Befor the last snow On Thur, I called in my HEAT. I DIDN'T GET THE NAME OF COMPANY TO DOTHE WORK UNTIL SAT AFTER THE SNOW SO I CALLED THE COMPANY AND THE SAID THAT THEY DO NOT WORK ON SAT BUT IF I PAY A EMERGENCY FEE THAT THEY WOULD COME OUT. I CALLED CHOICE AND THE REFUSE TO PAY THE EMERGENCY FEE, SAID IF I WANTED TO COMPNY TO COME OUT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY IT MYSELF PLUS THE SERVICE CHARGE. SO I DID NOT GET MY HEAT RESTORED UNTIL MONDAY. I HAD TO GO OUT AND PURCHASE TWO HEATERS TO SURVIVE THE COLD. AND THAT WAS REALLY UNFAIR BECAUSE I PAY YOUR COMPANY FOR THIS REASON.

Never had a repair done but this review is about trying to cancel service. Had them for one year and when the contract was up I called to make sure it would not renew. Was told it would not but then they charged my account and told me they would not refund my money. Had to dispute with my bank to get my money returned. Was very disappointed in their practices.

For the claims that they did cover, I was very satisfied. Sadly the things that were not covered ended up costing me more because each claim requires you pay the service call fee without knowing what work will be approved or not. They also do not have a lot of contractors available in all areas. There is an option to call your own and submit request for reimbursement but that requires to service tech to submit the issue to Choice BEFORE the work. Placing faith in that happening bit me several times!

It's been a year since we used Choice Home Warranty for our appliances repair service. I must say that their system or customer help desk needs improvement with customer satisfaction. So far I am not happy because the first call was made for the dishwasher repair. The technician, Sears Appliances fixed the issue but caused the garbage disposal to produce noise when the DW was hooked up to it. Followed up with them but the technician said he could not remember what he did. Second call, was for a need for a plumber due to water leak spots I have seen on my dining room ceiling. Schedule was set but the plumber didn't show up. Followed up with customer service and assured me it won't happen again and will touch base with me once a schedule is set with a new plumber. That was two weeks ago and I haven't heard from them. I got too busy and totally forgot about it , too. I guess, we'll have to start looking for another company.

Bad service. They sent a technician out to unstop a toilet and the guy said I needed to give him 99 dollars and I did and the company said that to unstop the toilet was not covered and in another occasion they sent someone out to fix the ice maker on my fridge and the guy came out and ordered a part and never showed back up to install it. After the contract was up I canceled the service and they call or email once a month to get us to renew but we don’t respond

Not enough phone coverage to reach anyone by phone since the pandemic started in 2020. Everything is website driven. Each order I put in was confirmed for a different day and time with the contractor than what Choice Home Warranty told me. This happened each time I filed a claim. Also, all contractors had a long waiting period before they could come out. I had no choice but to cancel. I wonder if George F is really a customer at all or is he on the commercials just for sales purposes.

I contacted Choice Home Warranty because of a leak in my ceiling. The service representative was very helpful in scheduling an air conditioning company to come out. The appointment was scheduled for the upcoming Saturday, but they did not show up, nor did they answer the phone, or call me. Choice was unable to contact them as well. We had to wait until Monday to make contact with the air conditioning company who stated that they were never scheduled to service me the previous Saturday. They were finally scheduled and came out and repaired the problem.

They get some one out fast but it's an $85.00 service call fee the first time they come for a problem then they fix it or it's replaced. My dryer quit working and it was to old to get parts for it so they replaced it with a new one. They gave me $400.00 to replace it. I recommend them because they have always treated me right.

I obtained a quote from Choice Home Warranty when my previous plan was set to expire but it was more expensive than renewing my existing coverage. The basic plan didn’t include the washer/dryer and that was important to me so I decided to stick with my original company.

I bought twice from CHW. Both times they were able to customize the quote for my needs and are very competitive. I have filed claims on both policies and received great service from CHW. Only dislike being that they were not vetting their partners initially and one of them was not skilled at his job. But, CHW made it right by sending another one.

So far my experience has been mostly negative. We have submitted 3 claims so far, 2 of which were simple leaks, one a shower and the other a toilet. The shower repair too two weeks from date of initial claim to completion. The toilet repair is now in the third week and still has not been completed, not because of difficulty but due to Choice Home Warranty dragging their feet about needing more information from the technician. Diagnosis with pictures were submitted by technician within 2 days of of technician's visit. The toilet problem is not rocket science. The third claim was a refrigerator problem. CHW was not able to get a technician to respond so authorization was given us to find our own, which we did. Job was completed in ten days due to having to order the needed part. However, we have not been provided the procedure to send in the repair invoice so we can be reimbursed. I will reserved final judgement on this process. So far I rate CHW fair to poor.
