can't get this resolved quickly I will be cancelling this policy!

There was no amount of maintenance that could have prevented a 22 year old system to stop wot=rking. There was no previous damage. I expect this to be covered and soon. The contract reads "We are responsible for installing replacement equipment of similar features, capacity, and efficiency, but not for matching dimensions, brand or color." They did NOT replace my furnace with this in mind. The old furnace had a 2-stage burner and a variable speed fan motor. They replaced it with a unit that is a single-stage burner and has a single speed fan motor. The only thing that is close to matching is the efficiency, we had a 96% and they replaced it with a 95%. On top of all of that, it took them 11 days in the middle of winter to get it replaced.

They were unable to repair my fridge. The replacement offer was ridiculous. About 1/3 the cost to replace in about half of what a used fridge would cost. They were unwilling to negotiate and basically said the offer was good for 30 days after that it would go to zero.

Choice is a middle man connecting the home owner to a vendor. Unfortunately, Choice does a poor job in selecting vendors and does nothing to really monitor them. I’ve been waiting for over 3 months for my shower and kitchen sink to be fixed. I have contacted Choice 3 times and the vendor 4 times. I have had similar problems with other vendors. Vendors will immediately sign up to fix the problem within the next 5-7 days. Then they reschedule for 2-3 weeks out. I’ve told Choice they are gaming the system, but Choice doesn’t care.

Well, you are supposed to replace the dishwasher if it cannot be fixed but you are only giving us $246.00 toward a new dishwasher which only covers a third of the cost, not including installation which is another $190.00 plus $30.00 disposal fee. So you are not living up to the contract .

My experience with choice home warranty has been nothing but a nightmare. Unprofessional customer service. They don’t seem to care about me as a customer. I filed claim over 2 months ago and I have had no tech come out. The technician they did have no called no showed twice and not one response from this company. I regret getting this company I will be switching back to American home shield. This company is a complete ripoff.

Misrepresent. No mention of electronic not being covered. Thermostat is part of a heat pump. Without it how can the pump work. No problems with Choice up until now. So with that being said we will probably move on to another home warranty company. One that doesn’t leave out the little parts. Didn’t even get a copy of policy. Also would be nice to talk to real person and not through text messages.
