Moved into my house about a week ago and already have a plumbing issue. I called in to use the warranty and explained that there is literally human waste coming up from shower drain. Found out it’ll be a week before someone will come out to address it and when I called back to see if they could find another company to come out sooner due to the urgent nature of the issue(a huge health hazard) I was basically told it’s my responsibility to find someone else if I wanted it addressed sooner. Why are emergencies not addressed sooner and why is the responsibility on the customer to get the problem resolved? Glad the seller included this warranty at the purchase of the house cause I couldn’t justify the expense if this first experience is any indication. Certainly won’t be purchasing next year.

I have had the warranty program since February of this year, I called in a claim in August for a my kitchen faucet leaking. The service agent told me that it would be three days before a plumber would get to my home and I would be required to pay the $60.00 co-pay when he arrived. Three days later and with no water running in my kitchen. He arrived and first thing asked for the co-pay. I gave him a check he looked at it and took photos of the sink. He then went out to his truck and sent the pics in to them to see if they would approve the work. He came back in the home and advised the repair was denied. He stated they would be sending me an email of the denied claim and left. 10 min later received an email of the denial, stating fixture and faucet were not covered. I called Choice Home warranty to get some specifics as to the why. When talking to the agent was explained the why and regurgitated their policy and will not pay for the repair. When advising I would be dropping my policy I was referred to another agent and the first thing was said to me “let’s see if we can fix your sink and offered $100.00 to repair the faucet. I said no thanks, I believe that this issue was small and if this is how they deal with the small what will happen to the big? I lost all and any confidence I have had with this company. She went on for a few min attempting to change me my mind, going over what would be covered and money I would save. But in the end, it’s their perspective of what they will cover or not and get the feeling they denie a lot of claims that should be covered.

SCAM ALERT!! This company takes your money and denies your claim at all costs. My AC compressor went out on my outdoor unit on Sunday, a technician from a company THEY partner with came out Monday and deemed the problem a faulty compressor. Matt, the technician told me that it was no fault of my own and that he didn’t see why my home warranty shouldn’t cover it. One hour after Matt drove away, I received a claim denial email from choice home warranty. I appealed, and was assigned a case manager that I had to call back and retrieve her contact info. She was the worst part of the process as she would not reason and was very irrational. She wouldn’t answer any of my questions, refused to escalate my call, denied having a manager at one point, then told me her management team is not allowed to talk on the phone. At one point claimed the denial was due to the part being under warranty. When I told her it wasn’t under warranty she said then it was because it broke from circumstances not resulting from normal wear and tear. I had reports of how I was running my unit and she told me she didn’t want to see them. My family has been in a hotel this whole time and choice home warranty had been a nightmare!!

I have had a choice home warrenty for about three years. This was my first time making a claim. My washer stopped working and the repair man came out to look at it and send in an invoice to choice home warrenty. Choice home warrenty decided to give me $349 dollars to replace the washer. I rejected that office and they said that they would assign a claim person and that they would contact me in one business day. After eight days, I called and informed them that no one had reached out to me about the washer of my claim. I called them on the 7th of August and spoke to someone about the claim. They are now giving me $499 to replace the washer. The cost of a new washer whirlpool washer is around $685. With the $499 dollars, I will have to go out and find a washer, have it delivered to the home. have it set up and have the old washer removed. Having the washer delivered is about $150. having the old washer removed is about the same price. Setting it up is more. So needless to say that Choice home warrenty is not at the top, middle or botton of my list for home warrenties.

Choice denied replacement and repair both. They flat out lied to me stating that there were no specific problem recorded by the technician. That was a LIE I read the report BOTH reports that were sent into Choice. They stated in text to technician because units were older they wouldn't replace even though there was no neglect. The retention mgr was rude and disrespectful. When I asked to speak with her mgr. She told me she didn't have one. This company was deceptive from the start. Do not believe you have to pay for 12 months up front. I was on a month to month paying $37.50. Buyer Beware! Not a good Choice !

Choice Home Warranty has been iffy to say the least. They are as inconsistent as they are unreliable. We Had A/C issues in Las Vegas on a Thursday night. The Tech came out on Friday. The tech Aaron is very nice and finds a leak in the condenser coil and takes pictures. Aaron writes this on the work order,and also states it needs to be replaced. That afternoon I get a denial email stating " leak is due to rust and corrosion " mind you this is just off the pictures the tech took. ( this is a 9yr old unit)He stated nothing. else on the report. On Saturday Choice Home Warranty then gives me a email to get a case manager which of course they are not in until Monday. I have left email and a voicemail over the weekend they call back on Monday not to discuss but to reiterate the denial stands.! I tell them there is no rust or corrosion they place me on hold for 10 mins and thencome back on and states the denial stands. The is the reason I spent over $500 yr. Was to make sure my family is protected and that we wouldn't be in this position. Sidenote Las Vegas has been in a excessive heat warning since Friday 8 /2/2019 with the temperature averaging over 109. I look at Choice's web site and look at all the positive wording on why you should buy with them ,but in the end it is very deceptive. I gave 1 star because at least they send a good tech out.

I wouldn't even give this company one star. I had a plumbing leak and they sent out a tech from a company to do a diagnostic. He wasn't even able to open the drywall to access where the leak was coming from before they denied the claim. Plumbing is supposed to be covered! Buying a warranty through this company is a waste of money!!!! The company that they hired to do the service call told me they just started working with Choice Home Warranty and every claim they have went out to Choice has denied. I bought 6 years with this company.. I should be a valued customer.. Every customer should be. I was treated with such disrespect by every operator I had to deal with during this process. One actually called me a liar. I would strongly recommend NOT using this company for a home warranty.

I signed a 3 yr contract. I have had two major things break 2 years into the contract. My double oven with convection isn’t working anymore. Instead of fixing it they decided to replace it but are only offering me 550. To replace them. That’s a third of what units cost. Our air conditioner also broken. Repairman told us it needs to be replaced. Choice says no. They just want a new compressor installed. Repair man says it’s a temporary fix that will end up only fixing it for this season and we will run into same problems next season. Save your money— this company is a rip off.

Would not recommend Choice Home Warranty. Our air conditioner went out July 1, and we have been getting the run around. First they gave us the name of a contractor who didn' show twice, then they gave us a second name. When they didn'the show up we called the company only to find out they didn't have us on their schedule but they don'the work with home warranties. Here we are a month later and they gave us another company, and when we called them because we needed to reschedule. Once again we weren't anywhere to be found on thier schedule. Then I get an email saying our air conditioner has been approved for repair, how when no one has looked at it. Choice warranty is a joke

Choice Home Warranty provided 0 help when the company they contracted sued me for a claim that was denied. I paid my $60 when they were dispatched and whatever agreement the 2 companies made ended up in a lawsuit from the company choice sent out to provide an estimate. No work was ever performed and communication was very clear. They were contracted through my home warranty company not myself for my rental property. I paid my portion which was the $60 service call fee. They came out, provided an estimate and we politely declined. Repairs were NEVER made to my homeboy them; another contractor provided service and repairs. 11 months later they are trying to sue me (Choice Home warranty is who the agreement was with, NOT ME) for work that was NEVER DONE. THESE CONTRACTORS NEED TO DO MORE RESEARCH and UNDERSTAND THE DETAILS BEFORE THEY SIGNUP AND AGREE TO DO WORK FOR HOME WARRANTY COMPANIES AND OTHER ALIKE.

Consumer Beware. If I could rate this company a zero I would. We have had this company for a year after switching from a previous company upon relocating. They are extremely slow to address and dispatch technicians. We usually have to follow it up because they do not. It has been a very costly mistake and we will not be renewing. Watch your credit card as well if you do decide to go with this company. They charged us $3000 that we never authorized last year and we had to jump through several hoops to get them to refund it. Our recommendation is that you take your time, do your research on home warranty companies and avoid our mistake.

WISH I WOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS Cape Coral, FL

Called for Faulty Garage Door Opener on Sunday (24/7 claim service) ENDED UP HIRING A COMPANY TO COME OUT & SAVED $25 Asked if they would have someone out today since it was stuck in the open position and was told yes (if not I was going to call and pay myself). As soon as they took the claim I received the email stating that AA Same Day Garage Door Service would be out between 12pm-3pm. At 3: 45 I called to make sure they would be out that day. I was told by AA (VERY RUDE WOMAN) they don't work on Sundays but they would for an additional fee. I asked why she accepted the claim if they didn't plan on coming out when they agreed, she knew I would be taken out of the system for service needed. She really couldn't care less. (CHW confirmed this is NOT the policy and they should have only charged the $75 service fee) since I wasn't willing to pay extra I had CHW cancel and resubmit the request. Within 5 min I received the email that another garage door company had accepted and this time they scheduled it for Thursday (4days later) so I called the local company only to be told that it would cost 375 to fix the problem. I called a company myself and had it done within 2hrs and was only charged $50. Customer service could care less about the fact that companies are accepting the claim and have no intentions of coming out. I was even told by the second company that they just hit the accept button so they get the job, even if they aren't able to actually do the work same day as requested. It seems that CHW is not only ripping off the customer but they apparently have ripped off the service companies to the point that you become a "rainy day" customer (meaning if they are slow they will show and no guarantee that they will EVER come out. I was basically offered same day if I didn't use CHW or was told I would have to pay extra even if CHW sells you on the flat rate fee 24/7 service.

This was by far the WORST company to get a home warranty through. We started having problems with our central AC, they sent out a technician which quickly said one of our units was completely out of Freon. He submitted it which then they quickly denied the claim saying there was rust or corrosion (which they deny), keep in mind, the technician did NOT open or even look inside the AC unit. I asked how they knew that it was caused by rust and corrosion and the representative said they just knew, I questioned it and he basically said there was nothing they could do unless I wanted to pay for a leak test (roughly $700) and if it was something other than rust or corrosion, they would reconsider looking into it more. I spoke with multiple HVAC companies and said there are defiantly other ways the Freon could leak, I called back 3 times to my "specialist" with this info and he NEVER called back, then I called back 3 more times speaking to 3 "managers" and they all said I would get a phone call within 24 hours. NEVER got a call back. One manager said the technician should have taken pictures to send in which he didn't and they would send out another technician, he said he understood my side, but guess what, never happened. I finally called back and said I wanted my money back, after arguing with them for almost an hour they finally agreed to pay me back the unused portion of my warranty and promised me a customer relations specialist would call me to discuss the unsatisfactory customer service. Yep, that never happened either. Complete wast of money and HORRIBLE, I stress HORRIBLE customer service, I wouldn't recommend this company if my life depended on it to my worst enemy. All I wanted was a call back.

I have an air conditioner that stopped working a month ago. I called choice home warranty and I took them almost six weeks to get a technician to come take a look. The tech said it was normal wear and tear and that I needed a new shaft and fan. Supposedly the choice package I have is full comprehensive coverage. However they denied my claim saying it was based on the damage. Even the tech said this is a common occurrence in most units and he can tell I stopped usage right away. Well that has been over a week. I had a case manager assigned named Taylaya M and she has yet to respond to three emails and two voicemails left on her line at work. I guess I have been paying choice home warranty since July of 2007 for nothing because as a bi lateral amputee. On dialysis at home I need it cooled in this hot summer month. I guess choice home warranty only approves claims when they want to. It is not a fair process at all. I will be canceling my warranty. If you are reading this I would go with another home warranty like amazon.

Worst company ever ..Total ripoff ...They expect your so called "unexpected home repairs" to happen only on the weekdays....Their claim of sending a technician within a 24-hour window is a big BS, their technicians do not work on weekends and if anything happens during the weekend you have to find someone on your own and they will find 101 ways to NOT pay you.. Was a customer for quite some time and based on the horrible experience I canceled the service. One other thing you have to deal with is their rude and worst customer service reps. Do yourself a favor by NOT throwing your money down the drain.

Sales pitch was good. Customer Service when reporting the claim good. Technician who arrived...good. CHW denied the claim. same as many others 'rust or corrosion". The technician said nothing to us of rust or corrosion on the HVAC. Our technician did state the CHW would deny the claim because the deny ALL claims. Still fighting and arguing to get the AC repaired in Texas. No one has the authority to approve the claim, and I cannot speak with the person who does. I currently have 4 policies with CHW. There is a $50 cancelation fee for each policy. That alone would cost me $200. The main reason people in the south keep home warranties if for the AC. What is the point if the claim is denied and you still have to pay out of pocket?

FRAUD by CHOICE HOME WARRANTY (CHW) and its HVAC vendor. July 21, 2019 --> I filed this claim as my AC had stopped working. July 22, 2019 --> HVAC tech comes in from "R&M Heating and Cooling". They collect the $65 service fee. They tell me that they will submit the diagnosis immediately and will repair my HVAC unit the following day(July 23, 2019). July 23, 2019 --> I call the AC vendor and they say that CHW had not approved the claim as yet. I call CHW and they say that a diagnosis has not been submitted by the vendor as yet. Then I call the vendor who says that he thought he had submitted the diagnosis but must have slipped his mind, he will submit again. July 24, 2019 --> Diagnosis was submitted by the vendor to CHW. CHW asked my home inspection report and they approved the claim. For the next 5 days there is no communication from "R&M Heating and Cooling". They would not answer my calls. Finally i reached them from a different cell number, they were very arrogant and would say that i was not on their calendar for repairs and it was not a convenient time for them to schedule my repairs. July 29, 2019 --> I finally get my own HVAC service person and give CHW a call and they approve a diagnosis submitted by my own HVAC service man. CHW tells me that they would cover the cost at their own rate. $358.61 for the Blower motor and $72.00 for labor. They would send me a check for $ 430.61. Job is finished, i pay my HVAC service man out of pocket $942 for replacing the Blower motor and CHW tell me on the phone that they would reimburse me. Then CHW send me an email that they would be sending me a check for $160 instead of $430.61. July 30, 2019 --> I call CHW helpline, they listen to what i had to say, put me on hold for extended time and finally tell me that $160 is all that they would pay. I told the CHW rep to listen to the call recordings that they have and honor what they promised me. To that they say that at this time they cannot do so. Further CHW informed me that they cannot be held liable for their vendors and their behavior. I would definitely NEVER recommend this CHOICE HOME WARRANTY.

Have tried to reach a supervisor for 3 days regarding waiting since July 14 for my ac to be fixed. First part came in defective. Now I'm told to wait til between August 5-8. We are in record breaking temps and I have asthma. I asked if I purchased a window unit would i be reimbursed and was told no. So I guess I will sue the company if I have an asthma attach. Meanwhile waiting 1 month for a part and my ac to be fixed. UNACCEPTABLE - customer service with returning a call is horrible. My next step is to contact the News Channel - I would be willing to pay myself if I would be reimbursed.. but I was told no.. The 2nd part ordered should have been expedited... I am looking into cancelling and transferring to another home warranty that is willing to provide the help the customer needs especially after this was paid for 2 years in advance. BUYER BEWARE

I have been waiting 15 days for my a/c to be repaired during this time our average tempetures has been 110 all I have received is the runaround and no resolve I felt at the time I purchased this warranty after having for a year they were a decent company. Since renewing for three years it seems I have had no support from the company they are always trying for us to pay out of pocket and submit a reimbursement claim. As I have told them this is there job and that is what I pay them to do being I feel claim will be denied and I will be out the money. With this said I would rather have my money back and fined another repeatable company being the technicians I have spoke to have informed me this is one of the worst companies the deal with for home warranties. Let’s see how much longer we will wait for resolve of this issue. ☹☹ not a happy customer

After YEARS of faithfully paying every month, when my AC went out in ALABAMA Saturday, my claim was denied. False advertising to say the least! I have proof of that! Since Saturday, my 9 month pregnant daughter, her 14 month old, and I have suffered in the heat and THEY KNOW THAT! You should see the ridiculous reason they gave for not paying. I didn't do anything wrong at all yet they denied my claim. If there was a 0 star, I would have chosen that. THEY DO NOT PAY FOR REPLACEMENT. I am sure it is a standard form they send out. If they were who they said they were and did what they said they did, then there would be not problem. They take your money but WILL NOT PAY YOUR CLAIM. It's hot in Alabama.

I agree with previous review. My A/C claim was denied because they do not cover "rust and corrosion". The technicians report stated there was no rust and corrosion so Choice came back with another denial code as to not be responsible for paying for the repair. Our out of pocket expense was over $450, in addition to the $45 deductible. I also own several rentals and have had similar issues with them. I will be taking my business elsewhere when my contract with Choice is up. Don't get lured in by the "low deductibles" and their advertised "great coverage". It's just simply not true. Choice does not seem to be in the business of paying out claims or taking care of their customers. Please look elsewhere!

The company is deceptive. They contacted me and offered 13 months of coverage for the same price. Their website offers the first month free, also incorrect. I paid in full when I initiated the policy on July 17th. My overhead microwave went out Saturday, July 27th and I was told they do not cover this as this was a preexisting condition. They informed me that in the policy it states that we have to wait 30 days before using the policy. So the first month is NOT free and never was this information disclosed. I feel like this company takes advantage of its customers with a bait and switch method. They only tell you what you want to hear and leave out the important details. I'm going back to my previous home warranty company and will make sure to share my experience with every site permitted. Unbelievable that Best Company lists Choice Home Warranty as a reputable company.

They took our $65 copay after leading us to believe the oven was being covered and then denied our claim. We were told by several others we were fools for believing Choice Home Warranty was not a scam, and they were right. Complete scam. Save your money. If you have the warranty included in a home purchase do NOT file a claim. They will just take the copay and deny your claim on some bs of pre exsiting conditions, the home is too old, the appliance is to old, this part isn't manufactured in the united states. Very disappointing. Oh and their technician was 8 hours late and reaked of pot.

The worst experience I have ever had with a home warranty company. I have owned six homes over the years and used several different companies, never had a problem. My home was built 10 yrs ago and was upgraded to premium appliances. my washer went out and they sent the inspector out. He said the board was bad. 3 days later Choice said they were not going to fix it, told me they would send me a check for 300.00 to replace my 800.00 washer! I had to fight just to get them to pay 400.00. The check took 3 weeks. 1 month later AC goes out, 110 degrees in AZ called them opened the claim and took four days for someone to come out. Called a day later to see when it was getting fixed, given the run around 8 days after initial claim was sent an email that said my AC coil was not covered. I have 4 kids and the indoor temperature over 100 terrible company! BEWARE, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

ABSOLUTELY AVOID. Certainly amongst the WORST. Had them come out to unblock A/C condensation line. They sent a contractor out that did not know his job. He blew the line out ok... but that is not the proper way to do the job. The line should be vacuumed (sucked) out and not blown out from the air handler. The result? you guessed it.... a leak from the condensation line that was blown apart at the elbow. Now we have a mold problem developing in the south Florida heat. Naturally I call them and they say they will send someone out. A large part of the kitchen ceiling is now soaking wet and water is dripping on the floor. This condition is completely explained to CHW. The " contractor" arrived two days later and three hours late for the appointment in his old Toyota sedan with ONLY a box cutter for the job!~ NOTHING ELSE! He started cutting the ceiling wallboard in a hit or miss attempt to locate the leak. While doing this he cut his hand on his box cutter and said he would have to leave! I told him I was sorry he injured himself but could not be happier to see him leave. He was totally incapable of doing the job. CHW must work very hard to find these incapable contractors that lack the very basic knowledge of their "trades". The A/C contractor and dry wall contractor were worthless. I contacted CHW to inform them of my utter disgust... got nowhere … cancelled my policy less $ 100 cancellation fee... another one of their rip offs. I swear that all of the details listed above are entirely true in fact. Please, please, stay away from this company! PS I would give them a ZERO rating but that is not an option

I would give this company zero stars if allowed and I cannot believe with all the negative comments, unethical behavior and total lack or regard for customer service this company is allowed to remain in existence and continue to profit from unsuspecting consumers. I unfortunately inherited this ridiculous company during the purchase of my new home in South Carolina (thankfully I did not choose this for myself) and I will say the moment it ends I WILL NOT BE RENEWING!!!! I am going on day 4 of no air conditioning in July and was told it would be another week because of a part that the 2nd vendor they dispatched to my home cannot get the part in a more reasonable time frame ( the vendor that was here previously could have had me up and running within an hour however that claim was denied) apparently they were "looking out for me" and trying to save me money; in the mean time I've paid at least 1 service call and lost two days pay at work due to them "saving me money" and I still have no air. I am extremely dissatisfied with this company for their poor choices made without my consent and shameful work practice. Please DO NOT allow this company to ROB more unsuspecting consumers and heed the advice of all the comments because I promise you they are all true!!!

Choice Home Warranty has acted unethically and failed to honor their promises. In addition, their customer service personal are rude on the telephone. I called to report a problem with my dishwasher and after numerous conversations, calls and being transfered over and over, they finally agree to send someone out to look at the dishwasher. After staying home from work for 2 separate appointments, which were no-shows, someone finally showed up on the 3rd try. After Choice Home Warranty's sub-contractor looked at the dishwasher, he determined the problem was with the electronic board. Although Choice does not covermanual problems, such as a latch not working, they claim they do cover electronic problems. After the sub-contractor's visit I contacted Choice and was told 3 different things by 3 different Choice employee's, including one employee who said not only would they approve the repair but they would wave the $45 copay because of the inconvenance. When no one called back again to schedule the follow up appointment, I called Choice and was told that the repair would not be done and if I wasn't happy I should just file an appeal. I own several rental homes and have never been treated so poorly by a home warranty company. I recommend you stay as far away as possible from Choice, there are more reputable companies offering much better customer service.

Beginning of 2019 we fully paid and got total plan for 3 years with this company as the sales person (Mr. T) was so convincing. We fully paid and extended up to 3 years believing his words and promise that all major repairs will be covered. He mentioned during the call, if an appliance needs to be replaced (if it can't be repaired), they will either replace it with same or similar model with same value. THIS IS A LIE, do not fall for this like we did, please review the contract 100 times as they do not explain anything. Our refrigerator started having issues since April 2019 and they sent a technician three times to fix it, finally he told the refrigerator needs to be replaced. My Samsung refrigerator is $1800 value in current market. Choice home warranty offered me $599 and they said they reserve the right to offer cash back instead of replacing the appliance. In their contract there is a clause (F-16) which states "We reserve the right to offer cash back in lieu of repair or replacement in the amount of Our actual cost (which at times may be less than retail) to repair or replace any covered system, component or appliance." But they do not tell what is "at times" and how they decide this "at times" or how they decide the actual cost "which may be less than retail" (which is nowhere closer to current Market Value). After doing an appeal, a case manager was assigned (Cheryl) and she said the final offer would be $750 for a refrigerator worth $1800 and this appeal cannot be escalated further, as company's CEO has authorized her alone for this claim apparently. I can understand that they cannot replace the entire amount, but what they are offering is unreasonable and absurd. They are not even ready to cover half the amount for the refrigerator. REALLY POOR, UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISREPUTABLE SERVICE from CHOICE HOME WARRANTY. Most of my food is getting spoiled for last few months and the conversation is still going on. I would not recommend this company to any of my friends.

This is such a RIP OFF. You are required to pay a service fee for them to send a repair person to assess the issue, then they determine whether they will cover the repair at 100%, partially, or not at all. I called in two claims and they denied the one related to a gas leak indicating that it was from an improperly installed system. Said system was installed about four years ago, so why is it now just leaking if it was improperly installed and passed down inspection? So I paid $60 for nothing and still need to find someone to fix the issue!! Then they partially covered my air conditioner claim. They paid $110 and I had to pay $168 in addition to the $60 service fee that I paid for the review! I immediately cancelled my policy. I will pay PC Richards for extended warranty on my appliances as I know they stand by their warranty and find a good plumber/hvac person to have on call.

All the NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE TRUE!!! They are CROOKS, They are The WORST. They will find any reason not to pay for any serious work. I had an unit that has been maintained for all the 20 years that I have had it. The life of the unit was actually 15 years and yet it succeeded 5 more years until recently I need someone to come look at it. It needed a new compressor and less then 15 minutes on submitting with was wrong with the unit Choice Home Denied my claim and refused to pay for the repair. I have been a loyal customer for many, years, going against the reviews of customers, and technicians who All say the SAME, Choice Home Warranty is a RIP-OFF, Please, Stay Away, because, when you really need them they will NOT BE THERE!!! They will take your monthly payments and screw you in the end. Trust me Do Your Research, and Really find a Good company, I left one company many years ago, to go with Choice Home Warranty, What a Major mistake Now, all the years paying for something like this, and now my family has no Cooling System, because they will not HONOR my Claim.

Choice Home Warranty is a completed rip off. They mislead you thinking your AC issue will be covered only to denied your claim stating they are not liable for rust and corrosion but for three years I have had an AC leak and each time I file my claim with CHW they sent some “Shade Tree Techs” to come patch the issue up not fix. I had carbon monoxide leaking in my home and no tech inform me of that until they sent another tech out who able to explain the real problem in regards to my leak. A class act lawsuit need to be filed with company and they need to be repeated to Better Business Bureau. CHW do not reply back with your scripted Bull crap stating it’s Not Included, Bla, Bla. This company is a joke please don’t purchase them you will regret it like the rest of us.

We paid for full coverage and have had nothing but set backs from this company. Our first issue was with our dishwasher when we first moved in. The dishwasher was leaking profusely so we called and it took 2 days of us repeatedly calling for them to send someone out. We paid the $60 for the technician to come out, look at it and say, “I don’t handle this.” After calling the company back they kept giving us the run around and we ended up spending $20 to replace a hose ourselves. Our next, and biggest issue was with our water heater. When we purchased the policy we were told that if it couldn’t be fixed it would be replaced. When our water heater went out we called and they had someone here within 24hrs who said the tank needed replacing. Over the next 3 days Choice Home Warranty gave us the run around, wouldn’t answer any questions and said “they would get back to us”. They never did and on the 3rd day we called and they said that there is an exclusion to the replacement of water heater tanks. Customer service is spotty at best, they do not use reliable technicians and the loopholes in their policy are not worth the money they suck from you. All things considered, I would never recommend this company to anyone.

We were persuaded to leave our previous home warrant company by a sales person who TOTALLY misrepresented the coverage. We purchased 3 year policies on 3 of our properties, paid cash in advance and were told EVERYTHING was covered!!!!!! Almost NOTHING is covered. Almost every claim has to be disputed because, if you read the small print most everything is EXCLUDED!!!!! Even our leaky bathroom faucet was refused. Apparently they don’t cover faucets!!!!!!! Now we are having problems with our air conditioner!!!! 2 of their contractors as well as another, that we paid an additional service fee say they believe the unit needs to be replaced because of normal use, regular maintenance and age!!!!!! Nope, not covered!!!!!!! Been fighting for 2 weeks and they are refusing to do anything. The representative, Centrelle B, flatly refuses to negotiate any part of the air conditioning unit because she feels that we should replace any and all parts that ARE NOT covered rather than follow the advice of the contractors that say the unit should be replaced!!!! When my husband asked to speak to her supervisor, she said she is the person in charge and there is no one in a higher position!!!! I believe, based on my experience with Choice Home Warranty that they are THE WORST home warranty company that I have EVER dealt with and I have been in the real estate industry for 39 years and have seen them all!!!!! We based our purchase of the warranty on the statements of the sales person. Don’t be fooled!!! We are now going to file complaints with the attorney general and Better Business Bureau in the state of New Jersey because that is where their corporate office is. If your thinking of purchasing a warranty for your home, make sure you read EVERY WORD of the policy. I think you’ll choose another company. And if there is a person in charge that has some ownership or authority, I suggest you keep an eye on what’s going on there!!!! Read the reviews yourself. Or possibly, once you get your money, you just don’t care!!!!!

Do not buy Home Choice Warranty (HCW) as they do not honor what they say. My AC blower failed due to aging but HCW claims it failed due to lack of or improper maintenance. The blower wheel was inspected and cleaned by local AC company seasonally as recommended by manufacture yet HCW would not approve claim. The system was an older system but failed due to aging and fatigue. They do not understand proper AC maintenance and are not worth the paper the contract is written on. Even sent them a picture and had them speak with my AC technician with me present. DO NOT GET SUCKED INTO HCW CONTRACT. We immediately cancelled our contract as HCW is a joke.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was absolutely lied to by Tom, the representative who sold me my policies. I am Active Duty Military and currently deployed. I have a policy on each of my rental properties in order to remove hassle from my wife while I am gone. We have had MULTIPLE VERY POOR experiences between Dec 2018 and July 2019. One repair to a fridge took over 4 weeks; four weeks of back-and-forth while my tenant with 3 children cant keep milk from spoiling. On another claim we were told the renters in the other house would have to wait 2 weeks for hot water; zero effort by Choice to help speed that along. We paid for the repairs out of pocket and Choice refused to reimburse any of the cost. Now I have been told that dishwasher needing repair will be replaced... but not actually replaced. Choice will instead charge us $60 for the service call and give us 38% of the actual cost to replace the dishwasher with the same brand and like model. This has been anything but professional, and has only served to increase stress on my family while I am deployed. I HAD TO PURCHASE A DISHWASHER FROM LOWES ONLINE, OUT OF POCKET, CALL FOR A PLUMBER, ARRANGE DELIVERY AND INSTALL, PAY FOR INSTALL, AND HAVE DONE IT ALL FROM THE MIDDLE EAST! What exactly is the point of the policy? This company's performance has been extremely poor. They have NOT delivered the service the y advertised, and I have been directly lied to twice now by their representatives.

Too bad I can't leave negative star review for this company. I filed 2 claims with this company and both claims were denied. I had extra coverage due to pool. With one claim they refused to repair pool heater since what they say is electronics in pool heater are not covered which BS considering that the primary issue with pool heaters are always electronics. Second claim was about GFI circuit keep popping in the garage and they refused to repair that as well since the company stated that they need to run wire trace since they are not sure what causing it to pop. I only have one question what exactly are you guys covering since every single time you deny any kind of repair? This is the worse company ever and feels like a complete scam. Now i'm requesting my money back since it will be much cheaper to fix all the issues yourself then even bother with them. Don't waste your money or time with them. Btw if you look closely at their agreement they DO NOT COVER ANYTHING.

I was told today by a salesperson that if my Air Conditioner or Gas Furnace went out, it would be replaced. They also told me I was getting a special Military Discount. She also told me that I could choose any company in my area to do the repairs. I get the email contract tonight and read it. It states up to only 1500 dollars. That won't replace an Air Conditioner Unit, nor a gas Furnace. It also states that they choose who comes. I also had my son call and they stated to him everyone gets the lower price. It is 420.00 per year. I am sure they won't allow this to be posted. I am cancelling my contract tomorrow.

I have been waiting a month trying to resolve the claim with my dishwasher. It took over a week to get anyone in my area to accept the job and then it was decided that it would need to be replaced. After a day or two, I was sent and email offering my $175 to replace my stainless steel Whirlpool dishwasher( installation was not included). When I did not accept this offer, I was assigned a case manager for an appeal. I did not understand this at all. How did become an issue? I just wanted the same dishwasher I had in working order. After multiple phone calls and couple of weeks of my emails and phone calls not being returned, I called to speak to someone else. I was told they could not help me because I was assigned a case manager. I made it known that she was not calling me back. They did call me back today and $225 dollars is all they will give me towards a new dishwasher and no installation. The check will take up to 30 days to get here. Needless to say, I will not be renewing my policy. This company uses false advertisement. They should say they pay for partial replacement and no installation. They keep reusing the same statement. "We don't pay retail cost of replacement". I do have to pay the retail cost of replacement

We have only had our policy 4 months with the purchase of our home. The seller chose the company and paid at closing. I ABSOLUTELY HATE THIS COMPANY!!! We placed a claim July 11 for our AC being out and was scheduled same day late in the evening for the next week Wednesday. I called the company the next morning and was told by the owner that they would not be able to make it to me and would more than likely reschedule my appointment. I called CHW and they did nothing! So the day of my appointment I recieved an email my appointment was canceled. I called them again and all they said was well we will submit another claim to the dispatch. Even when an appointment was not found in 12 hours I asked if I could hire my own tech because it was 81 degrees in my house they said they only reimburse at their rate even though all tech calls are about $100. It took 2 days to get a new appointment and it was scheduled for the next day. I again called the tech and he informed me he owned the company and WOULD NOT BE COMING TO MY APPOINTMENT OR 7 OTHERS CHW SENT because there was no work order and he doesn't send his employees to jobs with no information. All CHW sent was our name, address and email address. It is now Sunday July 22 and still NO Tech and NO AIR. And it seems no resolution and I call constantly!!!

Don't waste your money!!! January 2019, we called in for an oven repair. It was a simple fix. Needed a new control board for an oven less that seven years old. I was told by a technician that they don't make control boards any longer. Five visits later-- in April, they had taken the existing control board tried to rebuild it twice (wouldn't work), and one of those times it sparked and blew out the control board and could have caused a serious fire. Filled the house with smoke. Lost all confidence in this company. I then decided to call the oven company. They told me, by law they have to have parts for seven years. I ordered the part, had it in a few days, called a technician from a local reputable company, it was fixed that week. This was almost FOUR MONTHS later!! This company would not pay for the service call. I asked for our money back. They gave us a fraction of the investment back. Please don't trust this company!

I gave 1 star because there was not a choice for negative stars. This company is a scam and totally disreputable. On May 29, 2019 a fan blade on our A/C unit broke and damaged the condenser coils. Our claim was denied because they said the condenser coils were not covered, however the damage was done by the fan, which is covered. We filed a claim and were assigned a case manager and number. We were told we would receive a call from her. After several emails and phone messages to her with no response, I was able to talk to someone who assured me that I would receive a call from my case manager. This person did say only “normal wear and tear” was covered. I believe the fan blade breaking on its own is “normal wear and tear”. I shared that my husband is a 74 yr old Viet Nam veteran with PTSD who was recovering from a major back surgery at the time the A/C stopped working. To this date, 7 weeks later, we have received no contact from our case manager or anyone at Choice Home Warranty. Do your homework and read all the extremely negative reviews of this company. Please do not leave the insincere automated response.

BUYER BEWARE. The company's claims are obfuscations and its dealings with customers opaque and convoluted. CHW does not do as it says. They could not find a technician in our area to fix an A/C unit that had failed. After nearly 24 hours, CHW was still unable to find a technician. During this process, communication with CHW was a complete black hole. We had to call them to find out what was happening. Ultimately, we had to source our own HVAC technician. The 15-minute claim of authorization is a fabrication, more like 6 to 7 hours. We were denied the claim and the fabricated excuse given was made from the information gleaned from 2 photographs and patently false. Our Tech advised CHW, over the phone, the unit was in very good condition, other than a shorted compressor. CHW determined that we had failed to maintain the A/C unit, a determination made from a single photo. A determination we find flabbergasting as we did maintenance in May 2019. CHW uses a strategy of delay, delay, delay until you are in a situation where you must take ownership of the project yourself to get results and then conjure a denial, so they don't have to honor their policy. Don't make this company your choice, it would be a mistake. The experience was completely unsatisfactory and a waste of money, both for the warranty and the value of our time.

This company is not worth one penny! When looking for a home warranty company, please look somewhere else! CHW does not care about their clients. They only want your money each month. I've been with CHW for about a year, and I've had nothing but paying a monthly payment and a $60.00 co-pay when the tech arrives. CHW does not listen to the tech (which is one of their contractors), on what they found the problem to be. When the tech submits the issue(s), and a system must be replaced, CHW will deny the claim, and have you submit an appeal, only to tell you, it's your fault and the unit is not covered. Please, DO NOT go with CHW. They are a big rip-off. Customer Service is bad, Case Manager is Bad, and they will lie when they are signing you up. I would have given them all zero's if the system would allow me.

I purchased a home warranty that was in affect from 1/17/16 through 7/17/19. on July 11th of 2019, the air conditioning system began making a loud noise when it was running which vibrates the house. A claim was made that day to Choice Home Warranty. They did not find someone to take the job so we chose the option to hire our own HVAC professional and to be reimbursed for the cost. we contacted A service man and he agreed to look at it. we explained the process about the home warranty and gave him the claim number and information. He texted us after he looked at it and told us the blower fan was bad. He called Choice Home Warranty to explain the problem and they told him to go forward with the repair. He left us the invoice for $681 for parts and labor and we paid him. We then sent the invoice to the warranty company who is suppose to reimburse within 30 days. After this we received a denial email for the claim stating that excessive dirt on the blower motor caused the fan to go out of balance causing the problem. We then contacted the HVAC professional that did the repair to ask if this was true. He was very upset and said they were lying to get out of paying and that the problem was a bad bearing in the fan motor which caused the fan to go out of balance and it was very clean and there wasn’t any dirt. The Plumbing and Heating provided us a statement saying that the problem was due to a bad bearing and not excessive dirt. we filed an appeal with Choice Home Warranty and they were to assign a case manager within 24 hours.after 2 days someone contacted us and was rude and refused to answer the questions we submitted in writing. We believe this to be fraudulent activity and the warranty company is making up information to not pay a claim they authorized the HVAC professional to do. They also made up a reason that the service company has stated was a lie. We have filed a claim with the FDC and a complaint with the better business Bureau. Buyer beware!

The worst customer service I have ever had. They don't cover A/C units like they say they do. In our state A/C units are used daily. Our compressor went out before the tech showed up they denied our claim. They said the unit was too old and not serviced properly. Tried to cancel service contract they won't answer phone and Email. Finally got it cancelled but they will not refund unused months. 7 months left on contract but they say no refunds period. This is a ripoff for sure. Asked to speak to manager was told she was manager and refused to let me speak to anyone else. Better business bureaus needs to investigate this business! I feel its a scam.

Our washing machine was making a horrible grinding sound and the whole tub filled with water for a small load of clothes. We called Choice Home Warranty, they sent someone and a few days later we received an email. Telling us that we exceeded the load weight and will NOT fix our washer! My husband has been trying to reach the our case manager Douglas Latham, of course there has not been any return calls or email. My husband has called everyday and is sent to voice mail every time, why be a manager if you ignore your customers?? Our washer has been out since July 10, 2019 and we have an 2.5 year which you know they go through clothes quick, plus 3 adults. I went to the laundromat to do 3 medium loads and a large load of towels, it cost $10. I had to haul wet clothes so I could use my dryer at home to avoid more cost. How is that they determine that we exceed the load weight ? Are they living with us or have a hidden camera? That is just a escape goat to Not to uphold their obligations!! What do we do now since no one will call us back? Pay for repairs out our pockets, then why have a home warranty company? Buy a new washer which we can't afford either!! What a huge disappointment and waste of money to have this company
