In the last month every claim was denied approval for fixing and then when I tried to appeal it my case managers never even responded ton emails or phone calls. Some one else would, but it was only a denial service. So paying for some one just to say that its normal wear and tear on items but then denied service. We canceled our policy. We had never ran into this issue before. So not sure why everything getting denied now. And what I consider normal wear and tear on items isn't considered normal in your terms so just seems very subjective.

This company is difficult to get ahold of and there's no easy way to dispute/appeal a claim. They do not deal in emergencies, however, every item you'd need a home warranty are emergency items (hot water heaters, AC units, stoves, etc). Inevitably it takes so long to get this work completed it'd be easier to just pay for it yourself rather than dealing with the aggravation of using a home warranty.

I bought a warranty for my son and he called 3 weeks ago for a repair on his dishwasher. The guy came out and said he needs a new control panel and it would be a few days. He had tried to reach out to this guy and no one answers the phone. This has been going on for 3 weeks not acceptable.

This is a scandalous, underhanded, lying, deceitful company. You do not want to do business with under any circumstances! My 23-year-old AC unit finally bit the dirt. No thanks to the second Tech they sent out, putting the wrong capacitor in, and blew it up !! Second tech told me thats what caused it to burn up. And they blame me!! Seriously this company is more than pathetic. I would say that they are totally worthless. But then again they can always be used for a bad example!!

It is difficult to get a claim processed. Two weeks when your washer is not working when you have a family is too long. No response when it is -35 Fahrenheit and your heater is broken and Choice does not reply. Then when they do, they send, a 'were sorry we weren't able to help you ' email.

They will not fix my ice maker. Their salesperson conned me into renewing my contract telling me their new contract covered more. I asked for cancellation & he refused. I cannot get service, one service company insisted I pay my co pay on cash. I refused, he insisted. I took a picture of the cash & documented the serial numbers plus I have my written receipt. It’s the worst company possible. My ice maker still isn’t fixed. When I get water from it, it’s full of ground up plastic.,

I was told when I purchased the warranty that I would be paid replacement value of an item with the same specs if it was not able to be fixed. That was not the case when I filed a claim for my Samsung range. The part I needed was no longer available so Choice originally offered me $350 to replace my range. After declining that offer I was issued a check for $455, the absolute highest they would pay out. I couldn’t find a range with the same specs under $799. So Choice Home Warranty is no more honest than any other misleading home warranty service.

I told them that my stove was original…40yrs old when I bought the policy. I specifically asked that if it went out would they replace my stove! They said yes! 4 yrs later my stove goes out and instead of replacing my stove, they gave me a $500 gift card for Lowes! Absolutely awful! My son had the same experience with his air conditioner and his Choice policy.

It takes a really long time to get payment for an appliance that has gone out. My dishwasher is not working and the guy was out 3 weeks ago. He said it couldn’t be fixed. I’ve heard nothing back from Choice Home Warranty. I’ve called but the claim hasn’t been processed.

IF I could give zero stars, that would be much better!!!! I signed up for the reviews app. I gave my user name and password. My user name was totally messed up. Of course there is NO MEANS TO CORRECT THEIR ERROR!!!! If I could give negative stars, I would gladly offer the negative stars in generous numbers on this alone! Unless this can be corrected, I may just totally wash my hand of Choice Home Warrantee!!!! I doubt that they care, so we shall ee what we see....

This company is a fraud. They do not stand behind their promises. I had a dishwasher that wore a hole in the tub from normal wear and use, they would not make the repair, and when I wanted to cancel my contract they keep most of my money. The customer contact we very rude and disrespectful. I do not recommend choice home warranty. They charge way to much for what you get.

Ok for minor repairs and replacements. When it comes to major appliances I’ve been consistently disappointed with “like for like” replacements. The value of the replacements offered are nowhere near the value of the items needing replacement. For example I was offered $450 as a “replacement” for a $1000 dishwasher.

Called choice warranty on Jan.7th. to file claim to repair microwave . Then on Jan. 10 was notified that Stephens appliance repair would be out to evaluate problem, they notified Choice on problem and cost of repairs Still waiting .On Feb. 7 called choice to voice concerns ,stated they would call me back within 24 hrs. again still waiting for update!

I had a whole house plumbing inspection that found a rusted joint on top of the water heater. The technician informed me that it should be repaired before it rust through discharging water all over the garage. CHW refused to repair and will not do so until it fails causing significant damage to my garage and costing them more to repair.

Choice has short comings. Replacement appliances are pro rated & the Lowes Credit certificate takes weeks to arrive. Also they don’t cover mane water line or its shut off valve. Minor issues are handled okay but appliances trouble calls can take a week

I am sorely disappointed with the Choice Home Warranty in that they found an excuse not to cover the problems that the service technician pointed out. So I will now have to buy a new refrigerator. So much for the "warranty."

I even called the number of the Plumber in my email, yet his mailbox was full and requesting to leave a text message. I’ve yet to hear back, and my afternoon / evening totally wasted. Don’t know if I’ll hear from you all tomorrow or not. But this is totally unacceptable.
