I had a problem with my heating unit and as per technician inside motor small bracket broken. It is simple wear & tear and can be fix with only $70 but choice consultant over the phone pressurizing technician which I had over heard and asked what is the reason for it. He is telling again and again that "I don't know" as it was inside the motor and no external items are there. Finally Choice declined and said this is not a wear & tear. Highly highly unprofessional and manipulator. Finally same technician fixed for just few $$ extra....

we have not had good service because CHW does not have service people who could repair our covered hot tub and pool. technician. Then 2 different companies accept the posted repair. Had a date and time. They did not call or show up. You offer us a solution of finding our own People just don’t want to work with home warranty companies. We were out the cost of the policy plus the entire repair of the appliance. CHW did not offer to cover any of the cost. On 2 calls CHW came out and stated, we can’t repair it because it’s too old, took the service call fee, then left.

I bought the policy online, and 2 sec later my phone rang and I got the hard sale for six more years. Keep saying no. if this is any consolation that a company has to put a hard sale on you I wonder what it will be like when I have a claim.

My only concern is that it takes a while for them to get some one out to make repairs. I waited around three weeks to get the ice maker in my refrigerator repaired. Very slow service has been my experience.

The technician is professional and thorough. The warranty service is terrible. our furnace doesn't work and a part is not available for several days which causes an issues as we live in Illinois and the temperature is dropping to 20 degrees at night and is 30 degrees during the day. The interior of the house is dropping into the 40's. This is unacceptable. We have paid a lot of money for the warranty service and Choice Warranty refuses to replace the furnace.

Sometimes they send good people and fix things. My refrigerator went out. They sent a man who said it would cost $1200 and Choice will not pay but would be replacing my refrigerator. . Choice offered me $900+ for a GE MONOGRAM, STAINLESS With Ice and water through the door. I would never recommend the company and am changing as we speak. I am waiting on a technician to fix leaky faucets. They have told me to get my own, but I am really not confident that they will pay. Good luck.

I had to get the attorney general's office to aide I getting help from choice. Even after all that they tried to deny the fix for the heater. The tech who eventually fixed it was fantastic and got the heat on but it took over two weeks to get one to my home

You took care of my AC and refrigerator problem this time, but in 2016 when I needed assistance you denied my claim for AC repair. I had just moved in the house in September of 2015 and had the AC checked out with my quarterly service and you denied getting the AC repaired. I believe you only repaired it this time because my contract was expiring and the problem was minor.

I made the mistake of paying for five years and to add insult to injury I recommended CHW to numerous friends who fell for the sales pitch as well. I've now accepted that it's a scam. When well qualified technicians advise that a unit be replaced and state that the unit in question was maintained over its useful life, yet CHW denies the claim. It's a scam and I've had to apologize to those who took my advice to subscribe.

Up until the latest problem I was happy with the service. The problem I'm having with my refrigerator has been mishandled. I believe that the problem is because it's a high price item and choice warranty just doesn't want to cover the cost I would make sure anyone who asks me about the company I would tell how I was treated unfairly in my opinion

At time of choosing choice they had excellent reviews however at time of need our 48 hours ended at 72 hours. However it wasn't an appliance that was our issue there was no water coming into our house. We paid extra for that service and then their verbiage ended by not covering anything to do with our well pump which we paid extra for. Very bad experience with Choice*. The only thing they did well was sending the technician that they sent. He was the best. We now have a top notch plumbing technician that we can call from now on. Read what is covered before you commit.

Too many complaints to list but 1st my policy was bought on 2/24/22 but CHW claim it was purchased in Nov 2021. I didn't even look at this house until Jan 2022. Paid receipt from CHW says 2/24/22 via email from them. I was told it cancels on 11/10/22 then 1/23 neither being a full year policy. I was approved for my hot water heater to be replaced. CHW made an agreement with the tech for me to pay $300 for uncovered parts and installation.

The technician was great, however when I called to place my claim I specifically asked the claims representative of the sump pump was covered under my warranty. She said yes, but after the arrival of the technician Choice denied the claim by saying they did not cover sump pumps. Because of this I will never sign up for your warranty again and would never recommend your product to anyone.

Technician did not show up several times for an appointment to fix our dishwasher. When one finally showed up, he said it needed a new motor. There was no follow up, and we had to chase Choice several times over a 3 month period. A new technician came out and recommended a replacement. Choice offered us $245 for a dishwasher valued at $650. We will be canceling our coverage and going with AHS. The higher call out fee and premium is worth the quality of service and the old for new that AHS offers.

It has taken too long for repair of my washer. It was a week before the service tech. from Sears was available. He was great but had to order a drain pump which was sent directly to my home. The part came in just a few days but tech. can't come till Nov. 9th. Going out to do the laundry isn't easy and is costly,three weeks is way too long.

I dislike how CHOICE HOME WARRANTY, rips you off , they will repair things for you in your home & in the last 4months of my contract with ,CHOICE HOME WARRANTY began to deny my claims unless I RENEW my contract with them. NOW WHY WOULD I RECOMMEND CHOICE HOME WARRANTY to some one . they sent a plumber out to stop a leak in both bath rooms he took my faucets apart left it `because he had to send the claim to CHW , they denied the claim ,now how do I get my faucet put back together?

Paid the monthly fee for three years. Microwave hasn't worked for almost one month. Sent somebody out after most three weeks. Need a new microwave. They said they would send me a check for $191 to get a new microwave. The problem is this is a built in microwave above the stove. And this microwave currently sells for $319.99. They want me to get a cheaper microwave and pay somebody else to install it. Why the hell even have a warranty. This company is a fraud. If they don't fix this correctly, I will need to find an attorney. They are HORRIBLE.

If I could select 0 stars I would!! This is the worst experience I have ever had with a warranty company and have taken the #1 worst spot from American Home Shield! Every time I have any correspondence with Choice it has not been good, they seem to only want my money and could actually care less about me, my family or any of the items they state they cover!! Would never recommend this company to anyone as I would feel like a thief if I did.

If I could leave a zero or negative rating I would. What a horrible company and stressful time consuming fight! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I have a six year contract with them and they refuse to accept claim for a failed heating unit on the basis of it not being a "normal" failure! They just want to avoid responsibility!! And then they shut you off to any communication following denial! I have reported them to BBB, NJ consumer investigations and my home state insurance investigations division!

I have attempted to have many things fixed and either they can’t find a technician and want me to find one and pay out of pocket or they just take way too long to get some one at my home. Never had one thing fixed yet. I have been with them since 2017. Need to go back to American home shield at least they had technicians in my area! Now my 5 year old freezer/ refrigerator is not cooling and it’s been 4 hours and no calls!!! I see it coming … their going to say you will have to pay out of your pocket and contact a technician! Looking for a new warrranty company!

Dryer failure. Takes two days to talk to someone. Then they offer maybe 50% of retail value. With inflation and old dryer that is just awful. Considering $85 deductible and monthly premium, cash offer is maybe 30% of retail replacement. I have had much better experience with their competitor. I took the gift card offer, when I clicked the offer, it say it may take 30 days to the gift card. So if that is the time frame, I will be out of dryer for 45 days. Not very customer friendly at all.

We put in a claim for our old refrigerator/freezer because seal was leaking. We were told appliance tech would arrive between 11 - 3, but he never showed or called. We called CHW and set a new date. Tech advised me CHW told him not to replace the faulty seal that was in stock because the refrigerator still worked. We had to pay technician anyway! CHW refused to fix or replace our refrigerator as per contract!
